Should have done Airbnb
The nonsmoking room smelled like cigarette butts, the hand towel rack was broken off, I was concerned that I was going to get bed bugs from the bed sheets, and the breakfast was store-bought pastries.
I think they were in the middle of remodeling this hotel because there were literally sort-of finished projects all around. The walls had been freshly painted (one good thing), but they were paint stains literally all of the rug and tile (next to be replaced?). It just made me question the overall care of the room, and hence its cleanliness. Although I didn't notice anything terribly gross. It just looked like everything was in the middle of being refurbished. The location is not that great either. It's right next to major roadways (heard sirens and large trucks go by all night), and the roads in the area are also currently under construction which made finding this place super fun (not...). We also had to switch from our first room because the bathroom totally reeked of weed. I completely understand this place is 55$/night, but I have stayed in much more well kept places for the same price. It's really not that hard to put something over the floor before painting...
The bed was so soft and there were no bugs
I loved everything
