Location general feeling activities
Breakfast can be better
A great tropical setting with a great outdoor bar area. Beautiful beach area with water access! Plenty of things to do!
Towels were a bit scarce and the breakfast buffet could use a bit more of a selection. Hot scrambled eggs are cheap to provide and would greatly improve the spread.
We were absolutely thrilled with our room, which was spotlessly clean, bright, had a full kitchen, and a balcony. The resort had upgraded us to a room with a pool view/ocean view. Staff were extremely helpful, and welcoming. Our only regret was that we had only one night there.
Our only disappointment was that an all male reunion of some sort booked in the same day we did. And they became louder, and their language more offensive, with each drink they had. However, the hotel staff appeared to do the best they could, and the partying appeared to have been stopped by about 10:30 PM.
We liked the location of the hotel in front of the ocean and its proximity from John Pennekamp State Park
The service is minimum and there is no facility on site to have a breakfast
I liked the rooms and the layout of the hotel and dock area. We rented a boat and had a great time there.
The beds in our room was quite comfortable and all amenities worked fine. I have stayed at the Pelican Cove many times over the years so it is quite enjoyable there.
Nice spacious rooms, great pool and views
Need more staff for pool bar and grill. Pool needed attention.
The staff was very friendly. I loved the atmosphere of relaxation. The grounds were gorgeous, very well tended. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I liked having a full kitchen and a private balcony. I would reccomend Pelican Cove to anyone traveling to the Keys.
The comfort of the room. The view. The balcony. Pool was great too. The location was perfect for us too.
During our stay, Tue-Thur nites, the hotel was probably 1/4 full. What would bring me back for my next Keys trip would be a more competitive rate. We paid $145 for each night and there was no negotiation as to the price. The price was firm with a pleasant apology that nothing could be done to cut a better deal. I loved pelican cove! Next time however, regretfully, we will look south for a better deal. Again, this is a great place, I just think we could cut a better deal elsewhere.
Loud rock music in the evening
very relaxing and a beautiful location
The staff was wonderful and the view excellent. A very good deal, clean and although not "plush" it was just right and in a great location.
The Wireless was not working and that caused us some problems
