The only thing I really liked was the location. The room was very small for 2 people.
24hour room service
tremendous view--great room service ==just the place to get over jet lag. fridge temperature not cold-AC seemed a bit faulty
Location was perfect, clean, staff very friendly, amazing breakfast and good food whatever you need. Also upstairs has a nice view from the city. no problems
Good breakfast Nice people
the terrace the room was noisy, no phonic isolation. the room was very small.
Great location. Very clean rooms. The concierge person (Lulah?) was very nice, helpful and service with a smile! The rooms very stuffy! I guess the a/c was turned off. Also you could smell smoke coming from the smoking rooms. The front desk/front door staff need to smile more and be more pleasant.
the tv is very bad and poor
Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was a little small by U.S. standards, but adequate. General location was not that great.
The room had a nice seaview, TV with a lot of programs. Hotel staff on reception was rude and impolite.
The hotel was nice but had a few flaws. first, do not eat the breakfast buffet, extremely over priced. They also keep the building very warm by not running the a/c too much.
Very good location walking distrance to most main tourists attraction venue. Overall attractive hotel except for room 219 WIFI can barely have any reception and one particular security can't even speaks English.
This hotel is located walking distance to the Famous Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. This location can spare you the headache of taking a taxi. Traffic is literally a nightmare in Istanbul
The hotel is situated almost across the street from the Grand Bazaar and within walking distance of many of the historical sites, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, etc etc. Hotel is clean and efficient and provides free use of the business center. Only problem with the hotel (and this applies to most of Istanbul) is that there is hardly any English spoken by the staff!
The hotel was in a great location to be close to the Grand Bazar and most of the tourist sights. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I thought the prices for dinner and lunch were extrememly high up stairs, but there are plenty of restaraunts in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helped with directions any time we asked for them. Would stay again.
Staff at the reception were friendly and offered exceptional service.special mention to behadur, and the manager. Excellent location .we will definitely stay once again
the hotel was clean and the staff very nice. The bathroom was so small I never seen before. Rooms are also very small.
Basically a 4 star level of service with Staff training needed in the Housekeeping Dept and with Restaurant service Staff. - Overall a satisfactory experience Pillows are of poor quality and no extra pillows in rooms, Not enough towels and no where to hang your damp towel.\Poor bedside reading light
Location to old city and sites When we checked in we were told a room was not yet ready as it was still being cleaned but the couple who traveled with us and checked in right after us got a room immediately which happened to be an upgrade from our room --for which we both paid the same price---which we were told would be ready by 1:45. At 2:15 p.m. it was not ready and we waited another 25 minutes to be given a room inferior to the ones our traveling companions got. We wondered why we did not get a room immediately?
The location is perfect to get everywhere (close to grand bazar, university and at just 3 tram stop from blu musque, santa sofia and topkapi palace) the hotel is very nice and the staff is very polite. The wellness center is free and open until 10 p.m
Very clean, well run hotel. Enjoyed our week long stay. This hotel is located within walking distance of the grand bazaar. But with a tram station a block away all the main attractions are just a few minutes away. Pay the 4 lira which is about a $1.25 right now get on the tram and explore the city. Also the Metro train is just a few blocks away as well. Get the breakfast buffet very nice selection and the food is very good. Remember to do the conversion on the price $55 lira is reasonable in U.S. Dollars and a steal in Euros. no cons that I can think of
it is nice the staff make some mistake in my bill
Warm and comfortable atmosphere; competent staff; ideal location
Hotel is in the center of old city.
Some of the interior decoration Staff with attitude....air condition not fully functional... Trying to save energy bill on the comfort of guests... Room sizes ??? Old building not well insulated ...
Location, Staff, Room cleaniness, nice room they gave me looks like a studio rather than a room. Slow internet, Breakfast fair choices compared to 5 star hotel.
Very small rooms
good location and quite, a walking distance from most of tourist locations, clean, acceptable break fast, and acceptable service some days they switch of the AC so it was terrable night
it was comfortable u had to pay to use there swimming pool which is madness u pay enough to stay in the place .. bar closed one oof the nights had to use restaurant area
very kind and polited staff! very good service and good price/value ratio! I am very satisfied!
the location was great the hotel was not comfort , noisy
The rooms were clean but very small bathrooms are tinyyyy ... First off they wanted to charge 30 lira for a swim now come on u pay for ur hotel u dont expect to pay to use the pool .. The food was cold .. i got and when i gave it back to them they put the chips in the microwave with the sauce on it was horrible .. The bar closed early one night so u had to go to the restaurant area for ur drinks ... now i have to say the staff were very nice and friendly these things that happened were not there fault ..
The staff could not do enough for us. It was a great location for the grand bazaar. Lovely rooftop pool. Local restaurants were cheap and had an excellent array of local food and a taxi to Taxsim was £3 each way.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Air-conditioner was not working very well.
The stuff is very, very helpful and friendly, the hotel is well located in front of the mosque and quite near to Istanbul University and historical Sultanahmet area. It's not too big, not crowded and noisy that sometimes can happen during high season. The minibar was empty, but's not a problem to buy some beverages to take away in the hotel's restaurant in the groundfloor that's open 24 hours. To my mind the breakfast was quite frugal.
staff was helpful and smiling, except those of the dining room that smelled of sweat. I didn't like that everything was alleyways, dirty. the bathroom had just shower into the wall. I had salt water in the sink
We likes the location as it was close to most major attractions in old Istanbul. The location was a bit worrisome when we got there but we felt completely safe. Breakfast at the hotel had a nice variety of food. Across the street was a great street full of reataurants with everyone competing for your business, a wonderful chaos.
Location, hotel's design.
Right in the middle of the torist part of Istanbul easy to walk to all of the main attractions, eating places and shops, a great time was had by all of our party. Had to pay extra for real orange juice at breakfast.
Nice hotel in the center of city and close to everything.
the Location and the fact that for one specific incident they went beyond the call of duty to help me out. Although the staff was willing to be helpful they were not very specific on how to use public transportation or even give more specific instructions on how to get somewhere like the postoffice..
They don't do what they promise. Pets are not allowed. Parking is not free. Restaurant service is slow
the location of the hotel is so good, near to the Metro and also near to Sultan Ahmed area.
Employees were friendly, location was perfect for a weekend of sight-seeing and the room was also good considering that we just needed a comfortable place to sleep. Drinks in the bar are slightly overpriced.
Perfect location, Good quality roof restaurant At the breakfast you have to pay additional fee if you want to have fresh juice or espresso or omelette. The Wi-Fi internet is free, but with very poor quality!
the area around hotel. small room... little expensive 120 euro for a night
very good location
Reception was very helpful and location was fantastic--right across from the Grand Bazaar and a short walk or tram ride to Sultanhamet. I stayed here when I had a 22 hour layover in Istanbul so I was able to see things quickly. Room was very small (about 2 feet of space on two sides of the bed) and there were no surfaces to work on or put things. Would not recommend for an extended stay, but great for a short visit.
Location location location Not clean Breakfast
nice room and bathroom, staff very helpfull and nice a little bit noisy... Minibar: Fridge wasn't working.
Location , rooms , friendly staff ,historic restaurant and meals , ambience , good service . We'll come back next year.
Witnessed a fight on the day of leaving between staff
The staff was very nice and helpfull, the hotel is well located in the city centre and a large part of the monuments and places can be visited by foot from there
Thank you all was fine excelent hotel , all fine
The hotel was very clean and comfortable
Location Not right next to tram.
Ok but won't stay again because of location and ac All-OK but ac and there's nothing can be done by staff-it is what it is. I might judge it too strong ac is main thing where I'm from(Miami).Location- is good for shopper but not tourist.Don't drink at the bar-price tripled compared to local restaurants.
Very nice hotel just behind the Istanbul Cityhall. The hotel staff very friendly and helpfull, the position is very close to all the main tourists attractions and also very easy to reach by taxi all the shopping malls or shopping area. The room was ok, clean and warm. Breakfast same very morning but ok. Every morning 6 A.M. all Istanbul is awaked by praying, the silent is disturbed and for 15 - 30 min is impossible to sleep and after that you are awake already...It is not very ok to take a walk when the night is coming and also difficult to find a nice restaurant to eat in the area.
Service The fact that the taxi I had ordered turned out to be a van which was an illegal taxi to the airport and stopped to pick up another passenger. I would have been ok with it if I had been told that there would be other passengers and/or if the price was lower than the 65 lira I was charged (normally it costs about 55 lira to the airport).
If you want to explore the Istambul center and around, its a good choise. It is very comfortable to come to the hotel from airport by metro, then by tram, and to go by tram to the center of Istanbul
This is a lovely, small hotel with great personal service and a good location for seeing the main sites of Istanbul. It's well priced for the quality, the suites are both lovely and good value for money. I appreciated the hotel staff who were extremely helpful and friendly at all times. Their guidance for independent exploration was perfectand they offer other facilitated support for those who might require it.
Staff are friendly and kind. There are many sightseeng spots and a tramby station nearby. It's little noisy.
We loved the friendly staff and the wonderful breakfast on the roof. That is a special way to start a day in Istanbul---view of the ships and the sea. Rooms are fine, but quite small. The staff is proud of their hotel and make the best of an older design.
We liked everything at this hotel. The quality of service is excellent; the rooms are cozy, and well arranged. The service is one of the best I have experienced. Definitely will come back and recommend.
Its house staff, always ready to answer my questions and doubts in a most polite and gentle manner. The room was somewhat smaller than expected, but even so it was a fair deal for the price charged.
Friendly helpful staff, clean & well-furnished room. Location was good too - by foot, 3min from Grand Bazar and 15min from Hagia Sofia etc. Room was a little small.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A little noisy at night (outside noise)
Room is well designed, service is friendly and efficient, front desk manager is able to anticipate our requirements and is conversant in English (refreshingly so!), and great roof top view of the sea.
Location Small bathroom
The double room I stayed in was tastefully decorated and modern and yet still had old world charm and specific decor to that culture. I would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the service. The service in the morning was very good. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had. We appreciated their helpfulness.
The room was spacious, an upgrade, very quiet and clean
Excellent value for money - great buffet breakfast - convient for shopping, opposite Grand Bazaar
Close to the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque The "no smoking" room smelled of smoke
A pleasant, modern boutique style hotel. Very helpful, friendly staff who tried to assist with all our requests. Restaurant very good with an excellent view of the city and a good selection of food. Accommodation in the standard double room was not spacious but very comfortable and we would stay there again.
The breakfast is good, room service is qweek. Standart room very small, durk and old.
nice comfortable hotel, great location.staff is friendly and helpfull. Location is excellent, very close to the old city - Grand Bazaar area - and tramway very close
Its location, sevice, faciliteis and its friendly staff The veiw of his room
We thank You for visiting yours Hotel Zurich Istanbul. Family Laakso from Finland (with in Istanbul 50`th birtday spended "old papa") is very satisfied excpeccelly for Your hospitality. You are very welcome to Finland! no
The pool/plunge pool terrace areas were very welcoming after a hot/busy day sightseeing. The staff, especially the small older gentleman (sorry can't remember his name) were very attentive. The disco drinks were very expensive, and we would not recommend people to use it on our experience.
the room very small
The breakfast and service in hotelroom I found the hotel staff not very kind
It was conveniently located, breakfast included. Room was spacious and comfortable. Some concern about the safety of the metal strip holding the shower screen onto the bath. A slip whilst getting out of the bath and falling spreadeagled onto that sharp metal would be a horrible fall.
in wep Hotel room v big but room are so small .next time i dont want to stay in this hotel Room
Nothing Everything. Room standard - maximum 3 stars. Very hard and uncomfortable beds. Very small bathroom. Internet conection very slow and disapearing periodically for 1-2 hours. Impossible to pay by credit card - I gave two different card to the staff in the reception, but finally I had to withdraw money fro ATM - 200 m. fasr from the hotel. Very problematic to receive invoice with company name.
The spa facilities were reasonable and the food at the roadside cafe was OK! The hotel staff were friendly but very few could speak English. Dirty rooms, no one could speak English, same pathetic breakfast menu for four days, too expensive for a four start hotel, if one could only imagine how small the rooms were... Never seen such small rooms in my life where you cannot even walk or put your bags and yet you are paying through your nose... had to cut short my stay as I did not want to ruin my holiday completely:-(( Requested for an iron which was denied, No activities for kids at all and no cartoon channels.... A complete no no!
