Well equipped hotel, located near coast; good choice during summer. Hotel far away from town centre; bad during winter.
although the hotel is right on the harbor it is isolated from everything. there is also a very large industrial plant right next to it so we heard a large murmuring sound all night. it was wintertime so we heard it even with the windows closed. if you stayed there and had a room on the harborside the view would be good but don't stay there if you are on the parking lot/factory side. this is really a business hotel so if you need a room for the night it would be fine. the mini gym was definitely mini. there was a tv but it wasn't hooked up.
It is a good place to stay and when said it was only a fair value for the money. It is because in Sweden all the Hotels are very expensive in comparison to the same type in other countries. Most of them charge luxury prices for normal hotels.
Beautiful place by the sea and good restaurant. Big rooms! Pet rooms are a huge plus! Our dog enjoyed the stay! Bathroom was clean but dated. Hotel was far from the Oskarshamn centrum.
good breakfast, free wireless internet far away from the city center, bathroom not that well equipped
The hotel had lovely views all around it. My family enjoyed walking round the harbour and saw lots of wildlife,
Hard to find the location. Really confused and lost our way up there.
Beautiful location very peaceful. Food was excellent and a good breakfast
Good receptionist, fluent in many languages. Rooms were clean and welcoming. Wonderful views over the bay towards the Baltic Staff do not listen, a few spelling errors on the menu
Good location centrally in Oskarshamn. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern rooms Almost no fruit for breakfast. No airconditioning, which was a problem since we had a heat wave during our stay. Basement rooms could be betterventilated. WiFi did not reach the two rooms we used; but there is a cable connection also, which did not help my iPhone/iPad
We found this hotel to be very good, it being modern clean and welcoming. Centrally placed in the small town of Oskarshamn it makes a good base for exploring the local area. Being motorcyclists we would have like secure storage but the nature of the area suggest a low crime rate.
the staff kindness, the special care for the custom’s needs, the dinner included, the dance evening, the elegance of the rooms, good position in the city, so everything was excellent no
Perfect Hotel, cheap, clean and very nice. Dinner buffet and breakfast included into room fee. I suggest it.
Pictures on web site. Hotel own parking turned out to be only 8 places - all filled - so we had to use unsecure public parking. Not very nice when your car is packed with luggage what you do not want to take up to your room as plan was to spend only 1 night. We were placed into another building not the one shown on pictures & nothing there reminded what we saw on hotel page. Breakfast was in main building and as we arrived ~ 21.00 no possibility to have dinner. The Superior twin with 2 additional beds turned out to be two metal beds in standard room - those beds we had to open our selves. Carpet was dirty and broken on stairways, water was not leaving the shower room. I would never guessed that this is a 4* hotel on my own and we were also asked to pay up front
the evening buffet was a good surprise
We were very impressed by this hotel. The staff were very helpful, the room was excellent, the breakfast very good, and the free evening buffet a very nice surprise!
Nice location, very friendly staff. Nice price including an excellent breakfast and snacks for the evening. No chance to sleep in summer, because on the windows there is no real courtains (too thin!) and you have the midnight sun into your room.
Fascinating building, closeness to the ferry terminal, evening buffet
quit, close to the center, coffee fruits bisquits available the whole day, nice common living with a small terace and a good breakfast
Location is good - in very centrer of city. Separate entrance - good Everithing was good
I had very low expectations for this hotel since it was more of a ferry hub town. But our stay here was excellent! We arrived late - and extremely hungry - and the oh so friendly staff had prepared a delicious home cooked meal for us! I couldn't believe it! The room was very clean and comfortable. And, the rooms had a very cute nautical theme decor, it felt like a boutique hotel. I believe this hotel is family run...the staff was very friendly and our stay was pleasant as can be!
The staff was incredible! One person in particular impressed us with her dedication and friendliness. We felt very comfortable at this charming hotel with its modern rooms. And the Swedish meatballs on the dinner buffet were delicious!
We found the hotel deserted, closed and dark. By phone, we got the keycode of the door and had to let ourselves in. No staff at all during our two day's stay except for the nice lady who served breakfast. No jacuzzi, no sauna, no hot tub, no light meals, we had to find our way to the hotel kitchen to make ourselves a cup of tea. At night we were alone in a big dark empty hotel.
kind and polite hotel staff, average breakfast Booking.com should try to notice the exact information about the hotel and room facilities in detail. I reserved 1 family room.
Free car park outside the hotel. Narrow stairs and hallways.
A budget hotel with location near Vimmerby. Breakfast was OK, the room was small but included a tv and an own bathroom. Palace
This hotel is more of a B and B than a hotel. We would have liked tea/coffee facilities in our room. There was also an unpleasant smell in the corridors and to a lesser extent in our room. All the furnishings are very old and several light bulbs have not been replaced making the room quite dark. We were each given one shower sachet to last five nights!
