Cons: Bar closed at 11… And some people were not very friendly.
Pros: Felt at home
Cons: Would have liked to select room since a frequent visitor
Pros: Ease at getting reservation and comfort of the room.
Staff especially friendly and courteous and ready to assist.
Pros: Room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and took care to offer assistance.
Pros: The room was designed well. You walk through the door into the living room and the bed room is down a hall through a door. You have access to the bath room with out going into the bed room. When your kids go to bed early, this is a great set up!
Cons: No full kitchen in the room
Pros: Beds were comfy, linens were clean
Cons: Pool was cloudy and gave my son pseudomonas foliculitis, gross!!
There were at least 10 scary looking German shepherds in training to become border patrol, drug sniffing, ATF etc, that were impossible to avoid bc they needed bathroom breaks and were constantly being taken by their owners through the lobby
Pros: I liked the quiet, clean rooms. The pool and spa were wonderful after a long day of driving. The Desk clerk was very helpful when we checked in and suggested the Houlihan's restaurant for dinner.
The servings were not only delicious, they were humongous! Overall, great stay, will do this again!
Cons: I was under the impression this hotel was closer to Luray Caverns but the quality of the place overcame this confusion

We were so lucky to come on a super moon weekend - the grounds were lovely for our late evening stroll around the grounds. The horses were very friendly and the innkeeper let us feed them some apple cookies. The house's remodeling is just beautiful. We spend most of our time on the back porch sipping wine, eating cheese and playing dice. We dragged ourselves away with a picnic dinner to the twilight polo, then had a great time chatting up a fellow next to us who was a polo player himself, as well as a steeple chaser. The breakfast was huge. I wish they had asked us about dietary needs - just started Weight Watchers and would have appreciated a less sugary fruit course I could have filled up on.
Pros: The owner and staff were real horse people, not just living in horse country. Very friendly and helpful. Twilight Polo at Great Meadow was a blast on Saturday night. Loved the snacks and wine on the porch and the library.
Cons: Just a personal peeve. I hate too many pillows, and once we took off all the pillows and the quilt there was no room to move around the room.
When visiting Warrenton, Black Horse Inn is a great choice to consider. Guests can keep active with onsite horse riding/rentals, and free perks include continental breakfast.
Cons: We arrived at the Hamptonn Inn in Front Royal, Virginia, without a moment to spare, and needed to dress and prepare for a wedding quickly. Although it was after three o'clock, our room was not ready. We had to dress, curl hair, brush teeth etc. in the lobby bathroom. Not an ideal situation... After returning from the wedding late we checked in finally and received a room that was extremely musty smelling. Air conditioner had bacteria growing in it so we slept with no air conditioner. I usually have great experiences with Hampton Inn but this one was not the best.
Pros: The staff was wonderful
Cons: The pool was small and overly warm.
Cons: Toilet clogged on arrival. Tacky sticky notes on headboard
Stating sheets clean. Duvet cover scratchy and not warm. Staff not so friendly. breakast unappealing.

Cons: Bugs - as a matter of fact a bug in my wife's hair in the mid of the night, which woke her up screaming in turn woke me up
Cons: Very dirty bathroom and towels were stained with a black substance. The fitness center was out of the 80's
Overall I'm just hoping I didn't get bed bugs staying here
Pros: I don't have anything nice to say about my stay.
Cons: Hotel tried to charge an additional $10 for the room I reserved, stating there was an error with the online booking agent. Got a room with double Queen beds instead of the King I had reserved to avoid paying anything additional. Room was on the ground floor next to a parked refrigerated food carrying tractor trailer which was idling, I could hear it all night. Room was tidy but the coffee machine had an old spill of coffee on the bathroom counter. All the towels smelled of a combination of dust, fresh paint, and cigarette smoke. Noticed the towels after drying my face after getting out of the shower.
Pros: The staff was really helpful and friendly! The building had just been remodeled, the rooms we're clean.
Cons: The breakfast was very small nothing to really choose from but wasn't a deal breaker for us.
Cons: Party going on in room next to me and management did nothing about it. Paper thin walls don't help.
Pros: I could walk to conference center next door.
Cons: Pools are much more fun if they have water in them.
Smoke detector had no batteries on arrival - second day it was hanging out of the wall.
No table or desk in king room.
Curtains kind of small for the window.
Updating and clean-up seems to be in process.

Pros: Standard Super 8 with NM nothing outstanding.
Cons: Restaurant across street has unbelievable burgers!
Pros: It had a bed.
Cons: Bathroom dirty. Construction worker blasting country music in the next room. Was told I could have had it cheeper if I had called them first.
Cons: It wasn't so clean. Breakfast can't even be considered breakfast, it was really bad
Pros: I liked the beds, they were comfortable. The AC was nice and cold.
Cons: I had to get my keys recoded at least a dozen times during my stay. Every time I would leave the hotel and come back my keys wouldn't work. It was very frustrating having to go up and down from the front desk to my room multiple times a day. I would suggest that the hotel invests in higher quality room keys that aren't so sensitive to deactivating.
Pros: clean and comfortable, near old historic Front Royal.
Cons: I paid extra for a king bed and got two double beds instead. Otherwise, this was a good hotel in a good location!

Pros: It was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good...coffee especially good.
Cons: Hallways were dingy...concrete floor was stained. Stairways were dingy. Needs some upgrading in these public areas.
