We were six on motorbikes. Good secure parking was excellent. Rooms with twin beds were comfortable. Short walk into town (1.0 km). Buffet breakfast was excellent, and with a good choice of foods. No.
The hotel was easy to find. On arrival at the hotel at 4.30pm we joined a queue of others unable to get into the hotel or make contact with them by phone. lady arrived after 5pm, no apology.
The hotel is ok, but be aware of trafic noice. Traffic noice from trucks all night. half of the rooms are very close to the a road used by heavy trucks all night.
The staff was very helpful. The maitre D in the dining room was particularly helpful. The food was excellent. It was a lovely place to stay. The road to the hotel from Millau was long and in poor condition. It was not a good place to stay if you wanted to take side trips outside the gorges.
The location was ideal for exploring the region The hotel seems to be lacking in maintenance. The decor and grounds seem to be in need of attention, The dining room was crowded and the price was too high for the quality. One night we dined twice as well for half the price in a nearby Logis de France. Breakfast was the type of self-service you would find in a cheaper hotel.
It was excellent !!
slightly faded elegance, unique environment unlike most faceless "corporate" chains; warmth of staff; beautiful location
We like very much to stay in this hotel it was perfect.
Beautiful Hotel Our room was very tired and dated
The situation by the pretty town of Meyeuris, perfect for the Gorges du Tarn, very wild countryside. Beautifully warm and cosy in the chateau, dining rooms perfect, candelbras roaring log fires[end Nov], fantastic food and wine. Bedroom and en suite adequate, could do with a little updating.
We loved the setting of the hotel and the quality of the fine dining. We would have liked to have somewhere to sit in the gardens in the shade other than around the pool. It would have been nice to see flowres in bloom in the gardens.
Beautiful location, wonderful hotel and fantastic food.
Beautiful hotel, both inside and outside. Fantastic position. Our meal was not nearly as good as we expected it to be.
The staff wen out of their way to be welcoming, friendly and helpful in every way. The hotel itself is just beautiful, the rooms stunning, and the food exceptional. What's not to like???
Truly spectacular Chateau, very well restored. Our dinner was excellent....real gourmet cuisine.
Amazing....absolutely amazing location and awesome French chateau. We went canoeing on the Tarn in the middle of the huge gorge. Perfect place. Stayed in much much worse 5 star hotels and this one is only 4 stars. The hotel was a little over attentive and fussy. For example we were interrupted during an evening drink and asked to fill out a breakfast card which asked what time we would like to eat breakfast. Fair enough but then we were interrupted again to be told that our choice of time, 1030 was too late as 1000 is the finish time for breakfast. Would be nice to know beforehand if it's such a big...
very good service excellent location!very good food
The location, in particular the tranquility of the location The pool area is badly in need of renovation
The relaxed style and helpful staff always on hand to help and assist whenever needed which was much appreciated. some of the outside furniture could do with some TLC
stayed at this hotel in September 2009 - the Gorge du tarn drive was amazing and the views from the hotel were out of this world. I wouldn't order breakfast as it costs 15 euro each and all you get is tea/coffee, cheese and bread... no fruit or cereal!!
Price/location/easy to find on way into mende ROOM was smokey should have complained on arrival
You get what you pay for here. The hotel isn't brilliant, but if you're travelling on the road and need somewhere to sleep, then it's fine. Do not book here if you are expecting anything other than a motel style room. Wasn't exactly five-star cleanliness but then you don't pay five-star rates.
I asked for non smoking rooms. My booking.com form stated "strictly no smoking". There were no non smoking rooms.
Good price, good possition and good breakfast.
sort of cheap a little run down place with low facilities, breakfast in a cave like room
This unpretentious but extremely efficient clean machine is to be highly recommended. Free wi-fi access. Friendly staff. Super clean. Easy access to the town center.
We found the Deltour Hotel exactly as described, a pleasant relaxing stay during our drive from Switzerland to England, apart from .......... During the evening around 21.00 hours, something above our door(pipework or ventilation equipment) produced a long and continuous drill-like drone in the actual door. As there was no one at the desk we solved the problem by inserting a thick wad of paper between the door and the door jamb. Yes, we would stay again, but not in this room unless the problem had been rectified.
Good value None really
Good for the traveler - rooms need an update eg carpet was torn - helpful to have video surveillance of car park.
A very pleasant hotel with very helpful staff. Convenient location just outside the town centre. Very good restaurant.
Position Small room, very basic
The concierge spoke excellent English and recommended a day trip that was fabulous. His knowledge of the local attractions enhanced our visit tremendously. This hotel had what we needed: an elevator, air-conditioning (although it wasn't necessary), and free parking. We didn't partake of the breakfast and we ate elsewhere for dinner.
It was simple to find on the outskirts of the main town. The area is wonderful in terms of its setting.
Staff were pleasant and helpful A bit pricey for the standard of the building etc
The dinner was very nicely done and well served; breakfast was nothing special by comparision to many other French/Spanish hotels in which we've stayed but was fine. It was nice to have a swimming pool that was not overrun by children... at least when we visited it. There was a persistent and bothersome odor in the toilet stall... as though there was a slow, festering, mildewed leak somewhere in the nearby plumbing or inadequate sewerage gas ventilation.
Clean and basic Descriptions and pictures did not really match up, very small rrom and quite basic. Two rooms booked but hotel had run out so friends upgraded to a much nicer room. Felt meals where very pricey and breakfats was 11 Euors per person!! Car parling is oppositr hotel and no in view so no security!
The dog in the lobby! No customer-centric perspective of the hotel staff.
Not much- pool- restaurant was good quality facilties were poor tea making-toaster-cold tap stuck on full-broken bathroom tiles.
The staff were very friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was a little small and the beds not that comfortable.
location and the city the room was very damped and felt very cold and it said that their was internet, but we couldn't find any. and the man in the reception was not very friendly and couldn't speak english
The room was very nice. arrive late no one at reception just a busser and a walky talky to get asscistance but note was in French (understandably) but as we were not able to reed French found it a slite problem understanding how to get anyone.
The food, location, and friendly helpful staff.
Central location in village, very attractive outside dining area, super standard of meals at reasonable prices. There were rarely enough staff around to answer queries. The breakfast was French but very limited compared to other hotels.
Staff very friendly and helpfull.
stayed at hotel de france on 17/09/10. excellent hotel. very friendly staff, especially the manager who went out of his way to ensure we had everything. had dinner in the restaurant that night which was also excellent. worth every penny.
Very cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Nicely furnished room. Very friendly and obliging staff. High quality restaurant. Even good breakfast for French standards. Worth its price.
The food in the restaurant though expensive was delicious. The manager speaks good English which was helpful. The new annex is as yet unfinished. For the price it needs those little extras. Nowhere to hang towels and only 4 coathangers. Care needed if not breakfasting as we were charged when we didn't eat,
Were made very welcome. Parking is a bit short but my reserved place was always available. Both breakfast and dinner over the 4 nights were pleasant experiences with good choice of menu for dinner. The hotel was a 2 to 3 minute walk to the centre of the old town.
Very comfortable room and very friendly staff, only used as a stopover but would return if we are in the area again. We weren't told that we would be charged for parking our motorcycle in the garage and then were charged the same rate as a car.
Our one room opened on the terrace with the swimming pool which was great! There was a door between our 2 rooms and the hotel staff opened that for us on request so we had easy access to the terrace. Room price is very good value for money. 6 Euro per person for the breakfast consisting of a glass of juice, a cup of coffee and 2 pieces of bread is way to much!
Very nice staff, the owner (Teresa) was Portuguese and very helpful, the rooms and bathrooms were very large. No curtain shower and crooked floor (it's an old building).
Two star hotel - excellent value for the money. Staff very accommodating.Food very good. Secured parking about one long block away. Small town, not much to do, but the scenery in the "tarns" is spectacular. We had the fastest and best WI FI of our entire trip. The weather turned very cool and the heat had not been turned on yet! Not the hotel's fault!
the staff the shower was very hot/very cold.,, why do hoteliers insist on out of date mixer shower taps,, a thermostat mixer would save litrs of water, and the customer would enjoy the shower more..
The room was huge. The pool was fabulous. The hotel is on a busy street in a busy little town deep in a valley. Fitting in a little swimming pool (nicely heated) is a fabulously clever thing to do! The place has lots of character, and is in several different buildings- I think being converted from two (or even three?) smaller hotels. It was a bit chaotic. We stayed two nights, and the room wasn't cleaned (beds made etc.) after the first. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss- I don't think they had as many staff as they perhaps needed for such a busy period.
The location was brilliant, right in the middle of a very buzzing town full of life and places to eat. Hotel food was excellent. Would recommend this hotel, but more for the location than the hotel itself. Hotel rooms were a bit tired and the service was not very good, particularly at dinner in the evening. Shame we had to ask for the swimming pool to be opened.
Really lovely staff, large room and a beautiful little village.
The staff was very friendly, the location of the hotel is nice and the pool was excellent, also for the kids.
Great location of the hotel for canoeing/kayaking and tourist actractions. Great size family room. Clean swimming pool. Good selection of restaurants and small shops.
The restaurant is excellent - good food very reasonably priced and owners very friendly and willing to try to please. Nice swim pool too. The mattresses/beds in the two rooms that we experienced were terrible! So "cheap and nasty" , thin and so soft, without any support, that sleep is impossible. Better on the floor! I think it would be better to spend the money on a good standard/quality of bed rather than the tv.
bedroom was clean seemed very tired and lack lustre bath was un believeably small and difficult to get out of .. for some would have been unusable every thing seemed to be about cutting corners .. finacially .. curtains were thin nets .. which let the light through in the sunny morning .. how ever bed was big and comfortable ..
Lovely guy on the desk, very helpful. Really central location on the main road though it never gets very noisy. The nets in the window are so thin they are practically see through. The shower was a sit down one in the bath but no real hardship.
