10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fábulas place and after arriving late the staff went to a lot of trouble to provide us with food. Great building and grounds.
Cons: Breakfast let it down. First the breakfast room was not open on time so we were left waiting. It clearly was not ready when we finally got access. There was cold bacon and sausages left out from some other time, coffee was not nice due to long life milk. So just the breakfast let it down.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Very good meal. Convenient location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This convent has been converted into a very contemporary hotel. The (wall) art matches the style of the hotel well. The rooms are large and minimalistic with a very comfortable super king size bed. What is extremely nice about the property is that it has a lovely peaceful garden to sit in and wander around. The restaurant serves delicious food and the breakfast is also tasty and plentiful. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and the location although a bit off the beaten track offers the opportunity to explore “las Tuerces” with amazing rock formations as well as the “Cannon Horadada”, a canyon only accessible on foot (or by train). Yes, the train passes by the hotel but it is not very frequent.
Cons: The room did not have air conditioning. Fortunately we were there in September and had the windows open, but not sure what it would be like in summer.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully designed building
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful combination of history and modern design. Very helpful and friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: superbly converted convent - quirky room designs, contemporary but comfortable - huge bed! lovely well kept gardens. staff very friendly, especially the bar staff - restaurant was very busy in the evening and staff were hard pushed to cope with items being missed for the order. overall lovely experience - would definitely recommend.
Cons: no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. could not charge drinks in the bar to the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building; extremely comfy beds; very friendly staff and delicious food. There was a wedding on at the time, but it didn’t impact on our stay at all which is very often not the case with hotels.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a very serene feel about the place. We just wanted a bed for the night after getting off the Santander ferry that was in the direction of our final destination. Easy to find and lovely staff. Very welcoming.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An impressive building sympathetically renovated in wonderful surroundings, which provided the ideal backdrop for a very enjoyable stay.
Cons: Almost every aspect was great. If I was pushed to provide constructive criticism, then I think that more careful selection of fruit for breakfast would be beneficial (ripeness and condition)
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and attentive
Cons: Found the interior decor in the public areas much too dark and austere with the exception of the dinning room. Bedroom fine.
4.4 Okay
Pros: Beautiful building
Cons: No lift, difficult stairs for an older person. Cold food in the dining rooom which had to be returned

Cons: All was good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good restaurant, but slightly expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything fine
Cons: Booking.com said we booked the last room. In fact there was only one other room occupied and the restaurant was therefore closed. The owner was however extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was generous. We were given good instruction on getting to a good restaurant not too far away. We would choose this casa rural again because it was really good, but not book it through booking.com because they lie.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A really nice patio, great for kids; comfortable and bright lounge; charming bar right across the patio; lots of tourist information available; parking right outside; people in the town were friendly; it was interesting walking around the old old town. . We also liked the host and hostess. It was very clean.
Cons: The room itself was acceptable, but nothing special.

Pros: A peaceful situation in a beautiful valley a wonderful old priory restored by the host in a most artistic yet rustic style, honouring the old ways with hand made earthen bricks alongside both sophisticated and simple furnishings a total conflict of styles that were put together by an expert and made the whole experience a delight We were very tired after a long journey and she kindly made us a wholesome plate of local cheese and salad and a delicious bottle of wine I think you can tell we love loved loved it

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed with 3 kids in a 6 bed room and they loved it. Aurora was extremely nice and friendly. If we ever go for the ferry from Santander we'll be staying here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Despite being about twenty minutes off the motorway between Burgos and Leon, this place was well worth the detour. The staff were friendly, the beds extremely comfortable and the whole place newly renovated and clean. The communal kitchen was big and well equipped. It also has a TV room and a bar next door. Herrera de Pisuerga is a great town with a fun and lively ambiance. We had drinks and tapas at La Piedade just up the road and wandered back via the river and park where families were busy stoking up the communal bbqs and playing in the playgrounds. At the other end of the park is an aviary and the public outdoor swimming pool. It cost €7 for a family of four for the pool and there is a cafe inside. We happened to be there for the pre-crab festival and there was a pool party which was fun as was the DJ Party in the square outside the hostal that evening. The old town centre is also very pretty with some nice cafes.
7.5 Good
Pros: Easy access to the motorway for a stopover from santander on the way south. The beds were comfortable. The town has a good food shop also.
Cons: The hostel was cold but this was because of a technical problem with the heating when we were there..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess, Aurora, was very hospitable and welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend El Aubergue de Herrera de Pisuerga because of her hospitality.
Cons: An easier password for the wifi? Need an electric kettle in the kitchen?
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Love the look of the traditional building. Our host was friendly. Very reasonable price. Big kitchen to share with other guests. Confortable space. Very close to a big park and public swimming pool. Pleasantly surprised by how interesting is this little town. English was not commonly spoken, which adds more exotic feelings to the stay.
Cons: There's no air conditioning and we can't open the window. Too bad, 'cause it was cool and windy outside at night. Shower has no curtains or separation, we had to be really careful so we won't flood the bathroom.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great people, very friendly and accommodating, the place was clean .
Hotel Valentin - Aguilar de Campóo - Restaurant

8.1 Excellent (1,655 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was nothing to dislike. Bearing in mind we were late arrivals we were made very welcome and looked after
Cons: See last answer
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. The underground car park was tight for our car so there was absolutely no problem in using a more suitable space than the one allocated. The hotel is well located near the historic centre.
Cons: We had to park a little way away and go to check in before accessing the car park. Had we known, we could have used an intercom system which was not obvious.
7.5 Good
Pros: Right in the middle of a lovely area. Plenty of shops and nice walk.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location four our needs, comfortable, good food and service. Staff attentive.
Cons: Secure parking a bit tight. Issue with room booking which was sorted quickly. Reception thought I was still to pay for the room, not sure where responsibility of the confusion lay. We have had a problem with an online booking previously (hotel had not received my booking)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast wasn't the best as there was no menu just a waitress asking what you would like, very limited.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Meals were good value, secure parking a bonus. The rooms were clean and staff very helpful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
7.5 Good
Pros: Convenient to the motorway

Pros: Parking, although the room was tired looking, downstairs the hotel had a nice character and the staff were friendly.
Cons: No internet in the room, room and bed were small, not enough toilet paper and resrurant was very noisy. The room was dissappointing given the pictures when booking. It wasn't terrible but we have found better hotels cheaper.
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel easy to find on route from Santander. Typical Spanish decor. We arrived later than expected but were still able to order food in restaurant. Good overnight stop off.
Cons: Unfortunately there was a local party or mighty very nearby so music playing till early hours, but this not really hotels fault!
5.0 Okay
Pros: We managed to stay awake until 9pm and had a meal in the hotel restaurant. It was very good, 3 courses including a good steak and half bottle of wine for 16 Euros. Breakfast was ok too.
Cons: The location, felt a bit strange, nothing open until around 6pm, didn't see any women and the men stared, felt a bit uncomfortable. Afte a long non stop drive all we wanted to do was eat and rest up, but none of the restaurants in town or in the hotel opened until 9pm. The room felt dirty, I don't think it was, just everything was brown, even the paintings on the walls.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: States they speak English. They don;t. Very old man on reception had not got a clue. Place was freezing cold and smell of old and musty furniture. Not antique. Avoid like the plague.
7.9 Good
Pros: Open fire. Excellent meal, tasty and good value. Staff friendly.
Cons: Confusion over booking, they said we should have turned up day before!
6.7 Good
Pros: The lady who ran the hotel tried to be helpful with her little English we managed to understand each other.
Cons: This was a very remote village with nothing there.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored old monastery with cobbled courtyard, beams & even a well in reception. We had a lovely room with lots of space & great facilities. The hotel is set on the edge of the town, an easy walk away from shops & restaurants, although we ate in the hotel (very good food). There is a huge dam only a little walk away with superb views in all directions. We traveled by motorcycle which they allowed us to park in the courtyard for better security.

Cons: Nothing, everything was very good. The room was of exceptional good quality.
