The owner-operators of Chateau Latour are a wonderfully welcoming couple who moved from Amsterdam a few years ago to open this small property. It has only four rooms upstairs and one apartment downstairs - you will never get lost in a crowd. Evert Jan cooks lovely French meals, often using fres ingredients from Therese's vegetable garden. The breakfast features fresh croissants from an excellent patisserie about 300 meters away on the village square. The pool is enticing and in warm weather could convince you to take part of a day off from touring. This is not a "luxury" hotel, but the bathrooms and furnishings are modern and comfortable. Wifi is available gratis. Chateau Latour is a great jumping-off stop for visiting many Burgundy towns.
Very convenient position on our route home. easy to find and very good value for money. dog friendly but nowhere nearby to exercise him. A bit motel like, our room was on the noisy main road, in the annex adjacent to the hotel. early closing bar.
The breakfast was fairly good value for €5 and the staff were friendly. The bedroom was lit by flourescent strip lighting and the "bathroom" was separated from the bedroom by merely a curtain. The walls of the bathroom didn't even go up to the ceiling and the shower flooded the floor. Room seems to have been modelled on a jail cell.
hotel staff were very helpfull and friendly.
