A Grade II-listed farmhouse from the 18th century, BuitenOosten is surrounded by a garden and fields with cows and horses. It overlooks Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park, a 3-minute drive away. With views of the garden or fields, each room has a chandelier, wooden floor and ceiling. All have a seating area, and one includes a typical Dutch cupboard bed. The shared bathrooms are in the old stable and one contains a free-standing bath. Previously the servants’ bedroom, the breakfast room has garden views. The communal kitchen provides a fridge-freezer, stove and microwave for self catering, and barbecue facilities are available. Within a 2-minute drive there is a supermarket and a few restaurants. Offering free Wi-Fi, BuitenOosten B&B has a TV room with various games. Bicycles can be rented and there are lots of walking and cycling routes in the surrounding area. Within a 30-minute drive of Deventer, Zwolle and Almelo, the B&B has free on-site parking.
