Very good breakfast buffet and excellent resteraunt No milk sachets (powdered or otherwise) for in room tea/coffee
I had stayed at this hotel before. The staff were kind and helpful.
Friendly staff, good value, good food, comfortable room
That we had a roof over our heads. Terrible service, and it was in the middle of nowhere.
We stayed at the hotel because it was convienient, we have stayed there 3 times before, the hotel is fine, the staff are friendly. We do not stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on the food. The room was large (112) and had a nice bathroom and shower There wasn't anything to dislike.
Breakfast was good, Tea and Coffee on the room location is only suitable if you want to sleep there. There is nothing around
Very friendly and understanding staff.Went out of their way to help us. n/a
The restaurant. There was a musty smell when we entered the room and it was very small for a family room. There was not adequate lighting. One of the cups left with the tea facilities was dirty. Once all the beds were pulled out there was no floor space and the table disappeared as it folded out into a bed so you were left with only one bedside locker to put anything on! Ridiculous set up.
lack of storage space .Position of kettle could be hazardous if young children were to stay in room as was on a shelf above a bunk bed!
Nothing. There was not even a bus service that ran hourly. Had to walk to get to Lorient festival pushing 4 year old in stroller for one and a half hours. Never again. Hotel located facing motorway and factories, car spray paint fumes in mornings. Bus drivers did not know where it was so got off bus 3 miles away at midnight, very scary. Awful location. No taxi's available ever for festival. D'ful. The hotel was so old. We paid for a room for three and the spare bed was a fold down piece of board that had metal sticking up that could injure children. Privacy was good and breakfast was good.
stayed extra night here only booked 2 nights at first staff were very helpful & welcoming and very kind to us no
reception very helpfull. no english channels on t,v..bed extremely hard and uncomfortable.
The staff were excellent and the room comfortable, we would stay again if in the area.
Excellent I.E. as above
The hotel staff were very friendly, despite my very late arrival at night. Restaurant is ok.
The Staff were fantastic, especially Gary on Reception.
The way we were looked after,
Very clean, comfortable and spaceous accommodation for a very reasonable price.
It was perfect. A very friendly welcome. All wishes accommodated. The food was interesting, well prepared and well presented. The room well appointed. Lift a plus which I did not expect in a country small town. Would most gladly recommend to anyone.
the hotel is very modern and attractive with good food and service for value. the location is extremely convenient.
The lunch and dinner menus were superb and excellent value for money. English language news and movie channels were not available.
We got delayed and arrived at 1am when the check in finished at 9pm, we were told to call when we arrived at which point somebody got out of bed to let us in and show us our room. There was also no problem when we requested a slightly later check-out on our final day.
Location at the town square is nice, two friendly cats around, room was renovated, good restaurant. Renovation not very successful - shower not separated from the room; foul smell of mildew and damp in the corridor; faulty door handle not repaired as promised; towels not changed during four-day stay.
Excellent room (junior suite) and most attractive view out over the park and water. Decor in very good condition but some of the curtains/carpets were not complimentary. Food of very high standard as would be expected with a Michelin star and service of a prompt, very willing and personalised nature without being intrusive. Situated in its own 120 hectares of woodland the outside world did not seem to exist. Old wooden floors reverbrated to movements in the room above. Shutters closed every night with echoing sounds - opening in the morning made sure that you were not late for breakfast ! - To be expected in a building of that age. Towels were far too small to dry satisfactorily without the help of a towelling robe. The jaccussi bath not a good idea for elderly joints - some form of hand holds to assist entry/exit would be an advantage. Being of greater age, it would be nice to think that there may be plans to install a passenger lift to encourage a further visit.
Th food was divine It was Autumn so there were not so many facilities for my son, however we loved the estury and the woods.
the atmosphire, the gardens and the chateau are charming
Lovely views of the river and lovely grounds. The staff (one of them anyway, the rest were nice) was very rude on check-in and the first night. It was clear that we were a nuisance rather than valued guests since we had our 3 year old son with us. When we asked about the dinner it my wife was sneered at and given the code for the door so we could come in after 11 at night as a 3 year old obviously could not be in the dining room. While the castle is nice, the rooms are starting to need renovation, e.g. the modern bath is not so modern anymore and quite run down.
Location was very nice, with good views. It was a bit noisy, also bathroom tiles had mouldy grout and towel had someone's hair in it.
Tranquility, Escapism, Location, Cuisine (Have already recommended it) Broken/cracked glass shelf in bathroom
Superb cuisine, beautiful surroundings, charming staff, and lovely decor! None!
Amazing location. Very good but not overbearing service. Good food. Lovely rooms.
Space, comfprt and cleanliness. Also the very pleasant staff. I thought that the breakfast could have been better for the price involved.
The room was bright and clean and the decoration was really good. Nothing at all.
The owners were very helpful and friendly. The Bistro over the road (owned and run by M le proprioteur was fantastic. Lovely food and ambience. It was on a very hectic street, so our sleep was interrupted on numerous occassions by irritatingly noisy mopeds and loud voices!
Pleasant friendly staff. Free parking closeby. Easy town to walk around.Good restaurants nearby
Excellence of Staff, atmosphere and the presentationm of the Hotel and room.
the restaurant (at 200 meters) was excellent, very helpful and friendly staff, spacious room with rain/massage shower.
Beautiful furnished hotel with very good rooms There is no option for dinner in the hotel, late arrival requires you to ask for an entrance code before you arrive
The hotel was perfectly located in a lovely small town. We had fantastic service, the staff could not be more helpful. The seperate restaurant was first class and Michelin style. We had a really lovely stay. Nothing! All was great.
the atmosphere of the hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff.Spotless room.Very pleased with my stay. I try and book your hotels whenever possible as I know I will have a positive experience. Perhaps having a hair dryer in the bedrooms would be more convenient than asking at reception.
Staff were very helpful at a time of illness of my husband and assisted me greatly at a time of great stress.
Excellent hotel near Lorient! Very clean. nice people. They have a computer in the lobby with internet access and for us it was great.
everything excellent value, location and facilities very minor negative the toilet is very small no superb place to stay
Nothing Only people in hotel only stayed one night although booked for two restraunte was:nt even open
That there is a restaurant which serves until 22h30. Petit dejeuner bon. Rien
Staff very good and considerate. Breakfast and evening meal very adequate and reasonably priced. Tiny loos.
Very friendly people - new - clean - free internet - cheap noting for that price
clean and comfortable and helpful staff. Everything in the room worked and was in good order. too far from rail station to walk, Also the room containing the toilet was far too small.
Stayed in this hotel in June, not July. My fault on booking. Staff very helpful were able to fit us in! Pleasant enough situation and facilities.
Everything was ok. Just ok. Toilet in the room was very small. Budget hotel.
