Pros: Diner was included in the price and very tasty! The room was nicely decorated. There was a smoking area outside on the roof. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was too standard for me. I would have like to have more vegetarian/vegan choice f.e. vegetable milk. The location is near the highway.
Pros: Very good buffet breakfast, decent wifi (although not entirely reliable, randomly lost signal and had to reconnect). Good location close to main roads and town. Decent, comfortable room and bathroom. Easy check-in and out.
Cons: Room was not particularly well equipped for clothes storage/hanging, bathroom was rather tight, wifi reliability sometimes intermittent, some noise from the other rooms and stairway and the on-site restaurant only has a fixed price (food & drinks all-in) evening buffet so, while probably good value for a big/special meal, not suitable if you want a light meal/snack only.
Pros: Ample breakfast available with a lot of different choices.
Cons: water dispenser readily available. We asked for water and it was no trouble to get it but a simple dispenser along side the orange juice would have been ideal
Cons: pillow to big and hard
Pros: I like everything, the room layout and comfort, the heating in my room was very efficient (something that often lets hotels down in the winter months). Go food, nice bar area, good easy parking.
Pros: The breakfast is standard for the area. Evening meal is good. There is plenty of choice and the deal includes beer and wine although range limited.
Cons: Even meal was very good. Rooms have Air Conditioning
Pros: Very convenient location close to the highway. Excellent breakfast. The restaurant and bar areas have been recently renovated and are very nice. We stayed for a couple of nights and found it comfortable. Good value for money.
Cons: The bathroom of our room was not renovated. Sound insulation was poor.
Grand Hotel en Résidence De Draak is located on the central Grote Markt in Bergen op Zoom. The hotel offers free WiFi throughout and is decorated with antique silver, paintings and tapestries. De Draak is the oldest hotel in The Netherlands, dating back to before 1397. All rooms and suite are unique in style and have characteristic details. This accommodation also features a wellness center, at a surcharge, is equipped with a fitness studio, a sauna, an infrared sauna and a Turkish bath. The hotel's Restaurant Hemingway serves classic dishes with a French accent, each carefully prepared by the kitchen staff. You can also drink your favourite beer or soda on the terrace. De Draak is a 10-minute walk from the train station. You can take a city tour past the Markiezenhof and the Gertrudiskerk. There is a private parking area.
Pros: The location and feel. I forget how different the netherlands is. We always have a refreshing experience. Prefer this space as a refreshing change to routine...not an additional amount of change to too much change. Interesting, different, quaint, and...it's the location on the quaint platz and not the amenities that drive the value.
Cons: The spa has little-to-no-value with the hours available. We got there and it was a duh--obvioulsy the most imprtant part of the property isn't avilable--it opens far after check out and closes earlier than most arrive. Good luck with the parking and the neighbouring night club goes until at least 2 am maybe 4 am, and i mean loud and wild...with my eyes large and blinky. Wiiilllddd, tiny and you can't have any....is the experience...i get the sense their is more small theft here than ususal, as in theft for fun or competition.
Pros: Breakfast was an extra 18.00 euros PER DAY .showercurtain was flimsy and bare bones. They gave me the wrong room first it was so small you could not sit and had no mini barre . It was not stocked when I showed them that I was suppose to have the double room with seating area and minibarre they changed it and gave me a different room. The soccets in the room are old fashioned so the travelers conversion plugs did not fit for computer or laptop.no coffee machine just a hot water heater. It was pathetic. For that price and that long a stay I had expected better.! Everything was "extra". I will not stay there again they had my booking on their computer and then just told me that "someone must have made a mistake"while looking right at the computerscreen. I think they wanted to make more money because off the carnaval season at that time. I did not like this hotel att all.
Cons: Everything !!
Pros: The history of the hotel is fascinating, as it is the oldest hotel in the Netherlands that is still operating. Lovely building and located on the town square. I imagine that it’s lovely in summer when the hotel has tables outside. I was there on a very quiet Sunday, when the restaurant was closed.
Cons: The doors to the shower cubicle didn’t seem able to close properly so quite a lot of water ended up on the bathroom floor.
Pros: Directly in the centre of Bergen op Zoom, quiet nice room, very clean. Car parking facility available.
Cons: No coffee/tea making facility in the room. The breakfast was not too exciting.
Pros: Not much -- leaving it perhaps!! Oh yes it did have a trouser press!!!
Cons: Lots. To begin with the hotel had no record of my arrival! The first time this has happened to me with Booking.com.. and I have used you a fair bit. I was shunted into a room in the bowels of the place with windows blacked out for 75% of their area. The hotel is an old fashioned hotel in the centre of the town and getting anywhere near it by car is a nightmare. I parked outside the town initially and walked in. The young manager presented me with a map - which turned out only to have about half the roads on it and gave no real indication of the extent of one way and complete no go roads into the place.. It was worse than Hampton Course Maze!! The young man was far from really helpful. The whole thing was a stressful experience!!!
Pros: Wonderful location in front of the cathedral.
Pros: It is located at the centre of the city, (Groote Markt). It is convienient. The hotel was very historical, elegant. The staff were very friendly. My room was absolutely quite and had a big bathroom. I also enjoyed breakfast, and it was included in the price as well. To be honest it was really a pleasant stay in Bergen op Zoom!
Pros: The rooms are fantastic. Not like a regular boring hotel room. My room had a lot of character. the breakfast was also very good, especially for a Dutch hotel.
Cons: Although the food in the hotel restaurant was excelent, the service could have been better, a lot better in fact.
Pros: the hotel spoilt our day in antwerp
Cons: the bathroom ,no nice towels ,no toilettries, such as shampoo conditioner cotton buds shower cap and shall i go on.
Pros: Very nice setting and location with a nice hotel.
Pros: The food was devine & the staff were very helpful & very plesant.
Cons: The room (# 104) that I stayed in had no windows that could open & the air smelt, felt stuffy & was not very comfortable.
Cons: the access by car was not easy, due to the road works
A stay at Tulip Inn Bergen op Zoom places you in the heart of Bergen op Zoom, within a 15-minute walk of Grote Kerk and Grote Markt. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Almost everything
Pros: İt was very very noisy all night long in a few rooms we did told this to the reception bud nothing changed we didnt sleep at all!! And the restaurant was terrible the food
Cons: Everything was very poor, uncomfortable bed, very old building, creaking floors and the room took ages to warm up. I wouldn't recommend this place at all, starting because I paid 200 euros for 3 nights. I left after the first one, wasn't going to take it any longer. When I left the owner didn't even ask about my stay and charged the full amount.
Cons: Room in separate building. At checkout I was told the room checked out already
Located in Bergen op Zoom, Fletcher Wellness-Hotel Stadspark is within a 15-minute drive of Gevangenpoort and Rosada Factory Outlet. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was polite
Cons: Bed was scratchy/ blanket was for a smaller mattress it seemed. Caked on dust in the vent, gross stains on chairs and carpet, crumbling grout around tiles in bathroom, soap scum on the shower, water going hot to cold suddenly on its own, bathroom light flickering and making tinking noises like it was going to explode. Just all around motel quality. The bar was an exception though it seemed like the staff was limited in drink knowledge even though they were polite and otherwise perfect. This was our second attempt at staying at this location and both times were complete let downs. The only change being this time no bugs all over the bathroom.
Pros: really friendly staff and always willing to help
Cons: my room looked a little tired compared to the rest of the hotel. price reflected this though.
Pros: The hotel is in a nice place and looks very good from outside. The reception and the entrance are nicely decorated and the area is very welcoming.
Cons: The rooms are oldfashion with used furniture and the walls need painting. The bathroom is working good but also needs some renewal.
Pros: Thank you for a nice service, we like your hotel
Cons: old toilet
Pros: We paid a small amount for an early check in and got an upgrade to a fabulous room
Pros: Nothing exactly
Cons: room is over-dated , not comfortable beds not well maintained ,i mean list is endless , nice entrance Vs terrible room
Pros: Not much, bad service, worse room and terrible
Cons: Bad service, worse room and terrible. Right at the bottom of list for the 100s hotels I’ve stayed in.
Cons: Kamers out dated oud
Pros: The cabin in front of the hotel for smokers gives the smokers a place for their habit and relieves nonsmokers from the "cloud of smoke" often found next to the front entrance of other hotels.
Located in Bergen op Zoom, Stayokay Bergen Op Zoom - Hostel is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Grote Markt and Grote Kerk. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The style of the building was very unique and the lookout tower was a nice added touch. Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Cons: The staff had no idea how to run a hostel. I checked in and was told my room was on the ground floor after searching I found my room to be on the second floor. It was a dorm room and all but two beds were taken both of those beds had no sheets to them. The old used sheets were still in the room on the floor. After going back to reception I asked for some sheets and that there were two beds missing sheets. The lady said she would drop off the sheets. I went to my room after reception closed and found that only one set of sheets were dropped off and that bed was taken so the bed I was to be sleeping in still had no sheets. I went back to reception and it was closed and locked the security guard was also nowhere to be found. After an hour and half of trying to find someone to get clean sheets off of the security guard finally appeared and was able to get me some sheets. In the morning I spoke with reception and they informed me that they wouldn't charge me for the night as I had such a hassle getting the basics of a hostel. So far no refund has been given and I have been charged the full amount of the stay there.
Cons: Every thing I don’t like apart from coffee
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Wifi patchy
Cons: Beds contained Sand and dust. WiFi was not working in rooms, in the Lobby IT was existing but no access possible due to missing speed. In the two breakfsts we had something was missing each Day (Butter, yoghurt)
Pros: Tastefully done main building that did a good breakfast and a good evening bar
Cons: Dinner finishes at 7:30! So didn’t work for us at all. Rooms are basic but fine. Whole setup is good for sleeping whilst enjoying more of the outdoors and out of the accommodation
Pros: The location was the best! Having several entries to the forest made it a perfect getaway for me. Also it was only 10minutes cycling to the village center, had multiple lunch/diner opportunities in 10 minute walking distance.
Cons: There had been no cleaning service and therefore no clean sheets for the new comers which was quite awkward. Also I didn't like the amount of electricity plugs, I ended up charging my phone in the bathroom.
Pros: Staff helpfull, good!!
Cons: Room too poor not even cup to drink water. Bed and pillow stink!

Pros: It was a clean, spacious room with a good bed. Slept well. Very friendly and nice staff. Coffee and tea with a clean water cooker available in the room.
Cons: It is an old building with old furniture which has it charm, so don't expect any luxury.
Pros: Friendly so helpfull all our requests catered too, nothing was to much trouble, food was excellent and the service perfect.
Pros: We loved the location and the little kitchen facilities. It was perfect for our needs.
Pros: Marco was excellent: friendly and attentive. Got a double room for myself, which had a separate sitting room. The room's kitchen area was sparsely equipped (some tableware and a microwave), but I dined in the restaurant, so I didn't miss the facilities. Breakfast was ample and good. Pros: Thoroughly enjoyed my stay: the hosts and their team were incredibly friendly and accomodating; the breakfast is a delight; the room was beautiful, had a nice view and a very comfortable bed; great location - the park right next to the villa allows for nice walks.
Cons: The bathroom had a few minor drawbacks (missing shower door, drain of sink somewhat stuck and bathroom heating apparently not working) - but all in all nothing dramatic.

Pros: Lovely BnB in the heart of the Dutch countryside. The property was very spacious, with decent sized en suite rooms and a large communal sitting and dinning area. There is a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave and sink, plenty of crockery and glasses, and tea and coffee always available. We had pretty bad weather, but there is also a lovely terrace with stunning views across the fields to Zeeland and the canal. The hosts were great, friendly and helpful, always on hand to answer any questions. They recommended a couple of restaurants in Harlesten 10-15 minute walk away across the fields. There you'll also find a great little supermarket, butcher, baker and bank. Bergen op Zoom is 10 minutes in the car and well worth a day or two site-seeing. Tonnes of restaurants, bars and shops. Breakfast was superb, fresh bread and cheese, eggs from the resident chicken. All in all a great find and one we'll definitely be returning too.
