Very nice view from the room, very friendly people especially in the restaurant, very quiet and romantical place... Beach not so easy accessable by rocks, rather expensive,
Stunning spot and amazing seaview. Beautifull rooms. The kindness of the staff The food quality at dinner is not to the average standard of the hotel.
couldn't eat or drink in certain areas outside
the staffs willingness to ensure a good time was had, they went out of their way to deliver great service. the beach facilities where perfect for us. the pool was great quite expensive for general food and beverage services
staff facilities advetised such as the gym were not available
wonderful location, luxury hotel, well maintained and well run
Perfect - romantic location Great location Amazing views
The hotel has a very dramatic location and was of a high standard The bed was a little hard and the "suites" or family rooms makes the hotel a popular choice for families with young children.
The rocks - the wather - all around the hotel with the beautifull vue I could have prefere a buffe with salat, some small italian spciality and maby a littel beef or a fisch insted of the menucart at lunch
We chose El Faro because of its location and that it had a fitness room.Very serviceminded staff! Quiet and peaceful. Very nice view. We are very satisfied with our stay there. It would be great if they played some music in the restaurant at nights. It was very quiet and it felt like we had to "wisper" to each other. The food in the restaurant was very good. If they had some music in the speakers it would feel more "welcome" and I'm sure we had used the restaurant more during our stay. The beds/madrasses were a little hard. There were lots of mosquitos in Sardinia these days and it would be great to be informed that we shouldn't keep the door open at night etc. and use mosquito prevention. We didn't know so we slept with the door open and next morning we had bites all over... The next day we asked in the reception and they gave us instructions about closing the door and the use of a small electrical device.
Clean comfortable quiet hotel, friendly staff and good breakfast. Sat nav took us miles off course for some reason, not easy to find without map! Requested extra bed by email (no reply) and webform at time of booking - no extra bed materialized. Also, restaurant closed on Sunday night.
Very comfortable and friendly staff Price is on the high side
The staff was very helpful and friendly
All the Staff were exceptionaly friendly and helpful (especially the one with the brace :>) They helped us to book another hotel, gave us advice for travelling in Sardinia etc. Even though we don't speak Italian and the staff''s english is limited, there was no communication problem. Breakfast is quite sweet. Need to take the bus or taxi to the trainstation.
The staff were, without exception, warm and friendly. There was good service in the restaurant and the food was good value. Breakfast was excellent. Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money, clean and well managed. Road signs directing you to the hotel were helpful but at some key junctions, they were missing.
Pleasant position and car parking. Don't feel it deserved 4 star rating. Bathroom towel with holes. Lift to floor 3 old and primitive, trapped bag in door and has no door open button. Had to ask for fresh coffee at breakfast, staff should come and ask us at table. Large noisy group of youths watching football on TV in evening.
The free parking is safe and the breakfast is good. For an 3* Hotel it is one of the best choices you can make. If you don’t have a car you won’t have much to do in close proximity to the hotel. The neighborhood is not the very best.
Very nice hotel with two elevators. Rooms are clean and good.Breakfast was ok. Happy again.
Very good overall. Great breakfast. A little bit out of town. Need better directions to the hotel as it was a little hard to find.
The reception staff could not have been more accommodating. Not really totally refurbished. can still see that it is an old hotel.
Beautiful uninterrupted sea views from room and one of the best restaurant views in Alghero Rooms are a bit dated, bathrooms small and expensive for what it was (€340 per night) but then again Alghero in top season is.
Nice short break , The staff were friendly and very helpfull, Good location just 10 minutes walk to the old town. Rooms were kept very clean We Stayed for 3 nights and the cost was about 900 Euro's, Very dissapointed in the Hotel in relation to value for money.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room comfortable, and the view stunning. Very nice breakfast with good service, too.
The hotel is very nice, comfortable, with a good design, overlooking the sea. Rooms are big and comfortable. Good sound isolation in the rooms. The hotel should not be rated as a 5 star! This is no more than a 4 star hotel. The air conditioner can be switched off only by the staff, you cant ajust it in the room. No complimentary (even) water at arrival. Breakfast is a complete disaster: the choice is limited up to eggs and bacon. The nearest beach is 5 km from the hotel. Some of the staff is very nice and helpfull, some is not even saying "hello".
Hotel is in a very good location within walking distance to the Old Town. Staff were very helpful with suggestions during our stay. Nothing of note.
Nice bedroom and a good breakfast Prices for everything else, e.g. drinks, food, minibar was completely unreasonable and prohibitive
Room was really spacious, modern and bed was huge!!! room and hotel very clean and service very professional. hotel is very close to old town which is very important after massive seafood dinner in one of great restaurants:) we really enjoyed our stay!! bar could be open late night:))
The freindliness of most of the staff. That is worth more than other factors considered in a hotel The bed is more rigid than I would prefer, but that is a personal preference.
Breakfast, location and parking Dinner was just ok
Breakfast was great, and location was very good also, staff where very helpful also. None at all.
Very central with excellent views. The floor I was on [7th.] had very impressive views of the bay. Breakfast was taken on the top floor [but only because the dining room was being redecorated] That was great! don't change this idea. A pool would be welcome expecially after a day's sightseeing.
Perfect cituated with a wonderful view. The room smelled bad, probably due to the drain wich seemed to not work correctly.
Location was excellent!
The location is perfect, staff is friendly and the rooms are very clean. The views, the skybar and the breakfast are the selling points of this hotel. I was however disappointed with the room as from the pictures you expect something really spacious and luxurious and it was actually quite plain and small. I also expected a balcony, but we got a room with 2 small windows instead. We did have the nice view, but it didn't really meet up to my expectation after seeing the grand pictures online.
room was comfortable
Location very close to lungomare and airport only 15 min drive Staff was not helpfull and not friendly. We arrived late saturday evening, o parking space available (hotel has no parking, even though this is a 4 star hotel) I have never had so bad value for money.
In centre. Car Parking. Ease to find. Breakfast good.
The room service and cleaning was excellent. The hotel is probally the best in Algero. The rooftop bar is spectecular offering a view of the old town and bay. It is located opposite a park and within 3 mins walk to the bay and 5 mins to all the cafe bars and shopd. The bus to the airport is outside the hotel and only costs €1.oo. If you dont like Italian food Mc Donalds is three doors away from the Hotel. The continental breakfast was very good it had hot scrambelled eggs and toast as well as all types of cold cheeses, meats fruits, cereals, and sweet cakes the rolls and bread were lovely.Alghero is a great place for a quiet relaxing holiday not for teenage kids as there are no discos or loud pubs.Lovely cafe bars and winding streets. We stayed in the first week in November. This was out of season and the hotel restaurant was closed. Also the rooftop bar in the hotel closes at ten pm monday to Friday and 11pm at weekends.Looking at the phots of the hotel I thought there was a balcony in the rooms there is not. The only outdoor area is the sliding glass partition on the rooftop bar. In the summer there is no place in the hotel to sit outside. There is no swimming pool but that seems to be the case for most hotels in Sardinia.
location to centre of town Breakfast Staff unfrienly
Helpfull hotel staff, nice location in the center and clean & neat rooms small breakfast options
warm hospitallity, space, condition of the room and bathroom breakfast can be better (more fruit and sardinian food)
Hotel was very clean and imaculatly kept. Room was very large size and decorated very nice. Overall great stay at this hotel for 4 night break very polite and helpful staff nice buffet breakfast. Hotel also close to bus and train routes to tour round the island. Any one booking this hotel will have a wonderful stay there.
Quality service, everything clean and neat. Friendly and helpfull staff, good breakfast.
the receicpcionist was the only person in whole sardinia that spoke good english :D we were very surprised :)the hotel is centric, has good rooms and is near to everything it has an old type of decoration, but we thought it gave a certain charm to it :)
It was very clean and the location is very good. The decor was very nice, new and modern. The wardrobe in our room was tiny, no parking facilities and the breakfast had no much choice or variety.
Receptionist was very helpful in recommendations for places to eat and car hire.
I had a very bad breakfast. Even water was bad (tap water but this a bad taste). My worst breakfast ever.
Nice hotel. Decorations are cool. The breakfast was good, small buffet and fresh coffee. Situated in middle of the centre. We used it for one night after arriving at the airport and on our way to Porto Torres. If you arrive at the airport and you can find still book a hotel in Alghero it is easyer to get there by bus.
Helpful staff spoke good English, walking distance to the town. Good for short stay.
The hotel was clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The staff especially the reception staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. THe room was spacious with a pleasant shower room and balcony which just about had a view of the sea. The seafront was 30 metres away. Breakfasts were plentiful. Sky TV was available but sometimes unpredictable. Poor soundproofing between rooms.
very friendly and extremely helpful staff, with excellent english, right in the centre of town, and across from beach.easy walking distance from old city. the walls in the rooms are very thin!!!so you can hear everything going on in next room.
the staff hospitality charge for motorcycle parking
The location was perfect, really close to the beach, few minutes walking to the city center. Silent. Room was really nice and confortable. Clean. TV (loats of chanels), climatisation working well. Everything seems to be renewed in the room. Nice furniture, hairdryer in bathroom. No seaside room, but it is not such a disadvantage, as the other seaside hotels might be really noisy during night (as there is a street between the sea and the hotels close to the sea),
very conveinient, about 15 min walk into town, excellent value for money. not really as you get what you pay for, it is not a 5 star hotel, but for ashort break it is ideal.
friendly staff; location of the hotel
Beautiful, light and airy family room (with flat screen TV/Sky) with some of the friendliest staff we have come across. Hotel isnt pretty from the outside but is seconds from the beach and a 10 minute walk into the old town of Alghero. We would recommend this hotel and hope to stay again soon ourselves. Only small gripe, breakfasts are basic but fine.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful scenery within easy reach.Parking just outside the hotel ideal for my elderly mother. Nothing to do with the hotel but car hire via an internet link to Hertz was unsatisfactory due to the hidden cost of "extra" insurance. The hotel does provide a car hire service (although having payed a huge price I did not enquire as to the cost). People should be warned!
Great location, right by the beach, with a lovely walk to the old city. Very nice breakfast selection The heating/AC unit wasn't very effective with heating (off-season visit).
the whole experience was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and the location is idyllic
We thought it was wonderful, a real treat. The food was excellent and staff extremely courteous and helpful. The bedrooms where kept spotless. Ideal for us both. Whether swimming in the sea or pool, or using the free bicyles. Easy to walk into the main part of the town. The only small criticism was the contrast in 'luxury' of the concrete areas where one is able to swim in the sea. Perhaps more could be done to improve this area - it seemed very crude in comparison to the wonderful gardens. Also the indoor pool didn't appear to be available whilst we were there - which wasn't a problem of course as the weather was good.
The hotel was very comfortable, staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
This is an outstanding hotel, that is secluded and with friendly and helpful staff. The beds were extremely comfortable. At the height of the tourist season, this was like an oasis in a very busy seaside resort and we could relax and enjoy the pool and the sea in peace and comfort. There was a lack of information about facilities (such as a day changing and shower area outside) and brochures for outside activities.....the only very minor quibble!
Alles mattress slightly to hard
Location was amazing. It felt secluded perched on its promentory but was very accessible for the old town of Alghero - just a 10 minute stroll to all amenities. The view from the pool and sun terrace was enchanting and we were lucky enough to see dolphins at play in the sunset on our last night (from the hotel terrace). Service and attention to detail was first class and staff could not have been more helpful. The whole place had a feeling of old-fashioned ambience and style. We will be back!
Great location, five minutes walk to the town. The pools were amazing & the rooms were quiet. Ideal for relaxing.
the hotel setting a beautiful private beach and location
the staff were very good, the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, the grounds were fab. The bed was extremley hard it would be the only thing that would put me off going back.
Beautiful hotel; perfect location; friendly staff
breakfast, cleanliness of room, staff thin walls
Hotel staff were very helpful and had good english. The room was bright, a good size and very clean. The breakfast was good. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the centre of Alghero and about 20 minutes to the beach. I like walking so this was not a problem but a car would be needed if you are staying for longer then a few days.
breakfast! bad wine (bottle open too long?) at the bar
The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. The breakfast was lovely with fresh coffees prepared to order Nothing - perfect
Quiet residential area, 12 minute walk to city center.
nice quiet area. staff friendly. no pool or restaurant at hotel. breakfast very basic. beds & pillows too hard. only 1 english speaking channell on tv.
Close to city center and a quite location. Easy to park
modern hotel, rooms have comfortable large bed
Very comfortable, clean hotel with good breakfast buffet.
Great friendly staff Fair distance from town
- location, private beach, room design, Breakfasts were terrible with very little or actually no choice. Poor quality bread, meat and cheese (only one choice of each). Italy is famous for its food and at this hotel you could not feel that at all.
The view is amazing out into the bay, pool is great. Location is also good. As it was early October there weren't many people in the Hotel, and therefore hardly any staff. The bar wasn't open in the evening, nor did the restaurant look like it opened.
It was clean and it was well kept. Staff were friendly The bar war a disaster, 15km to the next resturant, they looked at us as if we mad when we asked if we could have an evening meal there on our first evening there when we found out after 2.5hrs that there were no outer resturants anywhere between Algehero and the hotel. There is nothing in the advertisment for the hotel to tell you that a car is absolutely necessary and Taxi's are min €25 each way to the nearest resturant which were open
Location, cleanliness, nature reserves nearby, nice poll, tennis courses etc. Intact nature, absence of destructive developments in vincinity. Garbage in surounding areas,. AC units that were impossible to turn off. Super sterile artificial lighting.
It is a nice resort-type hotel. The hotel has been around for a while, but they have re-done everything last winter. Anything you see is new and clean. The beach there is not one of the white-sand types, but it is truly beautiful. The marine life there is so rich--you don't have to do anything special to see different kinds of fish and other creatures. The restaurant looked decent, but we just couldn't get a reservation there at all (we stayed the hotel three nights). This may not be a problem if you don't mind driving a bit. Alghero is not far from where the hotel is.
location is the only positive thing about this hotel I would not recommend this hotel as the hotel staff were very unhelpful and unfriendly. The hotel lacked any charm or ambiance. The pool is also very small and beside the main road so it is very noisy and far from relaxing.
Ideal location for the town centre, a nice 15min stroll noisy plumbing, and uncomfortable chairs around swimming pool
across the street from the beach and had a pool also to choose from If taking a taxi to airportt make reservations at least 4 hours prior to leaving. Not fault of hotel, just a lesson learned.
The hotel is very well situated, practically on the beach and a short walk from the town. The only staff we had dealings with were the receptionists, breakfast ladies and cleaning ladies. The receptionists were very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast staff were also friendly as were the cleaning staff. We were pleasantly surprised.
Some staff able to understand and speak english. In mid September parking was easy as we had a (cheap) rental car 7 days. Breakfast was basic, but OK, (coffee, juice (from machine), bread (3 types), yougurt, eggs, ham, cheese, simple fruit etc No warm course or other 'fancy') A/C did not work. 'Odd' if it broke down just the day before we arrived. Water 'leaked' from shower, toilet seat not screwed to toilet(!), some bulbs not working. (more or less minor 'end of season problems'?!) Poor/insufficinet lightning for reading books in bed. Quite noisy and heavy loaded street (Via Lido) just outside hotel (appr. 6-8000 cars /24h - including motorcycles etc. 'on ther way into town')
good pool - clean with adequate number of sun loungersalso access to roof was good for sunbathing away from the masses on the beach and for getting views of alghero town rooms very small with very large hallway
Staff very rude
Allowed to check in early(10.30am)
View Complained every day about the water (hotel was having a problem with their water system which went on for 5 days), all staff said was for us to run the water for 10 minutes before using. Left the hotel early. We did get some compensation for the conditions but had to argue and haggle for this, to the point where my wife burst into tears. Not impressed at all!!!!! The room was disgusting, the couch was broken, there was mould in the bathroom, the corridor to the room was unbearably hot, smelt like stagment rusty water. It took days for the hotel to fix the lock on the door. I could go on.... in short we had a miserable holiday and would be recomending to our friends never to go there.
very basic room but lovely and clean wit great balcony and view of pool.Just a short walk to beach and centre of city. Also a great breakfast spread. Dinner was not available in hotel on night of arrival so had to walk, only about 4 minutes though, down street for something to eat, which was grand really.
The position, situation & pool No
Every aspect was pefect.....spacious rooms, huge choice of breakfast, decor immaculate, generally quiet at night, helpful staff....
Nice hotel near the beach. Friendly serviceminded staff. Nice breakfast and nice pool area and surroundings. It was easy to hear our neighbours through the walls. Italian couple made a lot of fighting sounds and screams during the weekend. From the opposite room we heard snoring, coughing all throuh the night. We missed a cover matress, the bed was hard.
I liked my room with balcony facing the sea. I liked its accessibility to the sea and beach. The hotel pool was excellent. I stayed in mid October and had hoped to hire a bicycle at hotel, but this was not possible, due to end of season closure.
The staff, facilities and service accommodated all our needs and requirements. The location of the hotel, although out of town was quietly located within a short walk over sand dunes to the beach. The breakfast could be in proved.
Helpful staff, quiet, easy access to beach.
good breakfast wide choice, free parking, friendly staff ,dinner excellent. a little bit noisy.
Good breakfast. helpful staff Rooms a little dated.
Very friendly and helpfull staff, extremely clean hotel, very good value for money, this hotel is worth more then 3 stars to italian standards (we would give it 3+). Rooms are basic but very clean and confy with a nice balcony. No realy bad point, only points for potential improvement: breakfast was not bad but it was the very same every morning, quite poor selection of fruits; no fridge in rooms but that would be probably too much to expect from a 3 star hotel.
excellent hotel, 20 mins pleasant walk to town centre, quiet location, fantastic staff who went out of their way to be helpful.Nice quiet pool and small attached beach. cold buffet breakfast was ok but repetative-a few hot items would have been welcome
cleanliness, friendliness of staff, quality of food, excellent views, very quiet in the evenings ,no entertainment etc.
Very accomodating and nice staff, exellent sea view, lovely pool area and situated in a quiet part just outside the Alghero old town.
This is great hotel with it's own private beach. The pool is large, deep and beautiful. Breakfast was served in an outside marquee which was a real highlight of our stay. It is a good 10 - 15 minute walk into town but well worth it. There are great restaurants along the ocean front. Not quite up to the standard we expected for what we paid but it was peak time.
Felt the hotel was very over priced considering the general condition and facilities.
close to airport no
We loved the sea and beach being so close to the Hotel and the view from our lovely room was beautiful and so relaxing. Also we loved the walk into Alghero and all the bars and restaurants. No we loved it all.
Location and facilities. proximity to the beach. Breackfast was excellent. Distance from the "Old town" was just a little far.
Rooms basic but with great sea views, good location, 15 minute walk to old town along coast Quite expensive, not great value for money, however hotels in Alghero are generally on the pricey side. Beach very small and 2km walk to sandy beach
quiet and clean at the reception we felt that Staff was polite and smiling but not extremely helpful or cooperative (we had booked two rooms, saw one and asked to see the other one but this was refused before our children had actually come)
nothing... old and not cleans rooms, woman on the reception not frendly, tv with only sex chanels. Not 4 stars, only 2 stars
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable Impossible to find, poor breakfast, bad security (the keys to the rooms were just left out on the reception desk during the night for anyone to take).
The staff was very helpful.
Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking space adjacent to the hotel. Easy access to the main road system but in a relatively quiet location. Air conditioning in my room was not working. This wasn't a big problem because I stayed in late September when the temperature wasn't too high, but it would have been very uncomfortable in high summer.
Hotel Marini was a very neat and quiet hotel with an extremely helpfull staff. The location of the hotel isn't the best, but we (a young couple) didn't have any problem with walking to the city everyday. We only wished there to be more restaurants nearby. The hotels breakfast was excellent and the two dinners we had there were also good. Our room didn't have a fridge so we couldn't really buy any foods or drinks in the room. Although that was our mistake - for not booking a room with one. The hotels breakfast which was included in the rooms price was a good help with "the fridge problem".
The terrace and the view none
Location was fantastic and staff helpful. Rooms relatively clean, but beds were a little spartan (hard beds, thin pillows) The hotel was very noisy, had to sleep with earplugs due to noise carrying from other guests in their rooms and walking down the halls
Location Food not very good
Good food and 95% of the staff where very helpfull and pleasant. Rooms very clean Directly under flight path of nearby Alghero airport making it fairly noisy. Block bookings of groups spending a few days in the hotel on conferences did not compliment the Family holiday atmosphere
The beach was at the door and very beautiful. Alghero was 10 kms away, an easy drive and plenty of parking. The set menu and the German tourist buses, absolutely necessary but they were very loud.
Informal atmosphere and closeness to beach expensive
very friendly staff, good location, near Alghero ant the airport, good breakfast i didnt like the beach
Great staff, good facilities (the pool is excellent), good room. For me it was ideally located about 8 km from Alghero. We could relax out of the hussle and bussle of the town, but were in easy reach of the best bits of Sardinia. Breakfast was good, didnt eat any main meals there. Its a bit cheeky to charge for using the tennis court.
Lovely setting and very polite and helpful staff
Generally your staff were excellent, especially Bartelomeo and all the receptionists. We liked the view and the cleanliness of the pool. The dining room is as impersonal as a station waiting room and we are glad we booked only bed and breakfast. The chief waiter at breakfast was grumpy and rude - such a contrast to all your other staff. - The ventilation in our bathroom did not work and as there is no window this was rather unpleasant.
This hotel is very very very noisy (we can hear people snoring in the room just beside + trafic). Poor breakfast.
some hotel staff breakfast buffet, business hotel, not for holidays, dark entrance, old fashioned, location
It looks like a '60 old fashion hotel. Corridors, hall, breakfast room, suites and rooms XXL! down town, parking free, very polite staff
Generally, english speaking staff is problematic in Italy and at Sardinia especially however staff at the hotel reception was very helpful and friendly.
The shower is without curtain.
the staff were really friendly and helpful the breakfst was bad,the room is old and noisy.
There was an extremely happy atmosphere around the resort and lots of entertainment. Pool/beach/sea all very clean. We were surprised that none of the staff spoke much English. Didn't realise that it was predominantly an all inclusive resort this made it difficult for us as we were only board. No towns or villages nearby but was lovely pizzeria 100 m away.
good location we feel we have been ripped off because we were forced to pay an extra 20% when we arrived at the hotel for "utilities". These proved to be non existent - no room cleaning at all, no towels, linen delivered but just left, shower leaked over floor due to bad placement of shower curtain, no bathroom mats so we had to mop up floor with linen, self catering utensils lacked a can opener, any large knif
Exellent hotel for people by car The rooms from the see is noisy to midnight
It was at my opion no hotel, it was a bungalow park. When we arrived they did not received the booking...There where no towels in the room, I asked if I could rent or buy them, was not possible. They told me to buy them in a shop at 20 km.....The whole week no cleaning, and you must make your own bed. The Staff talks just Italian, the most did not understand English. Must hire a car.
My room was very dirty when I arrived. I eventually got clean sheets by 1130 at night that I changed myself. Hotel staff was extremely confused about my booking throug this website and attempted to charge me club fees and electric and water bills. The beach is horrible black sand that stains your clothes.
very close to the beach, staff was nice. 340 euro extra charges not mentioned at booking. The credit card machine was broken for the week that we were there, I think they did not want to pay the service charges, and made everyone pay cash. The beds were not made when we arrived and no towels or shower curtens were provided. Our refrig. was broken and not repaired until the last day of our stay. I could go on, but... Don't stay here
The bungalow was nice and quiet, private resess outside that was cool in the evening. Could hear the sea when outside. After the cyclone we were moved into the hotel as the boiler was damaged during the storm, so received free half board for one night. Nice relaxing holiday. They have a problem with ants. Shower gel and washing up liquid soon removed them from the bathroom
Particularly liked the staff in all areas who were helpful and very pleasant. Location was good and the beach area, although a bit squashed was nevertheless an ideal launchpad into the wonderful bay which was ideal for swimming. The tennis pro, Jose was particularly nice. The lunchtime menu was a little over the top. Most people prefer snacks at lunchtime but the menu was actually pretty limited. The watersports were also a bit limited - some nice racing catamarans would have been good. The decor is probably a bit tired and comparing it to El Faro which is another 4 Star Hotel, the rating is over ambitious. Walls very thin - almost as though people were in our room and we could clearly hear our neighbour's TV when it went on at about 7.45 in the morning.
Relax in the sun. Bathing. Walking and cycling around in the nature. Visiting Alghero frequently. Two much noice from rooms next door. After 14 days the repeating music became quite annoying.
The hotel was on the beach and perfect for a relaxing holiday. We went just before the main season started, so it was quiet, but this was what we wanted. There was a fairly regular bus service to Alghero town which you can buy tickets for at reception. Breakfast was basic but fine. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were fantastic!
very beutiful area, nice and relaxing
The beaches are so beautiful and perfect for children. The staff is friendly and food is great. This is our second trip here and will return yearly. I wish there was a little store or outside restaurant so we didn't have to eat at the hotel all day. It would also be nice to have beach side service, but the beach is worth any of these desires. It is a must see!
the beautiful sea view the food at the evening meal
Proximity of hotel to beach was excellent as was provision for sun loungers and sun umbrellas. Courtesy room on leaving was an excellent idea 1. No food available in hotel (restaurant or bar) after 9pm which meant that on the day of arrival we could not have an evening meal on the day of arrival, despite arriving just before 9pm but reception staff not pointing this out. 2. Location of room (directly above delivery lorry drop unload area) was very poor.
Fine hotel (some recent refurbishments) with ditto, remarkeably well- humoured, personnel-good language skills-even nl and g, and private beach. The hotel is perfectly situated vis-a-vis Alghero airport (close: 10 min drive-not 5 min..) without noticeable noise. Downtown Alghero likewise in 10 min easy reach (even a separated bike track). Fresh fruit with continental-styled breakfast, perfect made-to-order espressos/ cappuccinos, just fresh orange juice (plus white beans in tomato sauce:- ) would have topped it off. Stable (yet: paid) wifi (plus one fixed pc) in the public environment. Additionial services relatively pricy: wifi: (1) not in the room-only downstairs, (2) not free, so that recurrent burden of logging in with the usual fixed codes, but also the charge in addition to the room price: e 2,50 for 60 user mins is not necessarily a rip-off, but not sympa either. bikes: e10 for 9 hours is not a bargain, especially not if not superbly well maintained/ basic built quality. food: equally the p/q ratio didn't come across as too convincing.
all the staff was simply great! kind, effective, fast, responsive...all what you would hope to find in a hotel! Facility is a bit old and not really up to a 4 star level. Room was small, very cheaply firnished, breakfast is very ordinary, some services are not available....a typical hotel of the '80s (but not updated)
The beachside location is the selling point! We stayed for just one night, a family of 5. Check out time is early, 10am, however, it's no problem to spend the day on the beach as the staff organise a courtesy room in which to shower etc and you can leave your luggage for the day. Really friendly & helpful staff on reception. check-out time is too early, 10am!! Breakfast is good & choice varied, however, dinner menu is limited, no options for children. The beachside bar for lunch is too expensive & choice is limited. As we are a family of 5, we had to book 2 rooms which proved to be expensive, though our double room was upgraded to a sea-view, which was lovely.
Location on the beach
