Hotel was clean and tidy. Also had good character.
i only liked the view there 1. when i first arrived no one check me in. 2. i wanted the check out befor my departure date and they did not agree to setle and wanted me to pay the full amount. 3. they do not clear my apartment unless i tell them so and if i was not in it they just tidy the beds an go. 4. they came to the appartment and tok all my empty water bottels without telling me. they told me that the internet cost 3 euro per day and then they charged 10 euros. they told me when i ask for a washing machine that it is ok to use theres and when i put 2 load they told me it is 15 euros per wash.the owner told me to change my departure date so that booking.com wont take chargers for my full stay. the rooms are too small. there are no window shutter and it is noisy.
very nice staff, lovely rooms
Friendlyness Parking your car is a nightmare
Fantastic atmosphere - a real pearl of a hotel
Nice hotel, especially the inner courtyard is very peaceful and a blessing on hot and humid summer days (coupled with the lack of A/C in the rooms). They say it has been renovated 2007 and you can definitely see that! The fact that the staff includes one French and one Italian waiter sure increases your chances to communicate (they also speak English). Very nice staff. The hotel is rather far away (>40 min walking, trams get you there rather fast, though) from the historical city center. But it is somewhat close to the Cancer Center and that's what mattered for me. There's not much variety in the breakfast menu (without being too scarce, either), but I understand that for a small hotel it's hard to have too much of an offer (and just a handfull of customers).
Small friendly family operated
Restaurant is really good. Apartment is huge, lies in a very quiet part of Heidelberg. Very friendly staff Rooms needs to be updated. Bathroom is outdated, and does not function properly. Price is too high
The restaurant is good. Hotel is oriented towards local German travellers. Staff spoke very little English. Not much guidance available for planning city trip.
staff were very friendly, the bed was very comfortable, you can really relax after a hard walking day, from the street you cant hear anything From my point of view was a little far from downtown
New/Remodeled hotel, very clean and comfortable, great staff, good value for the price. Somewhat hard to find.
opportunity to use a kitchen within the room
The hotel is in a very cute neighborhood - unfortunately, parking is a little complicated there. We were welcomed by the woman on shift and checked in well before our check-in time with no problems. She let us leave our car in the tiny lot while we went out on the town. The room was very clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the shower head bracket on the adjustable-height rod wouldn't actually stay in place and slid down to the lowest position. I informed the woman that checked us out and she seemed genuinely interested in getting it repaired. The breakfast was good and fresh.
The staff is very friendly, location is quiet and convenient
The staff was wonderful - very kind and helpful. Since I was on my own with a 21 mo old child for part of the trip the kindness of the staff made a huge difference. The room was huge - perfect for our toddler to have a chance to play at the end of the day. The kitchen was also a great convenience. The breakfast was good - simple and good quality products every day. The design of the hotel was beautiful - very elegant, clean modern lines. Something that was pleasing to us as young family. When we return to Heidelberg I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. The tram ride into the city was even fun and easy! The kitchenette did not have any cooking supplies....no pots, pans, plates, forks spoons, etc. We bought out own at a local grocery store so it was not a big deal but it certainly would have been nice.
very nice hotel,in a green surroundings, clean room,wi-fi included in the price.
It was bare minimum. Lack of lights, TV very difficult, wires hanging everywhere
The Hotel room was spacious for two, the complimentary bottles of water in the room was a nice touch, and the buffet breakfast was delicious.
Rooms were large and clean We had to 'Shlep' luggage to third floor - no lift. small parking lot was full and we had to look for parking on the neighborhood. breakfast was minimalistic
Spacious rooms, clean and well designed. Construction nearby and no hotel parking- a little distant from the river.
Charming room with very good sound proofing. Despite being on a busy road, with the blinds and windows closed we couldn't hear a thing! It was a little further away from things than we expected, but for four of us it cost the same to get a taxi to the train station as it would have to get public transport.
The staff were helpful but do not normally help with suitcases You could easily issue a location map, it was difficult to find and to park. Our bedroom looked out onto some dismal roofs; the balcony was for smokers, the ash tray, cigs all over roof needs to be cleaned. For its facilities it is expensive.
the service , the staff , the location and breakfast Parking challenge afternoon, bed mattress were too soft [ got up in the morning with back pain ] , going up the stairs [ no elevator] with heavy suitcase is not comfortable . the room is missing a desk and chairs .
Staff were very helpful, breakfast was lovely. The location is just a 10 minute tram stop for the Heidelberg. The hotel has maps and info for help! Size of room was very good. Our room was a tripple room and an extention above a garage. On first glance i wondered if it would be ok. But it was clean and comfortable and exciting for the kids climbing the ladder!
The staff were very efficient and freindly, we had a very spacious and comfortable room and were allowed to park in the private hotel parking area. The hotel is very easy to reach from the motorway and very convenient for visiting the touristic sites of Heidelberg beingshort tram ride away.
The Tower Room was lovely and having a real double bed in Germany is a rarity.
The Staff was courteous and accomodating to english speaking quests. The breakfast(included) excellent-the food was fresh. We would stay again. It's location is 3km from the old city but the hotel only 1/2 block (a 12 miniute ride) from the tram stop. The tram costs about 2 euro each way per person parking is on the street but it is not easy finding place close to the hotel
Location and ease of transport
The silence. The bedroom curtains didn't cover the hole door so we had to stay with the lights off or with the wardrobe open to get some privace. Althought I asked for a non-smoking room, the place reserved for the smokers was in front of my door, which mean I smelled all the smokes. There was no elevator and the place my bedroom was located was acroos the parking area, no covering. I had to cross the hole parking lot to have breakfast. Finaly, the breakfast was very limited. Internet was not for free either. And the hotel was really far from the city, absolutely not 2 km from the main station as sugested for the map.
Location and the front desk people were friendly and helpful The pillows were way to soft, could have used 2 instead of 1
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice view of surroundings. Excellent location. Nice sized room for our family. Room not properly cleaned, although we arrived early which may have impacted room cleaning plans. I noticed: toe clippings on floor, stain on sheets, and we had insect bites the next day.. perhaps from the bedding? Upper floor smelled of sweat and body odor.
Clean, convenient, quiet. A bit out of the main town center, but the village-center around the corner has a pleasant old-town atmosphere and good old-style restaurants with excellent price/quality.
Nice breakfast No credit card accepted....
The breakfast buffet was good. We were given a 3-room ,even though we were just two. The staff is friendly.
Good location: not in city centre, but city easy to reach by tram in front of the door. Veer clean.
Parking 4 euros extra. Tram to downtown 2.2 euros/person. Coins only at that tram stop.
Simple, yet good breakfast. One staff member was extremely rude and the beds were very uncomfortable.
The room was very clean, and the breakfast was quite good.
