Our hostess was very kind and, although she spoke little English, did her level best to help us with directions, restaurant recommendations etc. The "specialty cake" was delicious.
Very neat, clean and tidy and a good breakfast.
Nice and very clean rooms, tasteful breakfast, family atmosphere.
Very good for this money. Exellent, if you travel by car to visit Dresden. It's really 5 minutes drive to the center of the city. Good breakfast. Owners were friendly. It's not very easy to get to the city without a car.
Onwers spoke English. Informative about eating locations. Showed me my room. Bed sheets not long enough. I am tall 6 feet 9 inches. Internet would have been nice in room.
The owner is very nice and helpful (however, he has just sold the hotel and won't work there within a few weeks) ; The breakfast is good value for money (6 eur) ; Dresden town center is an easy 10 mn drive away. Don't go to this hotel for the swimming-pool only. It is pretty small.
Quite, except in wind Very basic.
staff eager to assist
Perfect location: from your room you overlook the valey wherein Dresden is located. There is no trafic in the street (dead-end road) and you can park your car in front of the hotel, free of charge. The atmosphere of the hotel is very family-like, the decoration is simple and pure, same time very welcoming. The terras is perfect for a glass of wine in the evening, looking over the skyline of Dresden. And the night is dead still - sleep well. nothing to mention
The hotel staff was amazing! They went through the trouble of setting out plastic plates and cups for our kids, without us even asking! They allowed us to up-grade to a bigger and better room at a reduced rate, when our original room was too small. We would gladly stay here again!!! The fancy shower (had multiple shower heads) didn't work. We also had to "accidentally" find the surge protector to switch the jacuzzi bath tub on.
Friendly and helpfull staff. Nice and modern room with lovely view. Good (wide!) bed and very quiet situated. Meals were good and moderate priced. No smoking in the bar, staff a bit too quick with serving meals and courses. Towels could be changed a bit more often.
no more restaurant for dinner
Good signs pointing to Hotel (otherwise it would be difficult to find). Helpful staff. Too many steps for us Americans (older - & overweight) - to the top floor.
The staff at Heidehof has been very pleasant, accommodating and helpful. The location is beautiful with great views of the surrounding rolling hills, green fields and cute villages. The food was excellent and the presentation charming. This is a great place for anyone looking for an authentic German atmosphere. Bottom line - we LOVED it!! We came to Heidehof by public transportation and that created some challenges but we adjusted and then did not mind it too much. For people who come by car, the place is perfect.
food, silance, non smoking area in the restaurant
Very friendly staff. Sauna was great
large room, quiet, friendly staff air in room was not fresh, had to open windows for a long time; wanted us to charge extra for extra bed, while booking.com wrote it was for free for children under 9. After showing the reservation, they agreed and we did not pay extra.
Relaxing environment, very friendly and helpful staff Could improve the TV set and add internet conexion
No problem with checking in late at night, very clean rooms, diet crispbread & fruit available for breakfast
The hotel was clean, the room size and comfort were appropriate. Breakfast was as expected.
Kammer Atmosphere Super Kitchen, not so far from high way nothing
Very Nice Hotel, very quite environment and only 15 minutes by car to the centre of Dresden (cheap parking can be found at only 5 minutes from the centre)
Nicely close for the target of our visit in Dresden. We can't complain, people where friendly, especially at the breakfast. Else we didn't spend much time there.
The hotel was very well situated on a nice and quiet street, quite near the center ot the city. Most importantly the price was very good. The rooms were also very well heated, which was important, considering the cold in December. The bathroom was pretty and clean. Very helpfull staff, who answered all our questions.
Nice and quiet place, nice people, very good food They do not speak english
Price cold, no heating despite only 50 F outside. Only one blanked. No breakfast prepared on Sunday and finally no wireless internet despite being advertised. I payed for 2 nights but left next morning
The room was nice, facilities were adequate, but the best part was the price! Breakfast was quite nice. Although we arrived at the designated time of check-in, there wasn't a living soul around and the phone was not answered. The staff arrived only about half a hour later. nobody spoke english!!! So communication was very difficult.
Very nice Staff, very, very clean and cosy hotel with family character
the room very clean with free parking and wifi access; the breakfast as buffet: salami, cheese, eggs, fruits & sweets = very good
Nice building with a good breakfast. The beds are very soft. The rooms by the street have a lot of road noise. The restaurant guests sometimes fill the parking spaces.
Wonderful place for a family to stay for a visit to Dresden, and you can't beat the price. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. It was a short, easy drive to the Dresden center. We had the bungalow, which is a small freestanding house with toilet, shower, kitchen, living room, and sleeping room. Beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. There is a grocery/bakery and some restaurants within close driving distance. We would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was very clean and welcoming. The owners were friendly and very helpful with directions to Dresden, which is about a 10 minute drive by car. A note about the location, if you are there in the winter, it is in this populated area in the foothills above Dresden--snow removal is fine, but this Pension is off a narrow side street so driving up to it was easier than going downhill to it, we recalculated our gps to do so. There was only a tub, no shower in the bathroom. Though the tub had a long hose sprayer, it would have been nice to have a shower curtain around the tub in order to take a shower, especially when you want to get up and go in the morning. Also, the bed closest to the windows was a bit cold, even turned up the heat before going to bed, but was a bit chilled during the night.
It is only 5 minutes drive from downtown Dresden. The area is quiet, however the street is extremely narrow, so be careful. The room can easily accomodate 4 to 6 people, as it has a small dining area with a couch too. Tiny kitchen w/ fridge/stove top/coffee maker/utensils/ available, too, so one can bring food and put in the fridge so the value for the money is great! Shower w/ toilet available. It is no Hilton, but for 50 Euroes per night, it is well worth it. Make sure you bring cash, because you will be required to upon arrival--cash only. Breakfast is optional for 5 Euros. Will probably stay there again if I were to visit Dresden again!!! It is a second floor of a house, not an individual building as I thought when I reserved a bungalow. Had a bit of funky oudor that could be easily eliminated by plugging in an air freshener the night before you expect guests.
Each one of us has a small dog (up to 8 kg), on reservation was written no extra charges for pet, and owner wanted to charge us.
homely feel no wifi
like to visit a village in 70's I have wait 20 minutes for check in, because the house ower was not in the house.
It was very friendly, almost like coming to someone's summerhouse.. The rules and instructions were only in german. However, I could have asked the owner, he speaks fine English.
