Room, including bathroom/shower, was very clean and spacious with all necessary facilities available. Every member of staff that we came into contact with (restaurant, bar, reception, fitness/pool) were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant choice of meals was limited.
Only the fact that there was a huge stain on the carpet in our room.
clean with goo sevice it so far from the city for business or for entertainment
location was very good for business in Dudley no problems
Space and facilities in the room and locality
Spacious bedrooms, good leisure facilities (although we didn't have time to use them) and situated close to the Merry Hill shopping centre. Good parking facilities. Wi Fi not free. The bar area was noisy due to a large group of young people (possibly from an event taking place at the hotel).
Room was very large, great views, and comfortable. The WiFi (which wasn't free) failed at 8pm, and didn't get resolved until 11:30pm. The hotel did, however, refund the charge.
This was our second stay at the hotel, great location for our shopping trip to Merry Hill. The breakfast was excellent.
Needed to recieve some documents and front desk were very helpfull
room was large and very comfortable breakfast was not good at all and the spa facility was very untidy
Fast check in, warm well decorated room no tv remote :-(
the convenience to the railway station ,area ,public houses, traffic free environment, location of room
It was very central, next to bus and train station The outside made you a bit worried about the hotel you had picked but once inside it was OK.
Location to train station and town centre
The hotel was easy to find from the train station
The room was very cold, there was no isolation, and it was freezing outside!
Proximity to the train station. When we got to the room there was someone sleeping in there, that situation was not comfortable at all. During the entire stay one of the lifts was out of order, two of the lobby public phones were out of order. It looked like the hotel was about to close. The cleanliness of the room and corridors was also not acceptable.
Near to railway station On initial booking requested a smoking room however when checked in they gave a non smoking room and would not then change it.
The location mainlly suited our requirements The Breakfast very Bland
It was in the center It is very old hotel, you need to fight with the staff for central heating. Amazing they are turning on the central heating just for an hour, then you need to shout again.
The shower was nice n relaxing The toilet water kept rising and took ages to go down when flushed
i found the staff and facilities at the novotel very very good and would stay again
Location to city centre, cleanliness, breakfast and value for money nothing really
Easy access to city centre, great value for money, reasonable bar prices, great place to stay if you are going to the civic centre,we went to a boxing show, and to see ricky hatton in the hotel bar having a meal made it more memorable.
Comfort of the room
The food in the restaurant/bar was up with the best I have eaten and I stay in hotels every week Difficult to switch the taps over to shower mode
Staff very unhelpfull, breakfast trays from that morning still outside rooms in the evening, swimming pool was dirty, pricing/terms not clear when booking
Extremely comfortable beds, lovely bar and reception area, ideal location for the Brian McKnight gig at the civic hall Food ordered at the bar was very expensive and the quality was very disappointing
position of hotel at center
Excellent hotel with excellent customer service.Staff very friendly and an ideal location -close to the station.Room was very comfortable and breakfast/food was excellent.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service was exceptionally quick even though there was a large party in the hotel at the time. The breakfasts were delicious - a real treat. The mattresses were rather lumpy, but I turned the mattresses and it was much better and worth the effort.
Got the room cheap through Active Hotels so it was good value
quiet and comfortable thermostat on shower did not work stuck on boiling hot when asked for bill the initial bill was not based on the rate booked through yourselves but this was corrected without any fuss.
location and comfort of room
Nice hotel set in a pleasant grounds with good road links into Wolverhampton. Room was a good side well equiped and comfortable. The bathroom was in a very poor state with patched up tiling, plastic strips around the bath and on the ceiling apparently covering up gaps after a partial refit. The tiles was filthy with black mound in the grout, around the taps and mixer shower. The extractor fan filter was thick with dust and the shower curtain rod continually fell down. For a hotel of this standard the bathroom was an utter disgrace.
The friendliness of the staff especially on the reception desk upon arrival. Mould in the bath/show
Clean, Tidy and friendly staff. Easy to find and well located for the area. Lovely club sandwich in the bar! Shower extractor fan was constant, the main bathroom one went on and off with light ok but one over shower 'hummed' all night. Car park had lights but only ones nearest to reception were on (or working) making it very dark for late arrivals (as I was).
location to himley hall. disco loud early hoursof sunday morning ?
Unfortunately the beds were hard and uncomfortable. The room was cold, the heater did not work in our room(129). Despite reporting this nothing was done. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay.
The room was lovely and the location nice Not ideal if you do not have a car because the surounding area was not easily accessible! Raj was great on the mornings as the waiter Some of the reception staff were rude and disrespectful We were two young ladies staying and they did not seem to like this
nothing rooms were not clean, insect larvae in the bedsheets and dirty bathroom. Staff were not helpful or apologetic.
No facility for using laptop - either as a dial-in facility or wireless
Beautifull setting My daughter and I shared a twin bedded room and found the beds to be extremely narrow , we are both slim people so I can cannot image how a large person would not have fallen out of the bed !
The hotel was very pleasant, decor was bright and new and breakfast was good, Didn't like the spa and pool being closed for refurbishment.
There was a function going on at the hotel and the room that I was in had bass of music pumping until 1am. Not the best if you have a 6 month old baby. The staff did offer to move us, but at 11 o'clock at night with luggage and baby and having already gone to bed we declined the offer.
It was a lovely hotel and the room was very nice and the price was very good definitely worth every penny... Will definitely stay there again :) Nothing to complain about
One of the best Asian restaurants I have eaten in Very slow check in process with only one receptionist who also had to deal with groups booking their Christmas Parties..
standard of leisure facilities was exceptional and the hotel represented excellent value for money, would definately recomend.
Nothing Poor acess to rooms i.e. no lift, cot we had ordered had no mattress or bed linen, room was dark with dated furniture, view of a skip from window and the spa was closed. Not what we had expected from a four star Ramada hotel.
Comfortable for the price toilet in the room was filthy
Beautiful Setting, lovely views, pleasant village within walking distance. The room was large incorporating a sofa, had excellent magazine choice, good tea & coffee facilities & high-quality bath robes. We were on the ground floor. The rooms above are incredibly noisy due to the constant creaking floors when people are walking about & this disturbed us greatly. I forgot my hair-washing products but the bathroom supplies only had shampoo, soap & shower gel, no conditioner.
Excellent standards in the rooms and en-suites. Staff gave a very warm welcome, and felt that every effort would be made to meet our needs. No bad points
The decor and ambience oozed class. The room was first class.
From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure, the staff attention was excellent and the manner respectful, helpful and polite. The attention to room cleanliness was exceptional. It was peaceful and quiet at all times and free of any noisy children. The standard of the food and its presentation was second to none A very minor point. Given it was Summer, I gues it would have been good to see the croquet pitch free of small debris and thus more tempting to try.
Parking convenient. Check in at reception smooth. The room was spacious, warm and clean. Bathroom clean/hot water/adequate number of good size towels/robes. Became quite hot overnight-couldn't see how to turn down radiators and windows hard to open.
the food was excellent, the room well appointed and the staff courteous and helpful. No.
This is a smashing hotel. In beautiful setting away from the madding crowds (and traffic) this is a peaceful and relaxing hotel. Well maintained and up to date the staff are very attentive. The hotel is good for walking and getting away from it all but the bright lights of Birmingham are only a short drive away. Well recommended. The evening meal was a bit of an issue. I need to stay of dairy products and the only starter alternative they could offer was a salad. The portions are on the small size and the prices are not!! However, I would go recommend this hotel - make your own mind up about the restaurant!!
The staff was excellent. We enjoyed a very, very nice dinner in the restaurant. Each plate was a little painting!
Happy and friendly atmosphere and most attentive staff. Excellent dining room and very good food. I feel sorry for smokers who have to stand by the entrance to smoke. a facility as big as this should be able to find a more suitable area.
Very large beautiful room and super bathroom with jaccusi. The view was the best. Some of the complimentary fruit was past eatable and wasn't restocked. The bedspread had a noticable stain on the underside. The roomservice cheese plate was a huge dissapointment.
The room was nice and facilities were great.
Good facilities, including use of leisure centre
The bed was just not comfortable.
Lovely staff and the sausages at breakfast were yummy. Bed a tiny bit hard
breakfast was cold and disorganised
Staff No video / DVD
clean hotel, quiet location, good cooked breakfast i did read the reviews of this hotel and the only negative thing was the bed, which proved to be correct, the bed in room 5 was rock hard with no give giving two night uncomfortable sleep,i did report this on deaparture
My husband and I were most impressed with the hotel and thought that the service, food and freindiness of the staff were excellent. This was our second stay at the hotel and would safely recommend the hotel to anyone considering a stay. Absolutely none all expectations were met and exceeded.
On a very cold weekend it was really warm inside. The staff were very friendly. The bathroom needed a bit of a re-vamp
Good wine list. Efficient staff in bedrooms and on reception. Grounds / location excellent Food was good but why not leave vegetable dish on table.
The staff were excellent, especially the Bar Staff in the evening on arrival. He was extremely polite and helpful throughout. The room could possibly of been a little cleaner as there were a fair few cobwebs scattered around!
the room was superb and stunning the location, the food was great and the hotel staff very helpfull, the bar was frienly and prices reasonable
The site next to the river. The comfortable rooms. The friendly staff The great atmosphere in the pub. The excellent breakfast. The Wye Valley Brewery Hereford Pale Ale - the best beer I have ever tasted - and I've tasted a lot!!!!! Minor quibble - staff smoking while they checked us out.
The beautiful view of River Severn and the wonderful food in restaurant Had to leave hotel at 0830 but unable to obtain cooked breakfast before this 0900
Nicely situated very quiet cutte country hotel with moderen clean rooms.
View, silence, helpful staff, central location, facilities in the room; the food Late start to breakfast [9am]; lack of car parking facilities
Excellent bar and restaurant, with a 'locals' atmosphere, both staff and customers made us feel part of Bewdley.
location by the river, friendly staff, good food lack of directions made it difficult to find, lack of a comfortable chaire to sit on
Friendly staff; good pub atmosphere
The food is very imaginative, with the menu changing to reflect the seasons. All ingregients are locally sourced. Breakfast only available from 8am. If one has an early meeting in Birmingham, as I often do, then breakfast is very rushed.
the restaurant served good meals and the service was very good the room was dusty, cobwebs in the window, we asked for the room to be cleaned, but the bedroom was dusted but the bathroom was not touched, so overall not good at all, when complaining we was told we had booked to last room, 1st or last room they should all be as clean
Fully accessible room. Able to take our dog. Lovely restaurant Car parking difficult if arriving late evening Friday & Saturday
Good value great em real ale
Hosts could not be more helpful and freindly - they really put themselves out for us. Some of the bedroom furniture was a little tired and dated
Friendly hotel and reception Room right on the road, and hence noisy, so did not sleep.
Very friendly welcome. Helpful staff. Good food It could be said room decor is a little dated, but that does not detract from overall experience.
Good location Very attentive and friendly staff Food is excellent The Inn has a great atmosphere - good quality live music at night. Large clean bedroom Small portable television in room (we had been put in one of the cottages at the rear of the inn, which was great) Water pressure on shower was poor, and if we tried to turn it up the shower cut out.
The friendly welcome and chat from the owners. The excellent breakfasts. The wonderful meals available in the evenings - absolutely top class. Sometimes a long wait for food, although worth it when it arrived.
Big rooms We felt the hotel was becoming very dated with the general decor and appearance.
The restaurant and the Maitre D were excellent Upgarde the self service tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms for example supply small cafetieres
The location and setting, the comfort and the welcoming staff.
A very nice hotel with good old fashioned values. Helpful staff & agood menue at the bar
The dinner in the restaurant was excellent
the staff and the food were excellent, the setting was delightful the bed was too soft
The restaurant service and food were very good
Good standard accommodation in terms rooms and public spaces, backed up my excellent food.
Lovely, comfortable hotel, ideal for our overnight stay. Great views over farmland: countryside relaxing and quiet The double-aspect bedroom was vast with an en-suite bathroom and built-in wardrobe. Dinner and breakfast were substantial and attentively served. Why don't hotel rooms have the only electrical socket closer to the (full length) mirror? And arriving early on a Sunday evening, it was disappointing that we had to enter through the very busy bar area. Only later did we find there was a separate entrance to the accommodation.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the accommodation spacious clean and comfortable. Generous helpings of excellent unpretentious food. The room was a little bit noisy from the kitchen fans and the function room but it didn't spoil our enjoyment.
Good location near to Bridgnorth - clean tidy room - good sized breakfast - ease of access from car park
Food ,Room ,Location Noise from the kitchen from our room
The carvery is excellent, rooms clean Our room was above the kitchen so some noise when we went to tbed.
Standard of the accomodation / Food / Friendy & Efficient staff None that come to mind
A very nice Inn,very friendly staff lovely rooms and something on the menu for everyone. No bad points from us.
Room superb, breakfast excellent, lovely rural location Poor tv reception
Very good value for money, clean and welcoming. There were none ...
A very nice place to stay. Plenty of car parking, friendly staff, nicely appointed room. Quiet location outside town. Hotel had lost our booking reservation, fortunately they had spare room for us which they quickly arranged with no fuss.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large spacious room with all normal amenities, which was nicely decorated. Very good value for money.
Excellent resturant - served the best steak I've had in ages. No complaints.
very good value, staff very helpful.
The food, room None that I can think of.
Good location for sightseeing. Excellent staff, great food, comfortable room. Nothing to dislike.
Friendly staff and good food. Second chair in the room would have been nice.
Best breakfast for a long time - staff very friendly and attentive - good value for money - powerful showe - well located for ironbridge and other attractions - made all the better because of crystal clear november weekend nothing as it was good value for money
Our stay was faultless. The accommodation was excellent as were the staff and breakfast. The food in the Steakhouse was excellent and very good value. None
Friendly staff, good food and excellent room There were none
Superb rooms - huge with very up to date decor. Very very friendly staff, they simply can't do enough for you. Lovely contemporary pub. Superb breakfasts. We didn't stay long enough to try the steaks but they looked fantastic. None at all
location was superb and the staff very helpful and friendly. The shower was excellent always one of my key assessments of a good hotel.
The hotel is in a lovely building and setting. The owners are welcoming and helpful and it's rare not to have anything to critisise!
The staff were welcoming and friendly. Everywhere was clean and tidy with furnishings to a good standard. We were not given the room we had booked (Marsh) but the room offered (Bouguet) was very acceptable.
nice gardens and rooms The only really friendly people we meet were the owners of the hotel . the others employees wer below expectations
The staff were excellent , the food was superb , the ambience was very relaxing . There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room .
The decor and period furniture is beautiful in this period house. Owners and staff were friendly and warm and could not do enough for you. Restaurant food excellent. The stay was excellent and throughly recommended to anyone. Country setting around Kinver and Enville is beautiful.
Nice location. Excellent shower. Was overcharged on arrival and had to wait until departure to resolve. The advice was that I would obtain a refund 'once what I had spent in the hotel had been deducted'! As a result I chose not to spend any money on any service. There was unseemly rush to get my credit card and take the money up-front. There was a Medieval Banquet for 80 people being held on the night of my arrival. I had not been told about this when I phoned the hotel to confirm my booking. Had I known this I might well have choosen another hotel. As a result the restauraunt was effectively closed to residents that evening and the suggestion was that I drove in to Kinver to find alternative sources of dinner. Not good at all.
Pretty and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff I think 10.00am checkout on a Sunday is too early and our room was cold when we checked in at 4pm.
Beautiful hotel. Well presented obviously a labour of love. Not too formal. Friendly and welcoming. No Meals on a Sunday night. No hot drink making facilities in the room. Though the staff will provide hot drinks on request.
