Hotel staff very helpful, good location for stopover on way to Santander. Good value dinner menu ( house wine included in the price). Breakfast not great
It had character TV programmes lacking, coulnt even get Spanish news. Breakfast was terrible, coffee and a pastry if you were lucky in the cafeteria
Reasonably priced hotel. The standard of rooms were good. Parking was also useful. The breakfast was very basic.
The dearest hotel on our trip and the least enjoyable. Breakfast was really poor, served in a public bar, poor quality food and people smoking next to you. Would not recommend the hotel.
We thought the staff were extremely pleasant and polite and the service and food in the restaurant was excellent.
Room & balcony, quality old style fittings, spacious comfortable surroundings, centre of town with secure parking N/A
Comfortable, reasonable price. Disco, awful noise and our table in the restaurant was vibrating. Basic breakfast in a smokey bar, parking needed to pay 6 euros for hotel parking.
Made us very welcome on arrival. Staff & service excellent ,nothing to much bother. Good food & plenty in the restaurant & for breakfast.Drink at the bar cheap compared to UK. All in all very satisfied. No
Easily found, good welcoming reception, secure garaging for motorbike, helpful restaurant staff, comfortable bedroom.
The staff were the friendliest Spanish People I have ever come across and the buffet dining at €10 per head was excellent value for money and included a bottle of wine between 2 and also a bottle of still water. The accommodation was quaint but very comfortable and clean.
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay with a good choice of Menu at the Hotel in this very Historic Town/Region.The Duplex rooms were small but comfortable and adequate for a short stay.
Situated in a very historic building Our bed as on top of the bathroom in the roof space.with steep stairs for access. No air conditioning would make it unbearable in the hot weather. Get a room with the bed on the floor
IT was oinly an overnight stop - and was fit for purpose
The hotel is a very tasteful refurbishment of the barns / sheds attached to the monastery. It looked and felt good and the court yard was lovely with a range of fruit trees. The staff when we checked in were professional, helpful and friendly. Although the hotel in its literature made much of its culinary restaurant and wine cellar (and the a la carte menu that was on display looked delicious). Unfortunately the menu turned out not to be available that evening and we were not told when we booked into the restuarant. The menu del dai was good value but very basic and came with either red or white wine but no choice within that. Also, although there was a resident's bar that was unmanned for the 2 hours prior to dinner.

The hotel is in a converted monastery, in a wonderful old building and is full of atmosphere. The restaurant was excellent - the menu del dia is excellent value giving an imaginative 3 course meal plus wine and water for 15 euros. Because of the hotel design, it is not a good idea to stay here in the height of summer when the sleeping area could become uncomfortably warm.
Very friendly and helpful staff. good atmosphere and clean. easy walking distance of town centre. Not applicable
The hotel is very professionally run and the staff are charming and helpful. The rooms and the bathrooms are small, but very tasteful. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Very good conversion of 16c building attached to restored monastery. Nice public areas including bar and lounge. Helpful staff. Restaurant closed on day we stayed (Sunday) but no problem in finding meal in interesting old town. We tried hard to like this hotel, but the bathrooms and sleeping areas in the bedrooms are so cramped and uncomfortable that we wouldn't stay again.
An impressive building sympathetically renovated in wonderful surroundings, which provided the ideal backdrop for a very enjoyable stay. Almost every aspect was great. If I was pushed to provide constructive criticism, then I think that more careful selection of fruit for breakfast would be beneficial (ripeness and condition)
Beautiful building No lift, difficult stairs for an older person. Cold food in the dining rooom which had to be returned
Staff were extremely helpful and attentive Found the interior decor in the public areas much too dark and austere with the exception of the dinning room. Bedroom fine.
one night stopover
Spotless room, very friendly staff, and good food.
A traditional style, with modern aspects, eg free wifi; excellent value, welcoming staff. Well organised.
Friendly staff. Restaurant. Very basic room. Not very attractive area. Breakfast choice seemed to increase with the number of guests. Parking could be difficult.
we chose this hotel for a stop over on our journey from almeria to santander the main reason being we could take our dog in for the night,we spoke to others who used it for the same reason, and we were all very happy with the service to us and our pets that church clock !!!!!!!
we found the hotel staff excellent, very friendly and very helpful in our needs with the dogs, although the dogs are not allowed in the restaurant they are accommodated in the conservatory where you can have your meals with the dogs present, which we thought was very considerate of the hotel to have this arangement.
Friendly hotel, clean and as advertised, typical spanish feel to it.. Receptionist spoke english, very friendly man. Hot shower, fresh big towels, nice breakfast. The hotel room we stayed in had a slight smell possibly to do with drains, does happen in Spain, didn't really spoil our stay at all..
Very pleasant hotel with good, attentive staff. Food and drink reasonably priced. We slept with window open as bedroom was hot, but comfortable bed allowed some sleep. See comments below about outside noise. Car parking not far away but limited in numbers. Outside noise in late evening and early morning disturbed us, but the worst thing was the loud church clock which chimed the hours and the half-hours all through the night. We appreciate that this is not within the control of the hotel, but it reduced the pleasure of our stay.
