I didn't get the room that I was told that I would get! Told I would get the suite they had advertised and they ''don't have one with french doors'' MISADVERTISED!!
The hotel was fairly nice for the area. The room was fairly clean but could have been a little nicer. Staff was great.
Very nice stay. 1 night with 3 kids. Parking garage was closed due to potential flooding in the JEF area but no problem finding a place to park. Good value for price. John Q. Hammons hotels are quality.
This is a decent business hotel. It's very convenient to the Capital (hence the name) and right off the two major highways that pass through Jeff City. The rooms are very nice with all the amenities you would expect. It would also be a convenient location for travelers, within walking distance of the major attractions. The restaurant and bar are ok, but not great, and might be a little pricey for families.
Very impressed! Great location. The staff were very helpful and curteous. Rooms were clean and neat and the restaurant and pool wre great. Would definetly stay again and recommend to others.
We stayed at Capitol Plaza for a large soccer tournament. The girls loved the hotel..very fancy compared to most 'motels' we stay at for tournaments. Our only complaint was paying $129 per night and having a smoking room (which we asked for non-smoking when we booked the reservation) and 1 king size bed for 2 adults and 1 child. We are glad we took our own inflatable air bed with us. The carpet and furniture in our room is adequate...kind of dirty. But, overall it was a nice experience. The restaurant was very good. Great location.
Huge disappointment. The only thing good about this hotel is the location. The restaurant was not open during the posted hours. No barstools at the bar when I arrived. The room is plain at best. Desk chair didn't function. Coffeemaker did not work. No bellman and no shuttle. The employees could provide vary little information regarding local attractions.
This hotel is in a great location but needs management very badly. Room was not what was requested at time of reservation. The heating unit was not working properly. The common areas were dirty and looked like it was used for a homless shelter. There was a charge for internet usage. The elevators were dirty
We had just come in from our long trip from CO to see Jefferson City's new stage troop 4 and Twenty Blackbirds perform at the Ellis-Porter Park outdoor amphitheater. With got in early afternoon and were allowed to check in early to prep and change clothes. After seeing this great performance we were able to come back to a well appointed room and a really comfortable bed. The next morning slept in late and then went for a walk into a beautiful downtown. This Hotel is positioned perfectly for our need, and I'm sure you'd enjoy your stay next time you visit.
In in it's day this hotel was very nice. Now it's in serious need of a renovation. The lobby looks good but rooms, even suites, are just tired and a little worn out dirty. Not many choices in JC MO but this is a little over priced for what it has become. It is part of a nice chain of hotels and someone there needs to realize this hotel is due a face lift.
Didn't receive room I reserved. Didn't receive appolgy or anything. Last time I will stay there.
This hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Everyone was very helpful and I enjoyed my stay very much.
room size adequate, bathroom - shower excellent, bed comfortable. blower on in-room AC-heat cycled on-off and was too loud, no low-speed adjustment available. Interrupted our sleep.
Quiet, comfortable, unique. One of only 8 like it in entire U.S. Nice swimming pool and hot tub. Clean all the way around. Awesome underground parking. Awesome restaurant on top floor with spectacular view! Great restaurant management. Breakfast selection was huge and all of it was delicious and the right temp. Double rooms were smaller beds than expected, but their comfort more than made up for it! Room was a bit tight, but given the hotel design, it's hard to make any more space available. Hot tub was waaay too hot with no way to regulate temp.
From what I understand, the rooms were recently remodeled, and they were nice. I would have rather stayed at a LaQuinta or Comfort Inn or something else. For the price we payed per night and didn't even have a breakfast included was ridiculous. It cost over $30 for 2 people for breakfast.
We had a nice quiet night. The room was clean and there was no odor. We each got a warm chocolate chip cookie upon check in. There was no complementary (free) breakfast. There was a restaurant in the hotel that sold a breakfast however. Somehow our credit card got double billed however they backed the second charge out upon notification.
The stay was, family oriented, friendly and the staff very helpful . The staff
Courteous staff, excellent location, clean comfortable room with a well maintained breakfast bar. Management must have read the previous reviews and fixed the problems because I didn't see any. I will stay there again. The elevator seemed antiquated but I used the stairs for exercise so it was not an issue.
Best hotel bed and pillows I've ever had! Got a good nights sleep! Breakfast service could use improvement. Nor a pleasant experience. Had to ask twice for the larger towels we requested. Front desk not well covered.
