Comparable to many Paradors - beautifully restored with a very authentic feel. Within short walk of all historic sites. First class spacious room - all room facilities very good quality. Nothing
Lovely Hotel situated just 5 minutes walk from the picturesque old town centre. Our room was spacious and well equipped.
Spacious and comfortable room, good bed linen and towels. Great location. Parking could be difficult but we found a space outside the hotel quite easily - this may not be the case in high season.
I thought your website presented a normal 4 star hotel. It misrepresented all but one or two rooms. I exècted a room with sitting area since your clerk on check in said all the rooms were the same. they are not as each room seems to be different and most rooms are small, without windows and substandard for a 4 star accommodation. The public areas were nice but the chairs in your main cloister uncomfortable and the music that was played while pleasant, always loud. So to say what I liked best is difficult as my expectations were not met and so it was a disappointment overall. The room we occupied ended up being the best of what we saw and luckilyl had a window. Our friend who travelled with us found no window a trial. The misrepresentation on your website was very very disappointing to find when we arrived. If you were more honest it would be better for your clients.
Wonderful location in the center of a magnificent old city. Great hotel for the money built out of a beautiful historical old convent. Staff very cordial and helpful.Wonderful experience; we would have loved to stay longer ! All of the above.
rooms are fantastic I think the hotel corridors and walls need to be refurbished
I don´t like the antique style i prefer modern hotels
The best hotel we stayed at the whole time in Spain. The room was beautiful, hotel easy to find, food adequate, bed was a little hard but the first room that had one large bed for my husband rather than two singles pushed together. We actually slept under the same blankets for the first time in 8 nights in Spain.
close to the centre, but easy to reach the garage entrance is very difficult and i do not understand why to pay for the garage if I could park also outside
Very nice "boutique" hotel in a very good location, within walking distance of the sites to visit in Trujillo. it was very good value for money We loved everything
Excellent location.Spacious room & bathroom.Excellent kitchen.
Room Staff surly at reception
Perfect situation, easy to find and to walk into the old town. Comfortable room with good facilities. Excellent restaurant and breakfats room.
excellent central location slow service in restaurant -too many people for 3 staff to cope with
A large room (with a small window, wich ade it a bit dark) with a beautiful view on the castillo Although the westher was finne, thy fdid not set up the chairs in die patio, peolpe felt a bit lost durign daytime
most pleasant surprise, friendly, sophisticated , pleasant nice to stay
Excellent hotel and so convenient for seeing this beautiful town. We didn't sample the restaurant but the breakfast served in the old chapel was top class.
Close to city center, although through back streets. Room was a bit basic.
up the hill from the plaza but worth it
A bit of luxury.
The location and situation were very central and an excellent standard. The Parador is situated in an historic building which we try to book always. We have visited Cuenca, Caceres, Merida, Zamora, Santillana all of which were of the same excellent standard. I was disappointed with my particular choice of menu in the restaurant. I cannot comment on other items on the menu although in general terms, I would not stay at a Parador based on the restaurant.
Trujillo is a beautiful small town, a real hidden gem. The hostal was tucked away just 50 metres from the main square. We would really recommend this hostal to everyone. It was clean, good sized rooms and everyone was extremely friendly. There was an excellent restaurant which was very popular with the locals of Trujillo. We will defintely be staying here again.
Central location, free Internet access through Wi-Fi.
A very comfortable stay in the heart of a beautifil small town of Trujillo. The WiFi internet (which was promised) was not available...
Central Location; Friendly Wireless Internet not working
All of it. Nice restaurant with good food and a very charming bar. No. We had a perfect stay at your hotel
Hassle-free stay in clean, adequately furnished room with air conditioning (invaluable), pleasantly close to old plaza mayor. Room is described as double, but in fact is twin.
I stayed very short time but the person in charge treated me very very well. All was clean and there was air conditioning and tv. Pity I did not have time to eat something, the place looked wonderful for a meal.
Friendly staff made for a very welcome stay, and the hotel was spotlessly clean, and very centrally located for the old historic quarter
Beautiful old castle well decorated and comfortable. Very well managed. Room was excellent - private bath and private sitting room. Free internet but wifi was only available in one of the common areas. Breakfast was included - it was a bit limited, but the fresh squeezed orange juice was good!
Close to city centre and main restaurants. The staff do not speak English so basic communication is a problem. Also, tourist information in English would be helpful.
good location in the center of Trujillo , charming & helpful staff, good parking.
Location - very close to central plaza. Clean, sober decoration, in line with the town's historical roots. No hair dryer.
Excellent, very friendly and helpful staff; family-freindly atmosphere (e.g. in some rooms they have double extra beds for the price of a single one); very central, but quiet and pleasant location; excellent value for money. Although it is a two-star hotel, it hugely superseeds the quality of a two-star hotel.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hostel (we actually feel it was more of a hotel). Although the receptionist did not speak very much English, she was extremely helpful. The room was very spacious, basic furnishings but perfectly serviceable - we just booked one overnight stay as we were driving through France and Spain to get to southern Spain. The only criticism, which is not really of the hotel itself, is that it is quite difficult to find. The town is a very typical Spanish town, which narrow cobbled streets and squares - would have loved to have had longer to explore. However, this made finding the hostel difficult. The local people were however very helpful and friendly, approaching us and offering to help - we didn't have to approach them for help. In the end, an elderly gentleman (with no English) came with us in our car to show us where to find the hostel.
Perfect Hostal, lovely and very friendly staff, didn't expect to have so much fun in this little town. Don't forget to eat at the main square it is absolutely great. With such a friendly staff and clean rooms who can complain!!
the staff of the location is very friendly, and willing to give information. the room and atmosfer are romantic. the hotel is decorated with love and care.
The nice owners (and staff) of this wonderful hostal do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast buffet is very good and coffee is unlimited (as well as cakes, toast, etc) ;-). Spaceous, quite room (double glass at street side) and extremely clean! Hostal is close (5 min walk) from centre and free parking in front of hostal or in the streets surrounding. Our highest recommendation!!! Actually, nothing ... but as described wifi is only available in reception area (and also in the 2 rooms above the reception (definitely on balcony of these rooms). Owners and staff do not speak english .. but that does not spoil the pleasure of you stay ;-)
Nice location; few minutes walk to lovely historic town centre and (different direction) to shopping centre. Parking charge unnecessary - plenty of free parking nearby and even in front of hotel.
Location near Trujillo centre. Helpful staff. Internal patio in interesting 19th century building. We had asked for a quiet room and were given one.
Old fashioned hotel with every comfort. Clean and comfortable.
conveniently placed, easy to find, most of the staff friendly the receptionist on arrival seemed a bit put out when we booked in
nearby interesting places nothing
Beautiful marble-floored hotel with glassed-in atrium and comfortable exterior courtyard, adjacent to bar/restaurant. Located in older small town across from small park, and about five minutes walk from an enchanting plaza mayor. Staff were very friendly, even when our Spanish ran out. Long-term parking is about four blocks away at a municipal parking lot.
The hotel design was stunning, taking you back to a bygone era. With secure parking and a central location this was excellent value for money.
Friendly staff who were attentive without being fussy and although they did not speak English this wasn't a barrier. The excellent restaurant and cafeteria in the old coach house meant that we could eat in the garden. ( Menu in English available) Food was good and reasonable with a good choice. They could see that I couldn't manage stairs and so switched me without fuss to a ground floor room Street parking was limited but the charge of 7.50 euros to park in the underground car park seemed excessive so we waited for a parking space outside
Friendly staff, convenient location lack of fridge in the room. Breakfast was meagre.
A mere 300 metres from the Plaza Mayor, this lovely hotel is light, airy and very well decorated and cared for. There is off-street parking (a fee is charged, but it's reasonable) and a popular bar and restaurant. Trujillo has many very tempting hotels and hostals, but the Victoria deserves to be better known. It's very conveniently located for the town's least touristy shops, bars and restaurants, but within walking distance of all Trujillo's most notable sights. A gem of a place! If a light breakfast were included in the price of the room (a coffee and tostado/croissant is enough!), might this ensure that more people stayed in what is a very good hotel dominated by a delightful enclosed courtyard.
The hotel is a beautiful building,a calm cool oasis of marble. The rear of the hotel features some stunning luster tiles. The hot weather during our stay meant dining outside in the spacious courtyard garden at the rear which was very pleasant and had the added buzz of the presence of local families who use this as an evening meeting place. There was no English spoken by the staff we came across but this was not an issue. The staff were all very pleasant. The car parking (at extra cost) was extremely convenient being situated at the rear of the hotel. Overall an excellent stay. Trujillo is a very interesting and lovely town and is fairly close to a stunning national wildlife reserve.
Beautiful, good price and clean hotel in the heart of medieval town. A bit cold at night. Some extra hours of heating during the night and early morning would have been appreciated. Some noisy people outside (not hotel's fault)
The Hotel was very very nice and very romantic. Liked everything about it! It would be great to get some good instructions on how to get there. The streets are really narrow and confusing.
plasant staff, amgnificent location, comfort of room Wireless internet access was advertised, but manager did not know how to access it! After one day, I learned the password from a receptionist. Full instructions in each room would help
wonderfully refurbished old building in a fantastic location
Thank you for a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings - loved the courtyard and was most thankful for the air conditioning when it was extremely hot.
Beautiful old house in beautiful, historical town of Trujillo. Very high quality restoration with oil paintings, nice wooden furniture, old tiles and lovely patio. Trujillo is a grand town to wander around and the hotel is located in the most authentic and oldest part of the town. It's hard to find and parking is a challenge but don't let that deter you. It's worth it! The room was a little too dark.
The location of the hotel is in the historical center. No parking space. Had to walk a lot to get our luggage in and out of the hotel.
Silence though in the middle of the town. An excellent cuisine!
Excellent location. Lovely courtyard for dining. Fantastic chef - unusual and delicious food.
friendly and helpful staff, great location and great food.
They allow pets. The nature and setting is fantastic. The staff adorable.
Location, helpful friendly staff (Anna) Prices more like a high quality hotel than a farm guesthouse
A very quiet site, in the middle of a nice park. Breakfast excellent Not easy to find it. The room is really spartan. We think that it's suitable for people loving nature
no dinner menu and no choice
its a fabulous place and surrounding no
The ambiance. The bathroom in room 9 was a little too rustic.
Friendly staff (not to say about the owner) Least cleaning was the previous age? Small rooms. They wanted to charge extra for a baby even though the website states differently. No hot water to bath our baby (anyway not a bathroom but a small corner inside the room, including the toilet!!). Poor choice on breakfast buffet (unless you are on a low fat, low sugar diet), with no chair available for our child (because she was not paying?). We definitely expected something better for this quite high price for this area.
This Finca, country property was very homely and different from a hotel. Much more personal. The dinner was 30 euros each per night and there was no menu choice....We only took the option once and had onion soup/meatballs/poached pears. The wine was included (from the Bodega next door) but it was very watery & we saw it sold locally for 2 Euro! So food got a very poor score!
The charm and ambience of this converted olive oil farmhouse set amongst orchards in which one can roam There did not seem to be many, if any, staff available overnight in the event of an emergency, and they were also not very evident at breakfast.
Beautiful location, comfortably rustic, well run. The storks nesting on the roofs were a bonus.
Central location Air conditioning not working in the room which due to the unseasonal high temperature in June made in very uncomfortable.
Bathroom had plenty of hot water available immediately. Room was OK but dark opening onto an internal well. The reception is up a flight of stairs on first floor, the bedrooms are up a further flight and there is no lift. Staff less than friendly. On the ground floor is a chinese restaurant. The flue from the kitchen vents at the level of the corridor to the bedrooms and there is a smell of bad oil in the corridor. We were told that there was private parking. There is not, you park in the street. Although it is mentioned in the literature, you pay at the time of booking, not when you arrive. Further, my credit card company 'phoned me to query a further charge by the hotel of 10x the original charge.
Convenient situation for centre and historic buildings, easy car parking in street nearby. Clean room and bathroom although the later very small and shower tiny The concierge was unhelpful and unwelcoming and was not available when we wanted to pay our bill before leaving told us over front door intercom he had taken it off our debit card already, we asked for a receipt and he finally appeared and gave us one after some time.
There was nothing I liked about this dirty run down hostal Concierge was unhelpful. The small room was dirty. Advertised restaurant was chinese. Hostals in Trujillo plaza mayor are cheaper and of infinite better quality. Avoid this one at all costs.
Free parking within 200m (& very limited parking right outside) Only Spanish-speaking and not overly welcoming. A smile would have been nice.
