Comfort ~ great, facilities ~ great, food (dinner) ~ superb, breafast ~ excellent Nothing we didn't like .. we were 'stopping over' en route further south in France .. our cars were full of luggage etc. A garage or secure compound to enable us to leave the cars packed overnight would have been excellent and worth an additional charge.
Friendly staff and very nice dinner. Good with the kids aged 8 and 13 No stationery/pens/pencils/ in the rooms
The garden and pool area. Also very good restaurant. We did not have air conditioning in our room.
The hotel we stayed at was lovely, friendly hosts, clean rooms - lovely new swimming pool and a peaceful lake to walk around. Close to Saumur which is a lovely area and plenty to see in this area. Maybe have tea/coffee facilites would be nice but other than that I would recommend it.
Restaurant was good quality but quite expensive. Very close to Route National and not as well situated as web site suggested. Facilities in room a bit basic for the price.
We arrived at St Malo on the ferry bound for the Royan so locationwise it was ideal. A few miles before the confusing Nantes ring-road. Just by the N137. The family room was very spacious. Tthe restaurant menu was not ideal for families with young children (A La Carte), however I guessed this before booking so it was not a big deal.
The restaurant was a bit dated and the food was expensive and not very exciting.
The food. It's next door to the Nantes/Rennes road, which wouldn't be much fun for a week's holiday. Fortunately we were there for one night. There was a large cordoned off hole in the lawn just outside our room. Not pretty!
When en route to chanel ports excellent gourmet stop off Breakfast needs improvement
We arrived at the hotel 1.30am was nobody inside but short notice was left for us how to get in. The swimming pool had a green water.
The location was central for shopping, wining and dining and had very easy access to good public transport network. Because of industrial action and protests in Nantes our access to the hotel was "barred"for a few hours. When we arrived after this fraught experience and unloaded our luggage at the front door only to be directed to the public car park three blocks away, the staff offered no assistance and failed to point out the hotel car park in the hotel courtyard for the exclusive use of clients. I was not impressed. The breakfast service was barely adequate with very limited choice.
traditonal hotel, friendly service, large room, superb location the noise, the noise, the noise
Location, staff Value for money, room facilities - tea/coffee, safe, shower, light bulbs
The size of the space! No.
Smack on Graslin Square. Quite and comfortable. Free parking. No complaints. Good deal. Solid hotel.
The staff would speak English but did let me speak with my modist French without me felling "silly" (if that makes sence)
Excellent location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful Hotel decor and furniture a little tired.
location bed uncomfortable, backyard view
closeness to amenities poor room standards, requested and got larger room. No mirrors in room or drink making facilities. No shoer - mixer tap on bath
Courtesy and attention of all staff. Excellent facilities. Historic but light and airy surroundings.
I like the location which is a bit outside of Nantes downtown and also a very quiet place and a very good standard for the room and also for the food which is of quality and correct pricing. I appreciate as well the outside decoration of this hotel. The room I was given was probably too far away from the wifi network so I could not receive a proper signal. But this was a minor inconvenient.
Quiet rooms and spacious - staff friendly.Food excellent in restaurant.
Helpful, friendly staff. Good meal at the restuarant. Large room. Was in Nantes on business and the only way of getting from the hotel to Nantes and back was by taxi. This cost about 50 Euros each day. And if you want a taxi, make sure you book it the night before otherwise long delays.
The hotel was empty - mid august! Due to this fact most services were limited eg bar closed at 9pm
spacoius clean room and excellent service
No public transport acces to Nantes Cente. Impossible for a Conference delegate without a car if the Conference venue is downtown. THe difficulty i n accessing transport should be made clear o n the Hotel information. Otherwise, provide a mini-bus service to and from central Nantes
efficient easy and convenient
courtesy of the staff & the French people in general
the quietness as we stayed on friday night also helpful staff
The restaurant was unable to cope with a full hotel. We had to eat at a nearby restaurant.
Really Big and comfortable room. Breakfast without fruits and relatively few options.
The location to the International Congress Center was very convenient and it was a close walk to Place Commerce and Place Royale. The hotel staff never came into my room the entire week I was there. I grapped clean towels from the cart in the hallway. perhaps this was what I was supposed to do.
Comfort room & place. But if you need any thing from hotel like towel ...cleaning of the room you must ask as it's differ from hotel rules daily cleaning at this hotel. They had not daily cleaning of room for my staying period each items needed must be asked.
Location close to all tourist destinations. Modern ambience of rooms. No ice available.
It was confortable, central, new and clean. I had a room with the sofa bed and I find it very confortable indeed I was not able to connect to internet with my laptop from my room, but there was a pc at the hotel hall available for guests. As I stayed 4 nights the room was no more cleaned while staying. But anyway it was not really a problem as I was alone and kept everything clean.
Location, room design & comforts (washing machine, vacum cleaner, iron, cutlery etc), some restaurants and stores for a quick snak almost next door (we tried the pizza take away and the Chinese/Laos restaurant which were very good) and the fact that it was very new (we were told it opent in Nov 2009) It would be very convenient if the empty store on the ground floor was a small food market and/or a bakery (the closest we found was about 10 min walk). Very inconvenient handles in kitchen cupboards, washing mashine & fridge. It's imposible to open them with wet hands.
_ Everything to been perfect, the facilities are new and of good quality, the service and the personnel are very attentive and nice ___ the situation of the hotel is good __ Excellently, _ I recommend it earnestly __ The prepayment __ I particularly prefer paying on having come to the hotel. .
Design and comfort of our room.
extremely helpful staff, great location! Having a fully stocked kitchen (equipment) is a very nice feature for families, since very often in France the breakfast is not good and expensive. Super clean, new and fresh, in contrast to what French hotels are often like... It wasn't a problem for us, but it was surprising to pull up to the hotel and see 2 'sex shops' on the same street.
The location (very close to the conference center, the railway, the castle and the city), the hotel stuff (very kind) and the facilities (wifi in the room, sauna and gym etc)
The breakfast was the best sofar in France. The staff was very frienly
The hotel was very comfortable and ideally situated for the reasons for my visit to Nantes.
tt was a good value for the money with nice bedding, clean and spacious bathroom. I wanted to stay 3 nights but had to leave after 2, because the hotel was sold out. I was referred to the Comfort Inn Astoria, which was a dump.
good location, cleanliness. temperature of the room is centrally controlled.
it was very central to train station and to the main attractions in the city.bus and tram service was very convienent. Breakfast was good value at 10 euro.
Clean, large room, and even though next to railway station I had a good, quiet stay. Parking was a problem
Close to everything. Ten minute walk to castle and cathedral and restaurant/shopping quarter. Clean room but hallways had a musty smell. Late checkout is nice for those who aren't morning people. Especially when you have 4 in your party with only one bathroom. Breakfast good. Eggs and bacon too!! No private parking. Had to park in an alley behind hotel. Hotel reception said it was at no charge and we realized the next morning it was paid parking. Web site said room was a suite. I expected a little more than just a big room with 4 beds and a fridge. You get what you pay for.
Professional staff and very helpful. Comfortable room and very clean. It was right next to the train station and met all ou needs. Nothing
Convenience of the location; opposite railway station
Proximity to sites of interest and restaurants. Parking at the railway station across a very busy street may be a problem for some people (older or with young children).
The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Nantes. It is therefore very convenient to visit the city. Hotel staff is helpful and kind. The room temperature was a little bit cold for me and I had no way of changing it.
the staff when you arrive /wifi access/ design/ location The room was cold!No shampoo/ Noisy early in the morning because of the truck cleaning the surrounding streets/ 2 small packs of Nescafe or tea would be welcome in the room/ Please improve the way to enter in the hotel during evening ( door closed and secured, I enter because somebody was going out)
Great location, modern apartment ,although quite basic everything was clean and new. Good location for shops and restuarants. Close to one lof the biggest indoor skateparks in Europe . No car park ( it is a city centre but we managed to park outside at the weekend )
They sent me an email after I had departed on my journey, saying they had overbooked, and had no room for me. They could not find any hotel nearby for the same money, so they sent me to a sister hotel, in the next city, 20 minutes away. I wanted to be in the original location, right in the heart of that area.
Very clean and helpful staff. Very noisy at night and building work in the adjacent street from early hours of the morning. Hotel room had no hairdryer, but could borrow one from reception and no tea/coffee available in the room.
Very clean hotel, rooms were very clean also. Excellent location. Staff helpful Our room was a bit small, but adequate, not enough room storage-wise, my husband likes to put everything away, but there was no-where to put our bags, or the contents of them, so they were open on the floor for the weekend, which annoyed my husband. We had to ask for clean towels, the rooms are not cleaned everyday.
We liked the facility to make hot drinks and light meals in our room. Although it was certainly not the fault of the hotel there was a lot of night-time noise from nearby bars and restaurants.
location breakfast is no value for what you are paying bit of a rip off
Great location easy to find and close to all the restaurants and bars, very friendly staff and extremely helpful. Only downside was the rooms were a bit small but for a weekend away they had everything we needed.
I liked the location as the Bouffay stop on the local tram was right beside the hotel. Also, it was very clean throughout. 2-bedroom suite was ideal for us and reasonably priced. Bathroom was a good size and towels were replaced on Day 1 of our stay without us having to ask for them. The receptionist ordered a taxi to the Airport for us and it arrived ahead of our requested time. A good choice of restaurants were to be found near the hotel. Front of the hotel (tram side) didn't look very attractive as it looked like a derelict building initially. There was a fair bit of noise late at night with people making their way home after their night out.
The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the city nothing all was good
The hotel was very centrally located and clean, the staff were friendly. Tea/coffee in room plus a hair dryer. The only complaint i have is that the beds were old and it was sagging in the middle, caused a back ache for both of us. Due to the very central location there was some noise on weekend nights.
Good hotel - good central location - good wine selection in the bar. Parking was a bit tricky to get to
very friendly personnel; very well organised; good breakfast Lot of street noise at night
The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast Buffet is as good as expected. The location is super and close to all points of interest. The bathroom shower spills over the floor due to poor layout and finish of the barrier glass
Excellent location, large room, good value for money One-way streets and nearby tramways make it difficult to reach by car.
Hotel so central and convenient Missed the Tea & Coffee facilities in the room
Clean, friendly staff, good location and private parking underneath. Very noisy outside most of the night. Air-conditioning not working in a very warm stuffy room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was very comfortable nad I would recomend this hotel to others
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, the location is perfect for the shopping district and a short stroll from the bars/restaurants.
We do not like the lack of preparation of the reception staff to give information of any kind. We had no tour support we can to fulfill our plan to visit.
reception staff very helpful, breakfast was good and good tram link to other parts of city. There was also parking facility.
Reception Staff- Spoke English very well and menus/signs etc in English were a bonus! Ice machine was great. Food was excellent and very accomodating for the children. Approach to restaurant is not good, loads of coat hangers, meeting in the bar, could not see if the restaurant was open. Only one member of staff serving both bar and restaurant. Not very efficient. Too expensive for gin and tonic - 9 euros each and only one bottle of tonic between 2 people. Breakfast not very good value at 13 euros per person-not a lot for your money.
Hotel had a good value for money. Tramway provided a good transport connection to the city center, as the location was a bit off center. There was also free parking in the garage, even if a bit cramped. Nothing to complain.
loved the location loads to see and do. tram outside the door.also bike hire.loads of parking. perfect experience.
The hotel is located at the river about 1.2 km from the center. The tram stop is just at the hotel. The hotel has its own garage. Our room was large with twin beds and nice view of the river.
Location close to the city centre, right opposite a tram stop was extremely convenient. Car parking excellent. Very quiet, very nicely furnished accomodation. Checking in time was quite late in the day, and the fact that the hotel restuarant was closed at the week-end was a pity.
Good restaurant and friendly staff. Furniture & carpets in rooms need updating to justify 3 star rating.
Polite Friendly staff. Good position of hotel to main Tourist attractions. There was no air conditionaing. The room was very hot and noisy with the window open. There were also some form of flying insects that caused my partner to be bitten and some discomfort.
clean room and ready window was open on entry and flys or mites were around lights and bit us during nites sleep... expensive for what your getting to be honest. its like a jurys in ireland but double the price..
the equipment there are very nice
I like a lot the hotel staff, even not speaking french so much, the communication was good and the room is really nice, confortable and clean. I went to Nantes for the first time and, as a visitor, I was expecting that the hotel location was more in the center of the city, or near it. Is not hard to get by bus or tram (the station is really close by walking and there´s a bus stop in the end of the hotel street), but it would be better, if don´t have a car/auto to stay in a central area. So my suggestion would be for the hotel, explain better about the location, so people can choose better if it´s the case.
Quiet , clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff., free internet in room with good bandwidth. Still somehow "unfinished", no wifi in room.
Wow!!! What can I say about this hotel? It's obviously only been built recently and judging by the few people who were staying, it is ridiculously under used and has not been 'discovered' yet. All the rooms appear to be 'apartment' rooms; air conditioned, fridge, cooker, separate toilet and bathroom and immaculately clean at a bargain price!!! Highly recommended! The only minor issue was that the restaurant in the hotel seems to shut during the French Summer holiday, which seemed a little weird, but I suspect this will probably change as the hotel becomes more well known. It wasn't an issue as there was a choice of a couple of restaurants about a 10 minute walk away. It wouldn't put me off staying at this fantastic hotel!
Friendliness of the staff.
friendly staff, clean room quite difficult to find
Hotel is new therefore not everything was working. No WiFi connection in the room. Breakfast was rather modest. Price was excellent though so overall I would recommend lack of WiFi
Efficient, helpful and friendly service. Cleanliness, comfort and quality of rooms. Tasty, well presented, good choice and good, friendly service at breakfast. Conveniently located for sight-seeing.
The convenient car park. Location. Poor internet connection.
Hotel situated near to train station and also near to city centre. Breakfast buffet was also quite nice.
Efficient, friendly service from reception, cleaning staff and the restaurant. Large, well appointed rooms. Good choice at breakfast.
The room was very good and the service was good as well. Location is not the best choice for holidays purposes, because it is a little far from the city centre.
The room was child friendly. And was within walking distance of the city centre Parking was directly below the hotel but was not owned by. Very aesy to use but an added expense at €12 a day.
The easy access to the parking lot and the location close to the city center.
We felt relaxed and it was convenient. Clean and welcoming. Good and easy to have a safe in the room. Only two portions of milk per day in the room. We wished to be able to have more warm drinks than 2. Didn't like the cardboard cups in the room. A little too hot in the room, no way of making it cooler. Drinks and food in the room cabinet very dear - hence wwe did not avail ourselves of this service.
The hotel has been refurbished since we last stayed there, big improvement, staff very friendly as always. Secure parking for motorcycle. Location is good ten minute stroll to the old quarter where there are plenty restaurants and bars to choose from.
Convenient for the railway station. Friendly staff
The hotel was nice and quiet as well as being very well located opposite the Gare and also being on the Green Line of the Tramway System which was excellent value and very easy to use The weather but also the lack of in room coffee & tea facilities which seem to be complemenary in soo many other hotels
Good location and good value for money Unfortunately the free WiFi did not work with my iPhone and the staff were not very helpful
Proximity to station and centre of town
i could not fault it .clan , very helpful staff and owners in every way
no parking expensive breakfast very basic
A well situated, clean and comfortable hotel with secure parking
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Good experience. Satisfied with everything
The hotel was in a good location, a short walk to the train station and castle. The soundproofing between rooms was non-existent, I could hear people flushing the toilet, having a shower, and someone snoring.
Very good room. Great staff-really helpfu land good humoured. Food excellent. Breakfast -top class No-Would love to go there again
Very clean and comfortable rooms, just next to the station and rental car offices.
I do not like much. Bottom of the hotel's restaurant and as soon as the train station. Very small rooms, cramped. And nenaravitsya when shower goes straight to bed. Humidity feels misted window of the room.
Good restaurant attached to the hotel. Room was a good size, clean and up to date with all necessities. Near the railway station. Secure hotel parking. Walking distance to chateau. Staff were excellent
Very good. Room was very clean, and well cleaned every day. Nice and quite. Good location. Menu could have English description in addition to French. I was assigned a smoking room even thought I had asked for a non-smoking room but it was not a problem since I could not detect any smoke. The bed was a little hard for my taste.
Location Smell of smoke in the hall by our room
excellent room - no noise from station No tea/coffee facilities in room
Well located, clean rooms, good value for money. No internet access
Convenient to train station was great and the convenience to the old town. The staff were friendly. I was upgraded and had a beautiful big room. Breakfast was great ... loved the pancakes!
The staff were extremely helpful. The fact that the hotel is literally attached to the station (windows are double glazed so no noise!) makes up for the fact that it is about 10 minutes walk away from the main tourist attractions in the old town. When we were there, complimentary hot beverages and biscuits were available 24 hours at the lobby - nice touch. Breakfast was pretty standard and breakfast is free to guests aged 55 and above.
All staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast although normally a bit too expensive for our pocket! Nothing - absolutely perfect for our night out.
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, modern desing furniture Grounds need attention
The room was clean, however the hotel is quite far away from the city centre. Far away from the city centre and if you use public transportation than you have to walk for 10 min. through sometimes deserted areas.
Brand new hotel with very friendly staff. Hard to find with a GPS but it is worth it.
excellent room very quiet . good breakfast selection . secure parking a definite plus .
lean, modern, very helpful staff
Very convenient the Zenith Theatre and the shopping at the Atlantis shopping centre. Parking easy as well outside the hotel. Good breakfast. Pity there is no restaurant for an evening meal.
New and clean Location difficult to find as not on Sat Nav yet
Excellent location: Zenith 1 minute's walk & Atlantis Shopping Center within walking distance (with unfortunately not very good restaurants). The hotel breakfast is great, with freshly squeezed citrus fruits at choice! Staff remembered us from last time and are professional and extremely helpful. Tea/coffee set in room!!! Underground parking at 10 EUR/night (recommended with big Zenith events) with lift direct to room. Lots of TV channels TNT + CNN + Eurosport etc. Top marks! In spite of quite spacy rooms and excellent showers with great turbo pressure, seperate wc; one little ick: The lack of wardrobe space (lacks drawers, easily accessible shelfspace, shoe-space) so I would not stay for a longer period of time, but then I imagine this is not the kind of clientele this hotel attracts. Still a great place for a business stopover, zenith visit, or hospitals.
