Lack of beach in front of hotel.

This property has to be one of the prettiest hotels we have ever visited. As my husband said, you just couldn’t take a bad picture there. It really takes you to a past day when hotels were more eloquent and provided for their guests needs on a more individual basis. The entire grounds are terraced into the hillside with private bungalow style rooms, probably only about 15-20 rooms total. We had breakfast on our beautiful thatched roof deck every day overlooking the ocean and beautifully manicured grounds. The pool is set below the terraced rooms with a view over the beautiful turquoise ocean and you can enjoy lunch or drinks in the afternoon at the poolside bar. In the evening the pool is lit up with beautiful colored lights and the rooms and decks as well have beautiful well thought out lighting that welcomes you to enjoy the evening. The staff made our stay exceptionally nice giving us our privacy but always seeming to know when we needed something or letting us know dinner was being served in the dining room if we were so inclined. This place was truly the highlight of our stay on isla and even though we explored the island we couldn’t wait to get back to our room.

Quiet hotel with super staff, especially Ruffino. Rooms are large, well appointed and clean. The views across the channel to Cancún are superb. Best suited for folks looking to relax and unwind.
