10.0 Excellent
Pros: You can certainly see the effort made by the staff/proprietors to accommodate their guests. Secure parking at no additional charge.
Cons: Morning light shutters didn't quite block out. To be fair facility did provide sleep mask, but it's not until morning comes you realise you may need it if you intended to sleep in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were freshly renovated. It looks like a B&B from the outside, but it is really more like a small hotel passionately run by Heidi and Paul. Location is slightly outside the city center, but it's only a 10 minute walk through a park alongside a small river. On site parking is available. A quiet neighbourhood provides a good night sleep. Breakfast was great with a lot of selfmade stuff (e.g. marmelade).

Pros: This is a fantastic B&B, with wonderful hosts who really care about their guests. We arrived early and they did all they could to ensure our early check-in - for free. The house and the rooms are simply beautiful, tastefully decorated and very, very comfortable. We booked a small room but the space was so cleverly organised that it felt much bigger. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices. As for the location, it's a lovely ten-minute riverside walk. Onsite parking is such a bonus, especially considering the situation with parking in Canterbury. Thank you, Paul and Heidi!

Pros: Hot plentiful water, very efficient water heater for hot drinks in room, bath sheets for towels, also relaxing lounge sitting area in main area. Outside seating when available. English breakfast cooked to order.
Cons: Our rooms weren’t cleaned or available on pre arranged arrival. It would of been nice to have been offered refreshments whilst we waited. On returning one evening from supper in Canterbury, residents outdoor seating area on veranda was being used by staff. Unavailable for my family to use. Returning mid afternoon, sitting outside on veranda for nearly an hour, on returning to rooms, my parents room was being cleaned and the other two rooms not cleaned. The cleaner knocked on the door at 3.50pm to clean. Sorry not acceptable. Following this the owner decided to hedge trim the hedge outside our window. The following morning laundry collection at 7am, was very noisy with slamming doors. With windows open in a good weather A2 traffic very noticeable.

Pros: The breakfasts were excellent self-serve cereals & toast with a cooked breakfast if you wished. The room was good, spacious with ample supply of sockets + TV, fridge and hot drinks facililties. Bed quite comfortable if a little firm. Parking is available though a little limited.
Cons: Signage for property, as set off the main road missed it a few times as small and slightly obscured by foliage.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome, helpful hostess&staff. Very good breakfast, cooked to order, with plenty of choice of 'starter' and preserves to accompany the toast. Pleasantly fresh-feeling & bright bedroom with good en-suite facilities&outlook.
Cons: Initially finding it was not as straightforward as I'd expected as the property is set back from South Street behind other properties and is accessed down a track. The sign by the track had become partially hidden by surrounding foliage - this was rectified during our visit! Knowing I was in the correct locality, I parked the car and walked to pin-point it's actual location.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host. Clean, well organised, nice accommodation and very fine spread available for breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed the whole experience.
Cons: Surrounding plants were a bit neglected. And windowsills were a bit dusty.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a cabin for two people in July for one night. We liked the indoor and outdoor space. Nice breakfast. Comfortable bed, effective fan even though the weather was very hot. Friendliness of the owner.
Cons: Nothing. All good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On arrival made very welcome; room was ready and contained everything for a comfortable stay - hairdrier, tea/coffee etc tray - wonderful powerful fan to keep the room cool - just everything; shower room beautifully clean and provide with toiletries. The cooked breakfast was provided to special requests, (such as to how egg was cooked etc). The outside area was a total pleasure to sit in or wander around - shrubs, fruit trees, flowers etc, nice views across to skyline. Staff were polite, cordial and very helpful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked, (in no particular order)... the beds, view, breakfast, garden, other guests, tea & coffee facilities, bottles of water, use of the washing line ... to name but a few.
Cons: Nothing to not like!

Pros: The lady was good, we arrived just before last orders and she was accommodating. Location was excellent for us as we were crossing to France
Cons: Shower was terrible. No breakfast before 8am unless we wanted cereal and toast left for us. One of us is a coeliac so this wasn’t suitable, we left at 7.15am as we had to get breakfast elsewhere, however no refund/offer of refund for breakfasts.
5.5 Okay
Cons: Although the inn is a lovely historic building and the staff very helpful I think I would have to add a word of warning. I had booked to stay during the Summer and the large upstairs room I was to stay in had only a very small window, the room was so hot, even when the outside temperature had cooled and despite using the supplied fan the heat in the room became unbearable. No other rooms were available so in order to get a good nights sleep I decided to move to The Rose and Crown across the road where I enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep, sadly my request for a refund due to the uncomfortable conditions in the room was refused which I found disappointing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, stunning rural location, with great hosts and staff. Beautiful room with beamed ceiling. Good quality toiletries in the ensuite shower room, plenty of towels, and lots of tea and coffee on the welcome tray. Great value for money.
Cons: Only negative was the stairs up to the room were very narrow and steep, with a handrail only on one side. Not suitable for people with health problems, but was the last vacant room remaining. The staff were very kind and helpful, and carried my luggage up and down the stairs, an old world courtesy so often absent nowadays!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast
Cons: Bed was on a slope -( due to the age of this wonderful old building)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hidden gem. Well, at least to use. We stayed in the surroundings of Canterbury before, but never in this place. Beautiful, very old inn with all his authentic "downsides". Our room (Wellington) was very spacious with large separate bathroom. A big wide screen TV and large, wide bed; very comfortable. Food is great and so is the English breakfast.
Cons: No mobile signal and I mean NO, zero, nothing (...or maybe that is a plus, you pick). From the local newspaper I understand the community of Elham is in contact with the major providers to get this fixed. The wifi isn't all that good; at least from our room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A fascinating medieval building in an attractive quiet village, yet conveniently close to the Channel Tunnel. My room was very obviously in an old building, but it was comfortable and offered everything that I needed. The village shop is next door, making it easy to get morning papers etc. I probably shall stay here again when using the tunnel.
Cons: Food was good and tasty, but service, although with a smile, tended to be a bit haphazard and slow. The breakfast menu was limited and offered no fresh fruit. Mobile phone signals are very poor in the whole village, but the WiFi connection in the hotel is good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The fact Special coffees were included with the breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host and staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the feel of the inn. Staff very friendly and a wonderful ancient house which I absolutely loved.
Cons: All perfect !
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice cosy, and quirky old inn. We did not have dinner, but the food looked excellent, we had eaten on the way down, as we had delays with traffic and roadworks. Had drinks in the bar which was nice. Our dog was welcomed, and Molly the resident dog was beautiful and wondered around, and excepted the occasional pat. Breakfast was full and quality product which showed. Really enjoyed our stay, just a pity we were just passing to go to France, but look forward to a future stay, and meal.
Cons: Parking was busy, but eased later on to accommodate.

Pros: Magic place! Very helpful staff! Breakfast the best of the best !!! I want to come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From when we first walked in the staff were great. Handed us our pass to gain free entry into the Cathedral and a list of restaurants in the city which gave discounts (20%) for the one we used. The room we had was in the annex and it was really good, clean and well furnished. The breakfast included in the price was fantastic. A good selection and well cooked and presented. All the staff were outstanding and very helpful. 24 hours car parking in the grounds for just £5 was very good value as well as being secure.
Cons: Could find no faults with it
8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast good, very noisy location, woken up several times during night and early hours.
Cons: as above
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Gave us great information about the city and surround areas. One of the best experiences we had on our holiday
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was amazing - literally in the grounds of the cathedral, with an impressive view from are bedroom window. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking (booked in advance) was extremely helpful and excellent value at £5 a night. The breakfast was lovely - good selection of continental and cooked and prepared to a high standard.
Cons: I have no complaints regarding the hotel, it's location or service. Canterbury cathedral was very impressive and the city has a number of interesting historical sites, good shops and cafes. However, the further away from the cathedral you went the city showed increasing signs of deprivation - closed shops, graffiti and street homeless.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The amazing view and location. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Tasteful decor. Peaceful garden. Library.
Cons: Room size.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the heart of Canterbury and full access to the cathedral.
Cons: Rooms are pretty small, and beds a bit too soft.

Pros: Friendly, flexible, helpful staff Fresh up to date fittings that did not detract from historic building in perfect location
Cons: Considering a few constraints due to historic , listed building, there was nothing disliked
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super helpful staff. Carried bags for us up the stairs and left the desk immediately to help me find the fan in my room. The cold water (fizzy and still) was great and got rid of plastic waste.
Cons: It was super hot during our stay and fans did help but it was still rather warm to try to sleep. This was out of anyone's control.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location beside the Cathedral Gate. Well situated for all the attractions of Canterbury Town.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff Comfortable beds Modern bathroom Cleanliness
Cons: Too many stairs for elderly or infirm people
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location! The staff were so accommodating as I arrived after midnight and someone was there to let me in and show me to my room! Free WiFi with strong signal. Lots of character including exposed beams and nooks and crannies! View of old buttermarket on one side and cathedral on other!
Cons: If you use a walking aid you wouldn’t manage it as the floors are significantly sloped in some areas. I actually chose to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed to avoid head rush of sleeping downhill. However this added to the character and international guests would particularly get a kick out of this gorgeous hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and period quirkiness
Cons: It was just great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location in heart of City. Staff so helpful and efficient. Good breakfast. Very good car parking permit system quite tricky to access
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Old and quaint. Clean and with all the trimmings. Personal service and very polite and obliging staff and owners. Loved it.
Cons: Nothing. We had to share toilet/shower facilites and they were small, but hell the builing is hundereds of years old. They didn't have indoor plumbing when it was built!

Cons: Nothing. Everything was wonderful
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely looking and the bathroom was spacious with a great shower.
Cons: I didn't like the dogs barking until late at night and for them to start again at sunrise! On a hot night we had no choice but to have the window open. Also as we were in the downstairs room it was quite noisy with everyone else walking up to their rooms and moving about. We had had a very long day and whilst my husband is lucky enough to just hit the bed and pass out into deep sleep, as tired as I was I did not sleep well and was very disturbed.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were really lovely, and the garden is beautiful! The lounge are is also very nice. The room was really clean and nicely decorated.
Cons: Our room (room 4) was BOILING! No aircon, just a fan which we got out of the wardrobe and plugged in, and it made little difference. This meant we had an awful nights sleep.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Excellent breakfast, good quality food. Great staff and very accommodating when an early check in was requested.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's one of those places where you could try to analyse different elements - but actually I just like the whole package. It was my second stay here. The people are always very open, friendly and helpful. I had a light evening meal (having only taken breakfast last time) and the food was excellent... cooking, and a treatment of flavour, a level above what I was expecting.
Cons: n/a
