Accurate staff at reception. Excellent breakfast. Good bed.
Central location near railway station. Staff polite. Good buffet breakfast - wide variety and good quality. Hotel in shabby condition. Compares unvafourably with other 4* hotels. No better than 3 stars at best. Single rooms very small. Like stying in student hostel. First room strong smell of smoke despite being non-smoking. Second room acceptable for smoke smell. Same small size. Very small single bed which dipped in middle and very soft. Fabric of hotel showed signs of overdue refurbishment. Stains on walls, missing pictures with hooks still on walls, numerous tears in wallpaper and bashes and scrapes on walls and door frames.
Excellent staff - very helpful and friendly
convenince in distance to the station it was dated , the walls were dirty
very nice breakfast buffet bed too soft, too hot to be may
The location was convenient to the station and inner city. The restaurant offered good meals at resonable prices and the breakfast buffet was well presented and offered a good variety. Service was friendly and efficient. I missed a small fridge in the room as well as a tea tray and kettle.
Location was perfect Second time in Haarhuis and second time when our windows were extremely wet. Aircondition was on all night but didn´t help. Makes air in the room bad
The staff were excellent It was too short!
The service was great and the hotel staff really paid attention to the details. The taxi arrangement was slower than I expected but was manageable.
Close location to local town Undergoing refurbishment. Generally the hotel looked 'very tired'. Hotel lift was ancient,
Very friendly staff, good bed, good shower, good restaurant, good breakfast, easy parking, All in all excellent, the only monir detail: no hairdryer in the room.
It was easy to access. Plenty of parking space. Nice restaurant and food. Room was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.
We came to visit the Airborne Museum and Cemetery at Oosterbeek and were pleased that we chose this hotel rather than stay in Arnhem. The location was good, rooms bright and fresh with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent! The restaurant menu was expensive but 1015 mins walk takes you to alternatives. We were only staying 1 night and did not have time to use the facilities available - we will stay longer next time!
low price for a hotel of its kind nice bar breakfast not so good
the breakfast and the price
Good service on some extra help we needed bij Mr. Marijn
Very good breakfast buffet. My children loved the free internet access and playstation! Although we requested a non-smoking room, there was still a lingering smell of smoke in our room. The children's room was fine though.
Easy to find. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
I did not like the layout of my room with the shower in the centre of the room between the toilet and the hand basin? The room was very cold and the temperature controller appeared to be preset at a setting which meant it was uncomfortable to sit and work. No minibar? insufficient desk lighting to work. For the cost, I do not think it was good value for money.
Clean room, very good food, perfect localisation.
The views from our room and the comfort of the room. Room service for coffee, a little slow.
Situated within walking distance of town centre Room smelt damp and fixtures were broken
The friendliness of the staff. Excellent food and very comfortable rooms.Breakfast very good value for money. Good location.
The beautiful view A terrible noise from the terrasse until 00.30, impossible to sleep. The hotel must turn down the ligt at 23.00 to give peace to sleep. For that reason we will never stay there again!!!
Great views over the Rhine. Good breakfast - although not included in the price. Rooms were very clean and modern Two separate beds joined to form a double bed. Prefer a double bed. Hotel is a 10 min walk into the centre of town
The Rijnview from the room was beautiful.
Nice view of the river
Location on the river Rhine. Double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together.
The river view A good walk from the town though there were bus stops close by.
Needs better lighting in room, especially a reading light
firendly personel, good service, access to hotel was excellent, food was good but as always could be improved
the room looked clean, however, the rubbish from the previous user was shoved under the bed! the food in the resturant was horrible.
The room was very nice, clean, and big. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The facilities were very nice.
Location was convenient to national park. Parking available. Pet friendly. Food in restaurant was good, but dinner menu is pricy. Confusing and not very clear on how to find rooms; elevator opens into a conference area. A hotel map near the main elevator would be useful or a sign pointing the direction towards rooms. Billed twice for one room for one night. Hotel was unresponsive in resolving billing error which they acknowledged at checkout. Based upon difficulty and frustration in resolving their billing error, recommend anyone visiting this hotel pay in cash. If a light sleeper, bring earplugs; conversations/noise from hallway is easily heard in rooms.
Very nice and comfortable facility
peace and quite, good setting hire of bicycles a little expensive
In general the rooms were comfortable, staff friendly, wi-fi connection was good 1. The scrolled eggs for breakfast were the worst eggs I eve had - too hard and dry, 2. there were no comb at the reception, 3. there were no minibar, 4. the bed - instead of 1 big matrass on the bed there were 2 small ones (I hate it) - when I asked to change the room for the room with big bed (without overpaying)- they refused, just offered almost twice more expensive room.
Very nice hotel and location
Friendliness of staff especially when organising a minicoach to take our group into Arnhem for the evening. I thought the beds were a little uncomfortable
Good quiet location, good breakfast
Good value for money; feels like premium hotel for average price
situation, peaceful, excellent breakfast
The hotel is excellently situated for visiting the Oosterbeek battlefield areas of September 1944 (The Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein' is only a 10 - 15 minutes walk away). Although the Arnhem bridge is considerably further from the hotel bicycles and taxis are readily available from the hotel reception. Throughout our stay the staff could not be more polite and helpful. The rooms we very clean and of a good size (no tea/coffee facilities!) and I can recommend the buffet style breakfast, a real 'challenge' for those with big appetites!! I would definitely stay there again and would recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of visiting this historic area of Holland.
It is well-equipped, in a lovely part of the country, ideal location for exploring the countryside. Convenient for me to visit friends locally. Staff attentive and efficient. None
I came to The Netherlands to visit family. The day I arrived my sister-in-law and I spent many hours in your lounge. We ate lunch, had tea had drinks and snacks. Later my other sister-in-law joined us and then my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. It was very relaxing. It would have been easier if my room had been closer to my son's.
reception staff were very helpful as were the restaurant staff. The setting in which the local is situate is very nice. food in restaurants was expensive
Excellent. Very nice hotel. Worth the stay.
This was our third visit to this hotel, and we enjoyed it as much as ever. Enormous, comfortable bed, very welcoming and helpful staff and a super breakfast. The lounge areas are particularly inviting, well used and with a good evening atmosphere, where you can buy affordable food on the lounge menu if you want to avoid the higher priced restaurant. Perfectly located hotel for Oosterbeek and Arnhem, with a bus stop right outside. We hired bikes also, for 12 euros a day. We will definitely come again. There was a problem with the hot water one morning, but every guest was given complimentary bottles of wine and sparkling water as an apology. The water in the pool wasn't warm enough for us.
Standard 3 star hotel in nice location. Kind staff. no
Relatively new hotel. Nice large open reception and generous sized rooms. Beautiful restaurant and plenty of attentive staff.
Very new, clean, modern, pleasant hotel--suite with 2 bedrooms had nice balcony & view--for four people it was a super deal! Pool was rather small.
Lovely large family room and large bathroom. The connecting room for the kids was perfect! Very new and spacious hotel (open dec 2009). Good bar and good breakfast. The 3 room service that stood in the lobby looked completely out of place and some staff members need more service training and "smile" training
Near highway, good parking, spacey room Whirlpool didn't work. Bad (for make up) lighting above mirror in bathroom. Lift entrance wasn't clearly marked/noticeable (ground floor0.)
We found our family room very spacious, comfortable and clean and were very happy to have such a lovely room. The swimming pool was wonderful too. We will certainly be coming again.
I found the room spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff, on the whole, were excellent.
Just 1 night sleep; the bed slept very well and breakfast was great.
The setting was excellent quiet and the grounds were some thing else and the bed very comfortable The breakfast was very eexpensive
Excellent food and location, plus artwork
We liked the location and the interior of the hotel. The staff was very fast and friendly. The hotel room was very cold when we arrived in it so we had to wait for a few hours for it to warm up to get more of a comfortable feeling. We would have preffered to be served the first cup of coffee/ tea at breakfast instead of sorting it all out yourself.
Excellent location and perfect company Hotel and restaurant are rather pretentious, the meal and wine served during dinner did not quite live up to the expectations one would have for a restaurant that is recommended in Lekker. "Champagne breakfast" was served without a glass of bubbles, but with scrambled eggs though. Unfortunately, these eggs looked more like freshly blended baby food - same holds for the tasteless apple pie served with the coffee.
The hotel was in a beautiful location, but still convenient to cycle into Arnhem. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and despite having opened 4 days earlier, the operation seemed to run efficiently and very smoothly. The price! We thought it was very expensive.
a fantastic location in the woods, great for walking, very friendly service and very comfortable rooms, love to come back a coffee/thee corner in the room would make everything perfect
Quiet hotel with friendly staff. The room was spotlessly clean. The location-good for the open air museum which we had planned to visit, but ran out of time. Went to the Airborne Museum that was nearby. Breakfast was great- our waitress very friendly There were steps that are tall and winding, but this is not unusual for Holland. We just carried what we needed for the night upstairs. They did mention the stairs online so we were prepared for some stairs.
The staff was spectacular! Our suite, #21, was beautifully decorated and very comfortable even though it was literally a loft (bed and TV above bathroom, sitting area, and 'balcony.' The restaurants in the immediate area were excellent and stay open late. When checking in, be absolutely sure to go and see your room in person before you take your luggage up. This is a boutique hotel; every room is completely different. One of our party had trouble sleeping due to QR code wallpaper. Another room had bugs.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room faced the street which was very noisy late into the night and then again in the early morning. We got little sleep.
Staff were very helpful and kept the kitchens open for us...the food was excellent and very good value.
Good clean large bedrooms, once you'd navigated the labyrinth of corridors. The service in the evening was excellent but there was not a lot else to commend it. Labyrinth of corridors and stairs was not good, with a lift by name but not reality. Buffet breakfast was more hunt the waiter to ask for the buffet to be replenished.
Used as a base for touring the area
Very convenient as a base for commemoration events taking place in the area, pleasant situation in the small town of Elst and with off-road parking.
good service, sightseen
warm & friendly, easy access, very quiet.
good villiage sightseen, good hotel service no
Warm welcome, staff attentive & very helpful, room was spacious, clean, very comfortable beds, bathroom bits & pieces were a nice touch, quiet, but stayed open late.Food was very nice and parking was secure & free.Breakfast was excellent.
It was clean, quiet, good beds, friendly staff, good restaurant with good prices, good breakfast. Smallish rooms, but ok. Good location in a small town near Arnhem.
Beautiful little hotel with attached restaurant in a beautiful little village, just a short distance from the railway station. Friendly staff, lovely, comfortable, quiet rooms, nice breakfast, good food and drink in the restaurant, all at a very reasonable price Nothing
Quiet, good breakfast, good transport links, helpful & friendly staff The beds were not firm enough.
The friendly, but professional attitude of the staff
Freindly service, a good restaurant and free wifi all made an enjoyable stay.
excellent location . lovely small town with plenty of small restaurants etc. close to main routes and larger towns. Would like to stay again & will reccomend to others. n/a
comfortable rooms friendly staff good food and bar did not get the light fixed in the bathroom of room17 the rotary club took over the dining room and bar on our last night - no where to relax for hotel guests.
Excellent place. Good surroundings. Motorcycle friendly.
Pleasant staff. Good food. As the weather was very hot the room was uncomfortable. Air con is a must.
Great Hotel, Friendly Service
Nice and clean and very helpful staff
A quite charming period hotel with very comfortable rooms and handily placed for the city centre
Romm 7..the balcony and the view. Breakfast was very fresh, and excellent
It is a fabulous, totally charming place. While just around corner from train station it is in a very pleasant quiet locale. Nothing.
the excellent service and friendlyness of staff. The beautiful buildig and rooms, the very nice breakfast. no
the hotel is beautiful, it is near a wonderful walking park it is a bit noisy, near the bus line and women who serve the breakfast are very grumpy
The staff was very friendly, the room was beautifull, and it was a fantastic visit.
Very friendly service and attention by the hotel staff. Good loungemusic inlcuding the candles. Room having a very nice balcony. no place the store the bicycles safely but I had a full prooof chain in my luggage. Just something to be prepared for.
Balcony was nice; bed very comfortable; breakfast nice; staff accomadating staying up until 10pm for my late arrival. There was no floor service at breakfast which would've been very welcome, especially at the price of €125+ per night!
Excellent breakfast, nice decor, good view and enjoyable. Bedding too much for late summer.
Very nice and helpful hotel staff, close to highway, but quiet and with directly enter beautiful forest.
Lianne, the receptionist, was most helpful with her assistance in translating my placard message into Dutch. The restaurant staff were equally solicitous at breakfast time and whenever I ordered a cup of tea or coffee. And when I forgot to pay for my tea once, they did not chase me for it, even though I didn´t remember to pay till about six hours later.
The tranquility of the location No coffee making facility in rooms No hair-dryer in bathroom
Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean and pleasant rooms. Open and airy reception and dining area.
although a late arrival and with no reservation we were accommodated in the hotel restaurant were we experienced excellent cuisine
Excellent value for money, friendly and efficient staff, excellent food, good location
Service about how to go and come back from Gelredrome(Rieu)//good parking
Excellent food great service friendly staff Shower head in bathroom 208 wouldn't stay still!
Location is convenient. Easily accessible to the shopping areas and food outlets. Internet access is good for business travellers. The curtains for the toilet should be black out type. Light coming in through the toilet door to the room disturb ing sleep. The escape route for the Hotel is not well designed; need to put a fire extinguisher at each floor landing area for fire fighting purpose.
Location near the train station Shabby room, poor ventilation, slowest lift in the world
Very convenient to central train and bus station. Helpful friendly staff. Accomating for early breakfast. Room size good Cleanliness adequate but not exceptional for the room. Rooms facing station area are noisy at night as would be expected.
stylish, good breakfast, casual and very central a little bit noisy as it was near the station & bus depot
It is very close to the train station. We do not care for what we call, rubberized matress pads. They are very hot to sleep on. We are not smokers, but we could smell smoke coming into the room from other rooms.
staff and breakfast the hotel is noisy
Nice, clean room, good bed. Free internet.
The atmosphere was very nice. Nice staff. The internet is wireless and for free, but the signal is difficult to get in the room. You have to go to the bar. This is for business purposes a little difficult.
Very friendly and helpful staff, would definitely stay again.
Very friendly welcome and helpful staff. Room was excellent size compared to others in Europe (for price); lovely breakfast room; very well located right opposite bus and train station (and easy to find); nice little extra - complimentary souvenir bottle of wine
we arrived early and they kindly let us check in early , we just left our bags and went out for the day
The beds were excellent, however the pillows were poor. The breakfast-buffet was great!
location in polder Ooij very noisy room
A really excellent hotel - well placed for exploring both the city of Nijmegen and the surrounding countryside. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. Very reasonable price. Excellent breakfast, included in the price. I booked three rooms for our party of four and everyone in the group was very pleased with the hotel. There is nothing our party of four did not like.
No internet for free
It was in a very peaceful area we were given twin beds instead of double. were told to be quiet on returning to the hotel
quiet place no refrigerator at the room
The hotel is nice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We reserved a family room and it was comfortable. We ate both nites at the hotel restaurant and dinner was very good. Breakfast in the morning was great too. I definitely would stay again. Our room was located near a elevator and stairs so we could hear doors slamming and people walking by, so that was not good.
breakfast started at 8am - could start a bit earlier
Nice, quiet and clean room
There was no wireless connection at my room, and the internet connection was to expensive, anyhow it should be for free.
Easy to find, good car park, good food although the food needs to be kept hot, we found the breakfast was only warm.
Very nice reception. Nice people, organized, well informed
Room clean. Breakfast was good. Friendly. Very close to Motorway but no noise. Reception open till 11pm so great if stuck on motorway. Bit expensive at 72€ in August, but nothing else comes close to price and with a twin room. Used as a stopover ready for short 1.5hr trip to hoek van holland for ferry home.
the room was a lil small but the room was also cozy for a small family. i'd book again
Nice Hotel, warm and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. I will be realy glad to come back to this hotel again!!!
Excellent Staff, Cleanliness.
Access to the hotel from the highway is easy as the hotel is next to it. But as a result, the noise of the higway can be annoying. WiFi connection has a relative low pass band and disconnect quite often.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and made us very welcome Somehow I never quite get the rooms I book,,,eg. this visit I booked 3 doubles and 4 twin..the twin rooms are important because middle age lEnglish ladies do not like sharing a bed . 1 of the rooms we were given had to be changed..we were given a double rather than the twin requested. Easily corrected but annoying given that the rooms were booked more than 6 months in advance.
Very obliging staff especially at meal times...we were a large group and our meals were very good value. Unfortunately there was a mistake with the bills..I asked for all rooms and breakfasts to be charged to me and all other drinks and meals to be charged to each room. There must of been a difficulty with translation because exactly the oposite was done...However the receptionist worked very hard and sorted all the bills out to everyones satisfaction.
Nice, clean (basic) room. The breakfast was a bit poor on choice of toppings/ eggs.
This hotel was perfect for anyone who wanted a nice hotel, centrally located and within walking distance of the train, bus, shopping and restaurants. Staff was very nice. Would stay again.
central clean room personally needs dedicated shower parking not close enough
good location no tea / coffee making facilities in room
There wer six of us and the manin reason was to visit the Hartenstein in Oosterbeeek. This hotel was perfectly situated near the train staiton and main bus station. Ideal for shops and bars. Perfectly clean good staff we only experienced the breakfast whic was very good though if i was being picky slightly they were slow to replenish the hot food but trust me that was only a minor gripe. All of us said the we would have no hesitation booking this hotel again. no
staff were helpful and the hotel was very central. The room and bathroom were very clean and up to date. Access to the hotel by car was not easy, a little advice before arrival would have been helpful
Location, big and and a clean room (104), restaurant at the hotel, friendly personnel. The room was a little bit cold but the beds/blankets were warm... :)
The hotel is easily located from Arnhem train station and can be reached in a minute's walk. It is located above a greek restaurant with the main reception accessed through the restaurant entrance. The room was modern and clean with spacious twin beds and good shower / bath facilities with a monsoon shower. You can also access the main shopping and tourist district within a minutes walk. The tourist information office is on the same street. We were required to pay on checking into the hotel but could not be provided with a receipt until the main receptionist started work. Though a fridge was provided in the room, no other drinks facilities were available E.G., kettle, tea, coffee, or minibar. I recommend you walk to the station to buy these before returning to the hotel as we were charged eur5.00 For two cups of tea even though the menu said they cost eur1.85 Each.
Well-equipped room, central location, inclusive broadband internet. Dinner in restaurant. Asked if I could have one dish, but was only offered buffet. No menu was offered. Had only starter from buffet, but hotel tried to charge for full meal. Restaurant should offer clearer pricing and product range to travelling guests, who may have come a long distance and do not want a full Greek buffet.
Bathroom very clean and good standard of equipment Room very small single despite my having booked a twin room ( because that was the only room that was available at the time of booking ). Still charged for a twin room. Receptionist on departure spoke only Turkish, German and Dutch. No English. Would not return.
