Desk Staff and Cleaning Staff very helpful Not noted
Clean hotel, comfortable beds and very quiet. The staff was nice. We stayed 2 nights and I wouldn't have minded if our stay was longer. There aren't many choices in this immediate area, but judging by the looks of the other hotel I saw, this is the best. Our room was at the end of the hotel, so maybe that was the culprit, but the wifi was terrible. It constantly dropped in and out to the point where it was effectively useless. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:30 and my wife and I got there just before 10 and they had already closed and were setting up for lunch. Ours and the key card of another guest stopped working on the 2nd day, which was a little annoying, but not that big a deal as it was easily reactivated.
It was a very comfortable ad pleasant experience. The rooms are modern and very clean.
Everything.... Was the softest bed ive slept on... Bad for the back.
The king bed is very comfortable. The internet is not fast enough to stream videos, and juices in breakfast is not that fresh except orange juice, waffle is firm like rock, little choice.
Location Road conditions in lot need improvement
nice view very very noisy doors, one rude front desk staff with attitude, unorganised management. secluded nothing within walking distance. issues with lifts
The beds were comfortable and had the fastest elevator I have ever seen. The view of mountains was nice. The pool and gym were very small. When u look at that beautiful exterior of the building u would think u were getting the best of everything for the money u spend. There is no security in the parking lot either..
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful view and very accommodating! Thank you!
The staff was good. The property was reasonably clean. The towels soft and the beds comfortable. The microwave and small fridge are a nice convenience. This is a very old property and it shows its age. Odd old smell. There is no elevator. If you travel with heavy suitcases, ask for a first floor, there is no help. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything in the next room. The A/C conked out for a bit and there are no screens in the windows so opening them was not an option. There is only a front desk clerk, no security; guests run rampant through the halls after leaving the on-site bar. Wedding guests woke us up every half hour while continuing their partying in the hallway. I'll pay more next time and stay at Homewood Suites or Marriott Residence. But if you're not too picky and need to save money, this will be a good fit.
Hotel is accommodating for pets. Price was reasonable. Bed was very comfortable. Was not told about pet rate. Hotel charged my credit card upon arrival and didn't tell me. Location could be better. Route 17 is a nightmare.
The proximity to our event and food, gas, etc was fantastic. The staff were amazing, as was breakfast. It was fantastic to have four pillows on a double bed! Not every hotel does that. Clean and comfy linens. Mattresses were on the north side of firm, but I'm a side sleeper and prefer a softer bed, so that's just me. The floors are not level, both first and second floors. The bathroom sloped down so you felt like you were falling when using the facilities.
Nobody entered my room while I was sleeping. That's about all I can think of t for the positives... The hall ways smelled like urine. The air conditioner was very loud. I had a room on the front of the building, and the traffic noise was terrible. The walls are very thin, and I could hear everyone's tv while I was trying to sleep (during normal sleeping hours), and I could hear people from nearby smoking rooms coughing loudly all night. Also the smell of smoke was fairly pervasive. I was not expecting the Ritz, just a clean quiet place to sleep. That is all. I was asked upon departure how everything was, and I mentioned to the gentleman at the front desk it was very loud and obnoxious, and he just said "oh, sorry about that, have a nice day".
Clean room, good restaurant in the hotel. The staff was rude, no elevator. They expected me to carry my heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs and did not offer to help. I ended up throwing my back out. Thanks for nothing.
Staff was great Near the highway
Very nice Hotel Staff :) Very comfort like home...
Staff was exceptionally friendly. We had our two yorkies with us and they were treated so nicely by the staff! It was a pleasure staying at the Homewood Suites - the rooms were so clean and comfortable. N/A
Hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, Monique in particular. Rooms are spacious and in relatively good condition. The general aesthetic was nice and seemed well maintained. Breakfast served daily was nice though the juices are too diluted. The rear of the hotel is alongside a freeway so rooms on the back side of the building come standard with the constant drone of freeway traffic, make sure to request a room in the front of the building. Bathrooms need maintenance and repairs... I wound up staying here several nights and thus stayed in 2 different rooms, both showers were in need of work but the first was pretty bad. The first room had a shower with previous damage filled in with what looked like bondo and then there was a hole in the top of the tub. The diverter did not seal properly so when trying to use the shower there was virtually no water pressure as water continued coming out of the tub spigot instead of just the shower head.
The room was clean. The staff had me take a freight elevator with a trolley cart to a dead end. I was unable to roll a trolley full of bags to my room because of the stair case. The place was poorly design They also could have told me to take my car around the building and carry my bags one flight up. That would have been a lot simpler. I will ever go back to that place.
Only needed it for one night so it was a goo value for the money
The hotel was great, i liked the rooms and everything it had to offer. i also liked the pool and how it was close to many shops if i needed anything down side was someone in the front desk. im not sure what her name was but she wore a black blazer. I think she needs work with her eyes, it kept rolling. Not very friendly, or welcoming. but that was the only person i encountered with an attitude. The other staff were pleasant, i had no other problems.
From the second I walked into the hotel I was greeted by a friendly woman named Janet at the front desk. She quicky helped me check in and gave me so much information about the hotel and my stat. She was so helpful and friendly it was amazing! Having bad experiences with hotel customer service before really made me appreciate her help. She is a great employee! My room was awesome. My date and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it was very comfortable overall. NO COMPLAINTS!
Window opened and had screen, so could have fresh air. Lumpy, low quality pillows. No elevator.
Mostly everything! the hotel was great, it was clean, it was modern, and the amenities were excellent!! I strongly did not like the front desk staff named Jackie. Very rude woman, in the front desk, who did the minimal in trying to help. Everyone else besides her was very kind and friendly. i would love to book at this place again, but there is no way i am dealing with her.
Great Hotel over all That i booked a certain type of room but the hotel itself DOES NOT go by third party reservations and gave me another type of room. WHAT IS THE POINT OF BOOKING THROUGH KAYAK, if they do not honor the bookings????? I have read the reviews and there are MANY MANY customers that have complained about the same thing, i was hoping i wouldnt encounter the problem but i did. VERY disappointing, WHY on earth would a hotel agree to be on THIRD PARTY BOOKING WEBSITES, if you dont HONOR ANYTHING THAT IS BOOKED FROM THEM???? kayak i suggest you take them out of your listing.
Divider in room, 2 tvs, whirl pool tub Room was not ready till 330. No elevator
The staff. We had a great check in with a wonderful woman who welcomed us better than anyone, and we do a lot of traveling. If there's anything you can do to praise the professional, efficient African American woman who checked us in, I'd appreciate that.
Clean, well-kept No bacon on the breakfast buffet
Great value, clean, newer decor. Excellent breakfast buffet. Some drunk hotel guests woke us. You can hear a lot from the hallway inside the hotel room.
The front desk lady who checked me in was so warm in welcoming me, offering the cookies for me and my family. Valerie in breakfast bistro is truly the sunshine everyone needs in the morning. Thanks for her bubbly personality to make me smile and want to come back to eat breakfast. Will love to come back to this hotel again.
Good location comfortable rooms Front desk not friendly at all. No attempt at being nice or helpful. Seemed annoyed that we were checking in. Lol
Amazing stay. Couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. The hotel was very, very clean, modern in style, beds were extremely comfortable and every staff member was sincerely friendly staff and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had a plethora of healthy choices. Vernard & Gus went above and beyond to assure our stay was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Staff and their value were great! Great breakfast! Only two small things; don't know if there is a way to deal with it. Excessive water pressure makes the shower very breezy which encourages the shower curtain to flap - allowing water to get out on the floor in the bathroom. The plumbing is a bit noisy overhead when in the bathroom.
The staff and hospitality was excellent. Breakfast was great. Beds were harder than the cheap Econo Lodge I stayed at 2 weeks ago.
Stayed for the 2014 spartan race. Great accommodation, cleanliness and comfort. Nice size fridge and microwave too. Love that they give you warm choc chip cookies at the check in!! A great choice of hotel.
Overall good experience Air conditioner unit was a bit loud
The man who checked us in was very nice and quick. He was very nice to my young daughter. Especially when he found out it was her first time in a hotel. The young woman who checked us out was also very nice and help and also quick. The entire staff was very and greeted us constantly. They said the wifi was free but when we tried to log on to it with our phones and my daughter's ipad it wouldn't work. When we tried to follow the steps they left in the room to use it, it just kept bringing us to a website to pay for it. Also the restaurant connected to it didn't have much of a kids selection. So we had to go out for dinner. But the breakfast buffet there was very good.
Very clean. Housekeeping did a great job each day there. Beds are very uncomfortable.
3 night stay. I didn't wake up with any funny rashes, so I had that going for me, which is nice. Pretty quiet...if you like white noise (I do), the heater/air conditioner will work perfectly for you. Really all you can expect from a rate like this is a clean room, which I got. Pillows were amazing, for some reason. Mattress was pretty hard, but I was always so tired I didn't care. TV is still a tube (non flat screen), which I didn't even know you could still find, outside of a garage sale. Wifi was consistently bad, but you shouldn't expect much from a completely open network with no password. Who knows what people are doing on there. Breakfast was a joke, but again you get what you pay for. And here, you pay for cereal, toast, and Jimmy Dean. McDonalds is 10 steps away...and is actually healthier than Jimmy Dean. Then again what isn't?
Everything. Fantastic value! Super-8 is generally the low-end - one-star hotel. This one - Mahwah - was easily a level two-star or better; just as good as Best Western, but half the price.
