The hotel Ullensvang is one of the most famous hotels in Scandinavia. It has been owned and run by the Utne family since 1864 when it was a small guesthouse. The famous composer Edvard Grieg found inspiration for some of his most well known pieces while relaxing there and his humble cabin still remains in the garden of the hotel overlooking the fjord. This large white building is centred around a historical centre section, but has been extended and modified countless times over the years. This landmark hotel is located on the banks of the famous Hardangerfjord looking out over the water towards the magnificent mountains beyond.
Utne Hotel is located by the Hardanger Fjord, a 40-minute drive from Voss. The hotel dates from 1722 and is protected by the Riksantikvaren. It houses an 18th century dining room, and offers unique, historical-style accommodation. Rooms at Hotel Utne are located in the main building. They include private bathrooms with a shower. Rooms are without TVs and radios to preserve the old-fashioned atmosphere. Breakfast and meals based on fresh, local ingredients are served in the historical dining room. Drinks are available at the Mor Utne Stova Pub. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The staff in the 24 hour reception can help arrange hiking, skiing and cider tasting. The Hardanger Folk Museum is located within 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. The city of Bergen is a 75.8 miles drive away.
Set on a farm just 657 feet from the shores of Hardangerfjord, this property offers simple accommodation with free Wi-Fi. The on-site restaurant specialises in Norwegian and Thai food. At Ullensvang Gjesteheim, all rooms have a seating area, desk and wash basin. Some rooms have a private bathroom with shower. Shared showers and toilets are located in the hallway. Guests can fish in the River Opo, which runs through the garden. Bicycle rentals and hiking in Hardangervidda National Park are also popular activities. Mikkelparken Activity & Water Park is 4.3 miles from Gjesteheim Ullensvang.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, small but good restaurant, beautiful views!
Cons: It's a bit of a walk up from Odda itself, but a beautiful one! It's also a stop on the shuttle to Trolltunga which is really helpful!
Pros: We were in Odda to do the Trolltunga hike and the staff was very helpful in giving us advice for the hike and scheduling a taxi for us to get to the guided tour on time. Clean facilities and good free breakfast.
Cons: Only part I didn't like was that the wifi didn't really work in the room, we had to go to the lobby to use it.
Adjacent to a golf course, Trolltunga Hotel is a great choice for a stay in Odda. Free self parking is an added perk, and guests can keep active with onsite hiking/biking trails, mountain biking, and rowing/canoeing. Other features include a terrace and a garden.
