relaxing, very little traffic, food and services were all fantastic, and the staff were all very helpful. the only thing that was not to my pleasing was the carpet on the floors, I found them in halls to be dirty and smelling.
Loved the spa facility, and the good variety of choice of treatment. The meals were excellent. The room and bathroom were very clean. There was even a kettle in the room with different teas. It was very quiet, so we got some well needed rest. There should at least be a fan provided in the rooms for the summer. It got very hot in the middle of the night, even with the window open.
Excellant facilities staff helpful. English menue available None
The staff and food were excellent and the hotel was very comfortable.
Friendly staff, good indoor swimming pool and table tennis centre. Restaurant and 10 pin bowling offered great value for money. Well deserved its 4 star rating.
all the facilities
Staff were curteous and helpful. The setting of the hotel was beautiful. The kitchen closed at 10pm and the waitress had not made us aware of this until we ordered dessert and were told we were too late. There were no tea making facilities in the room.
Very nice hotel, located in a beautiful, small German Village with an old castle overlooking the village. Exceptional pool and spa facilities and a very good breakfast buffet included in the room rate. Free on site parking. Great location for a wide variety of walks and cycle rides.
Great location. Staff very helpful despite language limitations (mine and theirs). Lots to do at the hotel and great surroundings.
The stay was nice, the hotel team is frendly, the location is in a beautiful, the room is nice and clean No
loved the bier garten next door and the friendly staff and the local people reception was dated and gave the wrong impression of the clean large bedrooms
Super clean rooms that are well appointedParking includedexcellent restaurant Check in staff said breakfast was included and then it was an expensive $12 Euro extra per person at check out. Ouch.
Rooms oK Yes At check-in the receptionaist behind desk indicated breakfast was included. I topld her I thought not. I asked her to double check and she confirmed yes. So when I check out I was charged 44Euro for breakfast. I was upset that I was misled after I que
Friendly and helpful at front desk and esp mr at restaurant inside hotel!!!
We enjoyed the old town, but were a bit disappointed that the castle was under repairs We had specificaly asked for a non-smoking room, but were taken to smoking rooms. In the end, we opted for a downgrade of rooms and the staff did manage to find a non-smoking room in this category
Modern design and cleanliness. Easy to find close to train station Staff not overly helpful or knowledgable of tourists' needs. Seedy feel of train station opposite. Long walk to old town.
The hotel is new and right beside teh train and bus stations. Only a 20 minute walk to the merging of the Rhine and Mosel rivers.
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, breakfast perfect. Hotel not easy to find just even with a gps, behind a huge bus station. I was just 20 m from the entrance and couldn't see it.
Very clean; nearby parking; just at the bus station
This is a great hotel. The rooms are extremely nice. What a pleasant surprise! The smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. I think their separate smoking area does not work. Should be strictly no smoking all over the hotel.
Very big room and very nice (but little expensive) restaurant.
The lovely room, decorated nicely with a view of the Rhine River. The service at check in was extremely slow.
The restaurant offered excellent meals at very reasonable prices and provided a good buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Super location. Excellent Room. Quality restaurant None
Very clean, comfortable room with a wonderful view. Lovely location. All staff excellent, friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves delicious meals. Good choice of breakfast, (although a little pricey)Changing facilities in the swimming pool. We would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Internet charges were a bit much and smoking permitted in the lobby.
The outstanding view and the room itself See statement above
Very comfortable room with a river view.Nice breakfast. A slight disappointment was that the breakfast buffet differed depending on how busy the hotel was. i.e. no scrambled eggs/bacon available on 'quiet' mornings.Given that there is a charge for the breakfast this was a bit of a letdown.Travellers should also be aware of the fact that the hotel is opposite Koblenz and unless you eat in the hotel in the evening you have to move across. That said, once you work out possibilities , not too bad.
Good service and food. Value for money.
the Diehl's hotel place near the river, it made me quite relzx no, air conditioner. its quite hot.
central location extremley friendley & profesional efficient staff
Breakfast is ok, International hotel Creating a new building at the opposite
the phone was not working in the room and the tech would only fix it in the next day
The water for tea, coffee from the burco was not hot enough - sometines only warm
Good service when we needed to change room for a less noisy one We first got a room on 9th floor that had a high level humming noise, impossible to sleep in
The staff and servers were very friendly and helpful. Our bathroom needed some work. The shower handle fell off every time you tried to turn the water on. There was mildew on the tile in the shower and the drain did not work very well and didn't look very clean.
Welcoming, helpful and accomodating staff. Construction of a new hotel was taking place right next door to our hotel which resulted in disturbance. The overall experience was affected would however recommend if there's no construction.
reception staff were helpful ran out of some breakfast items early; waitress at dinner hard to find when not attending to empty tables - only 3 people in restaurant; dirty glasses outside the door - no clean ones inside.
This is an excellent hotel, with multilingual courteous desk staff and a recent refit. The breakfast is outstanding (especially on Sunday), and the hotel staff cannot be friendlier or more helpful. My travelling companion had to eat lunch in the restaurant, and the order was wrong, not great quality, and the service argumentative and surly. Best avoided for food during the day.
I really enjoyed my stay. When I got there, front staff welcomed me with smile and gave me a good scenery room where I could see river. And It was under construction out there, but I couldn't hear the noise in the room. Beautiful room, clean bathroom, convenient espresso machine and delicious breakfast. Everything was perfect. Like I said, Everything was perfect.
The location is closed to the pier and the Deutsche Eck.
It was very clean. Lots of parking available (free). The design was modern but cute. I liked the check-in machine, so we could check-in after hours. Instead of a key, the door used an electronic PIN code, so we didn't have to worry about losing a key. Internet was available. I also liked that they provided an extra blanket, so we didn't get cold.
Excellent B&B. Good location at the city entrance, walking distance to the historical center. Good shower. Good price. Comfortable and clean room with TV, A/C, telephone, etc. Breakfast is expensive at 6,90. But there is a shopping center nearby, with a supermarket, it’s a good alternative to eat cheaper.
Very clean, nice hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to shops, restaurants, and the train station.
Hotel was typical Germanic efficiency without the room being particularly remarkable. Receptionist was extremely helpful; car parking was convenient, and the distance to walk to the town centre took only 15 minutes. Whilst the hotel was more than adequate for an overnight stop, it would not appeal for a longer length of stay.
Comfortable, not too expensive, clean and ordered room/common areas, amiability of the staff, the breakfast buffet was diversified and consequent Location of the hotel: Its location makes it difficult to find, even with a map.
Price and friendly staff
Convenience to the city centre.Staff were welcoming and efficient. The Hotel was bright and clean looking. More towels would have been appreciated.Pillows were insufficent, but were quickly added to on request.
Good clean hotel within easy access to local attractions Room too hot even on low temp setting. Staff not aware of local facilities such as restaurants and international money exchange.
I am spoiled with nice hotels, and I was really impressed with B&B hotel - I did not expect that it is so nice, very clean, new furniture, new repair work. Staff is very friendly and helpful- I forgot a golden ring in the room after check out, few hours later they help me to find it! The hotel is not far from the center, around 10 min by walk, when you explore the city, it does not really matter. We did not hear any noise from the big road after the hotel. I would recommend the hotel as a good value for money, very clean and cosy hotel.
Brand new hotel. Everything works perfectly. Polite and efficient reception staff. Not so easy to find it, because of its location in a complicated roads junction. But once you get out of the traffic mess, it's at 15 minutes walk to city centre.
It was direct near the main station, the room and the bathroom was enormous and relatively clean. The breakfast and the dinner were quite good.
The hotel is central & it is easy to reach the town centre & other points of interest. one of staff extremely rude & unhelpful
Very central, but adequately sound-proofed. Walking distance to many sights. Friendly staff. Good restaurant/bar across the road. Furniture and fittings very run-down and/or in disrepair (though beds were comfortable enough), questionable cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Friendly and accomodating staff, right next to the train station, adequate breakfast, and a good value if you're just looking for a cheap place to stay. I don't know what the complainers on this site were expecting for 40 Euro per night. Buckingham Palace? Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Quit your limey whining and buck up if you want a 4 star hotel. It's a little worn out, kind of like british dental work.
The hotel is very well located for shopping, sight seeing, restaurants and the train station. I didn't like having no towels for two days and waiting over an hour for a member of staff to some up. I also don't like being sworn at when trying to pay a bill with a credit card.
Location. It did not seem very clean. The sheets were dirty. The rooms need the renovations, specially the shower.
the staff were very friendly its quite old, needs updating.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. Clean but oudated in style. The price is reasonable and it is centralise. The hotel is very out of style, the carpet need changing, no toileteriies. No remote control for T.V and the heater was not working properly.
Everything was okay compared with the price. The hotel was good but seemed to be a little bit worn down.
Very friendly and helpful staff who were happy to serve breakfast at 06.00 on our last day to enable us to catch a very early trainBreakfast was excellent and very filling. Stay was good value for money and enjoyable. Lack of shower curtain and shower head that could not be attatched to the wall.
staff where helpful, breakfast was brilliant plenty of choice, beds where very comfortable meals in the evening where very expensive 25 euro for buffet not including drinks, bar menu was rubbish, not much choice and quiet expensive too. local food is definately worth it
Great hotel, good restaraunt, amazing views.
Superb view from 10th floor! Excellent breakfast! The best all our holiday!
A True 4 star business hotel. Excellent value for the money the room was spotless, the hotel staff very helpful. The location was excellent for sightseeing of the Rhein/Mosel Region. $20 euro breakfast was not included in the price.
Away from the center of the city nestled on top a hill. Nice view. We booked a Leisure Deluxe room. Rooms are listed as follows: On Wyndham Site: Business Room (30 sqm) Junior Suite (37 sqm) Standard Double (18 sqm) Standard Single (18 sqm) Suite (70 sqm) Suite Deluxe (85 sqm) Superior Double (22 sqm) Triple Room (52 sqm) Notice, the only place the word “Deluxe” exists is the "Suite Deluxe" which is 85 sqm! When we arrived, we were told we would be given an upgrade of a room as our room type was not available. We were given a Triple Room. How can we be upgraded if we booked the best room they had? After complaining about the room, we were told that they only had 2 different room types: standard and business. The business room was the same as a triple. After showing the staff their website, they confirmed that it is misleading but that there was nothing they could do. They had nothing else to offer. One staff member said, if they had a suite, they would give it to us. So I proceeded to go online to find that I could still book a Junior Suite. The room was supposed to have a “deep soaking tub”. We got a 80cm x80cm shower. I'm still scratching from a bedbug bite. Mattress was sagging (we got 2 twin beds and booked a king). The room and balcony needed paint. On the balcony the paint was actually flaking off. The shower faucet was old and deteriorated. The radiator hadn't been dusted off in months. The safe was so small that you couldn't even fit a netbook... no key anyway. The sink was installed lower than code. The pillows were several years old. The curtains would not close. And we were given no maid service the first day because we left the room around noon. 4 stars? Don't go there!
It was an affordable hotel with good service and a nice view. It was a considerable distance from Koblenz
The food was excellent and the room was the best i had ever had.
It was clean and the view was lovely from our room That there is no swimming pool - everywhere there are signs around the hotel that say SPA or thermal spa - and the swimming pool is empty in a state of disrepair - however the countryside next to the hotel is very nice.
Very comfortable hotel. rooms very clean. Helpfull staff. Good location near Koblenz. Nice garden.
Staff should be fluent in English. The rooms should have air co.
We enjoyed our stay because the staff was very friendly and accomodatimg. The hotel is very nice, the room was very clean, and the breakfast had a good variety. The breakfast was costly if you are not a big eater.
The staff was extremely helpful in pointing out places to go and things to see. The rooms were very pleasant and comfortable.
great location good breakfast too early check out time staff does not speak english fluently
The hotel is conveniently located near the shopping areas and Deutsches Eck, Since we were interested in visiting Koblenz' Christmas Market, it was an excellent choice.. Bathroom was very small.
Charming olde world style - staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast room charming and selection more than adequate. Use of Internet most helpful. Position in the city excellent for sight seeing, access to the Rhine Ferry and all points of interest.
Location to Rhine. Ideal for short stop over Severe step up to shower / toilet cubicle
convenience to the old town and the Rhein Boats could do with a mini bar and /or tea's made/ coffee
Excellent location; fabulous breakfast
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, greeting you as you came and went from your room. For the price we paid for the room I have no complaints.
Very convenient for old town. Lovely breakfast room, tastefully decorated in keeping with original style. Excellent breakfast.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room location was excellent. No air conditioning
We loved our stay at Häckers Kurhotel. The hotel is placed in Bad ems a really small town, and it felt like you were seperated from the rest of the world. Time stod still. The hotel itself was wonderful, the staff was really really serviceminded and the breakfast was excellent...So if you are looking for a hotel and surroundings to completely relax in- this is the place..
Staff and Breakfast. This is an old resort slowly coming to an end. Terrible furniture, worst sheets. One room smelled, another extremely dark (had to upgrade it). Bathrooms were fine. Only for older people interested in hot spring.
one of the best spa hotels I ever visited
Excellent breakfasts, good location Parking was a problem, particularly for my disabled wife
Old fashioned spa-hotel, very atmospheric. Good spa and sauna facilities. Bathroom had a stale smell; needed airing.
We loved the Spa and Welness. Room was very nice and breakfast excellent. A place to relax. Nice view also from the room.
The pool and the Sauna Landschaft - the beautiful setting of the hotel. We loved the Sauna Landschaft, but it was closed one day, and we find it strange that nakedness should be compullsory (seems a very strange German wish for strict rules) - anyway neither we nor several others stripped our swimsuits!. We came mainly for the Offenbach Festival Concert, but we thought it strange that the restaurant doesnt adapt to the times of the concerts: no way to have dinner at the hotel before or after concert. An improvement would also be to have easy access to Internet even without bringing a laptop. But we had a lovely time! Karl Johan Danell
Friendly staff, good food, good value for money Not bad as such, clearly refurbishment is underway - but my room had dated look
Everything is excellent...I would recommend this hotel to everybody who likes thermal spa facilities.
very good hotel very good foodgood
upgrade me to a better room as the original room was not ready the spa should also be opening in the morning
Lady at the reception was very kind, very helpful, very cheerful.
Close to city activities and river. Noisy.
The large bedroom The noise from the street below
The hotel was very conveniently located, being a short walk from the historical district of Koblenz. The room was comfortable and I was able to catch up with the news in English on CNN on the TV in the room. I appreciated very much the fact that it was possible to use the Internet for free from a computer set up in the lobby. The bathroom looked a bit old, but was perfectly serviceable.
Staff very efficient, car parking/garage most useful, would stay there again
The breakfast was excellent.
Simple reservation via internet x
The hotel is in a good position with good facilities and an excellent buffet breakfast. We were surprised the hotel did not have a night porter. We had a problem the first night getting into the hotel.
Excellent location close to the old town. Superb breakfast from cafe Wermenn just five minutes walk away rather than hotel. Stayed one night only as part of a driving trip along Mosel. Good underground car park. Internet not included in price.
We were just passing through the area, so just stayed the one night. Clean and tidy but beds uncomfortable. Picturesque location with vineyards all around and the River Mosel just at the bottom of the hill. Not much English spoken, if any. Only took breakfast at the hotel, had our evening meal down near the river for half the price!
sorrounding the room size is far far too tight
Good breakfast. We surprisingly had a nice apartment with a kitchenette. Not in the city, but you could easily reach Mainz by bus (although it's not so frequent).
Modern comfortable hotel in quiet location
Pleasant, quiet location with an excellent on site restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Could be difficult to find without GPS
All staff that we met could speak good English and gave very good service Only that we found it noisy because of several large group events happening in hotel over the week
Upon arrival, well after the time rooms were meant to be ready, it wasn't, then there was a lack of communication between staff @ changeover which meant we sat waiting longer than necessary - this was the only negative!!
We had a lovely large airy corner room. The staff were helpful and patient with our poor German. Dinner was very good and it was the best breakfast buffet on our trip. Free internet access on their computer.
Nice view from the room, very good restaurant quality and magnificent breakfast area. Long distance from the city center.
Good hotel, staff is Ok. Room is good and clean. Location:(( Breakfast in other building:(
A nice and quiet place. Friendly atmosphere. Very good breakfast. Nice suroundings. Definitely recommended for those who want to stay away from a noisy city. A traffic sign "traffic forbidden" at the beginning of the access road to the hotel makes a sort of confusion, especially at night when it is hard to find somebody to ask the way.
Friendly reception, fun Brauhaus restaurant, excellent breakfast - I would happily revisit Strange "wet room" bathroom. Floor slopes away from drain.....
Breakfast was good, although we had to pay extra and it was in another building.Water for tea not boiled properly. Even though we arrived after 17.00, our room was not ready. Hastily made up so some cleaning was a bit cursory. Overhanging bushes in reception parking need trimming as they restrict parking access. No key for room safe - staff said the previous owners had taken all the safe keys!
The hotel was very new, modern in design, and the staff really helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was beautiful also
Hotel is good, room is big and clean. Breakfast is OK. Distance to restaurant 200 meters, 3 days WiFi is not working. First day hot water in bathroom, only after 5 oclock:(
Very modern, cosy and friendly as its name suggests! There are still some touches to be added, a bit incomplete
This hotel is only 16 months old, and is wonderful. The rooms are the most modern and comfortable for a business traveler in Europe that I have ever stayed in over the past 10 yrs. In addition, it was an incredible bargain....and the Oktoberfest menu at the Bauhaus was delicious!
The room was a generous size with a great view of the Rhine; beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The breakfast was luxurious. We didn't feel like going to the restaurant the first night and ordered room service, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was the relaxing, off the beaten path experience we were looking for. Putting guides in the hotel room on how the hotel works (room service, breakfast hours, internet etc) would go along way for those used to seeing that info spelled out, but reception was helpful when we called and we got the information and services we needed. If you take the train to Urmitz to get to the hotel, be aware that you have to walk out to the main street to catch the bus or any taxis; the hotel website doesn't point this out.
Friendly staff, great location, internet connection
The room was big and clean The air was a bit stagnant, could use some fresh circulating air
staff very competent and friendly. Felt very welcome, food excellent not applicable
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large bedroom and nice decor. Excellent breakfast (although this was extra 10.50 euros but it was well worth it).
We loved the hotel, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast in a wonderful setting.
the staff, especiall at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very diverse as well. Great value overall nothing really
Excellent breakfast and dining room No bar
I like the view onto the garden at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was also very nice.
Large, clean and quiet room No
The staff and comfort of the room Nothing
Courtesy of the staff, information in the room.
Cozy and friendly hotel with its own garage. Thus you don't have to cruise narrow streets looking for a parking. Cost you 6.50 per night. Room is clean and big enough (for the money), everything looks like new. Buffet breakfast has very good selection. We spent only 1 night there but we really enjoed it.
Staff is kind and even i got arrived at night, he explained kindly what i asked. Also breakfast is really nice. its not very far from the train station and cruise station. expensive internet.
really spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast!
Near railway station, very friendly, clean, good breakfast. Near main road so a little noisy.Shower gel empty on arrival, not filled up on request.Carpet on top floor stairs is past its best.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The hotel is located very close to the train station, but is quite a walk (15-20 minutes) to old city.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very well furnished; good ensuite shower. 23 channel TV included BBC Worldwide. Excellent hot & cold buffet breakfast nothing
comparing the price and the room, it is good. Breakfast is too simple, the elevator is too small.
Warm welcome.Good size room for 3 people. Excellent breakfast. Room could do with modernising. Non smoking room but strong smell of cigarettes.
The front desk staff was very helpful and the breakfast was ok. There was a small pizza parlor 2 doors down and within a half block there was a nice grocery store. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel and the major shopping mall was a short 10 minute ride away. It was a long way from the old town and tourist areas. The elevator was tiny and the rooms needed renovation. It kind of had a run-down old hotel feel to it. There was no hairdryer in the room and was hot without air conditioning. Its' location next door to an old folks home and across the street from a convent was kind of depressing
The info center in Koblenz was the most helpful we encoutered. Our hotel was outstanding, the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Two large groups also there but our room was very quiet. Great breakfast. It was a bus/taxi ride from the train station but worth the extra effort.
easy access to town centre. parking for the car and bus service by the front door would have like to have coffee making facilties in the room
Nice breakfast, knowledgable staff
Very eclectic set up. Loved the receptionist. Great breakfast. Near grocery store. I didn't go to but saw that there was a pool hall under the hotel. Hmm... only thing I can think of is one think of furnature (a cabinet) didn't open up. Decoration piece?
The hotel staff
very friendly and hospitable staff. Good and quite location, clean and tidy rooms none
The room was really an apartment and value for the money was awesome. Staff was very friendly. no complaints
The breakfasts at the Sholtz were very nice. They offered scrambled eggs, ham, cheese and yogert, none of which were offered to us by our subsequent English hotel.
Central position There was no car park; parking was on local car parks which were some distance away and felt insecure
Hotel staff was really helpful and accomodative. Especially, the staff in the front office.
comfort, facilities no
Small nice hotel, with excelent staff. Rooms were very clean, bathroom equiped on the level of 4 star hotels, such as Holiday Inn, Novotel etc. Shortly - recommended Considering value for money - nothing! This is not Intercontinental, of course, but you don't pay as for Inter, as well. So it was a good value for money (considering European prices and extremely expensive area of Europe - Western Germany)
Friendly personnel The heating was off and arriving there in a cold night, it was impossible to warm the room up till the morning. Luckily, the staff provided me with an extra blanket.
Very nice hotel, very comfortable and relatively quiet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to attractions. Internet access was not free, but a very reasonable 3 euro per 24 hours with a strong wireless signal. We loved it and would definitely stay again. Also, Koblenz is a very nice place to visit. We stayed over a weekend so parking at a self-park lot a half block away wasn't really an issue, but not sure how this would be during the week. No air conditioning so you have to depend on window ventilation for warm days.
Hotel has been recently renovated and our room was like new. Location was close to railway station. Staff very helpful No individual bathroom products, no tea and coffee making facilities in room. Internet 3 Euro for 24 hrs
The hotel's location is very good, opposite to the train station but far enough not to hear the noise. The town center is a few minutes away. It's a nice starting place to visit Zeeland. The bed was very, very soft and had big lumps which made sleeping hard. The hotel is a bit old, in need of refurbishment.
Close to the city centre and railway & bus stations. Loved the design and comfort of hotel.
Closeness to train station. Friendly staff. Check out at 10:00 seems a little too early.
