Best Hornos hotelsShow all
Pros: The hotel is on the edge of Hornos but the town is so small it might as well be in the center. Our room had good views over the hills to the rear with the castle to the side. Beds firm and comfortable. Ample parking next to the hotel and beside the small park. The restaurant on the ground floor serves excellent pizzas.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Pros: The apartments are located at the edge of Hornos village. It's a very short walk to the centre from which there is a wonderful view of the valley and the lake. Our apartment (just a room and a bathroom) was small, but adequate for a stopover. We really enjoyed the bar and restaurant under the apartments. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was typical of the area, generous and great value.
Pros: Easy parking. Friendly staff. Wonderful location. Excellent value for money. Thoroughly recommended.
Cons: Only one plug in room and no bin
Pros: The owner and staff were very helpful and kind during my entire visit. The location in the center of Hornos is outstanding, and the in-house bar/restaurant is very good and operates at all hours.
Cons: Tends to be a bit noisy because of the downstairs restaurant - but pretty moderate.
Pros: Very nice place in a small mountain village. We found parking spots right in front of the house. Rooms were comfortable and fitted our needs perfectly. Highly recommend having dinner in the downstairs pizzeria; awesome pizza and service.
Pros: For everybody who is interested in staying at a cozy apartment while walking around chilled-out Hornos or doing some tours around. I recommend motorcycling through the valley of Sierra der Cazorla. Restaurant has also nice food and the open chimney is really a great thing to sit at. Very much recommended, although the room may not be too spacious. Mine had also a nice balcony with a view of the castle.
Cons: In the night there was some noise from the lower restaurant, but still ok to sleep after some time. Fan of the bathroom was noisy as well, but if you turn the light off, it goes out. When the staff of the restaurant is busy, they are not too attentive.
Pros: Owner very helpful with safe lock-up garage for our bicycles.
Pros: Great basic accomodation—clean, comfortable, quiet. Great value.
Located in Segura de la Sierra, Cortijo de Ramón is within a 15-minute drive of Sierra de Segura and Sierras de Cazorla Natural Park. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful cortijo hidden in the woods and ideal to unwind at the same time close to the nearest small town for things you may need. Lovely hosts who can advise you on what to do and the history of the area. We’ll be back for sure!
Pros: Our host was extremely attentive and hospitable. The accommodation is out of town in the most beautiful scenic area. We had dinner at the accommodation and it was probably the best meal we had on our whole trip. The entire meal was cooked by our hostess and wow, can she cook!
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Was great - nothing negative to say
Pros: Great little hotel in wooded countryside, great place to relax or unwind very friendly
Pros: The only downside are no fridge in room ,and internet connection terrible in room.
Cons: Beautiful pool area .
Pros: Hugely impressive and relaxing experience. The owners are amazing hosts. Attention to every detail in the rural setting, the facilities and the service is of the highest standard. The accommodation is so stylish. The surrounding may be beautiful Spanish countryside but the property is much more sophisticated. No garish light bulbs or loud TV sets provided. Instead an eclectic ambience derived from beautiful and sensitively modernised shepherd's house with tasteful finishing touches everywhere. Marc and his wife Amparo are wonderful hosts who will gladly explain everything about your stay. We enjoyed learning about how's much; from how local people make a living from olive oil production to learn about the region's controversial connections to the early pioneering activities of Christopher Columbus. El Cortijo and its owners will give you an experience not found elswhere in the Park (and beyond) where most places are mainstream with little or no charm. Vi hade en fantastisk upplevelse. Varmt rekommenerat och mycket god mat! An additional touch is the well stocked cute shop with a great selection of high quality olive oils from the hood. Thanks for a lively time!
Cons: There's nothing not to like.
Pros: This is not a hotel, but a family run guesthouse with a great personal touch! Beautiful property and surroundings. Classic house, decorated with taste and style. Great breakfast! Friendly owners, good tips how to spend your day. The location makes for great day trips, with a relaxing place to stay when you come back.
Cons: A classic house with wooden floors, so you can hear others. Did not bother us too much.
Cons: If you want to eat dinner there, you have to inform them in the morning, which isn't helpful to find out when you arrive at 8pm - it's not exactly a restaurant like the reviews say. Lots of dead and alive insects inside (fruitflies, mosquitoes, ants, woodlice, spiders, others I don't know the name of). There was no hot water so after turning on the boiler and waiting for 30 mins, we spoke to the owner and he turned on the generator. He said it would take 1 hour for hot water. The hot water tank also doesn't last long enough for 2 showers. Finally at 10pm he brought us some towels. Parking is a 5 min walk away. Some pretty unsafe electrical and gas situations, the light in the bathroom makes a noise when you turn it on, he said it was leaves. The gas hob is well dodgy. Everything felt damp.
Pros: This wonderful place felt like a hidden gem. It is nestled amongst beautiful trees and takes you back to nature. It’s paradise. The family room we stayed in was very spacious and the traditional breakfast was very tasty. There are rooms in the house/hotel and also separate apartments. We stayed in the house, it was very quiet and we were not disturbed by any noise. The private car park is literally up the main drive. The pool was in the sun, surrounded by trees.. beautiful! There was even a little pool bar for drinks and ice creams. The wonderful hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We have travelled Spain for 4 weeks and stayed here for 2 nights, I wish it had been for longer. The host (he spoke very good English) was very helpful with recommendations and gave us the co-ordinates to find fantastic areas for us to explore in the beautiful natural park. We made family memories we will never forget walking in beautiful natural streams and swimming in clear openings. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for having us. I hope to visit again when we next travel in Spain.
Cons: There is nothing I could possibly dislike about this place.
Pros: Very good place to explore the unexpectedly nice region, very friendly staff who know the region well. Recommend the dinners in the cortijo and the olive oil in the shop!
When you a stay at Hostal El Mirador in Hornos, you'll be in the historical district, just steps from Sierras de Cazorla Natural Park and Sierra de Segura. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: Hotel is run by a lovely couple always making sure you are ok. The views are great. The best service so far on my motorcycle roadtrip in Europe. The homecooked food was so tasty that i just had to have an extra portion even if i was full already. Thanks
Pros: Great location and views. The hosts were lovely and full of great advice. The food at the restaurant was perfecto.
Cons: The only problem we had was the heat. The building is not made for warm weather and it was very hot at night. This was during a heatwave but even when the outside temperature dropped the room stayed very warm.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff
Cons: No lift
Pros: Excellent location & staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We spent New Year’s Eve in the hostel as guests but were made to feel like family. The owners included us in their family celebrations so we could experience a traditional Spanish New Years.
Pros: I felt right at home staying here, welcomed by two very warm, kind and friendly hosts. My stay was very relaxing and rejuvenating after a few hard days of cycling. The food served was absolutely delicious and dining here was also great experience.
Pros: Hornos is a lovely little town and our hosts Peter and Esther were very helpful and friendly. We arrived for a one night stay and stayed for three. Beautiful scenery and lovely drives in the area. Parking is very nearby.
Pros: The welcome from the owners was very friendly. The location is excellent - high up in a small village right in the middle of the National Park. We were given brilliant advice on where to drive or walk in the park, and the drive we took was fantastic. The room itself was fine, with all facilities in good working order...and a great hot shower. Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Loved sitting on the terrace with a drink at the end of the day watching the sun go down over the mountains on the other side of the valley, and the mist on the reservoir in the early morning was magical. Really enjoyed staying here...great value for the money. Would heartily recommend.
Cons: An information folder in the room containing useful information such as a restaurant menu and prices, wifi password, places to go if the weather is poor ( luckily for us we had great weather!) and so on, would have been useful. This would save the owners having to explain the same things to each guest.
Pros: The people who run the hostel are very friendly and welcoming. The hostel has a fantastic view over the valley and reservoir. The room was clean and the large double bed was very comfortable. Good coffee in the morning with the optional breakfast.
Pros: Superb hosts, Peter & Esther, friendly and exceptionally helpful. Clean, tidy and lovely view from balcony.
Cons: Not applicable
Situated in Santiago-Pontones, this hotel is steps from Sierra de Segura and El Tranco de Beas Reservoir. Collado del Almendral Hunting Park and Castle Bujaraiza are also within 10 minutes.
Pros: The area is beautiful, relaxing and surrounded by nature. It's close to some hiking starting points. After a long walk in the park, using the outdoor pool was very pleasant. Rooms are furnished in a nice mountain style and they have everything you need.
Cons: If you don't book half or full board, you can't have a proper breakfast, but only a coffee and a pastry seating at the bar counter, even if you pay for it. We asked why other guests were seating at the restaurant eating a full breakfast, and this is the reason they told us. I think they should offer the possibility to buy only breakfast or at least do not ask to seat in a different area just because you didn't book the half board.
Pros: GOOD DINNER AND BREAKFAST
Cons: THE BED A LITTLE SMALL
Pros: Location, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Food was also good.
Located in Villanueva del Arzobispo, Hospederia Las Cañadillas is a 3-minute drive from Sierras de Cazorla Natural Park and 12 minutes from Castle Bujaraiza. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very rural, in natural park. Very friendly owner.
Pros: the remote location in the middle of the natural park is absolutely magic! the place is lovely and fantastic to relax properly away from any city environment.
Cons: Becuase of the location quite far (10-15km) from any village offering basic amenities (like a supermarket), in case you are arriving in the middle of the day, there is no food/drinks offered until the restaurant opens at 20.30. So the only catering service available is between 8.30-10.30 in the morning for breakfast or in the evening. Which for someone without a car and hungry makes things a little difficult.
With a stay at ANTAVIANA HOSPEDERIA RURAL CON ENCANTO in Segura de la Sierra, you'll be 3 mi (4.9 km) from Sierras de Cazorla Natural Park and 8.1 mi (13 km) from Segura Castle. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
With a stay at La Casa de la Abuela Clotilde in Hornos, you'll be just steps from Sierras de Cazorla Natural Park and Sierra de Segura. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities.
Pros: Lovely house, nice terrasse with beautiful view.
Cons: Hot water was a bit on an off.
Pros: Great location & views from bedroom balconies. Fireplace helped on cold, rainy day!
Cons: Common spaces were a bit cramped, but manageable for three adults.
Pros: Charming accommodation.
Cons: Rather cold and damp (December) in the bed which was rather short and lacking support.
