A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting.
Location. View of church/castle and surrounding countryside.Friendly staff. We attended the church service on the Sunday morning. A real step back in time with the nuns completly seperated from view. If you like choral singing this was an unexpected bonus in a very atmospheric setting-even if you are not particularly religious. Very thin walls. Sounded like the person next door was in our room. Wedding party on the Saturday night that we stayed. However music did stop at midnight as promised!
Set in the grounds of a Monastery. Access roads to Hotel slightly confusing.Equivalent to our no access unless on business.Side roads have metal posts baring access.
We had a pleasant stay and found the staff extremely helpful which was highlighted because unfortunately we do not speak Spanish and were extremely grateful for their knowledge of our language, English.
In a beautiful tranquil setting overlooking the castle. We had an excellent 5 days there. The food was very good and the staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. I would go there again any time.
easy parking. quiet at night.helpful staff. excellent food. hard bed and not enough pillows
It was a very good tourist attraction. A small village. Quiet, peaceful, and private.Particularly for church followers interested in the Pilgrim route over the Pyrenees from France to Spain. An excellent Castle free entry for Hotel quests plus other free offers.
Meals times earlier would be appreciated.
Big room, very quiet
The receptionist was lovely, she also served in the bar and took food orders. Dinner was excellent value and extremely good food Difficult to find from your details given
Location is awe inspiring. The Parador itself is perfect in almost every way with the luxury that we AMIGOS have come to expect to enjoy at reasonable rates. A common flaw in Paradors seems to be the the rather brusque attitude of the senior reception desk staff where " please" is the hardest word.
The quality. Nothing was disliked.
The amazing location and views.
Professional staff and comfortable accomodation.
The way the hotel design integrated with the medieval city ..Food and service was excellent
We liked very much the atmosphere and the restaurant where we had a wanderfull meal no comments
The facilities were excellent, parking easy and pleasant surroundings Food was good but the menu a little limited.
The location was beautiful. The Terrace was lovely. The room had an LCD tv. After a room change, we had a lovely view to the rear of the Parador over the countryside behind. Huge bathroom. Our first room we were given had a view onto a wall (302) but we got a change. Noise travels in the rooms. The people above us made so much noise that we thought the games room was above us but it wasn't. Noise continued until 12.30am every night. The restaurant is very pricey for what you get and the service would have been better if it came with a smile. After staying at Parador in Cardona, this was a bit of a let down.
Excellent hotel in the town centre, ample parking. Breakfast is fairly expensive, and there are not too many alternatives nearby.
Friendly helpful Staff. Good sized room and good quality bathroom and toilet facilities with lots of little extras. Not you run of the mill plastic bulk standard. Should extend WiFi from common areas to rooms. Adsl available in rooms but who carries a lan lead these days? Breakfast available from 8 am not much good for business travellers or early risers or those wanting an early start.
Lovely setting, wonderful breakfasts, friendly staff, excellent location. no
Amazing location at the edge of a castle type town. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean. A renovated old house built into the rock. Facilities quite basic in the bedroom but a huge bathroom and spa shower. You walk out into the old castle area with superb views. Lots of walking on cobbles. We took at least 50 photos!! Lovely toiletries! Plenty to eat for breakfast but no eggs.
The staff were very helpful. The location couldn't be better and the facilities were very comfortable. They gave me a lead to connect to their system when the wifi didn't work and there was also a guests' computer in the lobby. We had breakfast at a nearby cafe on the first day and in the hotel on the second. Cafe was far better value and choice.
Mostly sightseeing and walking When we checked out the proprietor asked why there were only 3 towels in our bathroom -there were only 3 when we arrived
Wonderful hotel fantastic service amazing breakfasts, fascinating walking around the village It was like a dream come true and all 7 of us would have stayed longer if we could have. Would rave about the hotel and place to everyone we know.
A Great place to relax for a few days well worth a look
Hotel was built recently - perfect combination of new facilites in a beautifully restored old building in a quiet pedestrian street in the old town
Sos Del Rey is an amazing little town and our 2-night stay at El Peiron was perfect. The staff were all lovely and our room beautifully appointed.
The hotel itself was beautiful as was this village. nothing..everything was perfect
A gem of a hotel in the historic part of a traditional Spanish village, beautifully renovated and furnished to a very high standard. The staff were very welcoming and informative. The best hotel of our holiday!
The views from the rooms are amazing - ask for one on the 3rd floor. Basic, very few extras - no iron, minibar, etc. but expected for the price.
The view was amazing, and the hotel was very close to town, which is quaint. The food at the restaurant could have been better. It wasnt awful, but they have gone to a lot of effort with the table settings, views etc, so the food was a bit of a let down.
perfect location, very clean spacious rooms, good parking, easy to find staff seemed surprised by our arrival and were unable to translate the booking.com confirmation that we presented, hotel appeared short staffed and there was no food available
Lovely modern hotel set in fantastic contryside on the edge of a facinating old hill village. Any one of these is a reason for visiting. The manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful.
Very helpful staff in all departments - nothing was too much trouble. Personal attention from everyone and excellent advice on local places of interest. Well presented room - good restaurant - quiet village location.
Very pleasant staff, rooms spacious and very clean, good WIFI connection in room; excellent food quality in restaurant.
Friendly well ran hotel. Rooms of a decent size and very clean. Nice balcony but unfortunetly since the pics on the website were taken a small housing estate has been built which is what we were looking at.
The helpfulness of management was excellent. Nothing was a problem and information given to assist our stay in the area was great. The hotel is far enough away from Pamplona to be in a peaceful environment.
We were delighted with all aspects of the hotel and restaurant. Staff were fiendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was excellent value for money with good service. We definitely recommend this hotel.
Very helpful friendly staff, good location to be based for a birding trip, free wifi, good restaurant, very good breakfast
Everything. A very well-run establishment to be highly recommended.
It was a good location from which to visit Pamplona and the surrounding countryside. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A fantastic Hotel, Friendly helpful staff, Good value for money, Highly reccommended. None
Very clean and tody modern hotel with good room facilities. Good location. For travelling None
Location was excellent, just a few hundred yards from Sos's centre. Lovely view from the bedroom. We stayed out of season (just!) and there appeared to be no breakfast facilities at the hotel, indeed there didn't appear to be a restaurant. When we asked staff they beckoned down the road so may be there's a shared facility?
Modern, clean, comfortable; a few blocks from the old town. Nice views of the surrounding hills (but not of town, alas). Very friendly and helpful young woman at the desk (who was only there periodically, since she had duties at the hotel's bar/restaurant 2 blocks away). Free en suite Wi-Fi didn't work (but it 'sort of' worked in the lobby); couldn't figure out how to work the AC for the life of me.
Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were beautiful and hotel faciliities very nice. Parking and access to the hotel was very, very difficult. Hill town streets were very narrow,. directions to the hotel were poor. in town construction limited egress and access thier small covered parking ssuch that we did not use it on our second day of the stay.
Great location though you need to choose your route to it with care as the town has incredibly narrow roads, some of which are no through - reversing between close walls on steep slopes is not for the faint hearted. The weather was cold and the hotel didn't seem to have any heating on. Our room was freezing. The hotel looks very impressive and is very cutting edge in terms of design and technology. However, it doesn't actually work that well. There were problems with the digital TV box, the stair lighting is movement activated but only comes on when you are on the stairs - a bit dangerous potentially!
Quiet atmosphere - great view Difficult to find - very narrow streets
The chemical plant emitting a constant foul smell approx. half a mile from the hotel. Very Very expensive for a no star hostel. We moved to a Parador Hotel for the same price. No reviews were available.
I have stayed at many Hostals in Spain and this has to be the best yet. The manager is frendly but professional. The accommodation is very stylish and comfortable. The location just a five miute walk from the centre of this attractive and historic town is excellent.
Staff and cleanliness of room Compared with hotel booked at olite, which was a similar price this hotel was not as good value -no air conditioning
