With a stay at Snowbird Inn in Hotham Heights, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Mount Hotham and Mount Hotham Alpine Resort.
Pros: The staff were excellent and easy to talk to. Location was smack bang in the middle of the mountain with easy access to lifts, restaurants and bars. The rooms were cosy, warm and clean.
Pros: Conveniently located
Cons: I noticed that a discount was offered less than one week after I booked.
Pros: Very accomodating staff and location. Will be back for sure
Pros: The staff was excellent, Great position you can walk out and just ski.
Cons: The beds were extremely hard
Pros: The snow was so good i nearly got stuck on the mountain and the staff especially the ones that looked like the managers where great to go to for help
Cons: Just the bedding but its cheap and cheerfull so i understand
Pros: Location is excellent. Staff friendly. Cheap prices in shoulder season. Food at restaurant really good and a cool bar. Snow/ resort was awesome. Lot's of fun!
Cons: There is a sign in the kitchen saying "please wash up your dishes" but there is only hand soap and a dirty old cloth next to the sink. Kinda gross. Also, some more glasses, plates and cutlery would be appreciated! An electric stove would be a godsend. Too many people were cooking sausages in the toasted sandwich maker haha. Also, food on mountain is expensive so take some with you.
Pros: Our stay at snowbird began at a warm welcoming and i very quiet and comfortable first night by the fire with the whole lodge to ourselves, great facilities, the only mistake we made was not making great use of kitchen facilities. Payed for breakfast and dinner and particularly enjoyed the stew dinner on our second night, however breakfast was a bit plain and just a classic aussie breakfast, the same on both days. Location is basically unbeatable, right in hotham central, a 50m walk to the village chair lift (audi quattro).
Cons: Although our first night was quiet peaceful, the talk of a school group had me dreading the second day. Inevitable, did the loud school group arrive, thankfully most stayed in their room but many blocked hallways, entrances and were super loud which made the stay quite less enjoyable. Other than the school kids, servers at the bistro for breakfast and dinner did not seem very happy to be doing their job and our tv inside our room made some strange high pitched ringing sound when turned on, should be replaced and pillows were flimsy and extremely flat which hurt my neck and did not have good sleeps 2 nights in a row which was unfortunate for the other people i almost ran into on the slopes. All in all not a bad stay though
Pros: Not a great deal
Cons: A lot of things
