Pros: The place was amazing, felt like home, very quiet and relaxing and the owners were very very helpful. They made great breakfast to start the day, the rooms were well equipped with everything we needed.
Pros: I would say that this rankes in the top 3 B & B's I have ever stayed at .
Cons: There was nothing I don't like.
Pros: Breakfasts were excellent. Hosts were delightful and very helpful in suggesting places to go and visit. In the the short time there we went to Martinique Beach [3 miles of firm sand], Taylors Head [hiking trails] and the wildlife park north of the airport.
Pros: Gorgeous, quiet lakefront setting, impeccably clean, delicious breakfasts, super hosts! Enjoyed relaxing in the Adirondack chairs and the gazebo looking out over the lake and listening to the birds.
Pros: Being soo welcomed by the hosts! And their breakfast was the best we had during our holiday. Take your time to enjoy the great way of starting your day. Very spacious room with connnected bathroom.
Cons: Nothing!!! It was all perfect!!!!
Pros: Carolyn and Onorio were amazing hosts. They made us feel so welcome.
Pros: The host Carolyn is fastidious, and produces a very clean and well serviced property. The apartment down below is well equipped to self cater, with a large refrigerator and plenty of basis provisions. The abutting lake provide mosts views and tranquility. The walks to the coastal shores are OK.
Cons: The property is relatively "remote" and there are no eateries locally, and the shopping centre is approx 15 kms away. There is espresso at the nearby Rose & Rooster Cafe though, with some nice lunch stuff, and friendly service.
Pros: Great hosts
Pros: Beautiful grounds right on the water. Wonderful breakfast with home baked muffins and tea biscuits. Treated like family. Would highly recommend.
Pros: We had a great (but unfortunately too short) stay at this B&B! Great location, with a wonderful view on a lake, just a few minutes away from the beach and from Halifax. Our guests were super nice, they upgraded us to the mini-apartment just because it was available! PS If you meet Onorio, make sure to ask him about his potato prize... :)
Located in Head of Jeddore, Salmon River Country Inn is by the ocean, within a 15-minute drive of Memory Lane Heritage Village and Admiral Lake Trail. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The Inn is a gem! The view from the deck of the Inn is stunning. The staff was friendly & attentive, Our dinner was delicious and so was our breakfast! We enjoyed talking with the owner, Margit.
Cons: The dinner there was great and the view from the patio was very cool.
Pros: Great location. Wonderful food. The owner fixed our breakfast an hour early so we could eat before we had to make an early start. Small rooms with twin beds but had all the needed comforts.
Pros: Beautiful decor. Nice view. Cozy thick towels. Grab bar in shower
Pros: Nice view.
Pros: Small but clean room and comfortable beds, very good restaurant!!! And the view from the bar terrace is stunning. Make sure you arrive there before the sunset ;) we also enjoyed a great country music live gig ( every friday i guess)
Pros: Hostess constantly went above and beyond expectations. Food--both the included breakfast and the restaurant--was superb! The curry-sweet potato-coconut soup and the mussels with a cheese topping were out of the world.
Cons: We couldn't have been happier. No concerns or complaints.
Pros: Good location with nice river view Room was quite spacious
Cons: There were some repairs to the roof being done - can't be helped, but it did impact the view and access to the rotunda
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic with most everything home made and delicious. Margit even brought it out early when we had to leave for the airport before normal breakfast time. She always went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable, and provided much you wouldn't expect at the usual B&B. Her restaurant also had wonderful food - the seafood chowder, schnitzel, and especially the black forest cake - again everything homemade. The bread with dinner was fabulous too! Only 1 hour from the airport! Close to a couple of nice beaches and the Memory Lane Museum which was fun.
Cons: Rainy weather!
Pros: I loved the setting by the river. Everyone friendly.
With a stay at Jeddore Lodge B&B in Head of Jeddore, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Memory Lane Heritage Village and Admiral Lake Trail. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Room ws spacious and well appointed with antiques. View of the Salmon River was a nice bonus to the room. Breakfast was delis ... French Toast to die for. Nice visit with a great host, Star. Definitely on our list to stay again when we are up that way.
Pros: The location was gorgeous! Located right next to the Salmon River and across the street from a lake or a cove (can't remember). So nice. The owner, Star, was very pleasant and a superb host. She seemed to be doing everything from check in and check out to breakfasts and dinners ( dinner and desserts available for purchase separately). Lovely dining room with views of water. We stayed in a room at the B and B. There are also a few cottages outdoors. I don`t know a lot about those. Would definitely stay again if passing through that way again. Thanks Star!!
Pros: Location, staff, room
Pros: Star & Brad are very friendly hosts. The B&B is situated on the water in a very picturesque location.
Cons: Bring mosquito repellent.
Pros: Nice location right on the coast. Small but comfortable room (with sofa bed out for use) with the most comfortable beds ever! Lovely breakfast and friendly and helpful owners. Also small tub pool if the weather had been better. Perfect location to explore the Eastern Shore.
Cons: We did not book an ensuite bathroom but it was not a problem as we had it to ourselves in any case. Nothing we didn't like about the property, except the foggy weather, otherwise just perfect!
Cons: Second floor
Pros: Clean, comfortable, friendly staff
Cons: Shared bathroom
Pros: Great dinner and breakfast.
Pros: Great hosts, very friendly check-in. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best breakfast we had in Canada during our 2 1/2 trip. Free canoe rental in the morning was very nice. Our very best regards from Germany.
Pros: First & most important to me was that the whole place was so spotless .. you could not see a bit of dirt anywhere on our tour through the place. It is a beautiful place with antique furniture which we loved and the view was beautiful as well. I thought that Star was very pleasant and helpful to us and very friendly as well
Cons: Everything was just fine
Located in Lake Charlotte, Webbers Lake Charlotte Motel is a 1-minute drive from Memory Lane Heritage Village and 5 minutes from Fisherman's Life Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Check in was super easy once we knew we had to call in to get the key and the room was very nice!
Cons: There was no hairdryer which made getting ready in the morning very difficult
Pros: Spotlessly clean, recently renovated with fresh paint, curtains, floors, beds etc. Big bottles of decent shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Small fridge in room, with tea, coffee and sugar. Picnic table and chairs immediately outside the room, and plenty of parking. After booking we received an email with the code to access the lock-box containing the keys to the room, so we never had to actually see anyone from the property during our stay. Property is set back from the road, so was very quiet.
Cons: There wasn’t a single window or fly screened door in room 5 that could be opened to allow ventilation to the room, so we had to have the air conditioner on the entire time. Some UHT milk to put in the coffee would have been appreciated.
Pros: Easy reservation & great key system. Cute motel with all the necessities.
Cons: One of our rooms had very little toilet paper & batteries were missing from remote in the other.
Pros: Great to be so near to Clam Harbour Beach and Debaies cove, where there is family to visit. The room had everything we needed for our short over night stay.
Pros: We rented the apartment. Was fabulous. Clean and spacious. Really pleased with our stay
Pros: Very clean and comfy. The shower was great as were the beds.Nothing really to complain about.Would definitely come back
Cons: Would have liked 2 suitcase benches for the 2 of us.Not a complaint just a suggestion
Pros: The assistant is very nice and helpful. The motel is easy to find on Hwy 7. The nearby beach is great. The motel is more or less located in the backyard of the Memorial Lane Heritage Village, a visit of which is worth while.
Cons: It is a motel room, you know, without a kitchen or other amenities. The bath was fully equipped.
Pros: It was clean
Cons: It was cold even with the plug in heater . The accommodation was expensive for the night . It was like a vintage type caravan with only the basics there and was in the middle of nowhere
