Pros: Room and dinner were great. Staff were super friendly. Generally we really love this hotel and want to visit again!
Pros: The staffs are the most friendly I've even seen. In room onsen is really good.

Pros: Just alongside the river so beautiful scenery and sunset. Walk/jog/bicycle along the river !!! Decor of lobby and restaurants charming. Outdoors feeling with Japanese touch. Food choices at dinner and breakfast very international.
Cons: Hinoki wooden Japanese bath /shower tub in room had been poorly repaired. Needs to be new. Not old and cracked.
Pros: The efficiency of staff at check in made for a pleasant start.
Cons: Being a big onsen hotel, it was disappointing to find that there were only large communal pools. The bathroom was a great disappointment, a modular tight space better delegated to 2 star travelling workers’ hotel. I’d rather some of the space given to the spacious bedroom be used for bigger bathroom.
Pros: This place was recommended by my parents who stayed here once. Excellent dinner and breakfast. The onsen was also excellent! This place is mostly frequent by Japanese and tourists who drive because it doesn't look very accessible by public transport.
Cons: Only a few hotel staff can speak simple English. Besides the hotel reception, I think its important for staff at various places e.g. restaurants to be able to speak simple English.
Pros: The balcony room with very nice river view.

Cons: There's no a matter
Pros: Good location! Spacious room. Restaurants, convenient stores nearby, Rokkatei main store is just opposite.
Pros: The bath facility with moor hot spring is a really refreshing after a long tiring day.
Cons: the outside onsen, there is a TV set hang up in outside onsen on top floor which keep on showing some TV shows or what, this damaged the silent and clam atmosphire that a japanses onsen should have.
Pros: Nice hotel, free night soba, lovely onsen, convenient location.
Cons: I suggest turned off the TV at the open-air bath. It's noisy and interferes with the calming atmosphere an onsen should have.

Pros: This facility was a very nice surprise! Although the room was nothing fancy, it was clean with room to move around in and included a large bathroom. The beds and pillows were GREAT!! Perfect for a good night's rest. We took advantage of the onsen, which was nice and clean. The breakfast was delightful! One of us had the traditional Japanese breakfast, the other choose the fruit breakfast. Not only were we able to choose from four different types of meals, but there was a little breakfast/salad buffet available with the meal. It was a great way to start our day. We would definitely stay at this facility again.
Cons: The onsen water was too hot for me, but the area was nice.

Free bus ticket from Obihiro station.
Cons: Automatic light, forest stream noise and auto-flush when using toilet was disturbing when used in the night. Disorderly client use of buffet dinner lines, darting in for preferred foods slowed down the process.
Pros: Great buffet breakfast and dinner - wide spread, features local produce, plus lovely view of the river right outside. Also enjoyed the moor spring onsen - had both outdoor and indoor options, as well as a cold bath option if hot is not your thing.
Cons: Nothing really. It was more of the surroundings / town itself which was slightly boring. 1 night’s stay should suffice.
Pros: Spacious room, nice river view through large window. Good onsen.
Pros: Kangetsuen offers a relaxing stay in a prestige hot spring hotel. Staff go out of their way to assist, the views and rooms are glorious. But the delicious variety of Japanese and Western food at the buffet, and the hot spring bathhouse experience is par excellence! Hats off to Kangetsuen!

Cons: I wished to pay cash at counter but they deducted money already from my credit card.
Pros: Friendly manager with good English. Another staff did not want to speak English. Hokkaido is slow to open to the world, I guess.
Cons: I like capsule hotels and this one is more beautiful with wooden walls. However, with no air conditioning, no fan, and a hot night, it was unbearable. I sweated all night, half sleeping. Also, the price for this dormitory was higher than regular rooms at other hotels. Parking, towels and breakfast were extra fees too.

Pros: Very clean and new, nicely decorated hotel & rooms. Helpfull staff.

Pros: Room has enough soace.

Cons: The lighting is not what we expected, it's bit like the student dorm, we reckon change the color of the light might make the room feel a little bit more cozy.
Pros: Nice pillow and breakfast.
Pros: The cleanliness, staff's attitude, facility, location, amenities. All was good.
Cons: Typical of downtown Japanese hotels, the room was tiny for my taste.
Pros: Cannot thing of any.

A stay at Hotel AreaOne Obihiro places you in the heart of Obihiro, within a 10-minute walk of Obihiro City Office and Kita no Yatai. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge at scheduled times, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Stayed in the large room which could have easily accommodated 6 people. Room also came with an attached sauna.
Pros: This is the second time to visit here. Although it's a little far from the Obihiro station, we love the atmosphere here.
Pros: The room was a great size and very comfortable.
Cons: We were in a smoking room so didn’t like the smell of smoke.
Pros: The rooms are very big for a budget hotel, we had a double and a twin, both were spacy. The breakfast was good. The are a lot of restaurants and pubs around.
Cons: It looks like the hotel was not renovated for a long time, some stuff needs to be renewed. Also it could be cleaner.
Pros: Stayed here already a few years back and chose it also because of available parking, there are actually 2 separate entrances regarding parking, one beside the hotel entrance and the other is behind the hotel. The room was rather large and even had a sauna. Plenty to choose from the breakfast buffet.
Pros: The room is spacious even by Australian standards. Clean and comfortable. Microwave oven in the hallway. Free coffee sachets and miso soup in the evenings in the reception area. Very good breakfast.
Cons: A leisurely 10 minute walk to town centre for lunch and dinner. OK if weather is good.
Pros: Our party had three different types of rooms booked - the singles had very spacious units (complete with a walkway into the room itself, an extremely spacious shower area+bath) AND a sauna). the space was clean and I liked the “rental area” that you could get a variety of items from (in the central hallway once the lift door opens on every floor) parking was accessible from front and back of hotel (very convenient) Location and price were good.
Cons: the double room was comparatively smaller for two people and this was a little weird given the sizes of the single/std twin rooms. also, am unsure if it’s the piping of the different heaters and wiring, but there were slightly strange sounds at night (like an air vent, and clothes hangers occasionally knocking against each other).
Pros: Complementary udon at night
Cons: Decor is old fashioned
Pros: Big room, good for family
Cons: Hotel is a little bit old.
