Millers House - Emsworth - Building

9.5 Excellent (265 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Millers House in Emsworth, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Fishbourne Roman Palace and Chichester Cathedral. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast good.
Cons: Noisy road, but that can't be helped as I live in a very quiet location so am not used to traffic noise.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best B&B I’ve used Breakfast very well cooked and presented Room immaculate and tastefully decorated and comfortable Secure location
Cons: Not an interesting location, but only a short walk into Emsworth
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely people Great breakfast!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. Just 2 minutes walk from the station and just 10minutes maximum to walk into the centre of worth. The host was charming. The little touches like having fresh milk in the fridge (in the room) for tea and coffee, the bottles of mineral water supplied each day and the fresh fruit salad at breakfast. I would have no hesitation to stay there again.
Cons: To be honest it would be hard to fault. If I had just one suggestion to make , it would be that an individual cafetiere at breakfast would be nice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Margita, the host, was lovely. The B&B was very stylish - my room was more like a fancy hotel than a B&B. Plenty of space in the room. A huge bed...and proper chairs to sit on instead of having to use the bed or a desk chair. Perfect for travelling on business - would definitely recommend a stay here.
Cons: Nothing - all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location / Room size / Decor and facilities
6.7 Good
Pros: Gated location on small private estate, so relatively secure. Comfortable bed. Immediate surroundings are pleasant. Breakfast- lovely fruit salad to start, the basic breakfast was otherwise uninspiring. To be able to sit out on the patio was pleasant if noisy. We appreciated having a kettle, cups etc supplied. We liked that it is a short walk to the centre of Emsworth which has several different kinds of restaurants etc to choose from if not booked up already.
Cons: We had a room in the single storey extension with a patio door and a window opening to the bedroom, another secure window in the bathroom. Due to the 24 hour racket from the M27, practically overhead, ie about 100yds away, we had to keep the windows shut all night to keep the noise down. The weather was warm and the room was stifling. Sleep was spasmodic. We stopped two nights. We returned to the room for the second night to find that the small bedroom window was wide open, in an effort to cool it down but security is never foolproof. We had left Kindles and a tablet there. Had it been a window in the same style as the bathroom, I would not have been so concerned. We were greeted with paying in straight away and were said to have booked full English breakfast, which we certainly had not. Worrying. Also, no bill was provided to confirm that we had paid and for what exactly. I didn’t think at the time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house, room was gorgeous, bed very comfortable, bathroom and shower really lovely and tastefully designed, good quality monsoon power shower. Breakfast is amazing :-)
Cons: Can't find any fault at all, a lovely stay, we will be back, thank you very much :-)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for my Fiancee's 30th birthday and our engagement. When entering our room we was very surprised to see champagne, a balloon and rose petals on the bed :). Our stay at the Pier was amazing and will definitely be staying again. The room was very clean and homely, we couldn't fault the breakfast. We arrived early before the allocated check in time but was allowed to leave our bags downstairs so we could go and explore the surroundings before returning to enter our room, the same for when leaving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room. Lovely breakfast. Lovely hosts and we were made very welcome

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. It was cooked to order. Selection was great: fresh fruit, orange juice, cereals, homemade yogurt, in fact everything you could think of was available. We were asked if we wanted 'full English' (you could choose to have what you wanted). Whilst awaiting cooked breakfast fresh coffee was brought to the table and we were invited to choose fruit, croissants and cereal whilst we waited for the cooked breakfast. Everything was served with a smile.
Cons: There was very little not to like. The shower was not easy to use but instructions were placed above the adjacent wash basin on how to get the temperature right.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place with friendly staff, comfortable beds and very cosy Homemade breakfast was amazing . Will definitely be back thankyou
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast and great location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the place really goes the extra mile to make guests feel at home. A cosy small yet very comfortable room, lovely kitchen in house style breakfast, home made products, very comfortable beds. Very nice outlet shopping centre in the harbour at walking distance Portsmouth, and underestimated place worth a stop.
Cons: No view, but really, thats not a problem as the walk down the pier is really where you gate all the views you wish
10.0 Excellent
Cons: It was fantastic. And the woman was brilliant. I'll come again
7.1 Good
Pros: The owner was lovely and very helpful. Did two bags of washing at no cost.
Cons: The bathroom. The shower was very difficult to control regarding temperature.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The fun decor, the history, the incredible breakfast, insanely comfy bed, great staff, excellent location (close to The Square Tower, waterfront and lots of cafes and pubs). We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn’t have loved it more.
Cons: Period features = sometimes you bump your head on the doorframe when going to the bathroom! :) funny for me but not for him...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lot of history within its walls. Alex was extremely helpful and a great host. Very well maintained down to the finest detail. Lovely
Cons: Nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Garden and room
Cons: Maybe full English breakfast would of been an improvement. Only continental. Because everything else was so fantastic, it was acceptable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was excellent, the hotel beautiful and the location in the very nicest part of Portsmouth
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ian the owner was just amazing and so informative and welcoming. The hotel is a hidden gem in Portsmouth. Everything was of top quality in terms of breakfast etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts Ian and Alex were superb, so courteous, welcoming, informative and charming. The hotel is so unique and the attention to detail is outstanding. Everything from the beautiful linen, crockery, toiletries and breakfast. it truly was a feast for the senses. You can see so much love and hard work has gone into creating such a unique and beautiful hotel. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will definitely be returning and hope to spend more time in the actual hotel. The hotel is in a great location for everything with parking directly outside; we were even given a 24 hr. permit. Can’t wait to return.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely warm welcome from Alex who straight away poured us a drink to welcome us. The room was very clean with a beautiful bathroom. The bed was so comfy and all the windows opened so we could have a lovely through breeze. We were allowed to leave our luggage after we checked out as we wanted to go for a walk along the seafront. On our return we wanted a taxi and the lovely Alex took us to the station in his own car as there weren’t any available taxi’s.
Cons: If I’m truly honest the room was lovely but we could hear the noise from the bar downstairs whilst we chilled in our room. Saying this it didn’t go on all night. The breakfast is continental and there was a large selection of food my only slight issue is that the cheese and Ham were on the same plate and I’m vegetarian so I would eat from a plate that meats been on, but I didn’t say anything as that’s probably just me being very strict. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is truly exceptional in all respects. A real treasure.
Cons: Nothing

Becketts Southsea - Southsea - Bedroom
4
9.4 Excellent (266 reviews)
Overview Reviews
For the past 30 years Becketts has been one of Southsea’s most loved restaurant and bar. New owners took it over in January 2016 with vision for its future. After purchasing its neighbouring property, these 2 beautiful Grade II listed buildings have been lovingly nipped and tucked and meticulously brought back to life. Featuring 4 floors of hand made wood designs, ambient lighting, several dining areas, a private dining room and 6 boutique bedrooms, the finished result is something very special and distinctively unique. Becketts is a lively venue, the only one in our city where you can brunch, lunch, dine, drink and sleep!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice touch with glass of bubbly on arrival, room modern and well designed. Bed extremely comfortable and clean. Sunday roast best ever, and highly recommended.
Cons: Shame not able to add additional meals on to room tab. Air con on upper floor would be a bonus on hot nights. Voiles also worth considering as neighbours had birds eye view especially if you didn’t want to close blinds fully
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfy bed large white fluffy towels .
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We received a lovely welcome with prosecco. We were quickly able to settle into our beautiful room. Everything was ready, the room was superbly presented. A great start to our weekend. The breakfast was amazing. We’ll be back!
6.7 Good
Pros: The bed and the shower were good. The restaurant and the food was excellent.
Cons: Room was extremely noisy. And we were unable to change. There were speakers underneath our floor which pounded a bass beat that started at 7:45 in the morning. We weren’t allowed to have a drink at the bar before our meal because it was the time of our booking. At breakfast the base was banging out still and we asked the staff to change the backing track, they didn’t. Breakfast wasn’t wonderful, the hashbrowns were dripping in fat, and the bacon was underdone.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, buzzy atmosphere. Fab location .
Cons: Room very warm & small but really well designed. Had a fan to help with the heat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Couldn’t recommend this place more! Had a great stay. Staff was really friendly and helpful, room was beautiful and the bed was incredible! Will be back again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was lovely and comfortable. Everything you need in a room including Netflix. Breakfast was amazing and all cooked fresh. Had dinner in the restaurant too which was superb!
Cons: Only downside was you can hear the music beat from the bedrooms
7.9 Good
Cons: Not clear on booking that room was so small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We didn't manage to stay for breakfast as we had to leave for Goodwood before the place got going on Sunday morning but have to say Becketts really did surpass expectations from a staff perspective. They really could not have been more helpful in any aspect of our stay and the food on Saturday evening was really lovely. A welcome glass of Prosecco was a lovely touch after a long drive. We would definitely stay here again without question
Cons: Nothing, it was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, clean, extremely friendly staff Good facilities

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good, with ample amount. the service was very good.
Cons: I thought their were showers in the rooms, but in my room the shower had been dismantled. For people who don't have a sat-nav it is very difficult to find the property in the dark. I didn't see any signs on the out side of the property, even in daylight.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big room. Amazing breakfast served. Very friendly owners.
Cons: No tea making facilities in room. No shower in room, only a bath.

Pros: Breakfast

9.2 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the breakfast good variety also reasonable choice of cooked breakfast. Lovely views while sitting eating. Very grand house lovely people could do with a little updating but still nice as it is. The grounds were very extensive and it was lovely to look around. The rooms were very clean. .
Cons: As I said before a little updating needed. Some of the bathroom fittings need to be looked at. The toilet was difficult to flush properly as the handle kept turning around and the plug hole on the sink needs to be cleared through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning country house in lovely, and quiet location. Really hope we are able to stay again sometime.
Cons: Shower head doesn't work properly, needs checking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good old-fashioned luxury. Beautiful house in incredible grounds. The room was enormous, huge bathroom. Comfortable beds and very clean. The owners work really hard to maintain the house and it was a little like stepping back in time but with mod cons like WiFi and tv ! Surroundings were amazing and would love to stay again and walk around the grounds. Owners were extremely friendly and down to earth. Very helpful about local restaurants and amenities. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
Cons: Nothing to dislike

9.2 Excellent (588 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Blue Star House in Southsea, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Gunwharf Quays and Spinnaker Tower. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 3 of us booked two rooms, all very happy with the cleanliness and comfort of rooms, facilities and complimentary tea, coffee, cereals, etc., thank you :) the proximity to local pubs, bars and restaurants was really good and would recommend The Meat and Barrel and Soprano's for food. We would all stay again, see you some time soon.
Cons: The bottom of the door frame in the bathroom (Room 1) needs waterproofing, to match the door, where it works well, but this doesn't deflect from the overall cleanliness or comfort of the room!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great to have microwaves and ovens. Nicely decorated, quiet place, with ok parking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All good
Cons: Parking on the drive 2 cars to close could get though to the door but everything else was excellent
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Lovely and clean - great facilities - comfy bed with crisp fresh linen
Cons: Brilliant - nothing really, very minor things that aren't worth or possible to change. - The shower was a bit odd being directly in the centre of the bathroom but it was fine - Further to walk than id like, should of taken a bus
10.0 Excellent
Pros: a very comfortable stay. we were able to use the kitchen facilities and sit in the lounge so it was like staying in a house rather than just having a room. buses to the historic dockyard were frequent
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Charlotte allowed us an early check-in which was really appreciated. We managed to park our car off-road (but only small cars can park in those spaces). The staff are really pleasant. The room was clean & the bed was comfortable. The double room was a little small which wasn't helped by the amount of luggage that we'd brought ! The kitchen was very well appointed and to a good specification. Help yourself drinks and snacks were available, as was a table and chairs if you wanted to make/eat your own meals. Each room had it's own personal breakfast cupboard.
Cons: Minor point but we thought the room would be serviced daily. Maybe we overlooked this when booking ??
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simple and easy access to the building, information is clearly displayed and everything easy to locate. Bed rooms are spacious and have everything you could need or want. Bathroom very clean and modern. Love the kitchen area and the idea, everything you could possibly need to make a meal and free tea, coffee etc. Would definitely reccomend and visit again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and very quiet have stayed here before and it is my favourite hotel in Portsmouth.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: They have designed their processes with the client in mind (as opposed to guests having to adapt to the owners quirks). - Easy entry procedure, open kitchen for guests to use, open prompt responses to questions they have. The room was comfortable, clean and airy. It genuinely deserves its high rating score on here.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, beautifully decorated with a great deal of thought into the fixtures and fittings. Food excellent at the Florence Arms. Good selection of drinks and enticing menu.
Cons: Reception was slow
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is ideally located for Southsea, especially the Pyramid centre. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety and was good quality. The room, although very small offered a good level of comfort and cleanliness.
7.5 Good
Pros: Stayed just 2 nights - quirky hotel split over 3 buildings so breakfast was next door but was excellent. Staff were good especially Jasmine whose customer service was fantastic. High quality toiletries and breakfast products.
Cons: We were a little disappointed how small our double room was, for what we paid - there was no room for a bedside cupboard on one side of bed. We booked this hotel based on its beautiful photos of the rooms but the room we were given wasn’t shown, and was not what we were expecting however it was very clean. Tiny bathroom with wobbly toilet seat - despite requesting it be resecured, it wasn’t done. We ate in nearby Florence Arms which was nice but wasn’t impressed with the food - I ordered 2 veg spring rolls and 1 samosa pastry as I just wanted a snack - both were luke warm and had no flavour - I expected more for £11.
7.1 Good
Pros: Decor good. Breakfast very good.
Cons: Don't know where the word suite comes from. We had a tiny room and a bathroom with no bath. Expected more for the money.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing and the service from Jasmin was outstanding. A lovely stay.
Cons: N/A
5.8 Okay
Pros: The Gator pub was excellent and breakfast was really yummy.
Cons: Noisy courtyard just outside our bedroom. The room was so small I was constantly bumping into furniture. I got stuck in the shower and had to get my husband let me out as the door wouldn’t open. No air con - very stuffy!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Set up of the shower was awkward. Very limited parking.
7.1 Good
Pros: It was easy to find and the check in staff were helpful We had a meal in the local pub associated with the property The meal was very good
Cons: When we left we handed in the key and parking permit to the reception staff on duty We were off very early to catch the ferry to France When we landed there was a message saying we had not had in the parking permit which incurred a £100 fine It took 2 calls by my husbands to sort this out Which left a bad taste as the permit had been misfiled
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness and location excellent
Cons: We had a suite, as it was hot a fridge in the room would have been great, and we had a decking area which was definitely in need of some TLC!!! And also had smokers other side of Fenching which not being smokers was no very pleasant, but overall a great few days away
7.1 Good
Pros: We did not have breakfast.
Cons: For an executive king room it was really small, we have stayed in other hotels in Southsea in the Mercier group and have had much bigger king rooms at a similar price, with really comfortable beds. The bed wasn't comfortable, not at all supportive.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's definitely boutique and quirky with real character. It's surprisingly peaceful and comfortable.
Cons: I'd like some outdoor space but I understand that's difficult in this area and the location beside the Rock Gardens makes up for it.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was close to the seafront
Cons: It was soooo expensive. £350 for 1 night. We were disappointed because we expected luxury for that price. The shower head didn’t move up and was uncomfortable for me let alone my husband who is 6ft 4
6.0 Good
Pros: A very comfortable room and breakfast was good. Walking distance to the seafront.
Cons: I thought it was a glorified B&B not a hotel as there was no lounge or bar area. The vicinity was very noisy at night with loud shouting and swearing during both nights. Was not comfortable that our car was safe parked on the street in view of the locality.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved the boutique style of the hotel. The room was very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing I can recall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is right by the sea bout 5 mins walk and the room is very clean and also we did sleep very well. The breakfast is very good and the staff say what do you need just ask. I did went it my car and they told me do i need pass for parking my car and i was very please abut that.

Cons: Having to leave.

Pros: The bedroom was really nice and the bathroom was amaizing. It was very comfortable and worth the money.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff we brilliant, especially Jasmine who is a credit to the company and deserves exceptional praise.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good decor and good comfort
Cons: Off street parking is limited to SIX parking bays whilst the hotel has THIRTEEN suites. On street parking in the evening is mission impossible at best . The hotel should say that parking facilities are VERY limited.

Pros: Breakfast variety was good, plenty of choices and quantity offered. Location adjacent to Harvester bar and restaurants was great.

7.1 Good
Cons: Our room was a little tired the bathroom was tiny but the jacuzzi bath was the same floor size as the bathroom but in the bedroom how long it would have taken to fill I didn’t try
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Lots of damp patches in our bathroom and also a few leaks in the dining room and the carpet was very wet in places. In fairness we were in the middle of a thunderstorm.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was lovely and the hotel was in a perfect location. We also liked the jacuzzi bathtub and big bed.
Cons: I chose this hotel for our Wedding night because I had seen it on TV and it looked fabulous. Very quirky with exciting decor. Unfortunately it seems that since the cameras had left it had gone somewhat downhill. Our room, whilst clean had lots of lights not working, grime on the shower cubicle and the bathroom floor, a peeling headboard that had seen better days and generally the room looked like it needed a good paint. This was by no means a £200 a night hotel room and left us feeling very short changed. The hotel itself always seemed to look like it was on 'change over' day and was quite untidy with lots of towels, sheets, linen bags etc on display in reception. It looked liked it needed a good hoover and clean up. Also it seems that the staff just enter rooms and do not knock first as we had someone do that to our room and then to the one next door whilst people were still in it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Decoration of the room was eclectic. For us, the location was perfect being a short walk to our evening engagement. Overall a very comfortable stay.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, bed was comfy
Cons: Bath towels not large enough for me as I need to loose weight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. A very good choice for the hot meal and the cold buffet. The staff were helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The room was excellent and the décor was great. So much detail, even down to the chandeliers. The hotel was just off the esplanade so it was so easy to get to the beach.
Cons: My only concern was there could have been some handrails. With limited mobility it would have made it easier to have had a rail to get in the front door. There were two high steps and nothing to hold on to. Also part way along the corridor there were two steps down and again nothing to hold. The flight of stairs going to the breakfast room and the bar had no holds for the first three steps until one could reach the banisters.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable room and hotel, staff was 100% excellent totally exceeded our expectations on all levels will stay again no problem !!
Cons: Leaving
10.0 Excellent

6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was awsome, bed very comfortable (room 9) all in all a good stay and a fantastic location.
Cons: Hairs in shower tray and some in the corners of the bathroom (not scalp hairs) Now we’re not on “four in a bed” and it wasn’t really a big issue for us but just a little bit of attention to cleanliness detail and the George hotel would be spot on!
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was delicious
Cons: Shower didn’t work
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for the Old Habour and Gunwarf - 3 minute walk. Friendly and helpful staff and nice pub. Breakfast was also very good. The cost of parking was incredibly cheap and very nearby. We thought the normal cost of £12 for 24 hours was great but to then get 50% off was amazing - it's costs £6 an HOUR where we live !
Cons: The room was a bit warm but I get that it's a tad difficult to install AC in such an old building. We were on the front so it was a bit noisy - next time we'll ask for a room away from the main road.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is perfect for the historic dockyard and very close to the train station. We liked the atmosphere in this very old Portsmouth pub and the friendly staff but don't expect top end luxury it's not what it's about. The Woods navy rum is to die for.
Cons: Nothing really we were very happy with our choice because we knew what to expect.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location for the Historic Dockyard and the Mary Rose and the Gunwharf Quays shopping area. We had a friendly reception and smooth departure.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was first class from staff to food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything fantastic location cant fault nothing
5.8 Okay
Cons: The Price was outrageous due to Goodwood being held at the same time. breakfast dining room very quiet and could do with some background music, felt like being in a library...........
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Certainly as described, very clean, the staff friendly and the location for us was ideal. The breakfast was very nice with enough choice to please most people. The bed was comfortable and the location was quiet which allowed for a good sleep.
Cons: The only negative is the parking, they have off street parking but 1 vehicle was parked there blocking the entrance so no one else could park. Street parking is possible if you arrive early enough to get a space, otherwise you will drive around for quite a while looking for somewhere. If going out at night either walk or get a taxi to avoid the stress, this was however pointed out to us upon our arrival, ignore at your own expense.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was really peaceful place very clean rooms a really good size and breakfast was delicious great service
Cons: No water supplied in the room and really small hair dryer but that’s is being very picky

Pros: Loved this accommodation - so convenient and lovely conversion of a period property.
6.0 Good
Cons: Rooms small, Internet abysmal
7.9 Good
Pros: staff, location, breakfast, parking
Cons: room and bathroom was smaller than expected, other guest were noisy (in fairness the next morning we mentioned this to staff who did tell us we should have let them know and they would have sorted it out) and street noise (although i understand that is not the hotels fault)
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The only minor point is that it was necessary to leave the building.for breakfast .and dinner other that a 100% ok
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location near to the sea front very good. Parking difficult, but we much appreciated them keeping a space off road for us. Food at the nearby gastro pub, part of the same group, excellent. All the staff were charming and the waitress in the pub was particularly helpful.
Cons: We didn't have breakfast which we thought a little on the pricey side, though we didn't see what was on offer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfort and friendly staff, breakfast, room 2 very comfortable and spacious
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean room with nice furnishings, good shower and nice quality bathroom products. Quiet area, and the breakfast was fantastic. Service was excellent and very polite. We couldn't have asked for more really

Pros: Easy to find and with very friendly, obliging staff. Thank you!
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, ample parking space, well-appointed room, and a very good breakfast with fresh fruit (something often not available)!
Cons: Nothing to complain about. Jingles is a mile from the town centre - but it’s a pleasant-enough walk.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely B&B and spotlessly clean. Room had tea and coffee making facilities which is an added bonus always. We had to set off early but the staff were very kind in leaving the dining room open for us to use. We would love to visit the area a bit more and would not hesitate in returning to Jingles B&B.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very clean and welcoming guest house near to Emsworth. The breakfasts were excellent with quick efficient service. Coffee was good. A comfortable and light room.
Cons: The television was set very low volume. I would have appreciated 2 chairs. The bathroom was small but was OK but no room to put towels when they were very wet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room. Immaculately clean. Well lit building. Good parking. Friendly host. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Mattress a little too firm. Quite noisy when guests on stairs. A bit of a hike to nearest shop / pub.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good size room. Really good breakfast. Lots of parking spaces.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The bed wasn't too comfy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good, & location ideal for the purpose of our trip. The staff couldn't have been kinder after the disaster of the first night (nobody's fault - see later)
Cons: Very heavy rain on the first night caused water to come through the ceiling of our room (ground floor with a flat roof) and as the hotel was full there was nowhere else for us to go except the lounge. The leather Chesterfield sofas weren't very comfortable! However, as I said above, it wasn't anybody's fault, just an unfortunate coincidence. The next 2 nights we were accommodated alternatively in an upstairs room, which was not as good for me as I'm disabled and have problems with stairs,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, clean rooms and great breakfast.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good facilities. Excellent selection of breakfast options taken in a very nice breakfast room.
Cons: Smallish shower room with hand-wash sized sink
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice property in a lovely part of Portsmouth Great concept- making up a hotel using different properties
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good and the staff excellent.
Cons: The room was small being a reasonable sized bedroom but with a chunk taken out for the ensuite. Also difficult to get into the built in wardrobe. The area was noisy late at night. On site parking was inadequate for the size of the complex and local onstreet parking a nightmare if you missed out on a space.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff, well decorated, breakfast was great. Good location. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: My only little niggle was that I could hear the people upstairs moving around a lot, bit it wasn't awful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very clean, plus a comfortable bed.
Cons: No iron and a tiny, barely usable sink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved it there! Would definitely try there first when we're in Southsea again. Amazing breakfast. Tranquil setting, good sized room with lovely furnishings, excellent products in the bathroom, a choice of bath or shower
Cons: There really isn't anything we didn't like
7.9 Good
Pros: It was very nicely presented; quite homely and individual
Cons: The ensuite was tiny ambut we did book a basic double as just staying one night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Tastefully designed period building, nicely positioned and with outstanding staff.
Cons: Breakfast was ok but not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel (dry over cooked bacon, poor quality orange juice etc)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived after 8.00pm and had a genuine welcome. Our room was very homely, and comfortable. Loved the fact that the radiator in the bathroom was actually hot, and our towels were warm! Breakfast was awesome and served with a smile. Would not hesitate to recommend or return for a longer stay.
Cons: Didn't discover anything with a one night stay.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast wad nice. Very hot and came quickly once ordered.
Cons: The hotel room was tiny. Bathroom would not be suitable for a large person. It said on arrival to ask for an upgrade which we did but because we booked through a 3rd party ie booking.com it was not possible. Room was average at best. I do not think it was reasonably priced for that room. The rooms advertised look much bigger and better than the room we were given. Bed was soft and uncomfortable. Disappointing stay overall.
