Set in Fundura, 46 km from Praia, Cote de France offers a restaurant and free WiFi. A continental breakfast is available every morning at the bed and breakfast. Cote de France offers a terrace. There is a shared lounge at this property and guests can go hiking nearby.
Pros: Fabulous host. She puts so much effort in, that I hope it's a success
Cons: We found the beds very short and not very comfortable but they're being upgraded shortly so we were told.
Pros: What an incredible place is this! Near to nature and lots of good opportunities to hike, just from the house or a little further (serra malagueta, boa entrada), all very near to the place. Also i would like to mention the food, that was just fantastic! And last but not least, the staff are very kind and helpful!
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Friendly and helpful proprietor and staff. Good views of the mountains from the property. Reasonably comfortable bed. Excellent evening meals, which are very good value. Good breakfast (better when the proprietor is present). Good secured Wi-fi.
Cons: Poor lighting in the bedroom. The room we were in had a part of the room with a very low ceiling, which made it impractical to use a large part of the room. Unpleasant odour from the en-suite shower room, probably because it is an enclosed room, with no extractor fan. Too few electricity sockets for the charging of electronic appliances. No hot water over wash basin in en-suite. No air conditioning, although not needed when we stayed in January.
Pros: Owner arrange a pick up from the airport and the driver Dino also took us to a drugstore on the way for some medication we wanted. Super very friendly staff. They speak English and French too. Good dinner and crepes to eat. Also it was possible to get to Tarrafal by their driver who brought us to the next location. No hassle with luggage and Aluguer this way. Good sized room. Great warm shower and super breakfast.
Cons: Just a roof window and therefor not everywhere the same hight to stand.
Pros: I was very pleasantly surprised by the Côte de France. Magali, the French owner, contacted me beforehand to give me instructions on how to get there. When I arrived, she took loads of time to show me my room and the guesthouse and advise me on the routes I had chosen for my hiking trip. She was also very helpful when I developed an allergic reaction - to my mosquito spray, of all things... She arranged for me to see a really good doctor she knew in Praia. The room was pretty and clean. The best was the view from the balcony. The communal areas were relaxed, the staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner was great. You can book dinner until 5pm and then have it anytime during the evening. I highly recommend that you choose to pay the additional nine euros, it’s really worth it. I was expecting something small and simple, but the chef cooked me a three-course dinner, each course better than the next. The sweet-potato gratin that accompanied the fish... The best thing after a long day’s hike! I recommend Côte de France if you‘re looking for a guesthouse in the centre of the island for hiking trips and day-time excursions.
Pros: Magali and her team where so lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was big, clean with a good shower. The location from the house is perfect to do some hiking. You don't need a rental car, you can easily move with the aluguers. It's possible to have dinner at cote de france and we highly recommend it. The food was delicious! Of course the breakfast too - homemade bread and juice. Thank you again for the lovely stay, we really enjoyed it! Nina & David

Pros: Amazing location, good breakfast in the terrace, friendly staff, clean facilities and modern room
Cons: room was quite small, and although bathroom was big the shower was tiny - there is enough room to put a bigger shower
Pros: Very nice location in front of a beach, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good breakfast served in a lovely terrace, the on-site restaurant (Alcatraz) is also quite good at fair rates.
Cons: We only stayed for one night, so it was a short experience, without any issue, thankfully.
Pros: Very good standard for Cap Verde. Friendly staff, good food.
Pros: Beautiful location where locals meet at weekends at the beach/harbour. Bar on nice roof terrace with view.
Cons: Partly dirty (rock coast) with excrements.
Pros: The best location in Tarrafal right on the beach, beautiful rooftop with a lovely view, breakfast is delicious with some fresh fruit, the 2receptionist were very nice and helpful
Pros: Close by to the beaches. We had the first room on the left. The bathroom is spacious, suitable for wheelchairs.

Located in Tarrafal, Tarrafal's Meeting Point is within a 5-minute drive of Tarrafal Beach and Tarrafal Camp. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I loved everything about this hostel! The atmosphere is great, eventhough there are a lot of different people staying there (couples, families, single travellers). The common areas and rooms are cleaned every day, which is very helpful with all the sand being dragged in from the beach ;) The location of the hostel is very nice, right across from the market and some shops. The beach is at walking distance and there are mini busses right across the street that can take you to Assomada or Praia. Last but not least, Wilson (who works in de hostel) was amazing and gave a lot of helpful information. He also showed us around and joined us for dinner/drinks a few times. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting the amazing little town of Tarrafal, and staying in this hostel!
Pros: Very friendly receptionist! We’ve enjoyed our stay
Pros: The staff were amazing and gave you all informations that you need, the property was so clean and well organized. Thank you guys.
Pros: - the emplacement is perfect for me : near from the market, the supermarker, the sea, the main place, the Bank, the pub, the aluger/taxis stop... - the hotess : kalida is wonderfull. She gives you advices, she helps if you need anything, she discusses with you (she likes talking :p ), she is really close to her guest. - the atmospher of the place is really nice and without stress. - the cleanliness REALLY RECOMANDED !!!
Cons: -The only big point is the problem with the water. Some days you don't have water to cook, make the dishes or take a shower. That's a problem but is the same in hole the city so it s not Kalida's fault. - an other, but smaller, point is that the rooms next to the reception are noisy. The isolation is not so good so you hear everything's happening in the hall.
Pros: Great hostel. Especially the dorm rooms were very spacious and the beds were the most comfortable on my trip. No bunk beds either. Kitchen was well equipped, staff friendly and helpful, good WiFi, hot showers. No better value in CV. Well done.
Pros: Good hostel in town.
Cons: Cockroaches running around our room
Pros: Really nice host ! Very helpful ! Thank you for our stay in Tarrafal !

Pros: We had a really warm, friendly welcome! We got a tour and some explanation about how things worked. I really liked that you could get drinks/beers/wine/water from the fridge whenever you wanted and just write down what you had. The breakfast was nice. You had a lot of choice. Fruit, bread, egg, and ofcourse the traditional dish Cachupa! The rooftop terrace had a great view over the ocean and the sunset. They clean your room and make your bed every day!
Cons: The bathroom was outside your room. You had to walk through 3 doors to get there. It was private though.
Pros: Everything. The rooms and very nice and comfortable. The breakfast is really good and varied. For a few nights a week, Paulo cooks and serves amazing home cooked food on the rooftop terrace restaurant, which is a great break from what is typically served in local restaurants. Really good location, away from the Town center but still within walking distance.
Pros: Nice roof terrace, great sunset. Lots of plants and flowers, nicely decorated. Very relaxed.
Pros: Nice Place, Nice and clean rooms, Friendly staff, breakfast OK. Great value! Very Nice roof terrace where you can help yourself to wine and beer and soft drinks, mark what you take, and pay at check out. If you hate cats and dogs, you should look elsewhere.
Cons: It's a bit of a walk, dark at night, to the Central area where most of the restaurants and bars are located.
Pros: Absolutely amazing! Super delicious breakfast and dinner, they have a really great cook! Room was nice and clean, really huge bed! Staff was super friendly, one of the receptionist even went on a hiking tour with us!
Pros: We loved everything about our stay: the soft bed in the room, all the possibilities around the area, the cats ;-), breakfast (truly amazing!), the rooftop terrace, the location, the atmosphere, but mostly the staff. Thank you for everything! We will come back for sure!

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything was amazing, setting, service, atmosphere, cuisine. The only thing that was disappointing was Booking.com's system which did not alow slight change to booking. However, dealing direct with Kingfisher sorted the problem immediately.
Cons: Booking.com's procedures which didn't work
Pros: It’s An wonderfull
Pros: At this hotel restaurant and the food was amazing..
Cons: We booked the hotel for 2 days through booking.com. When we arrived for checkin they said there is no available room at the hotel and they said we are sorry that we can not give you the room. They arranged a room for the first night at the next hotel. We need to change the room/hotel. It was the first experience for us.
Pros: It was our first time in Cabo Verde, and King Fisher Village made it very easy for us to have a great experience. The room and facilities were wonderful, but above all the extremely friendly, competent and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. Our arrival was delayed, and I was able to arrange a transfer from Praia with short notice. A local driver and staff picked us up at midnight, and we right away were delighted with the attention given to the guests. This set the tone for the rest of our stay, which included many helpful tips, guides being arranged, and relaxed and friendly interactions with the staff which is both young and professional, and always had a smile to share. The breakfast overlooking the ocean was delicious, and being able to have a drink on our own rooftop terrace was an unexpected treat. The walk into the small town of Tarrafal and to the wonderful beach was easy and always full of interesting sights. THANK YOU!!!
Pros: Beautiful, spacious room with seaview from bathroom, bedroom and terrace. It is super relaxing to fall asleep with the sound of the sea. Also for our 6-month old son! Although the breakfast at the hotel is somewhat expensive, it is very complete with both sweet and salty. The homemade yoghurt is a must try, it is delicious! The hotel has a dive center on-site, Georg was very friendly and helpful to accommodate the 2 dives I did during my holiday. Location of King Fisher Village is ideal, outside of Tarrafal centre but walking distance from restaurants, beach and shops.
Pros: The hardest mattresses in Cape Verde and we have been travelling the islands for a month, ,
Cons: Food mark up too high Tarrafel in March is a ghost town and impoverished
Pros: The location was incredible, the food was unbelievable, and the service was great! My flight got in very late, and they kindly just brought me straight up to my room so I didn't need to check in. It was just "here's your room, check in at the front desk in the morning. And don't miss breakfast!" After a long and frustrating travel experience, that was the best thing I ever could have hoped for! The room was perfectly clean, with lovely finishes, and the balcony overlooking the ocean was amazing. The staff spoke a variety of languages, which was useful, and provided a useful introduction to the town and where to get anything I needed. And to add, the town and the beach were lovely. I felt largely ignored as a tourist, which I loved-no one was hassling me, but I never felt out of place. I intend to go back to Tarrafal again and again!

Pros: Friendly staff, breakfast was good
Cons: Room at the street. A lot of noise, so we woke up early. The city didn't feel very save for us. (2 women)
Pros: Everything perfect, great staff, great balcony !
Pros: Big room with balcony and WiFi
Cons: Unfortunately MasterCard did not work
Pros: simple but very goid hitel with friendly and helpful owner. very goid breakfast
Pros: Nice big room with balcony. Very clean and well run place. Wifi was very fast. Perfect location. Staff is very friendly. The owner speaks good English and is very helpful with anything. Breakfast is huge and very good! In fact, the restaurant was so good that I had most of my meals there!
Cons: Aircondition would have been nice, but is not essential in Assomada as it was not that hot in the evenings.
Pros: The hospitality of the staff!! :)
Cons: The bathroom is fairly simple which is ok but a shower curtain would be hulpfull not to make the whole floor wet. The owner is the only one who speaks english (also very well!!). Be flexible with it
Pros: It is a basic hotel but the rooms are spacious, the bed is good and it's clean. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. Super breakfast with cachupa and the best fresh juice I ever tasted! Just what you need if you go hiking.
Pros: Breakfasts were delicious! Showers were hot. Restaurant on site had dark beer. The owners, Carla and Lito, provided info about hiking. Assomada is conveniently located to access trails, beach, and cultural activities. We stayed 4 nights and wished we had stayed another.
Cons: We ran out of soap in the bathroom

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Amazing peaceful location on the island of Santiago. Lovely rooms with nice view on the sea. Lovely owner and very good food.
Cons: Not much really. The road is a bit difficult to get there. But that's normal in a remote location like this
Pros: It was such a perfect place, you dont have noise, the only thing you here are the waves from the ocean. From every room you see the ocean. 200 m away are a beautiful black sand beach, very nice one. The waves are high but we went in and it wasnt a problem. In front of the rooms are natural "pools" in the rocks and there it is even safe for small children. We ate twice dinner and they cook very good!! I would recommend this. We ordered a pick up from the airport and a drop off to tarrafal, everything was good and for a fair price. We booked diffrend accomondation in santiago but this was the most peaceful and wonderful place and we would book it again.
Pros: The location is wonderful facing the sea, just perfect to unwind and relax. Host are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfasts and evening meals were well presented, varied and generous, using local produce with a French twist. Airport pick up essential and good value unless you hire a 4x4.
Cons: Nothing at all.

Pros: Cleaning was spotless, one of the best that I experience in Cabo Verde.
Cons: The employees, they didn’t give me the triple room has booked and they said I would get refund for staying in a double, when I question about the refund the receptionist begin to shout and being aggressive. I spoke with the owner through my phone who said would call me back in 10 min , never got back.
Pros: Fair value for the money.
Pros: Helpful owners, good breakfast, easy microbus connection to Praia.
Pros: Very spacy appartment perfect for a family with children. Close to city center and beach.
Cons: Bad internet / wi-fi in the room.
Pros: Breakfast was bread, marmelade, cheese, ham, banana, joghurt, coffe, tea. You can always ask for more. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The room was very very clean and every day room service that change towl or rug in the bathroom when needed. Fridge was working. Furniture was not new, but ok. Windows had gaze net to safe the room from mosquitoes. The rooftop terasse was very good to enjoy the evening. You can bring your own snacks and drinks. It was possible to use the lines in the back of the roof for drying some clothes. We did not spend much time at the beach, but diving nearby (diving school with a great housereef for makro-photography opposite of former King Fisher hotel). Very safe location next to the big church and nice park nearby. You can reach Taxi stand, big market and biggest supermarket (TATA supermarket) by feed. Recommendation for food is Alto Mira Pizza.
Cons: Would be good to include air condition in the room price. The staff speaks mostly french, so be prepared to use google translator. But they do their best to fullfill your wishes in any kind of way.
Pros: The hotel is very clean and is located exactly at the main square, the beach is 5 min walk.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit poor (with no fresh juice), the rooms are very basic.
Pros: Good location, nice rooms and good value for price. Cool rooftop terrace
Cons: The room smelled a bit when we arrived... Needed to open all the windows and ventilation
Pros: Philip is a very gentle guide for tours/excursions - I can strongly recommend him. You need to ask for him at the reception. The cleaning personal is gentle and friendly (although they can't speak english). We shortened our stay by 1 day and got the refund. It was handled gently. We also lost the room keys - it was handled gently by paying 25 €
Cons: We went there 10 days. Maurice is very moody. If you have some unexpected requests, he will eventually shout at you without reason. The breakfast is always the same and very cheap. The price is too high for that level. A former employee said, it was hard to work there to please the owners, and he got only 100€ per month. As most of the former said, the internet will be shut down often at will.. You need to go to the 1st floor and plug in the router yourself. It is very loud at night, the waterpump makes terrible noise, if any toilet or water of the house is used. No English language available. Maurice refuses to speak, but seems to understand. There is no room with a window facing outside! You need to go to the terasse. There is only one room key for 2 persons. You need to pay 50% in advance, be careful for long booking.
Pros: Soooooo clean! Super friendly and helpful staff central too

Pros: Location was great. Beautiful area. Nice home cooked food and people were friendly
Cons: Bathroom needed redecorating and a good clean Pool needed a clean
Pros: The room was spacious and the bathroom facilities, roof terrace and breakfast area were good. Too bad we were there before the swimming pool was finished and it was nice to be in an area with almost no tourists.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful hosts. Good food. Bed with very comfortable mattress.
Cons: Bathroom has some improvement potential. Water from waste pipe dripping on the floor. No shower curtain.

Pros: The roof top terrace and stunning views of the beach and Fogo one of the other islands
Cons: On the down side, the main church close to the hotel, starts ringing its bells and chimes at 6am And wakes the entire town.
Pros: Nice rooftop breakfast. Good location
Cons: No hot water in the showers
Pros: Breakfast was served on the roof terrace so we enjoyed beautiful views of the sea and mountains in all directions! Our room had a balcony which overlooked the square, where we could watch people taking part in sports activities. The room was spacious and clean and had air conditioning, as well as a bath. The staff were friendly, helpful and had much better English than out Portuguese. It's very close to the beach and restaurants. Tarrafal is a small town so everything you needed is within walking distance.
Pros: The location is excellent near the beach of Tarrafal. The roof restaurant where breakfast is served has a superb view over the bay. For the rest there is not much to say about it.
Cons: The room we were given had air-conditioning but also a massive window on the street side that could not be opened and one has to use the airco, which is not a good idea when diving the next day. There may be better rooms but the one we had did not meet our expectations.
Pros: breakfast was good, room had AC, it was quiet.
Cons: Bathroom had used soap, hotel was overbooked and i did not get the room i booked online.
Cons: The hotel is a bunker at 100 meters from the bay. There is only one window, 40 centimetres wide, and all standard rooms have the view on the backyard where a garage produces exhaust gas and noise all the time. No soap nor shampoo nor paper toilet. I had a shower twice without hot water.
