9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room with private kitchen and use of private patio. Nice breakfast. Lovely hosts, very friendly but not overbearing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It was great your own flat for a low price. Well kept spotless. Secure place to keep bicycle. Great breakfast. Very quiet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A truly excellent place to stay. Excellent property and wonderful hosts.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: What looks like an ordinary bungalow in a cul de sac turned out to be an immaculate self contained bedroom with personal kitchen in this lovely couple`s home.! Warm welcome...though I believe the hostess only speaks French, but that was not a problem for us. We had the use of a spotless kitchen to use if we needed to, but we ate well at a local restaurant, from pizza to higher class dishes. In the morning the kitchen was laid up with a breakfast which was better than many we experienced in hotels. The bedroom was a wee bit cramped, wash basin in bedroom and small shower cubicle "en suite" but it suited us as an overnight stop on a month`s cycle trip. Incredible value for money!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly couple
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners, great value for money, kitchen (we ended up eating in after going to the nearby supermarket)
Cons: Nothing really. The bedroom and living room are the converted winter garden of the main house. So the layout is a bit strange, eg, the living room is totally exposed to views from outside.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant owners, privacy of the Chambre d'Hote, separate living space with dining table etc, ability to make tea/coffee etc
Cons: No bathroom - all facilities there but directly opening onto the bedroom
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Immaculate bedroom, shower room and kitchenette/conservatory, all very well equipped. Very good breakfast and friendly and helpful owner. Quiet location. Accommodation and breakfast very good value for money.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, friendly hosts and a fine breakfast

9.3 Excellent (160 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Hourtin, Au bois flotté is in a regional park, within a 15-minute drive of Museum Regards sur le Passé and Bay of Biscay. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All but especially the exeptional comfort of the bed and pillows.
Cons: The breakfast needs to be upgraded.
7.5 Good
Pros: We were here 4 nights, 5 people (3 children, 18,16,14 yo). Nice clean rooms and green surrounding. Good with tea during daytime and possibility to use the pool (during special hours).
Cons: Difficulties with communication,Danny doesn’t speak English at all. David doesn’t talk much, maybe a good morning, no question about how we did sleep or if we need anything. As a conclusion: A bit poor service minded. Additionally you get a feeling about disturbing the owners in their privacy as they live in between the cottages. The breakfast is 99% carbs with white bread, occasionally croissant, jam, sugar, cake, juice, some fruit. Maybe normal for French but hard for people who need and are used to a breakfast with more proteins. As another guest wrote would an upgrade of the breakfast be great! There’s a road and a roundabout close to the cottages, so if silence is important for you it’s good to book the family deluxe room ( which our children had), this room is more secluded.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The direct roads (about two km) have quite a bit of fast traffic, which is not so nice with a bike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant landlords! It's a truly beautiful place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful lodge with very comfortable beds and quirky seating areas! The host was very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great and the owners very friendly, plus they have a lovely dog!
Cons: The room was smaller than I expected

4.5 Okay
Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: When we arrived, we were told the rules. Inside the room there was a list of rules, including you could not eat or drink your own food inside or outside your room. It was very dated- a bath and not a shower, smelt damp- possibly the air con and felt like a chalet complex. I said it reminded me of Hi de Hi. My partner said yes but without he fun and energy. I’m sure it would be suitable for older customers but for the price we felt we could have got something a lot nicer . In fact we had done the previous 2 evenings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful location, friendly staff, secure lock up for cycles
Cons: I was on bicycle, so had 20min walk into town for supper, but I walked on the cycle path rather than the road , which was nicer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady/owner? on reception was so helpful, comfortable room great place for cycling
7.5 Good
Pros: Peaceful and private with decent space
Cons: breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, air conditioning, terraced single-storey accommodation . each with its own little terrace and deckchairs, surrounding a small swimming pool. Big parking field next door, in very quiet neighbourhood.
Cons: It's quite a hike from the town and port restaurants (but only a few minutes in the car or by bike) and doesn't do evening meals.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good quality and items were refilled quickly. There was a limited choice - it would have been nice if there had been some scrambled egg, for instance and perhaps some bacon/sausages. But really do not have any complaints.
Cons: It would have been nice to have had coffee/tea making facilities in the room, particularly when we arrived after a long journey and first thing in the morning, before breakfast was being served.
5.8 Okay
Cons: There was no proper shower arrangement. There was a hand held shower attachment on the bath taps, but nowhere to attach it on the wall! The whole place had a tired look and feel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Traditional chalet style rooms which look out onto the pool area (each room has a little terrace in front, which was nice). Loads of parking in a field next door to the hotel. A pleasant welcome on arrival and good service throughout our short stay. A nice breakfast. Very clean and tidy.
Cons: The hotel is located slightly out of town and about 20 mins walk to the Port, but then you do have the trade-off of a pool!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Lovely pool
Cons: Very basic and old fasioned room, No cofee making facilities. More like a holiday camp than a hotel.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely (smallish) complex, about a mile out of the town centre, and 5 mins walk to the port - both of which have a handful of restaurants. Quite a low-key area - though we stayed there right at the end of season, so it might be more vibrant in earlier months.
Cons: Very squeaky bed! Our studio had a sofa bed, which was very squeaky. Also, we were arriving late; I requested a late check-in (11pm) at the time of booking, and also by email via the booking.com, as per the instructions when reserving (I sent about 4 emails in total), with no response. In the end I called; fortunately the lady spoke English and was happy to arrange late arrival. A response via the channels recommended by booking.com should have been provided.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic apartment with a free upgrade and the English speaking lovely staff member (Lisa??) managed to get us an extra 4 nights without having to move apartment!
Cons: The young folk down by the lake were occasionally noisy late at night but that is out of the control of Odalys of course
