The staff were friendly. The hotel was quiet. The room was very comfortable and the ensuite was nice. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. No reception, so got lost on arrival.
Lovelly place, it's really the countryside, very quite and with a lot of nature around. The room and bathroom are big and comfortable. Good breakfast and great availability of the staff. We wish we could have stayed more than 1 night :-) For summer we suggest to replace the eiderdowns with something more fresher and appropriate for summer season ;-)
friendly helpful staff, good food , English spoken as well, magic location with very comfortable room No - it met all expectations
Beautiful location in the Schwarzwald. Excellent views and good mountian air
Friendliness of staff, quality of the food Some light kitchen smell came into the room in the evening due to the kitchen chimney ending just above our open window
Attractive rooms with seating. The bathroom was of nice size and had a good shower. Pretty balconies overlooking the Black Forest. The restaurant was nice. The hotel was nice, but there isn't much else in the immediate vicinity as far a dinner out.
Everything was perfect
Very quiet place - very friendly staff - honest and typical regional kitchen
This is hotel is located a charming setting. The staff were warm and welcoming and the room was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Clean room, no restaurant, not very much restaurants in direct neighbourhood
The staff was friendly and helpful.
High speed wi-fi, cosy room. Very small room for family (1 child). Uncomfortable bath. No air condition.
price was good, clean, new...
Very well appointed little hotel in the midst of a residential neighbourhood. We arrived late at night, but the staff had everything prepared and gave us directions on how to let ourselves in via phone when we arrived. Thought it was a B&B style, so was surprised with the rather expensive breakfast added to our bill, but the breakfast WAS very good.
The hotel was quiet yet only five minutes walk to the railway station, from where Basel city centre could be reached in 30mins. The breakfast was perfectly adequate and the hotel staff helpful and friendly.
Owner and his wife - perfect people
This is a very nice quiet hotel. It is easy to reach to Basel in just a few minutes. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Will visit again when i am in the area,
We appreciated the friendliness of the people concerned We did feel cold until the radiators had warmed up in our rooms
The staff was very kind and she made a egg scrable for us in the morning. This hotel is very clean and there is italian restaurant beside hotel.
Free wireless internet and serenity of the surroundings No multi lingual staff or English speaking channel (CNN, Sky News etc). The hotel doesnt really cater for English speaking tourists but if you can beyond that, the views from the rooms make up for it.
Staff were hardly present during 4 night stay but on the morning of departure they were anxious to make sure that I was out promptly.
good and very kind
Good location close to Black Forest and Switzerland. Good room with Balcony. Good Breakfast. Friendly staff Restaraunt next door is closed down at time of our visit (September 2009). However there are other restaraunts within 15mins away (walking)
During our stay we like the hospitability thet we have from the owners and peple thet working there.
We stayed at this hotel, actually visiting Switzerland for a football game. The Hotel was easily within reach of Basle, and away from the hustle and bustle of the City. The Hotel was perfectly clean, staff very helpful friendly and courteus, and the Breakfast at 3.60Euros is about the best value I have ever experianced. Were I ever stopping in this area again, I would look no further than this Hotel. David Smith, Leicester UK
Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Service was wonderful. No air-conditioning and rooms were too hot to sleep. Rooms are right above the street so with windows open due to heat, traffic noise also prohibited sleep.
Very Friendly Staff who also spoke english ! Very Clean comfortable rooms
The staff were very friendly and spoke English quite well. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left we were treated with class and respect
Friendly staff. We arrived late, but the restaurant stayed open an extra half hour to serve us. Good breakfast buffet. No information about the advertised internet connection.
very friendly service and style, nothing seems too much trouble
Fantastic Staff and very clean and comfortable public transport finished at 7PM to and from Hotel
Quiet, nice breakfat,easy parking.
Very friendly staff (very personal attention due to small scale of the hotel), wonderful food (varied, tasty and well-balanced), nice location (close to the Black Forest). - too many flies in the restaurant, - possibly have been bitten by a bedbug! - not always quiet enough due to the big road passing in front
The facilities were new and good. The food of the restaurant was good. There seemed to be some visitors to this restaurant from Swiss.
It was short
tranquillity The internet is not good and I had to call them for help and the hotel overcharged me Euros 22 for the call that should have been free since I paid for the internet service.
no reception, nobody there, just a key of the room/hotel and nobody bothers you type of breakfastchinese restaurant nextdoor/in hte hotel gave a bad odeur
Overall the hotel was clean and efficient The mini bar was not refilled during my stay. I was unable to take incoming phone calls on my room phone.
The welcome was very good. Room clean and practical. the bathroom was very good and the large patio with umbrella and chairs was particularly useful. A beutiful view of a bend in the R Rheine no
Well located for business/holiday in Basel area. Friendly host and clean and comfortable room. Ideal for visiting Vitra and Fondation Beyeler.
The room was very private and quiet. All amenities were on hand, toilet, shower, tv, coffee maker, tea kettle and dishes. Nothing, It was wonderful
This was more a guesthouse than a hotel, but it was easy to find, very well kept and new, and we were even offered free coffee and fruit in the room. Nice. It however would have been easier if we had been in a car than using public transportation because of the bus schedules.
Very helpful owner. Great location, quiet. Close to Basel. We booked a larger room which was very well equipped for a longer stay.
Friendly owner, good value for money, no reception, no breakfast but coffee/tea facilities in the room. One lives like one would live at home. Maybe it's situation if you have no car. A bit complicated as far as public transport goes, but this is normal for a small town.
We needed room for one night before flight home and Gastehaus 3land was very convenient by car to the airport in Basel. Our room was small, but clean, well appointed and everything looked brand new - very nice and a good value. There were extra thoughtful touches such as hairdryer, teapot, coffeemaker and a nice selection of teas and coffees plus a plate of fresh fruit. The owner was quick to meet us with the key, was very helpful and spoke excellent English. Wi-fi and Satellite TV available. No meals are available, but as we had very early flight, this was not a problem. It was an unusually hot day and an electric fan would have been useful, but otherwise, everything was very nice.
Convenient for the numerous bars cafes and restaurants nearby.
Good location nearbay the city center No
accepted cash only, not very convenient! Parking was limited, place was noisy
hotel was good for a short trip. no
Clean, quiet, excellent breakfast Hard to find, very far from main highway; asked for wireless Internet codes to be available at check-in - they were not until the next morning
We did arrive late in the night, so we did not have opportunity to try the cousin. But staff was friendly and we were aloud to have some drink still. Breakfast was good, clean room. The hotel itself was very quit what I did like. We were a pair and in the bath was not enough towels, just one large for us both
Nice location in charming little village. Very clean area in every respect. Very dogfriendly hotel (we took our little dog with us) . This is one of the best hotels we ever stayed in what concerns service quality and value for money.
The hotel is located on top of a hill in a small village and we were lucky enough to be there for their yearly Octoberfest. We had a great time and the food was outstanding and the beer was great. Martina was the best waitress that we have had so far on our 61 day trip through Europe! They could have a menu in English. Thankfully Martina was there to help us out, she speaks English very well!
Friendly staff. Overpriced. Food has a lot to be desired.
Pleasant hotel and staff, perfect for what we wanted - something relatively cheap and cheerful and a convenient location. Room was spotless. Rooms a bit basic, decor at bit 70's - what looked like an ashtray bolted to the wall by the toilet in the bathroom (no, it wasn't a soap dish) and old style hair dryer. But, again, we weren't looking for anything fancy and the room was spacious and more than adequate.
convenient location near Basel, staff accomodating, good food, friendly
the food and service were excellent re the payment other wise we were very pleased
Excellent location to visit Basle and Black Forest. Friendly staff, modern comfortable room and excellent food
The politeness and the food. Excellent unbelievable
the owner (male) was unfriendly and unproffesional, I would never stay in the hotel again No room service, no air conditioning, no soap/shampoo, very small rooms, unfriendly owners
Quiet location - friendly staff - easy to get to Basel by bus - car parking in front of the hotel not applicable
Staff polite and welcoming and willing to assist in any way. Continental breakfast very good and included in room rate. Local bus into Basel from opposite the hotel and great value at under 3 Euros. Perfect for trips by car to Germany France or Switzerland as we did all three over four days.
Price and friendly staff Rooms were different sizes, mine was smallest of the 3 booked
Das Hotel erfüllte unsere Erwartungen vollumfänglich.
the roof terrace for breakfast your cannot find it - it is a boarding house in a parking garage annex whopping centre - no hotel; they admit the whole complex is a labyrinth and directions are lousy
right above a shopping center and on the bank of the rhine. you can stand on the footbridge and be in three countries in a matter of seconds
Good price and good space, close to town centre. We find Akzent to be a appartment hotel (we rented a suite for one night), and the standard was not quite up to normal hotel quality. But the suite provided still good value for the money.
Staff most helpful and as dining room was full advised of a local place to eat which was very very good. Your directions of where to check in and explaination of where the hotel is situated.
Helpfulness of staff breakfast closed too early on Sunday
fantastic, clean, great size room to relax in.would recommend it to everyone.Maybe for overseas travellers put a GPS guidance with directions no complaints,
Breakfast at rooftop, friendly staff, some free drinks in minibar No airconditioning, nearest town Weil am Rhein at 1,5 km and Basel at 4,5 km, hotel entry is difficult to find
Very convenience for stop over on the way to Swiss. Close to highway. Nice to walk along the Rhine. Very nice for dog owner like us. Big park in the front to walk the dog. The entrance is confusing. Not clear at all.
the room was very large clean and comfortable, with a fantastic view on the river. hotel is above a shopping center and next to the triple border and a nice park. it was not immediate to find hotel and a parking (I arrived late night), but in 10 minutes I found both.
The cleanliness and freshness. The fact that it was not what we expected from the info on your website. Very disappointing in that respect but that is your fault not that of the guesthouse.
We liked the restaurant, the food was excellent. The hotel was simple, but clean. Good breakfast.
Friendly, relaxed but excellent service and high standards of cleanliness.
The picturesque surroundings. The genuine freindliness of the staff and local people. On arrival, there was slight confusion as to where we were staying. We thought that we were staying at the Wasserschloss. There was no answer to the door at the hotel, we thought that it was closed. There was a notice on the door, but as my German is very limited, we didn't realise that we had to travel farther (only 200mtrs), to find the Wasserschloss.
Very quiet and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was also great. All in all it a nice place to stay.
This is a simple modern hotel just up from an Ibis. The house keeper was friendly and the breakfast good. The hotel is not as depicted on the website - the Wasserschloss shown is a restaurant 150 meters away from the Hotel and has nothing to do with the hotel, and was closed when we stayed at the hotel.
Staff was very friendly, rooms were large and clean, breakfast ok. From the guest house' website I had the impression that the rooms were in the castle, but only the restaurant (same owners) is there, the rooms are 300m away in a normal house.
Wonderful staff, brilliant room and a comfortable bath. Beautiful breakfast. Nothing
The room was big and clean. The matrasses were good. The terras was a nice surprise, we were able to eat a sandwich outside.
Location Room standard was poor.Generally the hotel was very poor. The hotel has the potential to be a lot better but I will not be going there again.
Pleasant staff location A little noisy with the kitchen below but hotel very comfortable
Location. Attentive Staff. Noise from the cars in street since there was no air conditioning in the room (I had to leave windows open) - September
Nice restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are a bit small, but OK for up to two people. Parking was a bit of a challenge. No AC, so the rooms were quite warm at night (even with windows open). This was in June. Internet is not free like some other hotels, but provided by T-Mobile.
Cleanliness. Helpful and friendly staff. Location and directions to the hotel from the train station were poor
Staff were very hospitable, hotel was quiet, breakfast was excellent. Parking facilities excellent andthe restaurant very first class. Bathroom was poorly lit.
We used this hotel as stop in between Pescara and Netherlands (1000 Km drive). Family with two adult children. Price quality is very good (Euro 105; 4 persons room with two double beds). Parking free around the corner street btw 18:00 and 08:00. Hr. also possible Hotel garage for 7 Euro/day. Breakfast is O.K. From the chart the hotel has very good diner facility (price/quality); only turned out only possible after 21:00 without reservation; the day we arrived the tables (not too much) were occupied. We arrived pretty hungry, finding out we had to wait untill 21:00 or go alternate. We choose the lates and found good Italien restaurant some 300 m walk accross the street in city-shopping-street.
Hotel Danner is a a clean hotel with appropriate comfort. It's strongest point for us is the location in Rheinfelden, which allows to take a drink and a walk in the evening. there is still some room for improvement at the desk service
Very easy to find in entering the town. Friendly towqards cyclists and our particular needs.
The staff was attentive to our needs and we had a very good meal in the hotel dining room. The room was very clean and comfortable. We took the train into Basel for a day of sightseeing. I think it is more geared to the business traveler than American tourists, but they made every effort to meet our needs.
The hotel is comfortable and very reasonably priced. It is in the heart of downtown Lorrach and very convenient to the train station. We plan on going back to Lorrach next year and will probably stay at the Meyerhoff again. The way Europeans fix their beds isn't the most comfortable. I would prefer a sheet set and blanket included rather than just the comforter alone.
The hotel is 50' from the beginning of the ped only zone. Shopping in the small town of Lorrach is truly amazing and so convenient with the hotel immediately adjacent. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a secure parking garage beneath the hotel that makes it very handy to load/unload and not worry about cargo left in the car.
The room was very spacious for Europe. The rate also inlcuded a very good breakfast bar each morning. We will stay there again.
Hotel Staff very helpful. Underground car parking excellent. Room & Bathroom very clean & nice.
very good location, close to the delicious Greek cuisine
The rooms were more like a 5 star accomodation, especially being in europe where rooms are normally very small and simple. These rooms were large, newly appointed, and the showers were large and private for each room. I do not believe there was anything negative. We will be looking to book again next year.
The Hotel staff were very friendly, the room was extremely cleaned and tidy. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The parking under the building is FREE and secured. Highly recommended to others. NONE, everything was excellent.
the management were very frendly and helpful and also spoke english No
New guest wing, location to downtown & train station, access to shopping & restaurants. Everything great
Great service, attention to details, helpful staff, great breakfast, beautiful grounds, and the hotel dog Luna! No, it was fabulous
The helpfulness of staff, the shuttle bus service, nice and calm surroundings no
Nice and friendly hotel. Lovely room and for us the ideal stopover on our way to Switzerland. The dinner in the restaurant is a bit too posh, and so rather expensive. We would have preferred it if there was also a possibility to just have a steak with french fries.
Please write at least 15 words the Hotel Manager was first class! The service was 5 star and I would recommend this hotel without reservations.
noise of boiler near the room
the food is A+++ minibar?
Excellent rooms; good restaurant; good breakfast; romantic location Not very friendly servants in restaurant and reception. This is in contrast to the very friendly and helpfull ladies at breakfast
very friendly staff, cosy if somewhat outdated atmosphere, good food in hotel-restaurant, quiet surroundings yet close to the highway making it a good choice for a stopover
spacious room, quiet, friendly staff, clean. The cot was in the room when we arrived, as requested Bed mattresses were not very confortable
I had the bike on my car and the staff allowed me to park the car in front of the entrance, so they could watch it during the night. Very friendly
Free internet service, buffet breakfast, staff where great, location
Staff excellent - rearranged room allocation to provide sofa bed, were very helpful when had car breakdown and the food is quite simply superb
I spent quiet night, I had a god rest, the room/bathroom is spacious and clean refrigerator was off so the drinks inside were hot, breakfast is separately charched
We had an extremely good meal in the hotel restaurant. Very good towards our dog we had with us. Aircon was pretty rubbish so the room was very hot.
accomodation, hospitality everything was perfect thank you.
Bar was open until 12pm
it was just a quick stop during travelling, but hotel and people were good, we enjoyed
Spacious room. Breakfast was great! Towels were smelly.
The location, the service, breakfast was ok no airconditioning, no possibility to open the window. At night it was 30c !
The staff prepared a wonderful breakfast bag for us as we were leaving the hotel very early in the morning to go to the airport. no lift
I was there just overnight as I had an early flight to take from Basel. The hotel was excellently located in the Centre of Weil. We could have a nice walk and had a good meal in the restaurant of the hotel. Hotel with charactger. No lift.
The location is good, easy to reach and centrally located as long as your plans are to go shopping, drive down the 'weinstrasse', go to France, Basel, etc. The service in the hotel was good, albeit 'ein wenig unpersönlich'. The menu was straigtforward: all from the grill! Not inviting to have dinner here every evening.
Everything was fine - the staff gave us quick and effective service without problems TV seemed to beout of order but it wasn't a real issue for us
The owner is a very nice and helpful person. The terrace is a nice feature and the facilities are adequate for a family of four. The bathroom is too small and the shower very cramped, would be nice if there was a cleaning service.
clean, quiet, confortable, very near to the very expensive Basel, kind staff - and there's also a terrace;-)
The apartment was very spacious, location was excellent, and fantastic value for money. Also very friendly staff..
the cleaness and the style of the rooms shared bath room
it was not expensive the last day of our stay, we theoretically could leave at 11 a.m., but at 9 p.m. the room maid started to clean our rooms so we couldn't stay there and wait for the departure, also we asked for an invoice but it was clear that they don't provide them
Good comfort, nice bathroom, very clean, close (300 m) from the border and 10 minutes ride by bus to Basel. The room was not cleaned during my stay, but this is acceptable considering it is not a hotel but a family house.
Excellent. A fantastic flat with and great hosts Nope
I enjoyed the staff and their attentiveness. They went out of their way to provide for us and make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. No.
Location is excellent for access to Basel and Black Forrest adventures. Staff most helpful, friendly, and spoke English very well. Hotel is elegant B&B with large and well appointed rooms.
We have the luck to stay in the room on the top floor at the main house, which is pretty charmy, spacious, and with great views over Lorrach.
The Villa is a unique house of Art Deco / Art Nouveau style and is spacious and is excellently decorated. Very enjoyable stay free internet access a real bonus. May not be suitable for disabled guests or those who have mobility problems as it is up a steep hill and there is no lift.
I have been welcome very nicely, even I arrived late at 11pm. The breakfast is a bit small, the hotel is a 10 min walk from the station and not too easy to find without car. But it's very clean, the personell is friendly and the rooms are in a "Villa" style like the whole hotel. Over all a very nice hotel to a fair price!
very good hotel, nice site. an ideal positinon for to visit basel (oohhhh!!)and the rhein a biggest dog of the world in the hall
The staff were helpful and the original building had alot of character. Most of the rooms were not in the original building - and these rooms seemed to lack any character at all.
excellent position, nice nature around I would have liked to sleep in the main villa rather than the dependency
The personnel was very kind and helpful. Only greenery view from the window. Tasty and rich breakfast included in the price. Reasonably priced, still in Germany, with easy and fast commuting to Basel. One person room, but with large bed. Very good restaurant next to main street and hotel part separated therefore very calm. Lack of shampoo.
Very pleasant staff. Good restaurant. Easy in, easy out. Fast service for taxis.
Kind staff Internet conecction was failing sometimes
There was no frig in the hall or room for the drinks they offered (water)_ restaurant was closed during 2 days
Great Staff, kind andalways available. Great restaurant...amazing!
