My room on the third floor came with a basic refrigerator/freezer unit, a kitchen sink, a decent work desk and a couch. The bathtub was pretty large with Jacuzzi jets (didn't test them) and everything seemed clean. It seems the hotel has complimentary HBO withe every room, or at least mine did. The free airport shuttle is great. I only stayed at this hotel one night, but I was attending a convention at the Hyatt Regency DFW, and the drivers didn't have an issue dropping me off there as they know the airport layout very well.
I thought when I paid for the hotel on Kayak, it would cover my whole stay there. My final bill came to be $15 more than what I had originally "paid". They also charged a $20 deposit which is suppose to go away if your room didn't have any apparent damages. Be wary if you need the hotel shuttle in the early AM hours. I called the hotel to pick me up at the convention hotel in the airport at at around 3:45AM, and was told I needed to wait a bit longer because they couldn't notify the driver until he finished his airport rounds and came back to the Hawthorn Suites. Also, the shuttle leaves like only once an hour at the late evening (if there's any customers needing a ride) and he needed to finish his usual airport run before picking me up. So I ended up getting back to my hotel around 5:10AM. Pretty tiring wait. I didn't get to sample the breakfast as I woke up after 10AM. There's also nothing really around the immediate area within distances except some more budget hotels/motels. I arrived at the hotel via a local DART bus which had a stop fairly close to the Hawthorn Suites.
That I had to leave so soon.
The shuttle Rrived within 15 minutes it then drove around to pick up other passengRs for another 30 minutes. I
Terrible service will never stay in a Hawthorne Suites again
close to airport
no restaurants near by
Had two TV's
The room was not ready by check in time and it smelled like mildew. There was a huge water leak and stain on the ceiling. The air vents were dirty and the toilet seat looked old.
Outdated and run down
