The staff room and breakfast were all very good The car parking was very limited
Nice quiet location within easy walk of the town. There wasn't a proper shower that you could stand under, just a shower attachment on the bath taps.
I liked everything: room well furnished and comfortable, breakfast generous and varied, city center 5 min. by feet Room was not soundproofed enough, hair dryer missing
We were met by Philippe who made us feel very welcome. He showed us to our room which was well laid out and perfect for a family. The location is superb, right beside the new ski lift and only a short stroll to the village - perfect. Although it was a perfect family room and newly decorated the lack of a proper shower was disappointing. In saying that I had a wonderful bath, something I haven't done in years.
fact I had booked a table for dinner with you & the restaurant had closed permanently last June. Therefore after a long journey we had to drive to another restaurant - not up to your usual standard with previous bookings I have had with you
I was really suprised by the room, I opted for the cheapest option of a double, and expected something along the lines of a premier Inn, as found here in the uk, but instead I found a room with real character, very spacious, and a fantastic view! Friendly staff also. Can't grumble at the location, takes 2 mins to walk to the centre of town, but I found the address didn't exist on google maps. Fortunately I emailed my query to the hotel staff, and got a prompt response, saying to head to the 3M Mercure, and from there you can see Hotel De La Nest just further down the 'nameless' road.
very clean hotel and pool, friendly and helpfull staff
Very helpful and friendly staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Simple hotel, nice atmosphere. Great breakfast. Nice pool and longe area. Would definately recommend.
Excellent position in heart of mountain village- so many activities on door step. Exceptional service. Originally booked 2 nights but extended to a week!
Just such a wonderful location. Spa is wonderful and a real treat. Restaurant was very good too. A really relaxing place and plenty a car parking on site.
Very friendly staff, comfortable room and a pleasant atmosphere. I have no complaints about the hotel
idealy situated usual high mercure standard best breakfast off our 2 week tour
'Country' feeling, by a river, with great view of mountains - but actually only 2 minutes from the town center with restaurants, casino, and thermal spas. Only caveat is that you have to want to go to the town in the first place - it is an out-of-the-way picturesque thermal spa and ski center village in the mountains.
Very clean, comfortable and well equipped, easy parking, close to town centre .Comfortable bed with good bedding and an interesting themed decor.Lovely garden and courtyard for sitting out Very friendly and helpful owner, very good value for the cost. Would happily stay here again. Everything was perfect, so no, nothing to mention.
The bed was comfortable and the bedding was very clean and well presented. The surroundings / views were good It advertised a restuarant - which was necessary as it is remote but the restuarant is closed on Mondays therefore we were unable to eat that day - the room had such a low ceiling I had to crawl into bed and the shower and toilet was cramped and not well maintained
The Hostellerie is charming, and the Lesponne valley is spectacular. Our room was in the main lodge, and was very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There were a few things that made it less than perfect, though. They keep horses and donkeys across the road from the lodge, and we had to keep our screen-less window open because of the heat, so we had lots of very annoying flies in the room all night long. We also were disturbed to see the young woman handling the horses and mules repeatedly hitting them -- hard and angrily -- and yelling at them. I work with horses and know this is bad human behaviour. It gave us a sour feeling about the place. The Hostellerie is a family place, so there are kids running around, yelling, screaming, doing kid things that, if you're there for a romantic get-away, would be disturbing, as well.
self catering facilities and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly propretier. a bit too relaxed with hotel staff, so wasn't always easy to get information. Sadly a lot of the facilities were shut over xmas period.
Hotel was clean and comfortable within walking distance of good restaurants. Very good location for sightseeing Hotel was clean but a bit clinical. Breakfast was extremely poor
Very welcoming staff. Proximity to town. Atmosphere a little institutional rather than luxury spa.
Quirky furnishing in the rooms, useful sink / cooker unit for self catering. Excellent location for Aquensis Spa and the casino - a few minutes walk away. A few restuarants within easy walking distance into town. Main focus of the place seems to be semi-medical, with emphasis on physio and alternative medicine treatments in the adjacent Thermal baths. Very friendly but distinctly quirky. Little English spoken.
Cooking facilities in room meant you could eat in if you wanted and could always prepare breakfasts.
Upgrade to an efficiency unit rather than a guest room. Location above the bustle of the city. Thermal baths, spa,etc that we did not use but were available. Staff not present at check in time , Had a wait a rather long time to check-in. Staff spoke only French and no English.
Staff helpfulness Supposed to be 3 star, but really only just 2 star.
Price; staff friendly Hotel fittings are dated late 1960's; bed low and foam mattress and bedding very poor; no shower curtain or hook for hand spray; plumbing noisy in the morning time but mosts guests go to bed early.
Range of activities and treatrment available and warm indoor pool. Best to ask for nice view as front is better than rear. Quiet situation. Would have liked to stay longer. Shower cubicle would have been preferable to a curtain.
Close to venue of family wedding I am sure the hotel was ok in the 70's but it clearly has not changed since rooms old, musty and with stained carpets no cold water in taps. Breakfast rubbish for the price but as we had no choice!! Being charged local taxes was also a shock! Although your price appeared ok when first viewed it was exactly the same as the hotel price and this was at least twice as much as it should have been
The tranquility of the location The restaurant being a buffet with boring food. Wonderful food around the corner
A very good place to relax after a hard days walking
On paper this should have been a good hotel. Booked hotel for piscine, wifi and restaurant. Pool was closed, restaurant was full and wifi did not work properly. Most important _ when I spoke to the manager, he was not interested and instead told me all about his problems. I will not stay there again.
Friendly staff. Clean accommodation. Close to amenities and easy to find and access
Excellent location near St Lary Soulan and central for several other ski resorts.
