Good food and hospitality. None
A very nice hotel in a quiet and undisturbed part of the Ardennes. Easy access to a multitude of forested walking routes. The view from the breakfast/dining room and terrace, overlooking the river in the bottom of the valley, was very much like a post card. Very friendly staff.
On arrival we were immediately embraced with the warmest of welcomes by Richard. The room was delightful, comfortable with beautiful views and a modern bathroom. The common areas were cosy and relaxing again with beautiful views. Good wines and well chosen music completed the ambience. The half board here provides outstanding meals designed and cooked to perfection by Eddie then served with humour and good grace by Steve. Thanks to all three wonderful hosts. We can't wait to come back and stay longer!
Outstanding hospitality in the heart of the Semois Valley. Splendid views from both the room and the terrace in front of the hotel. Quality food. We will be back.
The hotel is located in the center of the village with a nice neighbourhood. A beautiful garden next to a small river. The restaurant is outstanding No complains at all.
restful: as well surroundings hotel, as music during the meals, cosy garden and rooms (large bed),
Nice room which was spotlessly clean, pretty village located well for sightseeing the Valle de la Semois Cost of restaurant was very high and service was very slow although the food was excellent.
Quiet place, nice staff, doing the best they can No (forced) ventilation in bathroom, no airco? We could not sleep well. Maybe other rooms (with 2 separate beds!!) are better. So, I advise for all the rooms separate quality beds and forced ventilation! If possible airco.
The food at this hotel was terrific! I had the best best trout ever; it must have been marinaded in beer from L'Abbaye Orval.
