Pros: Small and elegant hotel. Nice and gentle Staff. Fantastic breakfast prepared with local suppliers. The cornish yogurt was simply amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was one of the best places I've ever stayed! Location was great, but the actual place was finished with so much beauty and care. Every last finishing touch made it feel homely and special, and so well thought out. The food was incredible, and I wish I could have my breakfast with you every day! The thing that made it truly exceptional was the staff however. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with so much kindness and enthusiasm. It's lovely to see staff who genuinely enjoy working where they do, and to put so much effort and interest in. We were provided with a free upgrade to a sea-view room, which made us feel even more valued. I'd like to individually point out your staff member, Chris, who was gracious and attentive and funny. I was on the terrace one evening taking a quick but difficult phone call, and he came out and gave me a blanket and cushion. That small act of kindness reflects their exemplary service. I can't recommend this place enough.
Cons: There isn't one thing we didn't like!

Cons: Small t v. If there’s a downside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the minute we rang the doorbell we knew we had found somewhere special. We were greeted by John and Linda, both with big smiles and as we found out as our stay went on big hearts. Whilst John helped to take our luggage to our room Linda took a tray of tea and choccy biscuits to our room. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a beautiful view of Carbis bay, it felt warm and so cozy and was spotlessly clean, there were toiletries in the bathroom and beautiful whie fluffy towels on the bed. The bed was lovely and comfortable with a nice warm duvet. Breakfast was the tastiest I've ever had, the bacon was thick, juicy and cooked to perfection, the sausages were scrummy and poached eggs cooked to perfection. There was an excellent choice in the menu accompanied with cereal, fresh fruit, seeds and yoghurts. We stayed 4 nights, I didn't want to leave and actually cried in the car for quite a while.

Rooms overlook the bay which is nice, they even give you binoculars. The rooms are very well equipped.
Cons: The building is very old and there's no lift, the rooms are not easily accessible (although they did help with transporting our luggage, so wasn't a big hassle). There's a large trash container right below the window, people throwing away trash in the early morning can be a bit loud.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfasts: the quality of the food and care involved in the preparation was faultless; the 'round-table' and convivial atmosphere made them a joy. The friendly, informative and welcoming hosts only added to the enjoyment of our stay. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Boo and Matt were the perfect hosts! They made sure we were well taken care of and our stay really comfortable. The food was excellent and dining with Boo and Matt felt like having a meal with good friends. The room was very comfortable and the surroundings quiet. It's a good spot to just get away from it all and to just sit and read in the garden. Most of the highlights of Cornwall are a short drive away so this is a good place to set up base. Our hosts are also very knowledgeable on how to best enjoy your time in Cornwall.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, fun, sincere hosts - want to keep them as friends! Great breakfast. Quiet comfortable sleep. They offered to wash/dry a load of laundry . Everything worked perfectly for us.
Cons: You must have a car to stay here and I’m scared of driving in UK but that’s MY problem not Boo&Matts .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully warm welcome . We felt that Boo and Matt were really interested in making our holiday as good as possible for us. They went way beyond our expectations of hospitality making us feel like friends not guests in their home. As a light sleeper when I mentioned a very slight problem with a light shining into the bedroom at night we returned that day to find new curtains solving the problem perfectly. Breakfast was a delight not only because of the fabulous food made to order but the conviviality in the room which I have never experienced elsewhere. It was an absolute joy to stay here.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Proximity to Mount St Michael. Good car parking facilities.
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice location.
Cons: It's all just a bit underwhelming. Great local ingredients cooked in a below average way for breakfast. Room amenities were fine but nothing overly special. 10 am check out time barely gave us time to get sorted in the morning. I fail to see where the £175 a night price tag is really justified.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Great view - asked for sea view. Bed was large, firm. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff were lovely, especially the lady on breakfast duty.
Cons: The meal on first night wasn’t great and the breakfast on first day was a very long wait and when arrived was cold. We were told of a private function on one night meaning the restaurant wouldn’t be open so we booked elsewhere. As it turned out it was the lounge that was closed not the restaurant. It was a shame that we were informed after we had booked and that we were misinformed.

Cons: Nil. The perfect stay.

Pros: Perfect location for a couple looking for a remote country escape but within a short distance from cornish attractions, so peaceful, really took our minds away from the day to day stress of our lives! The apartment was clean and comfortable with a bottle of Cornish Cider and 2 cream scones waiting for us when we arrived, hosts were helpful and even offered to allow my husband to use the WIFI in their private home as it was being tricky! Would definitely stay again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The friendly welcome from the owner, who showed us round on arrival. A kitchen stocked with breakfast essentials and treats, including a cream tea to welcome us! The jug of fresh flowers from the garden in our room. An outside seating area for us to use even though we had an upstairs suite. The selection of books and DVDs provided for our use The lovely garden, with a pool that we would have enjoyed using had the weather been hotter. The thoughtfulness of the owners, who seemed to have considered everything that would make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The peaceful location.
Cons: We would have appreciated a vegetable knife for preparing our salads!

Pros: Welcoming , helpful , friendly host. Beautiful gardens with pool and tennis court. Lovely apartment. Great location for a restful break but equally for walkers and for touring Cornwall. Handy for Minack outdoor theatre, visit to the Scilly Isles and St Michaels Mount. Footpath walks from doorstep. Many thanks to Raphaella.

Cons: Remote location meant patchy/slow internet and phone signal.

Pros: The outdoor pool was an added bonus for us. A great way to start the day or to relax in after a day out exploring Cornwall.
Cons: Having wifi in the room would have made things a bit easier but I do understand why guests prefer to be away from the internet. There is wifi in the conservatory for general use.

7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice breakfast but the time could have been expanded to a little later.
Cons: Our bed was uncomfortable and the towels and linens looked like they had seen better days.
7.1 Good
Pros: The owners were very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was great and the whole place was very clean.
Cons: My room was perhaps the smallest and least well appointed, from the website pictures, the other rooms all looked lovely, so I thought the price was a bit steep for that particular room. It was however clean and comfortable.

Pros: It was a good base for our daily adventures. The bed was comfy. Lovely breakfast. Hazel was a lovely host. Didn't meet Russell, he was too busy beavering away in the kitchen. We had three lovely nights at the Pendennis. Would recommend, definitely. No problem with parking. Thanks Hazel and Russell
