quiet clean room, clean modern ambience in an old building in the historic district It would have been nice, on at least one night, if there had been a restaurant in the hotel (many of the better restaurants in the town are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings) - but that is probably impractical for a small hotel.
Attactive and comfortable hotel, with friendly and efficient staff. Very convenient location.
would make it my base for exploring area
Excellent position, right in Petite Venise and with convenient access by car from the highway.
Pleasant modern decor; helpful & friendly staff; within easy reach of old town. Room not suitable for tall person - low beams. Small bath towels
A good quality 3-star hotel. The room and the facilities are very well maintained. Breakfast is extra! The hotel is also 20-minute away (on foot) from the train station.
The central location meant that we could walk to restaurants and around the area after we parked the rental car. The carpet on the floor of the bedroom was quite worn and therefore appeared somewhat unclean. The rest of the room and the bathroom were very clean.
Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and friendly staff There was no hair dryer. The breakfast was pretty pricey at 12 Euro per person
The location set in the middle of a bustling square with lots of specialist food shops and plenty of choice of restaurants. A picturesque location with the canal and bridge. The hotel beautifully refurbished in a modern decor within a beautiful old building. Great style. I adored everything about Le Colombier but the addition of a restaurant would just be perfect.
The hotel is very well located. Parking was easy to find neaby (almost in this season). The personell was really nice and helpfull. Our room was located on a small street behind the main building, in a house of '600. The furniture design very nice (with a large and confortable bed), the quite at night, make this place definitely recommended!!
Breakfast Buffet Broken Hairdrier, Shower Area,
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. No air-conditioning or elevator.
Very small rooms, and a very small double bed
The staff were very pleasant, and the meals were of good quality. Some noisy arrivals at midnight!
also we arrived very late in the evening, hotel staff was very nice and accomodating.
Very quiet hotel. Good for night rest. Yes, No dinner possibilities on Sundays in the hotel restaurant.
very friendly staff; good restaurant; excellent breakfast; close to the center noisy guests
We used this hotel as a passage hotel for a one night stay as a passage hotel and it fit this intention well. However we'd not stay in this hotel for a longer period : the room was not air conditioned and thus very hot. Moreover as the hotel is situated between two roads with quite some traffic, one can't open the windows during the night for noise reasons.
We asked for a triple room and got a double room with an extra bed. We had to walk over the beds to get from one side of the room to the other. They said that this indeed was a triple room, but strangely we only had two glasses of water and things like that. We had booked months in advance. One would think this gives plenty of time to prepare a decent triple room!
Convenient location on drive to Italy. A functional place to sleep for a few hours before moving on. Our room was a bit 'tired' and the shower area was dirty...would benefit from TLC.
The room was well appointed and very clean. The location was excellent and the staff very helpful. With 3 adults staying in the room there could have been more tea and coffee in the room
The location, the comfort and the meal in the brasserie. Breakfast was very busy because of a coach tour so we went elsewhere.
Excellent location near railway station, very helpful staff on front counter, pleasantly decorated French hotel
I was only there for one night, but everything funktioned well. Especilly the breakfast was superb I was missing a lounge or a litle bar, with room for more than 4.
Comfort, service and location in the town + restaurants Closed from the railway station
The room size is ok.The location is good for trevel by train.Very nice hotel, Breakfast is excellent but a bit expensive,
The Hotel is in front of the TGV train station. The architecture is interesting. It would be nice, if the price is much cheaper. Although it was worth paying that amount of money. It's a wounderful hotel.
This is our fifth stay and the best thing about it is the food, wine and service in the Bistro. We make a point of always staying at the Hotel Bristol on our journey to Italy. Nothing!
Liked everything! absolutely nothing wrong with this place!
location. very near to train station' transportation to the shhping center nice pleasent hotel te desk did not know about any timetable of buses or train to take you from colmar [to freiburg]
location, food no
Bed was best ever in a hotel. Hotel generally is much nicer actually is better than what you would expect from a 3 star hotel (or from its outside appearance). From outside it looks like a cheesy adult hotel, not very tasteful.
Good value for money Just near-by a big and noisy road (even if the rooms have a good airconditioning).
friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and spacious
The room was clean and confortable. There was free WI-FI in the rooms and the hotel staff helped with restaurant recomendation. The location is the best: less than 2 minutes walking from the old city center and little Venice district. The garage was very small and had to be paid separately (8 eur per night). There was no mini bar neither water in the rooms.
Pleasant staff, easy walk to "Little Venice",private parking (at extra cost), good breakfast buffet and well-appointed room and clean (but see below) We paid extra for a "Large superior room". It was tiny, you could hardly swing a cat! Description inaccurate
A few steps from the center of Colmar, the hotel is a good choice for its price. Big clean room, wi-fi, helpful staff and parking (for extra money), that was all we were asking from the hotel. There was a slight smell in the room as if it was closed for months or if the window was never opened.
The proximity of the center and the facility to park the car. The hotel is confortable and the breakfast is very good. I reccomend this hotel
Clean, good location Room that had not been updated, including bedding and bed. Also, I believe the hair dryer mounted in the bathroom was from 1960.
Convenient position to old quarter of Colmar. Bright, airy room. Reasonable breakfast and a secure garage for our touring bicycles. Staff were helpful with a bucket to clean the bikes when they were muddy from the rain!
It was very well placed for exploring the city and surrounding area The breakfast was dreadful.. How can a hotel produce tinned fruit when it is so easy to cut up fresh fruit. coffee not good and jam?? this was jelly when France has such wonderful jam At the cost of 8 euros very bad. We would have gone out for breakfast if there had been some where nearer. The decor not brilliant, dreadful green colour!!
Everything in the hotel is explained very well in 3 lang.(eng,ger,fra). Good location. Good breakfast.(excluded). it is very good to have wifi in room. The drinks in the bar is not enough there are limited drinks. Exp: no diet cola. A/C was not working fully functionally ( we turned it in auto function but in the morning it was stopped and the room very cold)
Neat and simple little hotel at the entrance to the old city. Great Hotel if you only stay one or two nights and want to be in the centre of Colmar.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even when asking for an extension for another night on short notice on abusy weekend, they solved this difficult challange. The rooms had all comfort needed and were very clean. As we had a room to the backside of the building, it was also very quiet. The water pressure in the shower was incredible and set a new benchmark. The breakfast was ok, but a wider choice (more fuit, cheese, perhaps scrambled eggs) would have made it even better.
Nice atmosphere, clean, comfortable, great location to activities within walking distance, good customer service, reasonably priced and good selections for the buffet breakfast. Oh yes, and some Enlish speaking assistance at the reception desk (thank you).
Room and pool facilities were very nice, good value for price compared to hotels within walking distance of Colmar center. A car is desirable but parking in Colmar was fairly easy and inexpensive. Good pastries are available at a nearby boulangerie for a fraction of the cost of breakfast at the hotel. A staff member accidently left our room door open when we were out. She left for the day without returning to reclaim her key card or close the room. We were very lucky that nothing was stolen. When I returned the key card to the front desk, the desk agent said she would inform the "direction", but the incident was not even mentioned when we checked out. At the least we felt that an apology was in order for this carelessness.
clean- friendly I was asking non-smoking but we got a smoker- room
The hotel is well located and easy to find, the rooms are fine and comfortable. The service at the restaurant was too quick (no time to finish the starters!), and some problems with the water pressure in the bathroom.
Excellent location to explore Alsace region. Hotel was easy to find and central. Out of the city so was quiet Hotel reception was a shambles. Our party of four was told to sit in the ante room while the front staff processed 35 people off the bus. Breakfast was rated at 2 out of 10 for presentation and quality.
Very quiet due to very few people there !!
We enjoyed the pool, restaurant, location, and we appreciated the friendliness of the hotel staff. No
The beds were rather comfortable. Location very near Colmar. No charm, typically a business-type hotel. The personnel does not seem to pay attention to the guests. The bar is in the lobby, opening times are not respected.
A very clean place, with a friendly and helpful staff. The place was quirky, too: while aesthetics seemed to have been put together helter- skelter and little seemed to match any real theme, the place has charm. I came to bike Colmar & the wine region: this hotel was perfect, in that it was 10 minutes outside Colmar by bicycle, and there was pleanty of free and easy parking. While the breakfast buffet was nicely done, it was nothing really special -- and I thought it was a little pricey at 12.50 Euro. So many other places offer the same fare part of the price of the room.
very pleasent stay. Big rooms. wifi only in lobby, far from town centre
Friendlyness and helpfulness of reception staff uncomfortable mattress
Right in the city and with great architecture.
I did not like it. Impersonal staff, unclean bathroom, outrageous price I liked nothing
Excellent staff, great rooms. Fascinating old building. Delicious food.
The history and the building itself. have a lovely courtyard for breakfast.
lovely comfortable room and staggeringly good restaurant both visually and "foodily"!! a bit pricey but worth it
nice and quiet no place near for food/drink
Quite, good parking facilities, pricewise very much acceptable, breakfast ok,
Internet connection is free of charge (Wi Fii) and no problem to see internet but speed and capability of the system is poor that it was impossible to send large attachment by e-mail. So I can not use this hotel for business purpose.
Don't expect too much. Small room. Far from city center. If you don't have a car, don't choose.
Fairly easy to find. Room was small but clean and what you need for one or two nights. Good parking and within a short distance of places to eat, even though we had to use the car to get over the main road. Breakfast was good with a wide variety on offer. With no kettle and only a machine to dispense hot and cold drinks, offering coffee or sweet lemon tea, it would have been good to have been able to make a herbal tea.
The friendliness, comfort and free glas of wine! the quiet location after driving busy roads. A perfect stop along the road to the south
hotel very quiet hair in the bath tub
Staff friendly, everything worked in our room, BBC & CNN channels were great and not expected, breakfast included in the price. None, we received what we expected.
Very pleasant hotel with comfortable, clean furnishings and very satisfactory buffet breakfast ideal for anovernight stop whilst travelling to Italy with safe parking. We were rather tired so missed seeing the nearby restaurant. The food service machines offered a very limited range of food to heat in the micro wave but the small wine accompanying it was very good value. The hotel is very difficult to find at night in the dark. The road signs in the industrial site showing the way are very small and easily missed, it took us some time to find it
Near the highway. Very small rooms. No air conditioning. In the middle of an industrial estate.
location of hotel staff was not nice. this is the reason why french people get a bad rap. no one was rude to me, but no one was really freindly or seemed willing to help. got the feeling that they didn't like americans
Great hotel in Colmar. It was cold for us in the evening and the heater doesnt seemed to warm us well. When we check with the reception, the young gentleman was quick to offer us a mobile heater which he brought to our room in mins. Good service! The room bar comes with coffee maker and simple coffee powder and tea! I enjoy making the coffee myself! Overall it's a nice experience. I will highly recommend this hotel. The only setback is the location. We are on backpack and it's quite a distance to walk to the train station. Nothing that I don't like.
Proximity to the old part of town and thier grand platz. Parking availability.
We used this hotel as a stop over. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room very comfortable.
right next to the old city centre, huge free parking-lot one block away from the hotel distant and cold approach of staff. there is no airco, just a centrally regulated ventilationsystem which kept the room at a steady 23 C. even after complaining twice nothing changed. upon asking recommendation of vegetarian friendly places for dinner, the reception desk girl just mentioned the 2 tourist-traps around the corner. all in all we got a feeling of being done a favor for allowing us stay at their hotel.
Location is ok, u can get on foot to every part of colmar Nicest employees, better breakfast
secured parking garage
The staff were most helpful and the hotel was perfectly located.
Extremely clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The espresso maker in the room was a nice bonus.
The hotels location is excellent and the underground parking was very useful. We were very impressed with all the staff, particularly Jonathan in reception who couldn't have been more helpful during our stay and when making the booking online.
WIFI is a joke. Also, there should be a way to get ice yourself.
Its individuality and setting, plus its excellent restaurant. The staff were very friendly aand welcoming.
Excellent sitution in the old town of Colmar. Only room left when we made a booking was a suite, thus rather expensive, but worth it. Our family travels quite a lot and this was cleanest hotel we have seen.
A nice hotel in a beutyfull old house with a perfect central location
A pretty place to stay. The room and bathroom were very nice. The hotel staff was efficient and friendly.
Bathroom was excellent, bedroom very good, only the pink, purple, lilac colourscheme was a little excessive. The dinner menu looked over priced, so we found a restaurant with terrace on the water.
food was excellent room was quite small in comparison to price
Very little. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant A very small room, and bed. The reception staff were most unhelpful, in fact positively aggresive when it came to our complaints and request for a larger room and bed at the same price. There are no inside public rooms, with the exception of the restaurant, and I think that a 4 star rating for this hotel is quite unjustified. We have stayed in hotels worldwide, and this is near the bottom of our list. We shall not return.
Wonderful location within walking distance of all the sights. Very romantic setting, and very helpful front desk staff. No negative points.
Everything was good. The very good locating, charming atmosphere, comfortable rooms and pleasant stuff. The public parking is near the hotel (free of charge from 19-00 to 9-00). There is a good restaurant in the hotel.
The building is extremely beautiful and staff are nice and heplful. I enjoy my stay very much and sure I will go there again.
Very well positioned, with convenient parking. Easy access from trunk roads and easy to find.
Staff. We took a room with three beds. One of the bed was old and uncomfortable. Springs of the mattress prodded my back whole night.
they was very clear and new
Friendly staff Breakfast cost extra
No problems. Kind staff. Lovely city (colmar) No
Location is perfect and it was the cheapest hotel available. Free parking and wi-fi were a plus. This is an older hotel and the space was small. There was a lot of external noise from other rooms and from the street below.
Everything was ok. The breakfast buffet could be a little bit better.
Friendly and helpful man on reception when we arrived. Good location just on the edge of town. Huge free car park opposite although very hard to find a place! Reasonable price Run down and tired looking, everything just about worked but was falling apart. OK for price but wouldn't choose again.
Central location as it was easy to find The room was small and the washing facilities was poor, breakfast was also poor, not enough selection or value for money.
Room on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel was quiet. Very good value for money for a one night stay - 56 euros for a double/twin room. Mattress was not the greatest and the pillow was so thin it was almost non-existent.
Cleanliness, value for money, high quality restaurant. Parking on site was a bit limited.
Reasonable overnight stop
10 min drive From Colmar Small well run hotel and price quality very good
the location no
The hotel has very good prices/offers. It is located in a village which is close to Colmar, but you will probably need a car. Free parking. ok since it was just a 2* hotel. The room and the hotel in general did not look at all like the pictures when we booked it. Maybe they were photos from suites. It had no lift. The room was a bit cold.
Breakfast the toilet had no door!
meals were very good no shower stall, and no dresser ( bureau )
Location, Price, free and enough Parking Fairly basic room facilities
Hard to find, even with gps They charge 20 euro more for a room ,that they should .
The position of the hotel was good both to easily reach the center of Colmar and to visit surrounding towns. The smell in the room when we arrived.
outdoor pool cleanliness
Size of rooms and cleanliness
Comfortable room. Pleasant bar area. Free Wi Fi and use of computer. Pool. Nice breakfast in dining area where you can watch the planes come & go (next to airstrip) Location...difficult to find. Our sat nav took us into Route de Strasbourg but the Novotel is the opposite direction next to Colmar Airfield and situated in an industrial area.
A good stop over. Good food, friendly & clean No
Modern bright hotel with large comfortable rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent dining room and buffet breakfast was fantastic. Secure parking. Well positioned just outside Colmar and for a stop-over if travelling through France. Would definately recommend this excellent hotel.
The people at the front desk were very friendly.
Spacious room, free parking space inside hotel gates, easy to book. Obviously the previous guests had been smoking and the room had a stale stench of tobacco. Also all complimentary soaps, shampoos etc. were missing and I had to get them from the reception myself.
Nothing Rooms need renovation. The smell of cigarette smoke through the building.
The outside of the hotel did not look so nice, but we were very pleasantly surprised to find clean, modern, updated, very nice rooms.
Centrally located. Very nice rooms in typical style.
The hotel is situated on a beautiful cobblestone street in the heart of cute, quaint Colmar. If you visit in December, you'll also be staying next to one of the Christmas markets! Breakfast is not included, so just something to be aware of.
Central location in Colmar
room had air conditioning. Central location in the old town
Location was excellent for seeing Colmar. Hotel staff was less than helpful. Said that giving us directions from the train station was too hard so we were on our own.
THE LOCATION, THE STAFF, THE BUILDING. wE ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS HOTEL.
Ideally located in the very centre of Colmar. Car park nearby. Room overlooking typical Alsatian street.
It is well maintained for such and old hotel Mattress could be newer
Very central - well sign-posted within the town The parking situation is difficult. The carpark is heavily used by tourists to the town so getting a space is very difficult. I'm also not sure that parking is free (as mentioned on website) as there are parking meters in the carpark.
a littel aged
An old hotel in the centre of Colmar with lots of character. Our bedroom was comfortable, but quite noisy until early morning being right in the centre of the old town. We missed air conditioning as it was particularly hot whilst there - but what do you expect in a 400 year old hotel!
The location in the middle of the town
Very friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed modern rooms. Great bar and breakfast. The automatic lighting was a bit spooky but made us laugh. Using the toilet in the dark or having a light come on during the night when you stretched your legs.
Central position of this new hotel.
The design inside the hotel and decoration is really looked after and they used quality products modern, well designed. I loved the breakfast, every morning fresh bread. Its a very nice personal manage hotel the people are very nice and friendly. its small but we loved it. Infect we did not have any complain, it was great. When I have to give a comment on this question the only one thing is, This hotel is not mend for smokers. the hotel is smoke free.you can only smoke outside.
Pascal and his wife were wonderful and were most helpful to make our stay in Colmar lovely. Quatorze is a new boutique hotel and everything is splendid- down to the teapot, the rainshower!, even the geranium smelling bath gel is divine. The room and artwork throughout hotel are fun and the quilts puffy and crisp. We stayed two more nights and look forward to returning- so centrally located to strolll to Colmar's museums and village.
Excellent service and well staffed; Very acommodating-even called me in Germany to clarify what type room I wanted for stay. Boutique style rooms. Historical building dating from 16 th century. Excellent security during local Wine Fest. Nothing
The people were very friendly, they have a very nice romantic garden were you can relax and drink a good glas of wine. The churchbells started to bell at 06.00 a.m. every quartier, so we were awake very early in the morning, which is not always that pleasant when you are on a holiday. There was not a proper shower and the chairs in the garden can use a pillow in the back.
Hotel Deux Clefs was a wonderful experience, very friendly, excellently located, great staff and convenient to travelling in the area. Would definitely recommend it to friends. During very hot days it might be a good idea to bring a fan along.
Eventhough French speaking, the lady at the reception took extra pains to help us in giving directions in English. Very helpful indded.
The hotel is located in the charming little village of Turckheim. It is only about 6 Km from Colmar which made it convenient to visit the city but retire to the country side for the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful and seemed very genuine in their approach to customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would stay there again. For us, the following was not a dislike but it may be for some. We stayed on the third floor and there was no elevator. However, we knew that in advance and packed very light accordingly for our stay. We took to our room only what we needed for our stay there and left everything else in the car so there was no problem. For those who pack a lot, the hotel staff will carry your bags to your room, so again there is no problem. There is also private parking for the hotel.
It's location, near Colmar
Convenient hotel in a very nice old building in a lovely town. Decent, friendly service. Some typical limitations of old buildings: lack of space (bathrooms in particular). Recommended half board not very exciting
A tranquail step back in time ,centraly located to many beautiful sites and vinyards.Staff very welcoming. Total relaxation! nothing ! everything was perfect
The Hotel was very comfortable, clean and centrally placed. It was a great place from which to explore the surrounding countryside.
Very friendly and nice staff. Family room was super nice with 2 bath rooms, one was very exclusive. It was a bit too hot in the rooms. No Ac or fans. Church bells starts early in the morning and goes on forever.
