Quiet and peaceful. Room 210 had an exelent view. No.
Close to the ferry and the town. Great restaurants nearby.
great location just outside the wall, nice rooms, decent breakfast.
A very nice, clean and comfortable room. Nice and spacious balcony against a green and quiet backyard. Excellent breakfast. They tried to charge me for 7 EUR extra without telling me what it was for. They deducted it when I complained, but even so...
I liked breakfast, decorations, staff approach and reception small library corner very cossy and welcoming cleaning, attention to towels changing
This is a great hotel for several reasons: It is located next to the Visby fortress wall, and it takes 1 minute walk to enter the old town, where you can find stores, restaurants sightseeing and so on. The hotel is also very close to the sea port - about 5 minute walk. The hotel has parking, which is a big plus. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was prepared to answer all questions. The only problem was that they did not have my favorite beer at the bar. :)
Big room, good location, friendly staff. Room price vs. quality didn't match. Room price was almost twice compared some other same quality hotel.
Close to City Heart . Close to See . Very clean Hotel with plenty of sweet rooms and spaces. The Parking space for car ... limited. Lack of aircondition .All other - super !!!!!
swimming pool facility. breakfast good quality. newspaper : no english or french
The location inside the walls of ancient Visby was wonderful Walk to everything. could never find the 'back door' that supposedly lead to the parking lot.
Wonderful service and staff, beautiful facilities along with old city charm, and an unbeatable price.
Respect of the old buildings. Please propose a pot of fresh brewed coffee instead of machine coffee at breakfast.
Central location and fast access to Visby's key attractions and restaurants, free parking, good breakfast Rather a 3 star vs. A 4 star hotel - rooms & furniture quite old, small rooms
I liked most the local architecture that was kept also at this hotel, the way that it is not a modern building, but still offering modern comfort and good services. Very good location to the city heart and sea Comfort of room suggests more a 3-star hotel, rather than 4-star
This is a fine establishment
A fantastic deal on a great hotel. The facilities were brilliant and the staff very helpful.
It was a very well designed boutique hotel with personal service. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the room was delightful!
Hotel 1 was a true design hotel. The faciliites were interestingly lit, with black and white contrast, cool spaces and compelling chandeliers. The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The entry was a little bit busy (remove two or three objects for more glamour), the elevator made a hallacious noise when it reached ground, and the Hotel is located right on top of a loud Sports Bar, which had screaming and yelling until well into the morning. Guests should be warned about that.
we showed up at 09:30 am and were able to check in immediatelly. lovely room, everything really was lovely from breakfast on the balcony to the free bikes to the friendly staff. Great location too. Although the air conditioning in our room worked all day, when we returned from our evening out, it wasn't functioning. It was about 30 celcius in Visby that day and the room was uncomfortably warm so we opened the windows. The noise in the streets wasn't a problem at all with the windows closed but it was with them open. things didnt quiet down until 3:oo am. we mentioned the problem to the server at breakfast and when we checked out later that morning were discounted 50% on our room because of it. I would have preferred a good nights sleep, but it was a meaningful gesture. we will be back in Visby and wouldnt hesitate to come back to Hotel1 Visby.
It is ver close to everything in Visby. it was also very quiet. The room was very small.
I arrived in sunday and nobody was in the reception. I entered into my room only because a guest opened me the door and give me the chian..
The hotel was cosy, linen - fine and clean, very good location, breakfast was good and staff - friendly. Only 7 tv programmes; would be better if we were told how to find the shower; it was quite tricky.
Location Room was small and not completely cleaned. Overpriced.
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. I felt secure because it difficult for non guests to enter. Our room was lovely and roomy with great views.
Good breakfast and a comfortable room though rooms are small and squashed together motel-style in the back garden. Fair value for the location; Visby is very expensive3, especially in the old town
We liked the size of the room (very big), the very nice location in the heart of Visby, quieteness, free coffee and tea with cookies/fruit in the afternoon, free wifi, the balcony The bathroom was really basic, there was no decent mirror anywhere in the big family room, just some minor improvements could make a big change
The room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and delish, hotel location was prime and the cost was very reasonable!!! I would stay at Hotell Stenugnen again! My only complaint is actually just a suggestion -- It would be nice to have an alarm clock in the room!
Staff was superb. Nothing.
We thought the staff at this hotel was excellent. We left our camera there and they mailed it on free of charge. The hotel is located in a very convenient spot. We thought our stay was very good value for the money we paid.
Very pleasant room. Great location for Town and ferry. Friendly and helpful staff.
Good location, breakfast.
Attentive staff but they gave us lots of freedom also. Lovely location close to the harbour. Attractive decor and comfortable
in the center of the city, good communication, good services
They had coffee, tea and chocholate available all the time, very personal service,
A very cozy and nicely decorated hotel with a warm and peaceful atmosphere. Excellent location, extra points for the breakfast!
The location was very good.
It looks brand new and is made according to the principals of modern scandinavian design. Very stylish, very clean very ergonomical. I ordered an early breakfast at the reseption, because my ferry was at 7 AM, but in the morning it turned out, that nothing was prepared.
Location is good, only 15 minutes from the old town of Visby. We rented bikes by the hotel, that was nice. Breakfast was good. The rooms were quit small for the price we paid; we had 2 one-person beds of only 80 cm. wide, so I felt like falling out every time I turned. That is really not what we expected of a hotel we paid so much money for... In addition, we (two girls) thought this hotel was more for young people, but instead this hotel appeared to be a real family-hotel. We were very annoyed by all the shouting children, running around on the floor every morning and during breakfast and on the pool-site.
Bungalows are great with modern style. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven and dischwasher. Bathrooms with washing machine and dryer. Two terrasses (one overlooking the sea) with great seating and outside sofa. Swimming pool is not big but nice. Friendly and helpful staff (we had a few requests which were happily dealt with). These bungalows are ideal for families and for longer stays where you do want to make use of the equipment and cooking options. Great location withing walking distance of old town Visby and not far at all from the airport. Food at the beach club and breakfast was OK but not great. Perhaps the kitchen is missing a micro wave oven.
Staying at the Tott Hotel was great although the staff were very very slow, we had moments where we were waiting at receiption for a long time. Slow staff.
it was very nice to understand that you can have a breakfast before the ferry that leaves at 7:00, it starts from 5:30 here, nice hotel, nice location, typically swedish have not found any for the day we stayed there
The location is perfect, just a few step from the main square, but the street Hotel Gute faces is quiet. You can walk to everywhere in the old town of Visby on foot.
Room was clear and for a few hours sleeping you won't need many extras. There's free wireless internet access for 6 hours. After 6 hours you can renew your code without paying from the reception. There was not much to complain about the hotel besides the breakfast (included). It was very ordinary. According to the quality of the hotel, prices were expensive (In September 2009, 100 € per day). In the summer season (in Visby it's at most 6 weeks), these prices will be higher if you can find any room. I recommend Visby Hotel or Hotel 1 inside the castle area if you can find empty rooms, otherwise you have to walk around 15-20 minutes to the castle. All the good cafes and restaurants are in that area. Have a nice stay
The service and the cleaning was very good. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was satisfying. The room and especially the bath room was rather cramped
Very convenient to Harbour terminal and Old town. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Common room to use with friends.
The staff was particularly friendly and helpful.
Good breakfast and helpful staff
great location. good food. professional, helpful staff. priced well.
walking around Visby and the rent of a nice bicycle which allowed me to cycle along the coast no I cant answer the question about guest reviews
At my arrival I was told that the Restaurant at the premisses was closed, I was given a map of the town and tolt that there are many restaurants. What I was not told was that the town was already in the off season.
Nice position, good breakfast Normal problem with Swedish showers .. the whole floor gets wet - else nothing to say.
