Very clean; friendly and helpful staff; excellent breakfast Mix up over booking and single room rather basic.
spacious room , good wifi internet connection. paid WiFi internet (€ 4,50 night), some sewer smell from the drain in the bathroom. This somehow I have noticed more in other hotels Denmark....
the bathrooms all have underfloor heating. The restaurant serves good quality food.
Fair prices compared to average in that Denmark area, mainly having a restaurant available in the hotel is a plus if you're travelling for business and good quality at reasonable prices. It was clean but cleanings done a bit poorly especially because lots of hair in the toilet, but generally tidy.
convenient and easy to find for first-time visitors to Horning
easy to find and close to town That the bedroom was not clean, and that it was clear musroms in the bathroom, so there was a not good smell in the room
Good price/quality ratio. Quiet place. No or poor equipments in the room.
The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast was all right and the restaurant was completely full of guests. The drain in the bath room was smelling a little.
We were on route through Denmark from Norway and needed a night rest. It was located close to the highway. The price! Outbound towards Norway on 15/7/09 we booked Radisson Aarhus DKK 859,- (= €115,45) for a real comfortable (business class) room. Horning Kro & Hotel price was DKK 855,- and added a CC fee of DKK 26,69 making total DKK 876.35 = € 116,35 for a budget/backpackers place to sleep.
it suited the purpose for which we chose it, we needed a place to stay in horning noise from next door( not the fault of people next door, just poor sound insulation, every time the door opened, it sounded as if someone entered our room, also very thin walls), no airconditioning, no ventilation in bathroom, shower curtain dirty and smelly, no tea/coffee making facilities,
breaksfast is good The rooms are dirty, and very small and noisy, is the worst hotel i have stayed. not recomendable
Great restaurant for dinner - a pleasant surprise. Great breakfast. Nice to be in the country away from the city centre (easy drive). Free wireless from the room didn't work. The room and bathroom (whilst clean) are a little tired - maybe some modernising is in order.
Nothing. Only the host at the "kro" was kind and did a good job. He even served an excellent meal, but very ecpensive. Evrything: The standard of the romm (we had ordered buisness, and wondered if one extra chair was the difference), There were trolleys with dirty loundry in the corridor, the staff (two young girls) did not even say "hallo" or "good morning", they had no information to give us, even were to eat brakfast, the "hotel" was lying close to the highway(nothing was told about that on internet. Terrible!!
Kind staff Our room not cleaned on Sunday, reception said dont clean on Sundays!!! We should receive half the money back on both rooms for this night, but not offered at all.
everything was ok. there is no like the best thing I had at the hotel. I wasn't sure if the hotel had an indoor pool or not ! as it was mentioned in the catalogue at the room, but the receptionist say no they don't. so I was kind of confused !
Good B'fast Internet not working even the public computer in lobby is out of order! This is not good for business traveller. Room are small. Felt being over pay for the room we got.
Location, close to Arhus. Staff is very helpful and kind. Breakfasts are very good. Room cleaning was poor.
the beds are comfortable the interior seemd old and used, missing light bulbs, no mini bar and soap/shampoo, stayned carpet, no hairdryer in room, room located next to highway, breakfast buffet was almost emty ½ hour before end of service, swimming pool was closed
Friendly staff The pool was ice cold. our room was not cleaned on the Sunday, when we complained were told they dont clean on a Sunday!!!! Why should we pay full rate for half a service? Very upset over this.
Excellent location with regards availability from the highway. Easy to find. Quiet area in the countryside. Nice restaurant. Very nice staff. Good parking.
Excellent Hotel with lots of character and history, set in extensive gardens with lake, quiet and peaceful surroundings, relaxing environment, gourmet food/wine and great service
I liked the friendliness of staff members and the quality of both breakfast and dinner. Mattress a bit too soft and the bathroom does not match the quality of the rooms enterior. The hallway had a stale smell and would better be vented more often.
We liked the well come, the staff´s assistance and pleasant manners. Although lunch is not what is served at the manor, excellent lundh was "whipped" up for us, and was served with smiles. Room 25 was simply romantic and well furnished. Our thanks to the lady at the reception, the waitresses on saturday mid day and sunday breakfast time. Room 38 was too small for 2 people and with dull furnishing
Staff always helpful and friendly, beautiful area, lovely manor house, felt pampered
beautiful suroundings noise trainstation
Good breakfast. No good acoustic isolation between adiacent rooms. I could hear everything from my neighbours...
Great restaurant in connection with the hotel. Best hotel I've stayed at in this price category. Value for money.
the wonderful woman at the front desk, so very exelent the saturday night live band made it impossible to sleep
Very good breakfast and friendly staff. We were put in an annex adjacent to an entertainement room and all was well until after midnight when the music etc continued. The manager told us that it went on until 1:30 so we asked for an alternative room, which we were given, hence no more noise until 1:30 when the revellers moved outside to drink, smoke and 'chat' until 3 in the morning. We could not be bothered to move again so had about 4 hours sleep and woke up tired, angry and with a long journey ahead and hence didn't enjoy the very good buffet breakfast. The sauna rooms have no heaters, the pool temperature was about 20 with the air at 35.
The otel is a hotel which has a history. But I do not know why but I could not feel myself as a quest rather someone who should pay for the room. The bathroom is adopted into the room later. So I think there is a little sanitary problem that I could not see. It was smelling a bit filthy.
Staff in reception and dining were very helpful, smiling and polite. A bar separate from the dining room would be nice Dinner did take a long time to be served, but the dining room was quite busy
This was my third visit and the staff are always helpful. There is a need for more plugs so that business travellers can work in their rooms.
Bar and restaurant in-house
Price was reasonable for Denmark.
The first thing we did after seeing the accommodation was to extend our stay. Our hut was clean and spacious with good cooking facilities; an excellent power shower and very comfortable beds. The roof extended over a large porch so that we could eat or sit outside even if it rained. At night it was incredibly quiet allowing some very good nights' sleep. The lake was beautiful and tranquil. Aarhus was only a short drive away for shopping. Good wireless Internet access in the main building. It would have been nice to have Internet access in the hut, but the walk to the main building was not difficult.
