The hotel needs a make over. Staff was nice. The facilities needed repair. Our shower head and control was worn out. The breakfast was poor. The pancake maker was broken, no sausage and gravy for the biscuits. No bacon. The hotel is really not in the heart of downtown. It is about 3/4 of a mile to the closest restaurant and a mile and a half to the aquarium. You have to cross the busy freeway to g...

Pros (+) It's not like other holiday inn express hotels that are nice. It was kind of dirty And my husband had to clean the shower drain just to get water to go down it was so nasty!!! Also- the breakfast is mostly all microwaved food like microwaved eggs, bIscuits ect. The pool was so gross you couldn't see the bottom and it was freezing. Who doesn't have a heated indoor pool? It was so cold my kids could...

Pros (+) Overall the hotel was nice. My only issue, of which is minor, was that they charge you to park on hotel property. Thought that was just a nickel and dime fee. Besides that, no complaints. Great hotel.
