500 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA

We found this hotel on the IHG site since they had recently merged. Close to beach. Easy access to Pacific Highway. Staff at the hotel were friendly and genuinely happy with easygoing attitudes. It helped us relax and it made a difference. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and if we travel back to Huntington Beach this is where we will stay! Not consistent with the way the room was cleaned. However, a quick phone call remedied our towel situation. Fridge was fully stocked. Wish there would have been less items in the fridge so we could put our own drinks in. No biggie.
The people who work here are wonderful. Everyone was friendly and professional. Location is great if you want to be in downtown Huntington Beach. I've stayed at other Kimpton Hotels and found them quirky and charming. This one is a boutique hotel without the charm of a boutique hotel. They also charge a daily resort fee of $25 (plus $3 tax). In no way is this a resort. There is no pool, no spa and if you get a courtyard view room, no view of anything but the courtyard. As someone else noted, the parking fee is hight but it's consistent with charges for all the parking garages in the area.
Great location Sink was in the room not the bathroom
The view of the ocean from the room was nice. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Facilities were terrible. Bed linens were thin and of terrible quality. When we requested an extra blanket, we received a synthetic blanked with cigarette burn holes in it. Carpet was gross, stained and dirty. We spoke with manager and cancelled the remainder of our stay and moved to another hotel. Manager told us we would have the remaining night refunded to us. After we left, he refused to refund the money since we had pre-paid. Blatant fraud, and surly staff. At the price point of this place, I strongly recommend the Hyatt down the street.
