Scenery from balcony Pillows hard
The restaurant. Dinner was very good.
The hospedería is situated in a beautiful building with excellent standards of finishings and decoration. Excellent value for money. We were awoken early in the morning by the sound of dogs barking in an adjoining property. Though I am not sure what the hotel could do, if anything, about this.
There specially bottled wines were excellent. The scenery was also very nice.
It´s an 13th century castle! Friendly staff. Staff spoke no English, so brush up on your Spanish before you go.
Location in town Restauant closed Sunday night
Location and the historic value of the site unable to provide us with hotel brochure in any language. The hot English breakfast offering was cold.
It is very central and the room was comfortable and the general atmosphere atractive and unusual.
Location - beautiful view of nearby church. The town centre was nearby and quite attractive. The design of the hotel was attractive.
nothing, the worst place I have been in my life as said above the place is the worst hotel I have been visiting
Cleanliness, price and location. No.
Very nice building, friendly staff and good breakfast No airco and fan was not functioning very well
No internet connection. No fresh orange juice ate breakfast
Ambiance Breakfast adequate rather than good
we thought this room was very small for a superior room. The reception staff were good, but the waiting staff in the hotel restaurant were very miserable and although we realize we didn't speak each others language we didn't have the same problem at other hotels.
modern clean accomadation good location
Location & Modern Room Extra charge to use spa facilities €18
modern, clean hotel small room with small bed
A modern well-functioning hotel. No.
An execllent hotel for the price friendly, clean and extremelly convenient when travelling
the comfort and modernity of the hotel the check in was very slow on our arrival but otherwise the staff were helpful and pleasant. The windows/ glass made strange noises.
We liked this hotel a lot, maybe the best we've stayed in in Spain. They've obviously put a huge amount of work into renovating this old hospice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our top floor room was spacious and very nicely and individually decorated. The food in the restaurant was good, by and large better than we'd had in Madrid. The locals are justifiably proud of their Calatayud wines.
Excellent location, very authentic, nice & warm!!! The only negative point was that the tv did not work
Very good location and the atmosphere of the hotel itself. It's like a little museum. We really liked it.
It was very charming with alot of character. It was very well situated. The staff were most helpful with the many questions I had.
The unique ambience and atmosphere put us back to an historic era, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The design and feel for the era was delightful, and the staff played thier wearing the uniform of that time. The location was ideal for us to explore the old and new parts of this histric city. Parking could be a problem, although we were fortunate to park directly outside the hotel. I would think during the height of the season parking would be a major problem, as the local car parks were generally full.
This was our 2nd stay at Dolores and by coincidence the same room 201, this room is on 2 floors, sitting and bathroom down and bed up. This super hotel is full of character, the staff are friendly and helpfull, the bar is good and the restaurant is excellent, good value
Good valu for mony, very nice design, rooms are spacial. Some problem with the Wierless connection. (Not stable).
Lovely old Spainish style in old part of town. Good breakfast and dinner. Good value. Parking difficult in narrow streets so have to pay for private car park.
the whole decoration of the hotel, the restaurant food was excellent
I liked the old building, decorated in traditional style and all modern conforts
Pleasant hotel staff and good food in restaurant. Comfortable room.
The evening 3 course meal and a light breakfast was included in the price of the room. Overall we were provided with a comfortable room and good food at a very reasonable price. Arriving early afternoon the car park was full and parking was difficult until all the diners left. A fridge in the bedroom would have been appreciated.
Everything. We will defintely book into this hotel again.
The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel setting disappointing
Friendly staff and helpful. Very clean. Good food. Users booking Saturday nights should be aware of a late finishing dance 3am. The Spainards are very noisy on departure!
What a great hotel. Beatiful room and bathroom. Staff very friendly. Dinner was included in the price and it was very good value. The breakfast was also great. Will certainly be returning here for a holiday.
The hotel staff were very friendly. The evening meal was very good value. The carpark however was a little congested.
A town centre hotel, with reasonably secure, if congested parking, that is very comfortable and, when it is open, has an excellent restaurant. They did not tell us that the restaurant, which was the purpose of the visit, would be closed. Said restaurant has become very much more expensive since our previous visit. The alternative restaurant is only just ok.
Decoration and confort Price of the meals
The staff were very keen to help and make suggestions of things to see in the town. Their "hot" water only got warm. Other reviewers have mentioned this (in Spanish). The description on the site claimed our room type had a Whirlpool/Jaccuzi but this wasn't the case. It did have a luxury shower however (with only luke-warm water unfortunately). It also didn't have wooden ceilings or a hairdryer as claimed but that didn't bother us too much.
An old charming building in the old town of Calatayud that has been totally renovated with a modern tasteful design. The director of the hotel is very nice and devoted to help the guests and to make their stay enjoyablel. Athough he doesn't speak English, he managed to make himself understandable.
A small, family owned, modern hotel in an old, historic building. It's located in a small square close to the center of town and buildings of historic intrest. The food was delicious as was the wine and the service was great even if we were using our "Spanish for travelers" handbook. Great value for the money. Hard to find but any city location in Spain will be due to lack of readable street signs.
Very friendly and helpful receptionist. One felt really welcome to this hotel. Rooms: good design, very modern. Breakfast was a bit poor. Automatic tap in bathroom not very userfriendly.
Its location, allowing easy access to the cultural highlights of Barcelona, the shops, the Ramblas etc. We did not like our room very much because it was closed in and quite airless.
The owner was extremely welcoming and very helpful. the bathroom facilities were very modern and the room, large and comfortable. The owner suggested a wonderful road out that took us through the mountains and older villages. The location was a little tricky to find and a bit off the beaten track. There is lots of rebuilding so a fair amount of construction going on around and many derelict buildings but once we walked about the town, we found the main area very charming. More a working town then a tourist place.
Exceptionally helpful & friendly staff, vere nice evening meal in atmoshepheric cellar/dinning room
excellent overnight stop with lovely countryside views
an excellent value travel hotel, staff very helpful and friendly rooms large with large excellent bathroom, clean and comfortable with air con and free wifi
Nice and peaceful - clean and comfortable no
Clean, reasonably priced hotel.
That it was fairly close to Zaragoza with a reasonable rate The reception is not always open. Quite hard to find the hotel
Nice hotel, brand new. Friendly staff. No breakfast facilities
Right on the highway - easy to find. Brand new, very clean - luxury feel to the room No nearby places to eat, no cots available
Brand new Hotel, available rooms even during the exhibition(Zaragoza 2008), easy too find (close A4) not completely finish but enough
One stayed for a few hours, was on the motorway and easy to access
Cheap. Modern & Clean. Helpful & friendly staff. No-Frills. No mini bar frig., No coffee shop, broken coffee machine. Closest food at gas station adjacent to hotel. Far from town (20-25 mins) but easy to find. Very good for young travellers & backpackers.
