Size of room, microwave and fridge, free blockbuster movies.
The rooms were large and very well laid out with a nice bathroom with both a shower and a bath and a separate WC. Also it was possible to partition the room into two with the partitions suspended from the ceiling. The hotel takes your payment at time of booking. The staff are very average and found it difficult to find the booking. Although there were facilities to make tea and coffee in the room there were not cups/ sachets of coffe/ milk sufficient for the number of guests and this got worse the second day.
Great location, easy access to train stations.Modern feel, with well designed rooms.
clean, friendly staff, efficient, spacious rooms not in the centre, close to the railway station, expensive breakfast
clean and comfortable
Room size, facilities None.
helpful desk staff
quite rooms, very close to railway station Lille Europe, internet access, easy to print boarding pass
Room size just right. Having young children we loved being able to divide the room up so that we could watch a movie and drink wine whilst they slept. Staff were friendly and receptionist spoke excellent English. I would have had a go at the french but she made it so easy. Breakfast was basci, laid back and delicious
Clean and comfortable room. Free use of internet en TV facilities The lack of free parking, this should be arranged by the hotel.
Its a great location keeping in mind that it is located in a quite country side road and the nearest city is about 10 minutes away. The surroundings were very tranquille the hotel was very clean and rooms spacisious but I think we were just two guests in the hotel and It got very alone at night. But my kids and I enjoyed it. Its a great faimly escape from it all. The staff knew very little to no english but they were very friendly and tried to understand our questions.
The hotel is very pretty and tranquil. It is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in The bed was very hard. When we asked for more pillows the hotel did not have any!
Lovely Surroundings and fantastic hotel, breakfast was good The room needed coffee making facilities
contact with staff only by E-mail and telephone. Perfect staff. In the hotelroom was no air-conditioner.
The 'Suite De La Coeur' was extremely comfortable and we had a pleasant stay with our 3 children sharing 2 bedrooms (after we locked the minibars) while we slept in the third one. 2 bathrooms and the Jacuzzi added some fun to the experience. Breakfast was slightly expensive but good in quality and variety. Safe parking on site. The hotel is geared up for small corporate meetings, but it has a rustic feel and plenty of character. English isn't widely spoken, but staff was friendly and always got hold of someone who did when they couldn't understand. Definitely would love to go back next year. Hot water ran out after we filled up the bath a second time, I would have expected that the hotel had a combi boiler and not a hot water tank given the price range
Pleasant surroundings.Amicable staff. Noisy function during our stay.Indifferent restaurant.
Clean, modern, beautiful building. Very handy for transiing as near to motorway but far enough away to be peaceful. Fantastic if you want family room - sleeps 4 very comfortably. It is closed for food in August and it has minimal staff. Make sure you turn up early enough to pick up keys or arrange for gate key code. Not much atmosphere in August (but peaceful!)
Large duplex loft onto floors, ample space for four, much more space than you would normally expect for france. Excelent modern adaptation, comfortable beds, and interesting facility. Good wifi and easy access from autoroutes. We arrived late but after phoning were reassured not a problem, made restaurant after long drive from Germany. Shower didn't match up to the accommodation, restaurant and breakfast a bit run of the mill compared to the quality of the accommodation
No evening meals available, and very little in the surrounding area. Also, from the car park the reception is not easy to find.
Stylish and quite hotel
location was no wi fi
the hotel had no night desk and there were metal shutters surrounding the hotel when i returned at night. the area was not pleasant and i did not feel secure in the hotel
Provided my basic needs, and allowed me to deposit my baggage following my check-out. Staff very polite. I was a little surprised that the window could not be secured in the open position, and had to be restrained by a drawn curtain. (I have not seen your website). Please note, below, I booked a single room but was given a double room and charged accordingly.
room was neat, entrance staff was very friendly
friendly and professional service. Staff were very accommodating. no
Staff were friendly, but did not speak English too well (although, better than I could speak French). I liked that there was free internet and a bakery across the road. Being next to the metro was handy too, although the station was dirty and smelt like urine..... pretty much same as Termini in Rome The location and all the riff raff near the hotel throughout the night (even at 4am)
Location, breakfast, price smokey room
The clerk at the front desk was very helpful. The bed was the hardest I've ever experienced. I would have been better off sleeping on the floor - there was no room for that though. All other qualities were there and I used to profess that if a hotel room was clean then it was ok by my standards. The Best Hotel in Lille changed this - if one cannot sleep properly due to a poor bed then it is not a hotel that I could return to nor recommend to others.
Location was easy to find and close to central Lille- easy walk to the centre. Rooms were clean, Value for money.
Hotel reeked of cigarettes, no hair dryer in the room, or kettle, and on immediately leaving the hotel was confronted with beggars and homeless asking for money.
Good location, close to Rail Stations, which was essential to me wasn't really easy to find it from the first time. Numbers of buildings in Lille are rarely seen and hotel is situated a bit aside of the street. So the main thing is to find KOOKAI shop and hotel is just on the right next to it.
Right in the middle of the city. Perfect for a weekend break!
central location, nicely renovated, nice "salle de séjour" rooms are rather small, but with modern equipment, air-conditioning is used for heating (which worked fine in the room I had)
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location. We stayed in the privileged room no 104. As we investigated next day, it was the only room from the Privileged range on the 1st floor that had ridiculously small bathroom. "Small" is actually a massive understatement - the layout was awkward and one needed to do some gimnastics to pass the sink to get to the toilet. Once in place the sink could be used as a head support... Additionally there was a bad smell from drains in the room. This room 104 shouldn't be classed as Privileged. If we were placed in one of the other Privileged rooms with normal bathroom I would give the room high grade.
friendly and helpfull staff, flexibility of timetable no elevator, no hangers for towels
It was very clean and in the very city centre No lift and a lot of stairs, not really practical for heavy luggage.
The rooms on the lower floor can be noisy
The hotel is newly-renovated - very stylishly - and the superior double room that I had was large and comfortable and overlooked the street leading to Place du Rihour. The hotel's location is fantastic - easy walking distance from the main train and local metro stations and to key sights. Generally, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the young woman on reception and the housekeeper. The only aspect about my stay that I didn't like was the noise made by the delivery/cleaning trucks that started to arrive in the normally pedestrian-only streets between 6 and 7 am.
Small, clean hotel in the centre of the city!!!! In tha bathroom there were now hangers to hang on towels etc ...
On arrival the hotel looked strange and when you climbed a set of stairs the reception area was small but the room was very comfortable and quite sizable plus the hotel was well placed for sightseeing, restaurants and shopping
the hotel is perfect situated for people who want to visit Lille by train and want to go shopping and walking in the centre of the town!
Very convenient location between Eurostar station and city centre/Vieille Ville. Pleasant, friendly, helpful staff.
Good size room, welcoming Toilet was broken away from wall (an unnerving experience!), No Wi-Fi
Hotel in very good location breakfast is very small for its price, is better go eat outside
the friendleness, the cleanliness, the location we would have liked kettle with tea/coffee in room
open all hours no problem getting late at night no
Excellent location, literally a stone's throw from the Lille mainland station and only 500 metres from the Lille Europe. Could not have asked for a more central hotel. Room was clean and as described - let's be honest, you are not going to be spending much time in the room in Lille!! Staff were very helpful and spoke great English.
The location was amazing. Staff very accommodating and the hotel was of a good standard. Brilliant value for money. Parking was rubbish. Cost us 28 euros for two days as we had to park in the public car park. I suggest leaving the car at home.
Excellent location and fair price. Overall a good solution for a weekend in Lille
Convenience of location
Staff were extremely helpful, and breakfasts were excellent, with very attentive service. The lifts were all we needed to get our bags upstairs without too much difficulty. The location was excellent for us, very near the train stations and close to the opera house.
ease of access, very friendly staff, good location
Location and staff
Central Location & the room facilities of having 3 single beds Lack of Parking Facilities for unloading and during the stay - Plenty of Centre Car Parks but wasn't expecting the extra cost and the walk between with luggage was not much fun! Lack of Tea & Coffee making facilities - but I guess that's common in Europe (we're just so British!)
Convenience of local shops and restaurants. Locality of railway station. The bath was too short. Room was fairly small. Noise outside at night was very loud when windows were shut.
Convenience to eurostar Renovation
hotel stuff nothing special
the quality and the peace and quiet of the hotel
close to the train station.
Close to railway station Lille Flandre
The hotel was fine but nothing more. The location was the best point Very basic. Bed was bad and breakfast awful.
clean modern hotel ,convenient for SNCF/ Eurostar breakfast seemed expensive.
excellent location near the station and the city center; also very close to Euralille, which is a great shopping center; clean room; good breakfast My room was way too noisy because of the dysfunctional closing system of the window ; I was also very disappointed because the staff at the reception desk was not only unfriendly but also very rude.
We liked the location of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful
The check in was simple and the clerk was very efficient, extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable, and great stay with the hotel located a short walk from the Old Town and the Christmas Market. Wide range available for breakfast, but the hot food offering was limited and cold
Excellent facilities. Very large rooms which were clean and very comfortable. Excellent facilities onsite with bar and good priced restaurant. Internet available. Friendly staff. Good location, only 5 minute walk to center of Lille.
Great location, very quiet despite proximity to station. Easy parking underneath. Excellent rooms, clean and functional.
Comfort of the rooms and the vast range of breakfast items
Not very good location and no car park!!
very central, clean and good value for money the light in the room could be of a more cosy kind
Location is great, can't beat that.
The breakfast was good. Opening up the bed and discovering that the sheets were not clean is not the most exciting thing
its location room too small and uncomfortable
The price of the room was very cheap, good location and had free WiFi
Good location, friendly staff, big rooms, nice tv, wifi in the corridor - everything that you need for several nights' stay if wifi was in the room it would be better..but at least it's available in general) the sheets were sort of old and the cover on the bed wasn't that clean
Got a good night's sleep Accommodation was very basic indeed
Convenient location for the centre of town. Buffet breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful
Location was convenient for the City centre. Very convenient car parking Grumpy and unhelpful night staff. Getting two more pillows, which we had already arranged with the day staff, was not organised and the night porter was surly. Bathroom smelled of drains. Tiny lift which only serves 6 of the 7 floors.
Location, in the centre of Lille, and parking available for 12€ The room was at the 7th floor, the last one under the room, there was a feeling that the space should normally not have been used for a bedroom, there were humidity spots on the roof. The pilows were ok but the matras was deeper in its middle than on the sides. Breakfast was served until 10 am only (on week-end they should be more flexible). I wouldn't mind all this for 70/80€ a night but not for 127€ a night ! But as I said, our room was on the last floor under the roof, maybe other rooms are better.
We were 12 of us and all extremely happy about the hotel. It was basic but very clean, very confortable and very well located. Moreover the staff was very nice and very helpfull. Breakfast was great too. Really A+++, we'll come back! No. Maybe tea or coffee in the room would be good.
nothing not up to standard of other hotels for same price in the area
Location being extremely close to the centre and it's local facilities Very noisey, not through traffic but other residents as no carpets on floors
Sightseeing, drove to Brugges
The staff were very helpful and very polite and friendly Breakfast was very poor. Breakfast room far too small for number guests. Standard of cleaning was very poor. Litter was on the staircase on our first day or arrival and still there 3 days later when we left.
The staff were exceptional. The location was superb great for shopping. The 24 hour desk was good. The bathroom was so small i had bruising on my body from bending around the sink to wash and pee.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Basic rooms, but very central location with restaurants and central sites on your doorstep. Staff are friendly and english speaking. Large parking building is directly across the street, but you must email them to book as very limited spaces allocated for the hotel. The cot for baby was already set up in our room without having to ask which is a first for any hotel we have stayed in. Would stay again.
Clean and great location The hotelstaff at night (one man) was very drunk when he was working
It's too bad. Nothing is worthwhile except for the location of the hotel. Noisy all the night, smelly, facility is awful
The room was cleaned and fresh linen provided daily. All the staff were helpful and attentive, The restaurant has an interesting menu well prepared and presented. Very quiet and little road noise. Nothing serious will be pleased when all the refurbishment is finished
Very good value for money! Rooms are nice and clean, only "minus" there was no heather in the bathroom. Hotel is located in the very town centre close to both stations, shops, bars and restaurants. I would definitely go back back should I go to Lille again...
Pleasant staff, arrived early and room was made ready in 20 min. Central and close to metro. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and soap and shampoo. No wardrobe, lived out of my suitcase. A few wire hangers from the tv stand for hanging clothes. The cost of a single is the same as a double room. Tho this seems to be general in France.
Location, friendly staffs (receptions as weell as bar staffs) Shower was a bit too small but we should not have expected more for the budget
Clean bed linen and towels Bathroom a safety hazard . steps to bath and toilet on slippy tiles. Very badly finished walls. Very dimly lit. No personal facilities in room, I.e:- no coffee or tea facilities, no hairdryer. No chairs no bedside cabinet.
Location of the hotel.( Providing you do not mind noise ) a la carte food was excellent. Staff very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was poor. Bathroom was freezing due to a large gap below the window, and was almost unbearable to use.
The location was excellent and easy for access to the 2 train stations
Used as a base for sightseeing
Close to transport (Metro and Autoroute)Safe parking Clean room and bed Stairs and tobacco smoke
The staff were very friendly and welcoming i had no problem communicating with them they were english speaking. There is free parking with free Wifi. The hotel is walking distance from The shopping centre there is also an ikea, buffalo grill and 24 screen cinema apparently the largest in france and the metro to eurolille takes less then 20 minutes from the hotel. The room was very basic a double bed a desk a TV. No kettle or iron not really any real space to move around. The Shower and toilet was really small for an en suite but there is soap in there with towels.
Easy, small but efficient facilities. I was promised a non smoking room but the room was heavily smelling smoke.
the staff were excellent the bed was broken
Shower room had everything you needed, was well designed but was extremely small. Good powerful shower. Hotel was quiet, clean and secure. Nice firm matress. Breakfast generous. Friendly staff. Pillows weren't great. Mind you don't bump your head on the tv!
Convenience, small but comfortable room, great price. Shower and toilet were small, but everything we needed was there, including soap and towels. A horrible smell when we entered the room. The staff cleared it with air-freshener, but it was a worry. The bedspread was not very clean, although the sheets, towel and the rest of the room were spotless.
Bed was quite comfortable and shower worked ok. The area was quite quiet at night and we had a nice meal at the restaurant next door. Room too small for 2 people, especially the bathroom. We had to ask for tea and coffee making facilities, but the only electric kettle they had leaked water into the electrical connections, so we had to buy our own. The shower curtain was broken at one end, so it was difficult to prevent water from going everywhere. There were only 2 hangers on a rail and no shelves for clothes. Also the door closer was broken.
hotel was ideal for our holiday as our trip was to search for information about my grandfather was killed in houplines in ww1 so your hotel was perfect for us your staff were most helpfull
Very handy for the Christmas fair. Paid parking close. Nothing
Warm welcome. Clean, comfortable and warm room. Location close to city centre and Grand Palais. Mosquito bits whilst in room at night
The staff were very friendly, nothing was to much for them. The rooms we had were very clean and comfortable, and an excellent location for .sightseeing in LIlle. Would definately go there again.
The location was ideal for a Tourist - a good mix of fine restaurants nearby. Good front window outlook on quiet street. None.
No wifi operating in the room, despite indications that it is available.very old and poorly maintained hotel.
Pictures on the walls; comfortable room and obliging staff.
Very helpful staff Our bedroom, on the top floor, was very hot.
Helpful staff. Attractive decor. Bathroom very clean. Uncomfortable mattress.
The comfortable seating areas on each floor. Before arriving, the hotel willingly emailed answers to my questions and gave us rooms overlooking the courtyard rather than the street. No, th three of us were happy with everything.
A great find in Lille - I will be back! Free wifi, a bath, a quiet and good-sized room were all good points. This hotel had everything I needed for my business trip, while being charming and unique. It is in a great location a short walk from Lille Flandres and Lille Europe stations and from the pedestrian city centre. I brought my own kettle to make tea as I had noted this is not supplied from previous reviews. Great hotel, will return. Bring your own travel-kettle etc if you require tea/coffee-making facilities.
The bar towels were old and had an odd smell, marks on the sheets/pillow cases. Shower curtain was not suitable and kept blowing into the showering area and looked old and shabby... a solid shower guard would be more suitable
The lovely spacious grounds were ideal for an evening and morning walk and we were lucky to have a room overlooking the park area at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was very good and the lady on duty (May 19) was friendly and helpful. Although there were at least two weekend functions going on the participants used a separate entrance and as "normal" guests we were in no way inconvenienced by this. The carpark is very large too so there were still plenty of places to park despite the functions. Car park security: We booked in and then drove into Lille to eat. When we returned to the hotel around 10pm on Friday May 18, the security gate was closed but was opened when we pressed the bell. To our knowledge our identity was not checked nor were we given a code by Reception to ensure that we were residents at the hotel. This makes the car park less secure in our opinion.
The room was well presented. My wife and I had two evenings in the resturant and had excellent service and meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have been able to make a cup of coffee in the room.
No smoking room was obviously a past smoking room - smell lingered.....
Very comfortable room, nice bathroom with separate toilet. Breakfast expensive: € 15 p.p.
A very convenient location for driving to a nearby Metro Station with free parking, to go into Lille centre without having to take the car and struggle to find a parking space there. Also, the room with two double beds as standard, was very comfortable indeed, and the bathroom was spacious, and with a superb walk in shower unit. The set meal in the restaurant was really poor, and the a la carte seemed to be very expensive, as did the wine list. The best food value was the Express breakfast at a special price of only 7 euros (normally though 8 euros), rather than the 15 euro normal breakfast.
For that price, U can get most of your expectations. silence, large lounges, restaurants, also business meeting rooms. Except taxi, no public transportation to anywhere.
That it belongs to a chain Price to high
Nice rooms, clean and spacious. Nice friendly recpeption staff. Nice breakfast. If only they had a childrens playground it would be perfect. The restaurant. If you want dinner then go to the Courtepaille just outside the gates, it's very good value, food and service. The food in the hotel was plain, cold and very expensive for what it was.
Nice, large, clean room, with 2 double beds. (Twin room was used by myself and my Son.) Excellent room rate. Hotel easy to find from motorway. Toilet cistern not functioning properly. "Fair" rating for booking process, is because the online booking information suggested that you needed to share a bathroom with other guests! I telephoned to check this and was assured that all rooms had en-suite toilet & shower facilities, but that additional, separate bathrooms were available on some floors. I found this quite misleading when trying to book on the internet.
Good and clean facilities. Excellent breakfast. No tea and coffee-making facility.
The reception staff was extremely helpful and multilingual. Thumbs up.
Courteous and friendly reception by staff. No fuss, no parking problems. A relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast choices are a little restricted.
Practical and clean, pleasant atmosphere, good breakfast, very good service from staff.
easy access to autoroute tea making facilites in the room would be good
Location easy to find, vast parking, room acceptable for a 2-star hotel, free WiFi, good choice at breakfast vs. pricing. WiFi not supporting VPN, no restaurant, but good ones within 10 mns by walk.
ideal for our overnight stay. limited local restaurants, but had a good meal in a chain. room clean, spacious, comfortable but noisy, ask for a room away from the roads. great staff, limited breakfast, no drink making facilities in room.
The guy at the reception was very helpful! And also the manager. Drawers in the rooms would be good. Maybe also tea making facilities in the room?
we arrived early on the day we were alowed to have the room early, great feeling about the place, well looked after
Being our first time in Lille the location of the hotel was great. Very friendly staff. The rooms are small but very clean. Parking is limited in the Hotel lot. If you get in late, you might have to park on the side street. Wasn't bad, just not expected.
Every one was very friendly, the room was nice and clean
good location for what we wanted
Big room, big TV, restaurant in hotel
comfort, friendly and helpful staff and of course the excellent food. there were no english tv channels which is unusual for a campanile
We got the key for our room but is was not cleaned
the location of this hotel was excellent for my requirements. The food served at this site was excellent. The room was lacking any curtains, so you had to lower the shutters at night.
It was cheap and cheerful and everything you need for an overnight stop during a long journey It was close to the main road which was quite noisy
