Staff very friendly..food reasonable...location peaceful.as it was a special birthday celebration the hotel send a bottle of cava to the room which was a very nice gesture. The room was disappointing and nowhere near as nice as portrayed in the photos..it is in need of updating as the decor and furniture are shabby.the location is a good distance from any other bars etc and the price of drinks in this hotel is ridiculous..one bottle of water 3.50 euros.
good quality for the price and a great breakfast Pool was a little dirty and for the business user with an early flight a little noisy at night
Situated in a newly created village, this hotel offers plenty of space for its guests. The rooms are large, luxury and clean; the staff is friendly and always tries to listen to you. The restaurant is open from 8:00 until 10:30h for breakfast, and from 20:00 until 22:30h foor dinner. The garden is large, there are no less than 4 swimming pools. The hotel is only separated by a park from the beach. Additional services (Spa!) are available. Furthermore the hotel is ideally situated for trips to the varied countryside. There is plenty of space to park your car. If you are with a rental-car, you will be happy. If you can't make it at 20:00h, chances are your dinner will not be so good. The food is served buffet-style, sometimes cooked an hour ago and therefore old, dry or simply not warm. In other words, the staff at the restaurant needs better timing and insight in guests' needs. Nobody used the underground garage to park his car - it is way overpriced.
The resort was beautiful and the 3 swimming pools were fantastic. Great kids activities with staff who were lots of fun. The food was very good too. The guest rooms were large with balconies overlooking the pools and beach. We enjoyed the spa as well. We were disappointed with the beach area so stayed at the pools the whole time. Unfortunately, our son got bed bugs from sleeping on the pull-out sofa bed. The hotel immediately changed our room.
Very relaxing place, not much going on. You can really get away from it all -perfect! Restaurant food/ breakfast/dinner just ok, should be better. Food ordered in the bar/ room service cold, microwaved (burger/pizza), embarrassing to eat or complain!
good location with gate right onto the promenade/beach. We walked out of the gate the following morning and followed the coast into the natural park. food was dull and hotel could have been anywhere in the world. Fine if you just want the all inclusive package holiday experience. Not much of a beach though.
Good food , very good vlue for money
A confort hotel with a nice room. Thisis a hotel for families with small children. It's noisy and in my opinion the food and services is of a 3 star hotel. Watchout for your towels at the pool ad they tend to get stolen due to the price the hotel charge for them. Air conditioner at room didn't work between 12am and 8am and the hotel staff told me it was normal due to the fact that at this time all rooms had their ac on! Unbelievable!!
Beautiful hotel, lovely food. Hydrotherapy pool unsuitable for 9 year old and 5 year old. No table tennis balls, had to buy our own. Paddle tennis cost 6 euros per shot. No bicycles suitable for 5 year old.
friendliness and helpfulness of staff. clean, well planned and eco friendly
The service was excellent, the location was great (free street parking) and breakfast timetable was extensive so we could sleep in. Breakfast quality was fantastic. I recommend the spa facilities.
This is a ultra-modern hotel with very friendly staff and lots of open spaces. It is only 10 minutes walk to the centre of the beattiful Las Negros Villages which has a fantastic setting and a few good bars and seafood restaurants. It is an idylic place to visit and the hotel is in a convenient but quiet location. The hotel is almost impossible to find because it is not in the centre with the other hotels and there are no signs anywhere and no obvious street names. We had to ask 3 times. On entering Las Negros you come to a large roundabout. Take the 1st exit, up a slight hill and the hotel is 300m on the right at the north end of the village.
Great location. Very nice staff. Wonderful room view. Hard to find as no signs in town.
The location was excellent for accessing the nearby natural park of Cabo de Gata. The town of Nijar was within walking distance and very well served with shops, restaurants etc. We visited over Christmas and the food was excellent, with a very good choice of breakfast dishes.
We liked the location and the atmosphere. The setting for fantastic and the attention to detail with the Moorish design of gardens, waterways etc., was excellent.
When we arrived we were invited for a lovely meal although we didn't subscrive in advance. Our room had lovely atmosphere, de bed was good, floor-heating a relaxing douche, privacy. At 31 decembre we joined a great meal, very well cared, with a very cheerful international company and had a lovely evening. We went to nice coast (Cabo dia gato), to the mountains and Granada. The hotel is outside but close (walking distance) to a nice village Nigar. The people of the hotel are very friendly, easy-going and helpful.
Very beautiful location. The owner was friendly and helpful with lots of information about the area. Quiet, off-the-beaten path, excellent food, comfortable bed and good shower!. Nice change of pace after hotels in the big cities.
Typical andalucian style ... excellent food very sensitively prepared by johaness the owner No
The breakfast, the scenery, the beauty of the place
Loved the hotel! We spent the last 3 days of our holiday, visiting the spectacular nearby beaches in the nature reserve Cabo de Gata. I couldnot have made a better decision. The pool has a decent size, which is important to me. Staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel at home.We arrived after midnight (but no complaints) and were immediatly invited to use the swimming pool and have a glass of wine next to it.Very much enjoyed the magic of the location, the hospitality of the staff and the wonderful breakfast! Ten out of ten. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
A hidden gem in the hills! The cottage we stayed in was very tastefully decorated, had a wonderful rain shower and a lovely view. A truly tranquil place to relax and unwind.
Wonderful location in a real Almerian village. Completely quiet, with no traffic noise, but with the parking space necessary for the car. Very clean with interesting decor. We would prefer butter to margarine for breakfast!
Tasteful and comfortable interiors, very clean, friendly staff and owner, great value for money. Breakfast was included in the price. Parking is expensive in the hotel garage, but there was free parking in the nearby streets. Unfortunately no one spoke English at the hotel. Wireless internet was free, but only available in the pool area.
The hotel is gloriously Spanish and the owners could not do enough for us and our 5year old grandson. The roads allround Tabernas are so narrow, although parked in the hotel garage, it cost 10€ a day and pretty hairy experience to get out.this is an observation not a complaint.
staff brilliant, food tremendous, total lack of english language a challenge-but fun. The beds were as hard as the road outside
Had most thing needed, bed, swimming pool. Thought 10 euros for parking expensive, otherwise you needed to park half mile up the road and walk. Customers need to be told difficult to find, roads very narrow and very little in the village.
Nice hotel with country style decorations originally coming from Ikea:) Very very very clean and tidy. Warm welcome from the owners The city dies not have even a single restaurant to have a dinner, however the hotel provides dinner on request. I was really disappointed from the town - nothing to do, nowhere to go
immaculately clean hotel
Very pleasant casa rural with good decor and facilities. Plunge pool and surround very refreshing especially in the heat of summer. Parking in the garage attached to the house was useful as street parking would be difficult in the village. We had requested an evening meal which really was very basic and unimaginative. Postre was a Pasturized Natilla served in a plastic pot. As there are a few bars and restaurants in the village eating out is a better option. Would recommend the hotel but not for food.
Very rustic, rooms all individual thanks to the artistic painting skills of the proprietress, an accomplished artist. Very clean, beautifully decorated, Very friendly and courteous, nothing too much trouble. A little hard to find, as although Tabernas is a small village, the signs for the Casa were difficult to find. We couldnt find a restaurant in Tabernas that was open.Had to drive to Almeria. Although we could have asked our Hostess to provide a meal, freshly cooked. But plenty of Cafe Bars which provide Tapas. You need to speak a smattering of Spanish as very little English spoken.
Unusual house with a mix of new and old decor tastefully done. Good shower in modern bathroom. Friendly owner. Breakfast was put out at 8am and stayed out until late morning in a warm room. Cheese and yogurts were warm and coffee stale, when we eat at 10am.
Tranquil setting. A very relaxing break. it was immaculately maintained with a charm of it's own, would recommend. No problem with the water you get bottle water in the room.
We enjoyed the surroundings & lovely beaches. The apartment was spacious & very well laid out. Very convenient for countryside & sea. We particulary liked the rural villages & exploring & would definitly stay in the same place again.
The staff were helpful and kind. The hotel has a nice atmosphere. We took our dog with us and she settled very well. Planed to stay 2 nights but liked it so much we stayed an extra night. The situation of the hotel is in the country, but it is easy to get by car to San Jose and many local attractions
I was beginning to have second thoughts after reading a couple of negative reviews, but we had a really good experience here – from use of the guest laundry to the delicious breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. The accommodation was very comfortable – we didn’t find the room dark – the shutters could be opened - and the staff were nothing but helpful. In spite of our faltering and very limited Spanish, every effort was made to understand and help us – from recommending nearby beaches to explaining the workings of the washing machine. When I admired the fig trees outside the laundry we were even offered a fig each. I think it would be a great base for exploring all the beaches in the area. Thought it was especially good value.
For to stay in Cabo de Gata by car is the best in price and location. The swimmingpool was closed
the relaxed atmosphere we felt rather isolated as we cant speak any spanish, and the hotel didnt cater for vegetarians at all, and the food overall was not very good
We were very impressed with the standard .of food , accomodation was very comfortable with 2 double beds in each room and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.Plenty of pool side entertainment all day with fun and games for kids and grown ups.We really enjoyed our stay and would return. Hotel got very busy from July 1st ,causing people to have to que for dinner . The majority of residents were spanish and the staff had very little english also general information displayed was only in Spanish.
for a one night stay the hotel was very good close to the airport and the buffet for the evening meal was good which saved the problem of looking for somewhere to go . the only drawback was that we were unable to get a breakfast before we left. Not being able to get get anything to eat before we left the hotel
large room plus balconey
The buffet breakfast and evening meal were excellent. Safe parking. Airy marble vestibule. Good value for money. Views of sea. The suites are situated in a new development which was rather sterile and unimaginitive.
Good location for my business, excellent friendly staff, comfortable room, internet available in reception area.
Everything, the staff, the food, the room and the unexpect3ed entertainment. We enjoyed it so much that we intend to go back for a long weekend.
Rooms (Suites) are seperated in 2 room, one for a TV or as well an sleeping room for one person, the other room a sleeping room for max. 4 persons. Big and nice swimming-pool. Breakfast very good
all cafeteria not enough selection of snack food
no other english people.Other guests and staff very friendly
Quiet location comfortable apartments with a great view. A good restaurant and friendly staff.
I liked the pleasant friendly service, the spacious apartment, the food, and attention to detail. At times the drains in the kitchen/ bathroom were a bit smelly.
Rest, peace and quiet... Information about what to do... Striped pants are hot!
We very much enjoyed our two nights at Bitacora as we liked the relaxed, friendly management and the spacious apartment.
Very Spanish, wonderful location, very quiet. You must take advantage of a massage and a spa bath on your stay, Quiet courtyard for relaxing. Very good continental breakfast, Try to get a 'room with a view', well worth the extra.
We loved the view and location of the hotel. Wonderful surroundings and wildlife nearby and very peaceful. Some communication problems with staff. Hot water wasn't available for a couple of hours our first day.
The Spa treatments are excellent, the hotel has a slightly run down feel to it and the pool was closed when we visited. The location is peaceful and the food was good.
The location was in the mountains but had a fantastic view across Almeria. The natural spring water at 58c and the roman baths were amazing
