Very efficient and friendly staff. Excellent location. Wonderfull view from the room. Very good food and service in the restaurant. Private beach. The air condition in the room smelled sometimes.
Right on the beach. Gorgeous and clean beach. Airconditioning very powerful.
Closeness to the beach, family hotel feeling, not too big, it was situated in a small and cosy village not to big.
location & staff not really
Clean room Personnel, poor food et price
Clean rooms The noise in the first floor room owing to the lively restaurant below was not acceptable so we requested to change rooms which to the credit of the hotel was carried out without fuss. The price for breakfast and the fact that the owner charged us an additional €3 for an additional cup of coffee did not leave us with an overall an favourable impression.
Location, convenient to St Tropez and beaches (20 mins drive) Limited facilities, Internet not working, very small rooms for twin use.
Quirky thirties building with nice design updates Sited, in effect, on a roundabout, so incedibly noisy unless all the windows and shutters are closed when the double glazing works. Price v high for what you got -- but location (near St Tropez) probably the cause.
Very clean and visually well designed, polite and efficient staff No shelf in bathroom. Shower splashed over floor. Breakfast expensive.
The staff was very friendly. A very dog friendly hotel, our Jack Russell really enjoyed his stay. Room was clean and comfortable, extreamly good for the price. The hotel restaurant was excellent with several other good restaurants near by. A great location close to many interesting sites. We will return, we hope, many times.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has lots of character and the views are spectacular. The pool has no shallow end and it was very difficult to swim with young children.
The breakfast at the pool (although you have to pay extra). The pool (but only for good swimmers as more than 2 m deep at all parts). The facade of the main building. Location (close to la Croix Valmer and St Tropez peninsula). Our stay at this hotel was not pleasant at all. The room was tiny, dark, outdated and motballed in a side house to the chateau. It was impossible to sleep on the double bed (which were two single matresses put together) by both of us, because the matresses had a big depression in the middle (because of never being replaced?). We had three sleepless nights, and hated going back to our room everyday to sleep. Be warned: if you book the last room available, you will probably end up in the same dreadful room we were. In any case, hugely overpriced and barely a 2 star for the quality we received. One of the staff was also very rude and scolded us for being dirty (funny, as we spent the first 10 minutes in the room cleaning a dirty toilet bowl)
A charming hotel with a beautiful view. Hotel staff very friendly.
The rate booked with bookings.com for 2 double rooms was139e and the rate the hotel insisted on charging despite seeing my paperwork was 169e. this is wrong and I would like bookings.com to speak to hotel and reimburse.
i like to have breakfast in a nice spot close to the pool ilike the view from our bedroom balcony not very transparent about the rate i little bit abandoned as service
Beautiful views from our windows. Lovely room and bathroom. Great pool. Great location. Very individual. Their restaurant was not good. But the breakfast was fine.
Good breakfast, pleasant pool, clean pleasant comfortable room Dinning room lacked ambiance
Excellent staff. The word "No" never came out of their mouths. No internet
Our stay at the hotel was excellent, staff very helpful and the seclusion and setting of the hotel was better than expected. Definitley going back there ub 2011.....
The building is impressive, if a little ghostly, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Laughably understaffed ....a Hotel New Hampshire feel about it in fact and having to wait 3 hours to get into my room after arriving at 2pm was not acceptable....again the result of insufficient cleaning staff. Repeated requests to hurry up the process were politely but annoyingly ignored...not good enough. It is also a fair way from St Tropez and be warned that taxis are few and far between and eye-wateringly expensive.
The tranquility was a really asset to this hotel, as well as the sea view. Staff was very friendly. Our room still contained dog hair! Building is a little outdated.
Rooms, good breakfeast buffet
very helpful staff. lovely setting, beautiful building the mezanine rooms were a little cramped on the first floor for adults, would have been fine for children
We loved this small pretty hotel, the sevice was excellent, the rooms where a good size and perfect to laze around by the pool. Not the easiest hotel to find on the sat nav.
calme and discreet
It was a really nice one week for honeymoon. A bit expensive, but the athmosphere was perfec, the staff was helpful, the pool was cool!
This hotel is a fair deal: not a rip-off, not a bargain. Rooms and lobbies have been lightly renovated, but the hotel didn't undergo a complete refurbishment as it's supposed (eg: room cabinets are small and old-fashioned, the lift is, the same, old-fashioned). Rooms are smaller than descriptions, while the toilets are extremely small. Some problems with bathroom goods (soap, paper) not being properly refilled. Breakfast, while being pretty expensive for French standards, is quite disappointing for food selection, quality and quantity.
Very nice location. Great garden and sea view. For this rate we would book it again!
Breakfast on a sunny terrace and tranquil atmossphere
The friendly staff; the excellent location and view; the free parking lot The facilities were very basic
Good value for money, clean and calm Would have been nicer it it had been a bit closer to restaurants
Lovely garden Weird staircase to room. Long way from nearest restaurant in evening. Opinions coloured by heaviest rain in decades.
Excellent in all respects.....just very slightly old fashioned which only enhanced the charm.....can just imagine upper-class English grockles visiting in the 1920's (when it was built).....and Agatha Christie sitting on the terrace!!!......Perfect situation & perfect service.
Kindness of the hotelkeeper The rooms are inadequately soundproofed
Staff were very attentive and helpful. Large room with excellent air conditioning
The hospitality, the atmospere and the view was fantastic! None
Quaint and old with nice gardens and a view to the sea in the distance. Good location for motoring around the Hyeres-Saint Tropez area and within walking distance of a small shopping area for basics.
The owners of the hotel were very welcoming and did everything to make our stay enjoyable.
It's a family run hotel. They are very nice folks, helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable without being luxurious. The value for money is very good for the area. If you don't have a car you must be prepared to walk (it's at 30 min walking distance from the nearby Cavalaire sur Mer village) and room isolation is quite poor (you hear whatever is happening in the neighboring rooms!)
good service very polite staff
Good location near nice beach, no main road between hotel and beach, room was clean, private parking in the shade. Small room, rooms can have view on the main road, staff not very helpful, garden next to the main road.
Hotel exudes the charms of South of France. Location good close to a beautiful village. Management team very helpful. Not easy to walk out in evening as road was too busy. Also needs a choice of 2 dishes on fixed menu for half-board.
The pool area was great and clean, breakfast good, easy parking Could only buy a bottle of wine at dinner which was expensive, could not buy just a glass of wine. No selection of meal options
Setting of premises Location. No alternative bars, as hotel one closed around 21:30 !
We thought the location off road and the tranquillity were excellent and enjoyed that enormously. The fact that we could enjoy the place without being interrupted fit to our lifestyle and we think the place is very good value for the money. We would have liked if there were a coffee machine next the automat for cold drinks. In our case we could have liked a fridge in the rooms. In the garden in front of the entrance, there could have been more tables and chairs in the shadow.
This is a good budget hotel. the position is good and the staff very nice and helpful. we had a good stay here, A little tired, particularly in the gardens.
Rooms with balcony and sea view offer fabulous views across the bay and are well worth while and recommended! A bit impersonal.
The price The bedroom was not cleaned before we checked in. The toilet and shower had hair all over the place. The pillow case and sheets had blood stains (!!) and towels were dirty! The room had no protection (screen etc) against insects. We were bitten by mosquitos every night and had to sleep with the windows closed to prevent them from entering. No air in the room with the windows closed and no fan!!
Notthing. Really dirty and so small room, really dirty bath, lots of hair in the shower and bath floor was disgusting. the bed was really unconfortable and the white shift looks yellow!! We reserved a see view room but it wasn't!
Excellent location, two minutes walk from hub of cafe bars then a further minute to a sandy beech . Shallow water for a while good for those with children. Host spoke good English and we were allowed use of the underground parking. Room itself was fairly small but had en suit and aircon plus daylight shutters . Overall an excellent stay.
Clean. Close to town. We were not given the room that we had booked and therefore had a poor view with no terrace or sea view. Pillows were uncomfortable.
The owner of the hotel is friendly and has great French humour. Clean, showers pretty good, ok bed, French TV, basic balcony with nice view. The hotel is cheap all the way up to July whereas many other local hotels bump up the price in May. Our room was basic and had obviously recently been painted because of the smell. Not delux hotel to hang out and relax in, but good as a base-camp for the lovely beaches not so far away.
It was Quiet and still very close to the centre of town and the beach
Very relaxed, room was very comfortable, easy access (by car) to port area
Great beach.....pool and food!
the staff was very nice; the kitchen was excellent and the room and the view were fantastuc The internet did not functiond well
Beautiful views, very friendly staff, good facilities. Beds were very uncomfortable
The view was phenomenal, the beach private and relaxing. Location was private, tucked away, yet not too far from larger cities.
Absolutely amazing view from the room balcony, very pleasant and comfortable room . Hotel beach is rather small and it was a very big problem to get the place (sun lounger with umbrella) as we were at the Hotel in August when the place was overcrowded. The system is that you need to reserve the place in advance and when you come to the beach there are a lot of empty loungers but you cannot use them as they are reserved by somebody else. But if you pay to beach boy you may solve the problem...
Location, location, location. Simply stunning. Prices and choices in restaurant. Not helped I guess though by current rates of exchange.
Something unusual was thar as far as I could tell, allthe staff were French (?!) The bouillabesse in the restaurant.Expensive and not very good.
We really liked the location and the facilities of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints.
The view. The room was also fairly large and at a decent standard. Small pool and solarium, private beach small and not cleaned up, poor facilities in relation to the hotel class - cheap schampoo, no conditioner, except BBC World and CNN no international cable channels, no mpay per view option, no possibility to borrow/rent dvd player.
Close to a great beach, and plenty of excellent restaurants. Staff made it very pleasant, and English speaking staff was excellent. They were very helpful. The reception area had a great ambience and excellent views of the plaza below and Mediterrean right across the plaza. Had to park on the street near the hotel. Made me a bit nervous, but had no problems finding a parking spot and leaving the car for 2 days. Hotel is on a plaza, so is land-locked. You can pull into the plaza with a remote you can pick up at the front desk. This made it easier. Entrance was below reception. There was no lift until you were at the reception level, however I had help with getting my baggage into the hotel.
located right on the promenarde with godd restraunts nearby.
The owners of this hotel were so accomodating and pleasant. They went to great lengths to take care of their guests and keep their hotel in great condition. Excellent location along the coast and the rooms are comfortable and a good size. Breakfast at the hotel was worth the cost. This sea town is one of the nicest along the coast. The nearby village town of Bormes-les-Mirmosas is a must to visit.
The hotel was in a very good location. The owners were polite and helpful. We thought that it was a shame that the owners were not available after 10pm, so new visitors who arrived after that time were given a code to enter side door and so were not greeted on arrival. Room keys were left on table near side door. This did not apply to us as we arrived in afternoon. Also we felt that the bar should be open in evening so after eaing out, it would be a good thing to be able to have a coffee or nightcap before retiring.
The location of the hotel was excellent as it was right in the centre of Le Lavandou. The owners of the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice, although when we ordered coffee late in the evening they did not charge us for it.
Close to the beach and in the middle of the resort, helpful manager. no parking.
close to beach room no 9, view to a backyard
Terrific staff and wonderrful facilities. Right across from the beach and next to the town hall. Easy to get to everything in town and along the beach. No
Fantastic stay. Close to beach and plenty of restaurants to choice from. Close to other major cities and towns. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pleasant stay.
It is well placed in Le Lavandou, convenient for beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. Pleasant to sit and watch the world go by with an Earl Grey. Being disabled, the flight of stairs to the reception (which is where the lift starts from) was somewhat daunting. Parking for the car was difficult and meant a long walk (for a disabled person). The shower room was verging on dangerous. A serious fall in there and the door could not be opened from the outside, it would have to be removed from the hinges.
Breakfast is too expensive, the hotel is expensive too. Small rooms with spider webs in the corners, quite loud due to the road.
The owner/operators were very courteous and helpful and tried in evey way to make our stay comfortable. She even brought me coffee out on the patio in the morning. Hallway carpets need replacing.
I liked the proximity to the beach. It was easy to walk from the hotel to nearby restaurants and several different beach spots. We did not like the staff. The woman at the front was fairly nice, but anytime she asked us if we needed anything, and we told her, her answer was no. They also didnt tell us breakfast wasnt included and urged us to come have breakfast, only to learn it was 14 euros. Her husband is a grouchy old man and not friendly at all. For the price, we did not find this to be a good value. Also, it's not located in Lavandou as indicated by the website, it's in Aguibelle.
Choice of rooms given. Very clean room with bath and balcony. Lady owner/manager always around and aware of comings and goings. Very friendly but gave us the feeling of being observed! Afairly minor point.
Brand new hotel with very nice staff. The upper seaside rooms (we were upgraded to the third floor) have a beautiful terrasse with view over the harbour and the sea, perfect to take the breakfast there! The hotel is 10 walking minutes away from the Saint Clair beach. We really loved this place. Lies next to the harbour, where there are several cafe's and disco's. So music may be loud late in the evening.
only the view from bedroom window Old and uncomforable. stairs very dangerous, especially for my daughter who has severe mobility problems. Her room smelled musty and stale. Unworthy of being called "en suite room" Because of these problems we only stayed one night but were charged for two
The situation was excellent, situated overlooking the marina and the beach. Dozens of places to eat within a stones throw of the hotel. Little to dislike particularly. Some facilities to make tea in the room would be good. Paying for the space in the car park is essential. One night, there was no hot water.
The window in front of the sea, a private low cost ( 2 euros /day) parking, the beach close to the hotel, very quiet and fresh nights also with the window closed, very kind people in the reception. I would allocate more space in the rear court to dry sea towels and swimsuits
Near the center.Cleaning.Parking car for all day x E.2,00 (but you need to book it in advance). Very small double room (my was superior at the 1st floor with hill view).SMALL Double bed and bathroom (like a small camper).NO Balcony and refrigerator on the room. no lift and very small stairs..
Qualtiy of service and excellent location Parking a bit restricted in the area
Lovely hotel siuated by the port, and brekfast on the terrrace
Good location close to the beach..Flexable with check-in time as were arrive very late Original booking could not be accomidated by hotel so we booked another of their cheaper rooms.they did not advise of no air condition in room & on checking out they tried to charge eur400 and not eur340 as advertised.
Location is excellent.
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely view of harbour from terrace, very central for beaches and restaurants
Very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean room, great view over harbour, good local parking.
