Cons: I liked everything. It was perfect

Cons: Property could do with a makeover
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Easy access with lovely downstairs rooms for elderly mother. Food was delicious. Stunning views.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property, spectacular views, big room, superb shower. All good, exceeded only by staff — who always make or break a stay — who could not have been more helpful.
6.8 Good
Pros: Clean hotel with pleasant staff.
Cons: Priced too high for facilities breakfast was extra and should have been included for the rate charged.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great views.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was very comfortable with a very efficient fan to cool the room. It has been renovated to a very high standard. Pretty terrace and garden. Our welcome was very warm. Good pub food.
Cons: Nothing! We have no complaints whatsoever!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room comfortable bed well set up
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast was nice with friendly staff, but come evening you are treated as second class.
Cons: I don't know what hotels the other reviewers have experienced, maybe one star, or they were so drunk they did not notice. Very noisy until 11:00 but this should be expected for a pub inn. THIS IS NO PLACE WHERE YOU CAN RELAX..Parking was full on my return from a 12 hour hike staff were unhelpful, they expected me to wait until non guests finish up, this took 20mins of waiting for them to move their vehicle from the resident car park. No apology from the staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were excellent. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Location very convenient for our purposes. The room was kept in excellent order on a daily basis.
Cons: Our room (no. 7) was very 'crowded' and was not large enough for two single beds. It was almost impossible to move the chair from under the inaccessible desk. The bathroom needed some shelves. The sole, very small sash window was located at floor level and as the only source of daylight and ventilation, was near useless. (The noise level from the bar entry directly below ensured that you were very reluctant to open the window.) When the window was open any small child could easily fall to their death.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, good excellent, staff were very welcoming and friendly
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff.
Cons: The weather was hot which meant the room was rather warm even with the fan that was provided.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent. A fillet steak cooked to perfection in a village inn was unexpected but really welcome. Breakfast just as good. The staff - every one of them - were so friendly and helpful.
Cons: A little noise since our room was above the kitchen. The hot water was only just warm for morning shower.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, staff and food
Cons: The noise, the fire doors seemed to be broken and were banged every time someone went through them. These need fixing and made to soft close - otherwise we wont be going back. Also Room 2 very hot with no ventilation - a fan would have sorted this out somewhat.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, clean, nicely decorated! Food was excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow what a lovely setting, friendly, clean, excellent food, the room, nice fluffy towels, shower was lovely, bar, grounds are all kept lovely. The staff are happy, welcoming and nothing to much for them to ensure your stay is perfect. The seating outside is pleasant, clean and comfortable in fact I cannot find fault in this little "gem" of a hotel.
Cons: It could be mentioned that no food is available on a Sunday night when booking.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: very friendly owner. Private entrance to my room. Although bathroom was shared with other guests, no one else was staying, so had private use.
Cons: a bit difficult to find in the dark on a narrow steep road. Parking a bit of a challenge in the dark with a large car - but parked with no bruises

Pros: The view was amazing and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: I would have liked somewhere to make meals and a kitchen
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean & comfy room with tea & coffee included.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Awesome view and garden. Quite place. Lyndon is a super friendly host!
Cons: Too soft bed and heavy duvet. Felt a bit damp.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy. Room clean with breath taking view. Lyndon the proprietor was friendly and helpful. The local bars are not far away to eat and drink.
Cons: The shared bathroom had some sort of water pressure compressor which give a loud noise after flushing the toilet. I think probably this is not easy to rectify.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: It would of been better if there was a ensuite instead of a shared bathroom /toilet
6.8 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy and the room spotless. Breakfast was smashing and the staff and locals made us feel very welcome. We'll definately stay at the Lord Nelson again if we find ourselves in the area.
Cons: Nothing - it was ideal for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: They were really kind and even made us dinner although the kitchen was officially closed. Perfect sightseeing recommendations.
Cons: There is a green safety light in the room which was a little disturbing at night. Didn't keep us from sleeping.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked a nice, clean room and good quality breakfast all for a reasonable price. We felt welcome, the staff were polite and very helpful. The location is great for visiting a nearby national park.
Cons: The only thing was an emergency light placed directly oposite our bed which made it very hard to sleep as it was quite strong and on nonstop during the night. It might help to place the bed in a different part of the room instead.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Staff was brilliant. Room was ideal with tea, coffee and ckean towels in the room daily.
Cons: Only has parking for a few cars
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were lovely and comfortable

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received a very warm welcome, room was bright fresh and very clean. Nice fluffy towels in the shower room and a brand new TV. Very good value for money, would certainyl stay here again. Sadly we only tried breakfast, everyone was very firendly and accommodating.

Cons: Bit hard to find.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable spacious room. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Shower wasn't very. powerful the decor in the bar area was tired and not very inviting. The owner was lovely but when I arrived I felt very conspicuous walking through the bar being watched by the locals I was on my own so felt a bit uncomfortable. I didn't feel able to go down to the bar in the evening.

Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable
Cons: As a wedding guest the service was terrible, the food was really poor. The venue has been refurbished and is lovely but the quality of the food and service of the staff was disappointing. . Wedding packages are expensive and I felt sorry for the family who had spent so much for their special day.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and airy , breakfast was exceptional, nice to have it bought to you
Cons: The four poster bed . Would rather had a normal bed as we were only stopping the one night didn’t ask to be moved. We had our windows open due to the warm weather , and it became obvious that every other resident stopping there choose this spot to enjoy their last cigarette , as we don’t smoke the smell wafting though the window was quite overpowering, and again had we been their for a longer time we would have asked to move .

7.0 Good
Pros: Central location
Cons: There was a very loud children’s party from 6.00 to 8.00pm right below our bedroom. So loud the furniture was vibrating. The manager reduced the price by 50% but we really wanted to be staying somewhere that was peaceful. We had chosen the hotel because it was on the Celtic Cycling Trail and were tired when we arrived and didn’t want to be blasted by noise. The room was also very hot and the bathroom grout needed attention.

Came down for a wedding so it was a late night and had to be up and out for 10.00 which is too early. Asked for extension to stay until 12 but wanted to charge us extra.
10.0 Excellent

It was spacious, spotlessly clean, and with a nice en-suite bathroom with a large, modern walk-in shower. Breakfast is not provided. You could tell that the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into these rooms.
