Extremely friendly and helful staff,no problems at all and the whole night went very smoothly
The location was ideal for our needs, being 5 mins from our destination. We were very pleased wiith the staff and our room, and realise that being in the centre of a large town makes parking difficult, but the reason for booking the room was because we required an overnight stay and felt that £15 was excessive (we in fact parked next door but have never before had to pay extra for parking) and £16 each was over the top for breakfast (usually inclluded where we've stayed, or at most £10). We are pensioners and were attending a funeral and much as we would have liked to have parked with you and had breakfast before departing, we really couldn't afford it.
the room and bathroom was spacious and well decorated. the bed was comfortable and the curtains kept all the light out. the room was clean on first sight but after we found stains of old blood on the sheets and the kettle was dirty inside
Thought the rooms were good value - like the touches with the slippers and dressing gowns. Fortuntely for me the weighing scales did not work !!....Food was good too.
Internally the hotel looks a bit tired and could do with a freshen up - carpets threadbare in places, especially on stairs and landing - I was a little disappointed as presentation is important with hotels. Suprised by 4 star aa rating I would have thought 2 star more appropriate. Although I would recommend the hotel to other travellers idf you can get a good deal on the price of the room, otherwise full price is far too expensive. Come on Asperion make an effort for the Olympics???
Pleasant lady at check-in, quick efficient service, clean comfortable room. The service in the bar/restaurant was a bit slow, manageress said" my staff will help you" when asked for service, not overly helpfull! See above
Comfort of room following a long and busy day. Nothing
The weather was hot and The Fan supplied for the room was very small, need larger fans.
Very good value for money. The room was clean and the restaurant (both for dinner and for breakfast) was good quality.
Staff friendly and helpfull Atm not working, had to ask for orange juice and tea cups in restaurant, noise from room above,
As travelling with a friend I confirmed a twin room. The room had one large double bed and a small made up bed which was not comfortable for my companion.
All reception staff very pleasant and helpful although our stay was for less than 24 hours.
Reasonable value for money comfortable room. None particularly. It was a Premier chain, bit faceless not too nasty.
Bed a little uncomfortable
easy to find the cost, at £62 a night, it's very expensive, especially with breakfast on top.
location and the wide range of channels on the tv Length of time it took for hot water to come through the system, and the cord to activate the bathroom fan would have suited someone just over seven foot tall!!
a freindly atmosphere , the linen was crisp and clean the spa was well equiped good choice for breakfast beautifuly situated in the surrey country side restaurant lacked atmosphere in the evening, wedding party took over the only sitting area and a lot of noise outside early hours am also people going to bedrooms waking us up, we were a group of 8 people including 2 children so we used a bedroom for our evening after the meal
Room very comfortable, pool complex excelent, fantastic location, very quiet. Nothing, loved the place.
swimming pool but also dirty showers etc rooms are very dirty no good service ,lot of noise because there was a wedding until 0200, asked for a dfiferent room on advise of one person from the hotel was not possible, smoking area under our window
It was a business stay and everything was easy to use/find
good sauna and steam room it was all a bit cold including the pool but so was the weather.
We liked the location due to it being near to shere and newlands corner. We stayed in room 16 where a noise was present all night outside our room, Sounded mechanical like the central heating or a door closing and opening all night. Complained on the way out to be told there is nothing I can do about it by the receptionist!
we went for a relaxing break and that is what we had. swimming pool was nice size and not crowded and the food was excellent the weather!!
Room service was very reasonbly priced. Spa facilities were great, it isn't very often you have a large swimming pool.
Gym & swimming pool Dirty & tired room, including hairs in bathroom and in the bed!
Friendly staff, basic but comfortable rooms
The hotel is attractive from the outside and very convenient for Guildford centre The lights didn't work in one room. The bathrooms were tiny. The hot water took a long time to come through in the morning. There was no breakfast on Sunday before 8 am and no room service. There was no room to park in the car park. There was a noisy function taking place. The room was cold in the middle of the nigh.
Free use of Wifi, and the relaxed atmosfere in the lounge bar first night i was sleeping at the front side of the hotel, which is quite noisy, because of the mainstreet, but specially the bar which was right below me. My room was reschedualed for the following days. Perfect
Nice airy room, clean, ditto the restaurant Not sure I'd call the restaurant a restaurant in terms of menu - was more like bar food, but was good
Fast check in/out. Good standard comfotable room, very clean. Reasonable parking. Location is excellent for shopping. No minibar or water in room
The location We were unable to use the car park as it was closed for a private function.
the noise from the nigh club below, and staff were just as confused as the guests when the fire alarm went of at 2am.
Lovely large room at the rear of the hotel, very quiet, we were upgraded on arrival Nothing
The room was very quiet and comfortable and the hotel is in an excellent location for the town centre. I also like the bar - very chilled!
Very helpful and friendly staff Rether dear breakfast in pretty souless interior design, perhaps rates should be B&B?
The grounds were nice. The food and drinks were way overpriced, and on the first day the bar had run out of Rose and Vodka!
The room was of an excellent standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
staff very good Hotel being revamped but is very jaded
Excellent tv / internet An improvement would be air conditioning
,nice leisure facilities, lovely setting and grounds distance from lift to room ,
Rooms nice but a little on the small side for the money. Room clean. Breakfast good. Very hot heating! Shower curtain had been doubled up and was going mouldy / smelly inside it.
Friendliness of staff Poor quality of the function food especially the main course
There isn't anything I can really say... Din't have WI-FI in the room.
It is located right next to Leeds Castle, which is why we stayed there. It's a bit out of date and unloved. It could be better with some upgrading and cleaning up. 4 Stars? Only on paper!
Whilst typical of so many modern hotels, this one has some helpful and friendly staff and it is in a convenient and pleasant location. The hotel only offers double rooms suitable for disabled guests - I would have preferred a twin room.
Good clean conference hotel. Food was fair. Room was excellent. Nothing
Staff, the architecture, rooms deco The noise and delay at restaurant the noise from the room next door, bad isolation for noise and cold from simple glass window
The location and atmosphere Like so many hotels the bathroom shower taps are not easy to use
Classy establishment, beautifully maintained, very attractive pricing, excellent staff None really, though it is a remote location. You'll need a car if you want to visit a pub or another restaurant
Wonderful garden Food not fabulous but acceptable checkout time of 9am too early
Loved the character of my room was in the Courtyard.
The staff were very attentive and the hotel is very comfortable ,set in lovely grounds and well furnished
Beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable and interesting building. Fabulous gardens. Staff friendly. Minor point - This was a birthday celebration the drinks cooler in the room was faulty so we could not chill a bottle of bubbly. However, a member of staff provided an ice bucket which was sufficient. a later than 10:30 check out on Sunday would have been appreciated in order to have time to enjoy the lovely gardens during/after breakfast.
It was a beautiful suite of rooms and the website did not do it justice. We had a lovely two night stay.
a comfortable base for visiting friends in the Guildford area
Splendid historic coaching in but with all mod cons! Loved it!
Friendly staff, good rooms, very good breakfast
Location was ideal for me, pool etc all good , large bar & food area, comfortable
hotle staff and facilities are very good n/a
Good breakfast - lots of choice, Spa facilities good and not busy. Staff were unhelpul upon arrival. Pictures of the hotel were not true to the actual hotel & rooms- disappointing.
The room was dirty and had not been cleaned in places.
The staff were very friendly
Leisure facilities Breakfast was a bit chaotic
Situation, access, calm, comfort. Restaurant (dinner): certainly not the level of a 4 stars hotel.
The layout inside is good and easy to find way around. The fact that the mini-bar seemed to cause all sorts of problems on check-out, just because we had moved cans around to make way for our own water. Seems we weren't the only ones - other people complaining when we checked out that they had been charged for things they hadn't had.
The room was large and it had all the necessary funiture. The same apply for the bathroom and the room was well cleand and tidy. The hair dryer was not working properly and it was a very cheap selection. The toilet seat didn't have the sterilised seal. Also when I cheked out I was about to be charged for another room due to staff mistake.
Fantastic price for a such lovely facility. Delicious breakfast and extremely helpful staff. Nothing to note
The food and service throughout the hotel were excellent. The room was very comfortable. Could not find any.
Appeared to be very welcomng of pets - which I did not try on this buisness trip but would definately be of interest for any subsequent leisure visit Food and drink a little expensive, especially the extra for Full English Breakfast, although the continental was quite acceptable
Modern, comfortable room
Room better than anticipated, service very good even though it was New Years Eve and they were very busy. Only a shower in the en-suite facilities, but no real hardship for just an overnight stay.
convenient access, good car parking hunt for reception staff for 08h00 checkout on Sunday morning
The room was very small and basic, and in need of refurbishment
Comfortable, clean, spacious room, decent breakfast...excellent value for money.
The restaurant was beautiful and the food excellent The staff in the restaurant did not understand our order and confused yhe meal twice!
Clean and comfortable room. Adequate amount of clean towels every day. Approachable and friendly staff. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
The room is very good for a price and the staff is very kind. Hotel parking lot is very huge so it is alway possilbe to park the car any time of year. The hotel restaurant is very bad. One night I ordered my food in restaurant on ground floor, the bar people made our food because there isn't chef.
Nice hotel in general Bathroom very poor, flooring had chips and dirty, requires decorating!! Bed only a double and very hard
Nothing Tv stopped working, told us that an engineer would arrive on Monday, little point as we left on Sunday. No exchange arranged. Long narrow hole in Bathroom floor by bath. Very dated.
the room and reception the evening meal
Convenient location for travel to business meeting next day
Nice, spacious, relatively luxurious bed and breakfast Very nice restaurant Nice location, in the middle of rural Kent though still 20-25 minutes from Maidstone Not really geared for business travellers. Breakfast is after 0930! You are offered continental breakfast in your room if you have to leave before 0930. Not easy to find, especially late at night, when my mobile sat nav stopped working as there was no reception and there was no single soul awake to ask for instructions. I suggested to the owner to alert future customers at time of confirmation of booking, with emphatic fonts e.g. capitals or bold that this may be the case, so to make alternative preparations e.g. print the map or download off line map. Do not take me wrong, overall it is a nice B&B with some very fancy rooms. Very nice for a romantic weekend/getaway!
The bed was lovely and comfortable and all the hotel staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Particularly those on the front desk. We struggled to find the hotel but when we called we were given good, clear directions. No
Location was near enough to the town centre so easy to commute to place of work. Everything was fine
Staff very helpful, particularly young female receptionist
It was in easy access to my brothers house, who is coming up to 83 years and as i stayed a couple of years ago in the hotel, although it had changed hands i thought i would try it once more with the new oners in charge. The staff i found very helpful, and the food in the barn which we have eaten many times during my visits. I found the bathroom in my room number 34,had a smell of urine although it appeared clean.Wouldnt it be an idea to give pensoners a lower rate regarding overnight or weekend accomodation?.
Excellent reception and over-the-phone directions. we wouldn't have made it without. (ok we didn't print out the directions in our leaving home and the Wokong site isn't the easiest of locations to find. The dm on the evening of Friday 19th was excellent. Pity I didn't get the name.) Also relaxing atmosphere and environment - were contemplating, but decided not to go into town for a meal as the facilities were better aat the hotel. A notice in the bathroom pointed to the us eof towels and consider the environment etc. This we always do, but found that notwithstanding the fact that we'd put towels aside, not for collection, that they had been replaced with new ones on each of the 3 days that we wer there. a tad extravagent perhaps.
Excellent attention to detail, very polite staff - infact one of the best Premier Inns Ive stayed in...the breakfast was sublime and the staff there couldnt do enough. I was wary when I saw the proximity of the pub but there was no noise at all. Cant praise the place enough :) None really - might have had more milk and tea/coffee available in room
gret staff, pleasant location, great pub and restaurant associated with it. breakfast ends too early, they should extend it to 10:00.
Excellence of the receptionist who checked us in and assisted us
Comfortable beds, card key worked in outer door so no worries about getting back late. No soap in bathroom.
Very pleasant staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast was great and staff very efficient. Family room could have been a bit bigger. Restaurant staff in the evening were slow and did not seem to cope well with being busy.
Friendly staff Food was poor pub grub, room was small, grubby bathroom, iron did not work,no milk left in room waited an hour for some too turn up.
The Staff were brilliant, made us feel very welcome. bar closing at 10pm, and not being able to have spirits or pay by cash after then. Our rooms were not cleaned or ready for us, but this was remedied quickly and profesionally
Frendly staff pleasant environment Being asked to put credit on my bill to cover any extras I mite put on my room ie drinks
The friendly and attentive staff. 1st rate - all of them. n/a
setting/location,ambience. ,house keeping not very good,ie mouldy tea pot, insufficient towels, hairdyer inop.
Walking around the gardens very tranquil It would have been nice to have afternoon tea instead of the machine but it was still good
I found the room fair, the public areas tired and scruffy.
Food, bathroom, bar service Double room rather small
Lovely hotel, great room, very friendly staff on reception. Enjoyed my stay there. Will return again. Nothing
Good staff, friendly bar area, organised taxis which were on time, impressive setting but close to town Room was in the mews, long drive and poor lighting. No tv remote and the smallest tv ever seen!
We were treated with great politeness and courtesy.
Room clean and functional. Good light in the room to work by Shower pressure was very poor - had to wash my hair under the tap. Service at breakfast was very slow.
Rural location, food in restaurant Noisy, tired hotel needs refurbishment
The girl on reception was very helpful on Friday Night the 22nd October getting us a detailed map of where we needed to go the next day. Very good people skills among the staff at the hotel and they made you feel welcome The colour scheme is awful, the hotel which is old had the potential to be homely and lovely without having to be luxurious, but the planners made a hotel which lacks atmosphere
The staff were friendly and helpful. The lovely building and its surroundings. The breakfast was good with quick service. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, the childrens put up bed on the floor in particular. Also needed instructions on opening the window left on the desk would be helpful.
The Receptionist was absolutely lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful. That the rooms were seperate from the hotel.
room was draughty smelly (sheets & pillows smelled of Smoke) was refunded & Moved the next day
The staff were extremely obliging and most welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Breakfast options were very good from full English all you can eat to simple croissant continental breakfast. Bathroom toiletries were minimal, wjich you'd expect in this level of hotel. Beautiful old house, appropriately converted for hotel use, with extensive gardens, lake, etc. No lift and no room telephones.
staff very friendly
the resturant / pub had good food
for the price it was great although the location was a little remote. All in all I would definitely stay there again
Cosy atmosphere, nice welcome, log fire and very good dinner I don't like bathrooms with carpets, there are always stains around the toilet. Mould on ceiling above shower cubicle. Bedroom radiator didn't work.
Excellent location, good for my morning run. Good service and good cooking at breakfast. Slight noise (hum) at night in room. Even closing the windows did not diminish it. However, I still slept well
Typical English country hotel in Surrey Hills
First class hotel, well worth a visit, set in a nice village, good all round
The hotel looks very cozy and so cool to stay at night. Perfect location for hiking in the woods. Food is great and friendly staff. Only the heater in our room is not working well. Not good idea if the radiator is broken especially during winter time.
The food. very good
very friendly staff, excellent room and food, nice location
There is no night staff and if you leave early all the lights on the stairs are off. No lights left on in the grounds so you cant see where your car is parked
The stay was good until 9am, no water, therefore could not shower. After breakfast there was no toilet facilities, that was horrendous because all toilets were blocked by then. The hygeine was nil. I would expect some compensation for this depolrable inconvenience.
The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked for assistance. Restaurant food was high quality with a good selection.
My friends and I stayed at Hilton Maidstone as it is half way between our homes. It suited our needs perfectly and was very comfortable. It was close enough to town to leave our cars there and get a cab into town. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
I enjoy your swimming pool very much - one of the best around. I phoned reception many times on the Friday evening to request a taxi but your colleagues did not answer and so I was late for my appointment. The following morning I again phoned reception and again they did not answer.
Excellent service and facilities None
friendly helpful staff. had deluxe room which exceeded expectations. buffet breakfast could've been better; not very hot, rubbery eggs, hard croissants and had to ask for more hot water for teapot as only enough for 1 and a half cups between us.
The standard of service was of the highest level. Made to feel a valued guest.
Great quality alround None at all
Nice Room! Nothing at all. Great hotel.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, unfortunately, they cannot cope when the hotel is full, so unless you go early, you will have to queue. The reception staff, are poor, our rooms were not available until 4.30, and sadly that was after a lot of complaining.
