The hotel had a lot of character Remote car park
The hotel's location is excellent, the staff is very friendly and the room was perfect for the price. Breakfast was also very good N/A
the room was an excellent suprise for its comfort and decour the access to the hotel was made difficult due to there not being a bannister(handrail) on the stairs to reception.
The hotel was clean, the staff was nice. room was comfortable, walking distance from city center and tesco. air-conditioner very weak, some facilities didn't work (minibar safe)>
very convient to the rail station, breakfast decent, room clean, neat
Excellent staff, facilities, location. Food was lovely. Irish football supporters were very happy :-) Nothing.
bar staff were excellent
warm and friendly assistance from the staff's hotel none
The place was very grand but very well kept. The room although small was really well equipped and very clean Our 'business' room was really intended for 1 person (one gown, one pair of slippers, small bed) however we were offered a free upgrade to a larger room when we queried.
Very good hotel and staff nice.
Luxurious, 'standard room' exceeded my expectation. Location to Square seconds walk, train station 2 minutes and to football stadium only 7 minutes. Makes getting around Zilinia so easy and enjoyable
It was very clean, good breakfest, friendly staff
Small but very modern and attractive wellness area. Completely new hotel, very centrally located and with great design. Not much (only one...) fitness amenities
All aspects were excellent with good staff communications and an immaculately clean room and good reaustrant facilities, a pleasure to have brekfast served instead of a buffet! None
The Dubna Scala has a quiet, classy boutique feel. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms; attentive staff and a relaxing spa jacuzzi, sauna & massage set-up. In the town centre with easy walking access to bars, restaurants and station. A shopping mall is being built across the road and so there is some construction noise.
This hotel is almost certainly the nicest in town. The facilities are excellent. The hotel restaurant had surprisingly good food at a reasonable price and I arranged for a very good massage in the spa. The staff was a bit tentative with English. The rooms - like many - had a card system whereby the electicity works by inserting a card into a slot by the door. After dark, I realized that this system did not work. I had to move to another room and pack in the dark! The hotel staff offered little more than an apology and did not help me move my belongings. The service is just ok, not befitting that which the cost commands. Overall, it's too expensive for the area and amenities offered, but again, is probably the nicest and only hotel of its kind in the area.
Location in Zilina was excellent.
Comfortable and well equipped room, great food in the hotel restaurant, staff were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast choice was very good.
The staff were excellent, the location was superb and the hotel was spotless
This is a modern hotel, excellent location
rooms are very beautiful and there are many facilities respect the level of the hotel. staff is very kind the location : very far from the centre and difficult to find - there's no lift
The rooms were clean, the staff was good. Generally hotel was good. There is no elevator.
The friendlyness of the staff and being able to communicate in English. The breakfast was great! No elevator............steps too tiring. Although the steps were steep, I did get help carrying my luggage up to my room.
Great location, excellent staff and a beautiful hotel. 11am check out is a little early to what I would be used to (midday) but they were flexible and this seems to be the norm in the area.
An excellent hotel; staff very helpful and polite. Design of hotel impressive - very modern but retaining old charm too.We wished we had stayed longer than one night. Location was not very convenient for town although taxis cheap and helpful too. Perhaps more information could be provided by hotel about the local area, walks, places to visit etc?
a nice gem that will likely get very expensive as it becomes more known. Our visit was a unique one but if you are into relaxed slovak country side, this is great. the hot water broke down but it was fixedin 30 minutes
Good, new hotel for relaxation in very picturesque place
very nice and clean hotel services, horrible breakfest, no room service,
Spacious and well furnished rooms with large bathrooms. Nice swimming pool. Swimming pool was open to general public and was extremely owercrowded at all times. Elevator broke and was fixed only after 24 hours for which we received a small discount. Some corridors were not lit in the evening. Breakfast could have better selection of food, especially fruits. In Rajecke Teplice the food in all the restaurants we tried was disappointing.
the pool area food was boring, menu had the same you find in every slovak restaurant. both breakfast and dinner were not up to international standard. massage treatments was in public just behind small doors the way to the pool. didnt Get any spa feeling at all.
central location, nice decoration, comfortable rooms
Great value for the money I payed for it.
The rooms were excellent, the price was great, the staff spoke good English. Coming by car, the hotel is not easy to find - take a map of the town with you.
Clean facilities Shower drain not designed properly. Hotel internior looked nice though. Would have appreciated more than one cup of coffee for the breakfast coupon.
Comfortable, and friendly
Very friendly staff, good food, an early breakfast and good access to 'get away' roads made this a perfect night's stop-over on our cycle trip. Slightly awkward to find, but once you know where it is, easy to get to.
the service was very good.and suited the purpose of our visit,a football match in the European Cup
Great service for money.
Large Rooms, Comfortable Beds. Pristine Bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. free breakfast..........excellent value for money. Location was a little bit out of the way
Breakfast was spartan, but good. We asked for a non-smoking room. They gave us a pretty stinking one. Pillows, covers ... We had to keep the window open all the night - consider that rooms face to the main street. Furthermore, the carpet in the bathroom was dirty.
We had the misfortune to stay in this hotel 3 nights - had we known what it was going to be like before we arrived we'd have stayed elsewhere. We arrived around 5pm on Tuesday 7th July and we checked in (which took the lady around 20 minutes to do). The staff were generally unhelpful and didnt speak english. We were eventually given room 532 which was small, cramped and the carpet outside the room was uneven which could of caused someone unsteady on their feet to trip and fall. On the first night the curtains over the window fell down. It generally wasnt a very pleasant experience and we were glad when we left
Nothing at all The hotel, rooms need renovation. There is construction work around hotel. The Wi Fi was not working although i requested it and the receptionist couldn't even call some one to ask to reset the modem. Very gloomy, Soviet looking hotel.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The overall impression was quite bad, I do not plan to return there, nor would I recommend it to others.
Great staff - knew enough english to be really helpfull Still under construction on external parts of the hotel
Everything about the hotel was great....staff very accomodating, restaurant excellent. It is new and there are still a few "bugs" in the system.
modern hotel. very good dinner. biata at front desk very helpful in planning our itinerary we were only guests but given a very small room next to a room that was being renovated as of 8 am!!
Nice hotel, particularly if evaluated with the price. Clean rooms and a nice green wiev. Do not expect much. No elevators in the hotel and no hairdrier in the rooms.
The hotel is situated in a village situated very close to Martin. It is a relatively new hotel and very quiet. The staff is very amiable. The room are new furnished and very clean. A very good ratio price/quality.
Reception staff extremely helpful also speaking good English, bar and restaurant staff likewise, evening meals were delicious as were the cooked breakfasts. Lack of dressing table and mirror for ladies to do their make up and hair. British tourists seem to expect tea and coffee making facilities in their rooms (kettle, tea/coffee bags and cups).
Kind personal, excellent restaurant, good location
The hotel was very good for the money, the kind of place business people go for team building and conferences. But they were very nice to vacationers like us.
