Beautiful location. Very quiet and stunning view of the harbour.
The setting of the hotel just beautiful . Very peaceful . My internet in my room little slow
The atmosphere, design and hotel staff -
The environment, the design of the hotel, and the rooms, are great. The breakfast is excellent. In the lounge, you have a fireplace and quite a few spots to sit ad read a book/work on emails. The hotel also provides a large desktop computer and a printer to work with, which was much appreciated as I had to work on some urgent paperwork. Whether you'll give this hotel 10 out of 10 or 6 out of 10 depends on the particular requirements you have, if these will be met -- they will be met very well indeed. * Missed a sauna. The hotel offers to walk 5 min to local sats but for me sats is not a wellness place. * We traveled w/friends, and had Seaview & Standard rooms. Rooms are the same, just different location, and Standard are newer and better -- if you need advice, go for those. * The hotel charges for parking (80sek), which is not a problem but I'd love to hear about this in advance when I asked for parking rules at reception. * The receptionist told us that tea & snacks in the lobby are free. At check-out we were billed 25 sek for tea, more for snacks, etc. Again, not a problem, but this needs to be mentioned ahead.
Hospitality of staff
I liked the ambience, comfort and especially the staff. the location was very pleasant and I would like to return. Nothing
Atmosphere and location is exceptional and only 15mins from Stockholm city centre.
The location was amazing. From our room, we had a beautiful view. It is more than a hotel, it is an special place for those who like see and nature, sailing and boats. All the information about the hotel presented by booking.com is correct and honest. Everything was perfect.
Beautiful setting, and a stylish hotel. Very well-coordinated design based around yacht-club theme. Nearby restaurant is excellent. Shuttle boat every 30 mins to central Stockholm (takes 20mins). Currently building major new wing to hotel. Constant drilling and hammering during the day make it hard to relax outside. Woken up at 7am by pneumatic drill. Really disappointed by this, since had specifically chosen this hotel to relax by the sea for a few days. Also, communal breakfast area gets really busy, have to squeeze up at tables with other guests. Only one restaurant nearby, so no choice in evenings.
Great hotel Location is not for everyone, being quite far away from other attractions
The design of the hotel is great and the breakfast was very good. The bar is poor and the attitude of the male receptionist yesterday during the day was shocking he was rude and inhelpful As above
power failure in my room dealt with quickly by new staff, very happy with the service.
the area was nice found a housekeeper sitting on the sofa seat talking on the phone inthe room when we opened the door....not very appropriate
I liked the location. The morning breakfast was quite good. The hotel has the charm of an aging woman. 4 stars overrates this hotel. There was no one to help with luggage. Our first room had lovely view but was dark and aging. The bed collapsed in the middle of the night spilling me to the floor. Meals available only at breakfast. Needs paint and repair.
I slept well and that was the purpose with my stay at the hotel. No problems at all.
Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Wonderful aspect and views. Good breakfast No restaurant (breakfast room aside) or food services inhouse.
This is an excellent location in a quite area, close to water and boating activities, 25mins by train to the city. Breakfast and dining facilites were excellent.
Spacious rooms, wonderful setting.
absence of hotel shuttle
enjoy wedding anniversary
Environmemnt (near lake) and price nothing
Very good breakfast, good location, quiet with nice views. Rooms are in different buildings than main Reception desk and dining room.
Excellent on all aspects, friendly staff, top quality, excellent value for money, close to stockholm, public transport at walking distance
Very nice surprice Difficult to find breakfast room
the beautiful surroundings the bear blanket ( anti-fur)
Scenery, restaurant A bit difficult to find the room (multiple buildings and locked doors)
pleasant and peaceful surroundings Said room had a view, but only a window to look at mainly other buildings and small view through trees of lake.
It is an unusual hotel with an amazing surroundings. The breakfast is excellent. You can enjoy sauna in the summer house.
Location close to the sea, beautiful area, nice restaurants close to the hotel, very helpful personnel at the hotel. single room quite small
The location is awesome! - OK, it's at the end of line(train line) south of stockholm - and the the address is ringwagen 6 - There are 6 or 8 roads called ringwagen around Stockholm which did confuse the taxi driver ;) but the setting/scenary made up for it - very peaceful/relaxing - Beautiful 2 things - The wireless interet service - I don't speak swedish and there wasn't(as far as I could find) an option to translate the service into english - The other one, was the sign at the font of the hotel - light brown writing on a bark brown background and wasn't lit, so we drove straight past it(dark/wet).I had to ask the staff in the Grand Hotel(only 1 minutes walk) where it was
Very friendly, helpful staff. The hotel bar and restaurant do not open at weekeneds.
The grounds were lovely, the room clean and neat wireless reception was just so-so.
Quietness, nice people at the particular moment that I booked the room, there was very limited hotel availability. this hotel is rather remote, relatively distant from the city center. The room was clean but small. Staff was friendly. Overall, value for money not very good. I had to wait > 30 minutes for a taxi.
Cozyness and intimacy, nice surroundings, access by boat to/fro Stockholm City.
Nice view. Hotel is accesible by boat from Stockholm centre. Too expensive! Not childfriendly (swimming pool not accessible for children under 16 years. Not mentionned on the website.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Pleasant location which was convenient for my visit. The room was small and basic, and didn't relate to the room rate. I stayed in a similar size room at the Scandic Continental - Central Stockholm the following night and paid only 2/3 of the price at the Bla Blom.
The staff was not exactly serviceminded or very friendly. They honestly seemed very tired of working, don't know if it was an end-of-the-season syndrome or what.
First of all the owner and staff who help you whenever they can. Second the location of the hotel: only 10 min. by bus from Ropsten. All in all it takes max. 30 min to escape from the city into the greenery of Lidingo. There's nothing fancy about the Ariston, just good value for money
Distance from centre of Stockholm ; early close of reception
Quiet and efficient small hotel, superior rooms improve the experience Mistake in room allocation, but quickly rectified. No permanent staff present (in case of emergency.
Nice area but car is needed really. Friendly & helpful staff. More like bed and breakfast. Good breakfast. No bar. No out of hours food or drink facilities/machines. Gym next door at extra cost. No bar. No out of hours food or drink facilities/machines.
The geographic location of Lidingo. The manageress was very friendly & helpful. The lack of any real staff apart from the manageress(owner?) After 8 pm the hotel was effectively closed with no staff on site. The buffet breakfast was poor compared with our other hotels and yet this was one of our most expensive hotels; on the outskirts of Stockholm and that is probably why!
The hotel was so quiet. It was strange. When we arrived, there was nobody in reception.
location. price beds not very comfortable
It was fun to sleep inside a restored fort. The views were spectacular, and there were plenty of quiet spots on the little island to sit and watch the boats go by. Breakfasts were quite good. During the days and evenings, corporate and kids groups had team-building scavenger hunts around the fort, which I found entertaining to watch, but some might find annoying. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but they weren't on-site in the evenings.
